Dear God,

Tonight I ask that you help us remember that this world is temporary.

This life is temporary.

Our problems, our heartbreak and pain - all temporary.

We know this, Lord, but it’s so easy to get overwhelmed by our emotions and begin to feel hopeless and lost.

Let us always be reminded that nothing in this life, good or bad, will last forever.

Help us not to get so caught up in the temporary things we are faced with here,

That we neglect the things we need most.

YOU.

Your word.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. I

(Luke 21:33)

Help us to remember that our happiest moments here on this earth and our most painful moments of suffering are all as a vapor, it will be over so quickly.

“For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” (James 4:14)

Help us to remember to put our faith, our hope and trust in You.

Help us to rest in Your peace, knowing that when this life is over we can be with You for eternity,

If You are the Lord of our life.

Help us, Jesus, to remain faithful to You, and to always be thankful for Your faithfulness to us!

We fail often, Lord, but You never do!

Thank You, for Your Grace, and Mercy and Love.
