Back in 2021 towards the end of the year, mama asked if I would make a centrepiece doily for her table, of course I said yes and this is what I made, I took this photo to show her before I blocked and gave it to her, obviously I don't own it any more and I forgot to take a post-blocking photo so this is the best we get. There ended up being a few mistakes in it but she loved it and therefore I like it too.

I can't believe I haven't posted these guys on here! They are one of my best projects ever!
They are microcrochet dinosaurs made up of African flower hexagons and pentagons (and a couple other shapes). I did not follow a pattern for either of them.
While I love these guys, I will probably never do microchet again :)

Don't know who else could use this, but J&P Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen is a Size #5 thread. Omega and DMC both make a #5 in a bunch of colors.

Gonna try irish crochet because working with thread is unreasonably fun! Just have to figure out the netting
I'll probably transfer these to some fabric since the pins are hard to work around tbh

one of my first little projects intended for me alone! I got a yarn cutter medallion for the holidays and needed a cord for it, so I decided to crochet one!
chained some crochet thread with a 2.25mm hook until it was long enough to fit around my head, then a bit more because I knew I wanted to do a moving knot, and went back up the chain with a slip stitch. I didn’t bother weaving in ends and just tied a few knots at the end and cut the strings off, since it’ll be behind my hair anyways

Pokeball Coin Bag
Crocheted with red heart size 10 crochet thread with 1.5mm (or US 7) micro hook.
I'm very happy with this, I wanted something small and cute to put in my work bag to keep change in.
(and sorry, i dont have a written pattern, i always just make stuff out of my head without patterns, they're confusing for me)

I crocheted this rainbow mesh sweater!! You can't see it in the picture but it's also shiny in the sun because it has a little metallic thread. It is worked top-down and has raglan sleeves. I used a 3.25mm hook and around 3 skeins of Aunt Lydia's Mexicana and around 6 of Aunt Lydia's Pearl (white metallic) (the thread came in different sizes).

I recently made something really, really cool. I posted about my giant African flower hexagon triceratops on here a while ago, but I recently made a mini version with crichet thread! It turned out so cute!

Thread question for fellow crocheters and weavers
What does it mean when I see a thread listed as 8/2 or 6/4 or something like that? Is that the thread weight and then the ply?
Trying to track down some weird thread weights for some vintage patterns, and I think I can use some of the threads listed like this, but I don't know what it means.

It has come to my attention that everyone needs to know what type of thread I use. I get questions and compliments about this the most.
My go to thread is the no. 10 crochet thread. Thick but not too thick and strong. 100% cotton means soft, washable, biodegradable and even able to be dyed. Already comes in a huge selection of colors.
The other size I use, but not as often, is no. 3. It's about twice as thick for more heavy duty applications. Also comes in loads of colors.
Here's a comparison of crochet thread sizes for a better visual. Size 20 is already thicker than regular sewing machine thread.
Keep in mind this is also different from embroidery thread. Which I don't recommend for my type of stitching style or for sewing fabric together in general.
It's available online and in the crochet section of your local fabric or craft store for liberation.
🪡 Good luck! 🍻
