We have to remember that there's the family that you're born into, and then there's your chosen family. That's what we are. We're a chosen family, and it's a rare thing. — Guillermo de la Cruz, "The Portrait" (S3E10)

I know there's a bunch of fans who have fallen out of love with the TV adaptation of The Witcher because of it's deviation from the books/games, but I don't think I can explain how wonderful it is to see an Indian Hindu woman, a person of colour, playing a powerful, beautiful female main character that is literally loved by thousands across the globe.
I'm third-generation British Indian and grew up watching shows with main characters that never, ever looked like me. I cannot applaud the casting of Anya Chalotra as Yennefer any more than I already have.

Random thing I learnt while doing research for a paper:
The beginning of German (radio) broadcasting history started in the so called Vox-Haus (Vox-house) with the broadcast of the first radio show for entertainment.
And there is a TV channel in Germany which is called VOX and its colour scheme is red-black.
Vox, I have questions.

Television Co-founder Tom Verlaine Dead at 73
- “This man’s importance can’t be overstated,” Scott Metzger says
Tom Verlaine, the guitarist and singer who co-founded the influential punk band Television, has died at 73, Rolling Stone reports.
The magazine cited Patti Smith’s daughter, Jesse Paris Smith, who said Verlaine died Jan. 28 following a “brief illness.”
“More 2023 fretted heartbreak,” a “saddened and bummed” Vernon Reid wrote on Twitter.
“One of the great punk lead stylists. Tom Verlaine was a true downtown hero.”
Television’s 1977 debut, Marquee Moon, is considered a touchstone; it is one of only two albums the band released in its initial incarnation.
“Not many first-time-hearing experiences in my life compare to the first time through Marquee Moon,” drummer Steve Gorman (the Black Crowes/Trigger Hippy) tweeted. “There weren’t any words then, and there really aren’t any right now.
“Damn.”
Guitarist Scott Metzger of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead concurred, calling the LP “a holy grail of creative rock guitar, song craft and arranging that I always end up going back to year after year.
“This man’s importance can’t be overstated,” Metzger wrote on social media. “RIP, Tom Verlaine.”
After Television’s demise, Verlaine would release nine solo albums between 1979 and 2006, even after Television reformed 1992 and continued to play sporadically. But Marquee Moon had the greatest impact; Jason Isbell said he and the 400 Unit walk onstage to that LP “most nights” and he called Verlaine “the realest deal.”
“May Tom Verlaine rest in peace and love,” Todd Rundgren’s Spirit of Harmony Foundation said.

Despite the title, this was the theme to the final two years of "Noel Edmond's Multi-Coloured Swap Shop" back in the 80's, not "Saturday Superstore" (Which was Swap Shop's replacement)

📺 Mono 🗝
Mono is 9 years old, just a few months older than Six.
Mono’s hat collection is a lot more extensive than we see in game. The hats we collect in game are just the hats he’s collected recently. He has more, including a Native American Bonnet and a Gas Mask. (Which are actual hats that were cut from the game).
Mono wanted to keep the Bully head as a hat, and was actually kind of sad when it broke.
Mono has had the broadcaster hat for as long as he can remember. It was the first hat he ever collected, finding it even before he made his paper bag. It’s one of his favourites because it’s the most comfortable and (in Mono’s opinion) the most stylish, but he doesn’t wear it that often because it doesn’t cover his face and especially eyes very well, which is the entire point of the hats.
The paper bag was the second hat Mono ever collected, and he actually made it himself while he was in the orphanage that eventually burnt down. It’s another one of his favourites because it’s one of the more comfortable ones (but not nearly as good as the broadcaster hat) and it does the best job of covering his eyes while not sacrificing his ability to see.
Mono keeps his hats, keys, flashlight and TV remote in a sort of hammerspace/pocket dimension. It’s one of his powers and the only one that he doesn’t hate. When storing/removing something, the object disappears/reappears in his hands in a small burst of static.
Mono hides the fact that he’s doing this by sticking his hands into his trench coat whenever he pulls out or stores an item. He mostly does this because he doesn’t want Six to know about his powers, believing that she’ll start seeing him as a monster, but he also does it out of habit whenever he’s alone.
Mono’s eyes glow. The coloured parts of his eyes glow with a pale blue light. When he’s using his powers, his eyes go from “normal except for some glowing coloured parts” to “nothing but pure static”, as his eyes are completely replaced by static.
Mono’s eyes are heavily connected to his powers, with his powers being stronger when his eyes are exposed and weaker when his eyes are covered up. This is why he removes his hat to fight the Thin Man, but isn’t why he wears his hats in the first place.
Mono’s eyes cause aggression as well. Anything that looks at his eyes becomes more aggressive towards him, from adults to children. Adults will do anything it takes to kill him as long as his eyes are visible. Viewers are especially affected and will even IGNORE TELEVISIONS in favour of trying to kill him. Children will suddenly find themselves hating Mono without knowing why. This is the true purpose of Mono’s hats. To keep his aggression causing eyes hidden.
Mono doesn’t lose this ability when he becomes the Thin Man. He just learns to turn the effects on and off. And since the only thing that the effect does is make people hate and attack him, he never turns it on. There’s no reason to because all it does is make his life harder.
Mono’s cursed eyes don’t always make everyone hate him no matter what though. You can become immune to the effects if you’re already close to Mono and trust him before you see his eyes. Take Six for example. Even as a distorted and super aggressive monster, she doesn’t get angry at the sight of Mono’s eyes. She already knows and trusts him enough that his eyes don’t have any effect on her. She only gets mad when Mono attacks her music box.
However, Mono’s eyes did play a minor part in Six dropping Mono. You see, regular Six with a soul already knows and trusts Mono enough that she can just shrug off the effects of Mono’s eyes like it’s nothing. Monster Six may not have a soul, but the transmission running through her acts like an artificial soul of sorts, so she’s still aware of everything, is capable of (semi) rational thought and knows Mono well enough to be able to shrug off the effects, at least until Mono attacks her music box. But the soulless Six we see at the end of LN2 and throughout all of LN1 is running off of pure survival instincts and emotion and isn’t able to resist Mono’s eyes. It isn’t the only reason that Six dropped Mono, a whole lot of factors were at play there, but it definitely played a part, greatly enhancing Six’s anger at Mono for destroying her music box.
