Please submit asks suggesting meanings for F. O. L. in the name of the orphanage. They can be serious suggestions or shitpost suggestions.
All submissions must start with those initials. But you can insert little things like "a" and "the".
Some examples I've come up with:
For Our Lords
Farm Of Lords (or) Farm Of the Lords
Farming Our Lords
Farming Out Lords
I'm curious to see what others can come up with.
Submitting them as asks makes it easier for me to focus on the individual submissions. I don't expect to get a ton of them; there're only so many word combinations that could possibly fit, even with articles like "a" and "the" added....
Wow. It's been a helluva year. As I draft this rec I am just filled with so much love. For everyone that writes and reads and shares stories about a character we all love so much. I am so thankful for each and every one of you. This is going to be the most self indulgent rec of the year.
And by that, I mean, this isn't a rec at all.
What I want everyone to do is go find a Scott centric story you loved reading this year and tell the author. You can reblog the rec if that's easier.
You can just copy/paste: "I wanted to tell you this was one of my favorite stories this year."
If you're comfortable reblog this with a link to the fic.
So many of our authors feel discouraged and disheartened when writing Scott centric fic and let's spend today giving them a little extra love.
Here's to 2023 and another year of fun, fic, fandom, friends and joy.
npd culture is sending one of these and instantly being like "why haven't they posted it yet?? that has to be the best, most relatable thing they've ever gotten, so why hasn't it been posted yet???"
Rationally I know that you probably get so many asks and things are probably on a queue or just take a while to sort through and post all of it and such, and this account is easily my favorite thing on this site so I hope this doesn't come off as a serious complaint at all, but you know how it is.
It's a little while after 6am, and I'm awake and in here because, around 5:50am or so, I woke up from a nightmare.
I dreamt I was posting to Tumblr, and I wish I could remember exactly what I'd posted; it was Kuroshitsuji analysis of some kind, and it was a relatively short post... but as soon as I had posted, the post was sent to my "Review flagged posts", and the message on it said "post was reported for gross historical inaccuracy". The explanation also went on to say I could make corrections and resubmit the post.
I was livid and trying to figure out what the "gross historical inaccuracy" would be. In my dream, I even posted real quick to say "whoever reported my post for 'gross historical inaccuracy' should just help me correct it instead of reporting it". And someone contacted me to admit it was them. I found out from them what they thought was so inaccurate, fixed my post, and then blocked their ass. 😆
But what really got me angry was a two-parter: 1. Who reports your posts for mistakes like that instead of just trying to help you fix them? And 2. When the heck did Tumblr add the options for all that? Like reporting for inaccuracy... and being able to edit a reported post for resubmission. It was like Tumblr had turned into a Facebook group.
