Fave Scenes: Honestly has to be in episode 9 or 10? Where Finan is all "We have the element of surprise they do not know you're here" and then you hear someone scream "Uthred!" That and any scene with Finan and/or Hild.

Least fave scene: Edwards last scene with Uthred and Thyra's last scene(Whoever wrote this scene I actually hate you)

AYY you have immaculate taste tho, the bois are amazing and Sigtryggr was absolutely iconic. He was iconic!! Like especially when Edward bitches out and he's just like "ye so. FUCK U." That was amazing frfr. honestly, if i succeed in fulfilling myself that you replied, it'll raise my faith a little bit when/if I see that you replied.

I've been on this journey for the longest time I'm talking divineangelbee, planet, cine, bibi, dreamgrlsworld, daphne, the void obsession, the alpha waves, the mindless or just feeling while affirming, the self and void concept challenges for 2 weeks, and now applying states after edward art and neville and having things click with aphroditeapprentice and blushydior etc ; applying for months. But guess what idk what is happening and what's holding me back!

i know that if i was in the state, I obviously wouldn't be sending this message but since it doesn't matter what I do in the 3D and my human self wants to ask for help, I will ask for guidance.

I've even fulfilling myself, returning to the wish fulfilled whenever I think of my desire, I prioritize the inner man over getting physical results but you know, if someone was doing it right, it would reflected by now right? of course it would because it's the law.

I don't why it hasn't done so yet and l'm slowly and at the same time very quickly losing my faith because it's been like what, 2/3 years since I found out about the law from tumblr? I KNOW I'm meant to be living my dream life in a little cottage in Europe or big mansion in LA, I KNOW I was meant to succeed and live a life of my dreams because I deal with hard things in my life, I AM! I'm going to try my best to answer this without further confusing you so sit tight and in the case that I do bring forward any confusion, do let me know.

In a nutshell, the point of manifesting (or moreso the purpose of life itself) is to appease hunger. That is, to free yourself from the feeling of desire (wanting something) by giving it to yourself whether it's money, the mansion, the dream life, appearance, I could go on and on because whatever you want to acquire is possible of being acquired (because imagination is limitless). If you know the law, you know imagination creates reality so imagination will always be your workshop and that is essentially how you change self (I AM).

Imagination isn't separate from reality because imagination is reality itself. Man's greatest downfall has been to separate the two as completely independent when that could not be further from the truth. When you turn to imagination and you use it to think about what it would feel like to have the face card and the mansion and the dream life, you are present in that moment to the point where it feels like a real experience. If you allow yourself to bask in the feeling of the wish fulfilled, it's as real of an experience as you reading this very post. Neville has previously discussed procuring the wish fulfilled in a way as if you are traveling through time to the end and witnessing the outcome firsthand, then you make your way back to the present and trust that it will unfold as you experienced. It's like when you watch a film you've previously watched and you already know what the ending is, you don't stop to think what could happen, you already know what will because you saw it yourself.

If time is a relevant concern for you and you're looking around to see if it's there, I'm afraid to say you haven't fully yielded to it. You simply thought of it and not from it. If you experienced it and knew that it was done, you would be appeased from hunger and you wouldn't desire it anymore. How could you want something you already have? Time is an obstacle that is standing in between you and the state of consciousness that asserts you as being someone who has the desire in question already in their possession. When you nail yourself to that state and I mean you fully yield yourself to it to the point where you don't feel separate from it anymore, the feeling of desire will vanish. You don't care about time, you don't care about the senses, nothing moves you. Why would it if you know it's yours? (Hint: this is the Sabbath)

I constantly receive so, so many "I did all of this, why hasn't it happened?" questions and I believe you when you say you really gave it your entire heart, but you should sit and ask yourself genuinely if you actually focused more on the thing itself versus quenching the desire you have for it.

I'm here once again to swear by the State Akin To Sleep and why I love it so much. I won't repeat the process since I went into it quite extensively so I highly suggest you read the post.

“Whatsoever you desire, when you pray, believe that you have received it, and you will.”

When I started understanding the SATS through the idea of it as "praying", it made so much more sense to me. You're not visualizing to get, you're visualizing to feel its reality so desire vanishes. If you use imagination to feel its reality (believe that you have received it), the 3D will follow and it shall materialize. This is one of the reasons why I love the state akin to sleep so much. It's such a simple and easy way to define the end and identify yourself with it.

When I use the SATS, I let myself sit with the wish fulfilled by thinking of what the end would look like, what would I hear, who would I be with, what would I see, etc. and I focus on it until I'm consumed by the feeling and acceptance of it and then bring myself back. I trust that my prayer has been answered because I felt the reality of it, so that must mean it's already mine. If for some reason I would feel doubtful or separate from that state of consciousness, I would simply induce the state again and focus on its reality. Do this as many times as you need to until you no longer feel compelled to because you're certain that your prayer has been heard (See: the Sabbath).

