News has come out that Tortuguita was shot 57 times with many of those wounds in the back. These officers should all be charged with homicide, but it is likely they'll be let off. I implore everyone to call Andre Dickens and make sure these sick fucks never know a moments rest.

On top of this, the City of Atlanta has closed Weelaunee's people park in order to curb these protests. And they've started cutting down trees in a large area known as the "Living Room" where many events were held. There's currently a petition to open the park again .

Anywho, whole city's gone to shit and Dickens is brining in more private funding and organization like the ACLU are no longer allowed to attend city meetings on Cop City and likely nothing will be done about the homicidal cops 😵‍💫

Avert Climate Disaster/Subvert Disaster Capitalism

Coal must be phased out 7x faster than is now happening, deforestation must be reduced 4x faster, and public transport around the world built out 6x faster than at present, if the world is to avoid the worst impacts of climate breakdown, 'new research has found'. [Guardian, 2023]

Shutdown about 240 average-sized coal-fired power plants a year, every year between now and 2030.

Construct the equivalent of three New Yorks’ worth of public transport systems in cities around the world each year this decade.

Increase the rate of growth of solar and wind power from its current high of 14% a year to 24% a year.

Cut meat consumption from ruminants such as cows and sheep to about two servings a week in the US, Europe and other high-consuming countries by 2030.

Por suerte siempre hay gente dispuesta a defender los bosques y se han establecido campamentos desde hace meses para frenar la construcción. Pero la policía no cesa sus intentos y en uno de ellos lamentablemente Tortuguita, uno de los defensores; fue asesinado.

March 5, 2023 - Hundreds of forest defenders chased away police from a security post in Weelaunee Forest at the construction site of Cop City. The activists burned security and construction equipment and destroyed infrastructure. Thirty-five people were arrested by police, you can donate to the Atlanta Solidarity Fund to help them out. So, let me introduce you to the diabolical GILEE program Atlanta cops have with Israel

If you follow this blog, you probably know I have a lot to say about Atlanta Police and Atlanta in general.

Anywho, the Atlanta Police and Israel have this deal called GILEE (Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange). Basically, we send Atlanta cops to Israel, and Israel send cops to Atlanta. Started to enforce the Olympics in 1996. I linked the actual program's website, and it's straight out of a dystopian sci-fi novel.

Israel will use cop city to train more genocidal law enforcement against Palestinians!

And, worst cop city is set to be completed by Next December

Please please please don't forget about our fight to save the Atlanta forest. And please please please remember that this facility will be used to train all cop, essentially making us the world's police force. I am begging you to call your reps and continue to be disruptive in order to stop this monstrous facility being built. Atlanta is already having flooding and biodiversity problems because this forest was cut down (I know because I collected the data). Anything will help. And trust me, we need help.

per Atlanta Community Press Collective, Tortuguita was killed by police while seated and with their hands up. I know there have been some posts circulating about this already, but please keep it going. Atlanta Police Foundation’s narrative has and probably will continue to dominate the narrative because mainstream news orgs have just been parroting police press releases (as they do).
