Quick Moroccan Mint Tea

Recently I moved and have a Fresh Thyme Farmers Market right around the corner. Seriously, like, when it's warmer out, I can walk there no problem. But they have their own cold teas, and I decided to pick up a bottle of their Moroccan Mint Green Tea when I first went.

It is so delicious! Perfect balance of the green, mint, and sweet.

I think I had an interest in Moroccan Mint tea before because I've had a big thing of spearmint in my tea cupboard for a while. So I decided to look up how to make Moroccan Mint tea myself so I can save money and have it whenever.

But when I looked it up, it requires fresh mint. I do have some fresh mint trying to take over what little ground I have out back, but it's not doing to well right now against the cold. Also, I want to use all of that spearmint I bought however many years ago.

So I looked up how to make it with dried mint. Thankfully someone said you can use 2 tsp of spearmint with 3 tsp of gunpowder green. And then you also add sugar. I tried just the two teas last night and it was great! Today I added some sugar to my cup before putting the tea in, and it was perfect!

I'm sure it's better with the fresh mint and the pouring technique, but this makes use of what I already have. Also, I know it's not authentic Moroccan Mint tea, but I'm happy with it!

i made the chamomile cake with strawberry icing from this post and y’all……………….it really is tasty

#peach stuff #ever since i saw that recipe three days ago i couldn’t get it out of my mind. i needed to know #and tbh it wasn’t that hard to make ? it was a bit time consuming since you have to steep the tea in the butter and milk for an hour #and crushing the freeze-dried strawberries through the sieve was a bit annoying - would probably work better with a mortar and pestle #but all in all not a difficult process at all! my cake sank a little in the middle and im not really sure why that is but i just flipped it #so it still looked pretty on top. no harm no foul #AND THE WAY IT TASTES……..its not a sweet cake by any means - the chamomile is a gentle flavor so its more like #a mix between a pound cake and a corn bread. and the icing is so sweet sour delicious that it helps bring a bit of sweetness while still #mixing well with the subtlety of the cake. anyway not to be pretentious about it but this shit slaps #i need to write down the recipe to save it - both of my parents really loved it too

black tea. bergamot. lavender. vanilla. maybe just a little bit of orange blossom.

... it's london fog. murdoc smells like london fog to me. specifically london fog made with lavender earl grey. i imagine he wouldn't use perfumes or scented oils or anything like that on himself - that's far too much sensory input - but he creates and blends brews of tea. so i imagine he smells like his craft, as one tends to do.

it helps not only that he likes the smell of tea, but that he always has tea on him, or at least in arm's reach. tea is comforting to him. tea scents are comforting, good sensory input. and you never know when you might need to brew up a nice, warm cup for someone who needs it.

so yeah lmao boy's got tea leaves in his pockets. at least he smells good kjdhfdskjsm.