I highly encourage you to assess how you're going about manifesting and to use the State Akin To Sleep to catch the mood so you can nail yourself to it. You said it best yourself, you were meant to succeed and live the life of your dreams. Remember that failure is only an option if you let it be one. Don't give up, my love <3

It's hard to say what's going wrong because I'm not in your head. I don't know what kinds of states you occupy during your day, I don't know if you're actually persisting, and I don't know if you're truly identifying with your inner self. To be honest, people can say that they're doing everything right, but when it comes down to it, they're still in a state of lack. The only thing I can think of is that you might be in a state of waiting. If you're wondering what you're doing wrong, looking to the 3D for confirmation constantly, and not feeling like you truly have everything you want, then that may be your problem. The thing is, the way the law works is a little backward. You need to believe before you see, feel before you have it, and be the way you want to be internally before it expresses externally. But again, I can't know what's going on in your head, at some point, you just have to take a look inward and honestly figure that out for yourself. I wish I could help you more, but there's really so much I can do in the position I'm in!

My qualifications are that I’ve been listening to K-pop for 6 years, so I kinda know a lot. Also no hate to any of the artists mentioned, you can have your own opinions and I’ll have mine. Silly little post enjoy!

Edward:

-exclusively listens to K-drama OST’s

-mainly for the instrumental and piano

-listens to the Best KDRAMA OST: of all time playlist and ranks them by instrumental

-secretly does watch K-dramas but claims its to help “appreciate” the music, has cried to almost every drama he’s seen

-Does not understand the appeal of K-Pop groups, prefers what he believes to be the classics

-Though, Alice once showed him RM’s album Mono and is now his biggest fan

-“No, you don’t understand guys if I met Namjoon we would get along perfectly. We could go on a museum date together and talk about life.”

-Loves RM’s newest release Indigo and locked himself in his room to reflect on the lyrics in the album.

☆ Loves saying German jokes in English to Edward and/or Oliver bc they make no sense in English.

In OFMD canon, from what I understand, he physically mutilated Izzy multiple times and psychologically and physically abused People of Color, on top of the regular list of Pirate Crimes. So your fav, just like everyone's favs, is also problematic.

But Izzy Hands is also...not my fav? I don't watch OFMD? I made a tiny text post because a lot of my mutuals were upset, and I wanted to comfort them because I know what it's like to dedicate a lot of time/effort to a show and feel let down. It wasn't that deep. As I said in my properly tagged post, I don't watch OFMD because I wasn't able to separate the historical figures of Stede Bonnet and Edward Teach from the characters in the show, who were both very bad people in real life. Thankfully, the begging and pleading worked and he was released from his foster parent’s care. I'm not here to sing the praises of Yitzhak Rabin or the Oslo Accords, but I think Netanyahu's reaction to them is pretty telling of his general political philosophy. The Oslo Accords were a pretty good deal for Israel, and many Palestinians, such as Edward Said, opposed them.

But even the mild concessions toward peace that the Oslo Accords had Israel accept (mainly recognizing the PLO as the representative of the Palestinian people and withdrawing from a few areas of Palestine), were apparently too much for Netanyahu and the Likud party. Rabin was called a terrorist and traitor, and Netanyahu led a rally with a mock noose for Rabin. Netanyahu was alerted that his violent rhetoric could lead to Rabin's assassination, but he ignored the warnings and continued. And what happened? Rabin was shot by a right-wing Jewish extremist, who cited the same rhetoric as Bibi Netanyahu

So given that even the mildest overtures toward peace, even ones which are overwhelmingly favourable for Israel, are still enough for Netanyahu to proclaim betrayal, I have no confidence his government will do anything to promote peace, ever. He doesn't care about Palestinian lives. He doesn't care about the abject horror and suffering within Gaza. he doesn't even care about the lives of the Israeli citizens he is supposed to protect.

If you want to lay blame for what's happening right now, it is squarely at his feet, and the feet of his party, Likud, and their supporters in Israel and abroad.

Finally finished TLK and my gosh, what a show. I really came in expecting a mediocre Viking piece but this was actually really good. The characters actually changed over the course of the show and became so interesting. The ending was quite satisfying. I do see what y'all mean that the female characters don't get treated well. So many of them except for like Aethelflaed rarely ever seemed like they had their own agency. Like their characters always revolved around others. Apart from that great show, solid 8/10. Thanks for recommending this.

Like God YES it's crazy how Aelswith goes from the literal worst to the best, and God I hate Edward but he is so complex and well developed it's like he still holds a special place in my heart at the same time?? Gosh gosh yeah they always miss writing female characters, and I think they really suffer from not understanding that they should be able to stand alone. Like they have moments of small things that rlly add, like Brida killing that shaman was a moment for me, as much as I think it was unnecessary, Hild's moral dilemma with killing was at least depicted pretty neatly, but overall their female characters just fall flat :/ Only out lady of Mercia and like, Eadith I'd say escaped that treatment.

