Just read half of 张天翼秃秃大王 today. It's a fast read, if you have a full day you can finish it, and you definitely could in 2 weeks of a chapter or 2 a day for a half hour each day. The repetition of words it uses reminds me of graded readers in a good way. I think this story would be a great choice after some Mandarin Companion graded readers and Pleco graded readers as a story written for native speakers. It repeats a lot which is great for picking up/remembering words, and it's a fun little story so it's enjoyable. (I also like detective style stuff because some of my favorite stories likewise repeatedly use similar setting words for 10 chapters or so of one case before moving onto the next - Guardian does this in part 1 which is helpful, the pingxie fanfic 寒舍 does this a LOT which I found really helpful back when reading it as it switches location from an inn to a clothing store to a college to a movie set in a park/company so you keep learning useful words for a given place/kind of situation).

I figured I should read some of the stories marked Intermediate, since I seem to be usually reading Upper Intermediate (like 撒野）or a bit higher, but tend to rely on descriptive text and struggle with some "easier" stuff when description is sparse. So I figured I have some key words I struggle to recognize in simpler stuff and should check out stuff written more curtly to the point. Also i suppose it's good extensive reading in this particular story's case! It's an easier read than 小王子 was for sure! More common useful language in this, and more repetition which is good as a learner.

I am also going to check out some more stories on Heavenly Paths Intermediate category, since they'll hopefully 1. Hit my vocab weak spots, 2. Be good extensive reading for me since I read them faster, 3. They're way shorter than the 100+ chapter stuff I normally get into lol

Also regarding Readibu: I like their text analysis feature, but in all other regards use Pleco instead. Pleco is by far better for single word and sentence translation, machine audio, and pleco freezes less. Readibu keeps freezing on the Chinese webnovel sites and I have to exit out then open up again and carefully try to prevent it from freezing again. And these aren't demanding sites, they run as well as qidian in Pleco, and one site I'm on is jjwcx and on Pleco it's fine, on Readibu it crashes often and sometimes can't process the page (which makes ALL the links in webnovel recommendations to the website potentially useless if a person plans to read on Readibu). So wooh I'm glad I'm not buying Readibu. But for free, it's relatively good. Aside from the freezing, the single word translation is better than Google, the streamline text option keeps me focused and reading onward, the word favoriting tool is nice (and less huge than Pleco so I'm more likely to actually view my favorites list later - but I'm easily distracted). Idiom app is free, and ALSO has all these features. So if Readibu is crashing on you, I recommend that app instead. Idiom also does click definitions/replay for youtube videos if you'd like to study by watching cdramas!

Things you can do to help Anne With An E be Renewed

There are so many different ways big and small you can help in the fight to get Anne With an E renewed. I’ll do my best to compile all the ways you can contribute.

1) One of the easiest ways to let networks know there is a demand for more Anne With an E is to request it on their help page. Request Anne with an E season 4 so they know you want the show to continue. There is also no limit to the number of times you submit requests.

2) Watch Anne with an E on Netflix. Just constantly stream it in the lead up to the season 3 premiere. When the show premieres Jan 3rd make sure you stream the new season that day and in the days after. Not only do we want Netflix to know that the new season has a big audience, but we also want as many people watching at the same time for the show to make it to the “Popular on Netflix” category. New people may be attracted to the show if they see it is popular on Netflix.

3) Write emails to Networks. Netflix and CBC are not the only options when it comes to Networks that could renew Anne with an E, since it seems that the rights to the show are currently owned by Northwood Entertainment the production company behind Anne with an E. Many other fans have done the hard work of compiling lists of emails of network executives. I will provide links to various tweets I have seen with important emails. 4) Write emails to magazines, newspapers, websites, etc. Any form of Press about Anne with an E will draw attention to the show from people who may not have heard of it before. You could write emails to ask them to cover the news of the show's cancellation, to review the new season, to discuss certain topics the show addresses that set it aside from other shows and more. Anything that you could dream up that could be an article that could be written about Anne With an E you could pitch the idea to someone to write about.

5) Appealing to other fandoms with similar interests. Two big movies that are about to drop that have an audience that may be interested in a show like Anne With An E, would be Little Women and P.S. Screenshots of this quote have been going around all over tumblr and twitter since the P.S. I Still Love You trailer dropped. The selling point could be that if you enjoy the films and relate to Lara Jean then you should check out the stories and adaptions of those stories that Lara Jean considers peak romance. ( It also helps that the premise of the films relies on love letters and AWAE season 3 features love letters as well). When entering into other fandoms tags to recommend Anne With An E make sure you are always being RESPECTFUL and don’t just spam the tags with Anne promotion. You could always create side by side edits of the two programs to demonstrate how similar they are. Basically, make sure your posts in their tag don’t seem like a blatant promotion for AWAE.

6) Rate Anne with an E on IMDb. (Note: It is listed as Anne(2017) on IMDb). Right now Anne is listed in Top 250 TV Shows, but it is toward the bottom of the list at #248, with an average show rating of 8.4 stars. If enough fans rate it, the show could move up on the list, which may attract new people to watch the show. You can rate the show overall, and rate each episode individually. Plus you can leave a review.

7) Watch the Anne With An E Netflix trailer and share it with others. The more views on the trailer the better. The trailer is available on Youtube and Instagram. On twitter, people are organizing trailer boosting parties for Dec 23rd - Dec 30th.

My Notion Tutorial

Helloo, lovelies

I have not been doing much at all since my last update as it's been lockdown so I can't go out anywhere and I don't have much school work to do.

So. I have decided to give you all a quick look at my Notion. I created my account a few days ago and have been spending a lot of time working on making it look how I want. There are some personal pages that I won't be sharing but I will post screenshots and descriptions of a few of my pages.

This is my front page. I have links to most of the pages I've created on here. As you can see, it is organised in categories to help me navigate or so I can instruct others who are trying to find a page if they are ever on my account.

Clicking on "Reading List" from my Personal Home under "Daily" will open this page. It has books, movies, tv shows, and documentaries I want to read/watch as well as a status that I can change if I begin reading or watching something on my list.

Clicking on "Things I Want To Learn" from my Personal Home under "Life" opens this page. This is just a list of things I want to research in my spare time that I have come across. Once I have researched the topic, I will either link to a sub-page, Google Docs, or the website that all the information is in.

Clicking on "Time Management" from my Personal Home under "School" opens this page. The text on the left-hand side leads to further pages which I will show under this. The text on the right-hand side link to a YouTube playlist I made and a Spotify playlist I listen to when I'm doing my work. It's mostly Lofi.

This is what my time management for school looks like. This is my plan for my current History assignment. The dates on the left indicate the date I want the task completed by, the text in the middle is the tasks, and the column on the right is where I check if it is done or not.

.The last page I want to show you all is my Stories page. This can't be reached from my Personal Home, but there is a menu that comes up when I hover my mouse in the top left area of the screen that can lead me to this page. As you can see here, I have a section for my creative writing and a section for fanfics that I want to go back to (I will definitely be adding to that list when I have time).

A lot of these pages were inspired by pages I've made on Evernote or in Google Docs. I moved them all to Notion as Docs has limited space and Evernote has a lot of subscription options that are taking over the site. Notion is looking like it is going to work well for me. The only small issue I have encountered in the last few days is that there isn't an option to stay logged in so I have to log in every time.

However there are scholarly articles that make sense of how it would be mistaken by some actions taken by other people in regards to correlations between the U.S and certain extremist groups.