Quick update for the anon who sent accusations about aristotels—given a lack of any followup evidence, I had someone I trust go through their tag for anything fitting the accusations, and I have come to the conclusion that guilt cannot be proved, and more importantly, they should not be held to American taboos. I mean, I got into an apparently quite heated conversation about the importance of cultural context, I'm not going to go back on my word now. Think before you discourse.

And further, I am not the person to judge someone for not being 100% acceptable vanilla. I would be throwing stones from a house of glass cards; although I don't talk about most of those cards, I do, uh. Write Edward Snowden RPF. So.

Speaking of, chapter 13 is out! It's not actually any more of my own writing, as I couldn't figure out how to structure the May 7th meeting while incorporating my Official Sources. So I just put the primary sources in their own chapter, and I'm in the middle of trying to write the POVs for that chapter.

Unfortunately I write slowly (and delete things if I find a source they contradict, which is what happened to about 10k words of ch. 13 attempts), but eventually I'll finish up this fic, which will go through the end of July 2013 (Ed accepts asylum the first of August). I've casually dropped one reference to the top secret negotiations, and Bill and Jake will make appearances later in this fic, but that whole shebang is going to be in a later story (I wish I could just have it all written right now, it's so important, especially the Kerry-Lavrov axis! But alas, I'm more GRR Martin than Stephen King).

I'm introducing the Kerry-Lavrov axis in this fic (which chap 13-14 are particularly meant to do), but the payoff is going to come in the sequel, which is going to be from Aug-Sept (or -Oct bc of the government shutdown) and cover the Syria chemical strikes (I think Assad was framed, in case you're wondering. It's actually very fucking annoying trying to write about this stuff because I was happy having no opinion on the matter, but if I was going to write Obama and Putin talking about it, I kind of have to review the evidence 😔). Mid-september is UNGA, and Sept 30th is when Obama reveals to Bibi the secret US meetings with Iran. These events should resolve the Putin-Obama tension and bring us to the next phase of the story (admittedly, I don't know where to go after that; I'm thinking shorter stories, vignettes of interactions)

Well, he's more spiritually focused. I think he says this because he already knows that he can have anything he wants, so why not go further than just focusing on manifesting material things. I believe he's also said before that he's manifested everything he's wanted, so now he wants to focus more on the spiritual aspects Neville used to speak about.

Either way, you should never feel bad for wanting material or consumerist things. If you desire it, then you can have it. There are no morals or permissions in imagination in regards to this. Plus, Neville always said that living in sin is living a life without the fulfillment of your desires. So you can and should manifest all the material things you desire. Don't worry!

Hey! I'd really like to learn more about the (recent) history of Israel and wanted to ask if there are any books you can recommend?

Hey I've thought about this ask quite a while and there's just so much stuff about Israel, what exactly do you qualify as "recently"? Like since 1948, since the 1967, since 1990s etc?

There's quite a lot of books and tbh, it also really depends on what you're interested in and if course, you should also read Palestinian stuff along with it. Personally, the Israeli writers/intellectuals I really enjoy are Yehuda Amichai (mostly poetry but really political), Yoram Kaniuk (his book "1948" is, I think, the closest to the true story of the founding of the state from the Israeli POV that you're going to find, even if many people won't admit it, also his book about the Exodus is really really good) and Yeshayahu Leibowitz (who has some really interesting thoughts especially about the relationship between state and religion, which is a super complex issue in Israel). I also remember enjoying Rabbi Sachs' book about the future of the state of Israel and a lot of people say he's very approachable even if you know very little about this whole issue.

From the Palestinian side, of course reading Mahmoud Darwish is just as important as reading Yehuda Amichai is for Israel, Edward Said is also considered important enough that you have to read him even though I honestly am kinda ambivalent about him. There's also currently a lot of debate at least in Germany about the book "A minor detail" (which deals with "the other side" of Kaniuk's 1948) and while I felt like that book left a lot of things out (like the fact that all of the Israeli soldiers involved in the main action of the book faced criminal charges and the whole thing was not just treated as a minor detail but rather a big scandal in the Israeli army) it is an important part of the story.

If you want more recent history, I've read both Pfeiffer's biography of Bibi (which was HILARIOUS because that guy very obviously hated Bibi and was using the weirdest opportunities to be petty about him) as well as Bibi's autobiography and I feel like there is no understanding current Israel without understanding Bibi and while I absolutely have zero love for the guy as a person or a politician, he is also very much a product of his circumstances.

Also this isn't a book but my boyfriend is currently obsessed with a YouTube channel called "The Ask Project" where people can send in questions and he asks Palestinians or Israelis that, and I think a lot of the questions are good and he really makes an effort to be fair.
