You have been waiting for your boyfriend, Yuta, to get home from the studio. As many times as Yuta has told you not to wait up for him, it doesn't feel right going to bed without him anymore. Most nights you are successful with staying awake till he gets home, but tonight was a little different. You’ve been texting him all day about the things that have been happening at your work, to which he has been very supportive in listening to your rants. You always feel bad complaining about your job, knowing how intense it is, but he makes it known that he wants to hear about everything and anything that you have to tell him. Throughout the day, he has been calling and texting you as much as he possibly can, even offering to leave the studio early, but you know how important his job is to him, so you told him to stay and that you would see him at home. Feeling defeated from the stress of the day, you find it harder and harder to stay awake. When Yuta walks through the door, he hears the tv playing an anime that the two of you have watched together. Confused as to why you would be watching it again, he sets his bag down and takes his shoes off before entering the living room. As soon as he sees you curled up on the couch in one of his sweatshirts, holding the plushie that he bought you in Japan, his heart begins to flutter. He swears that there is nothing more precious in the world than you, and seeing you curled up like this confirms that for him. Quietly walking over, he sits in front of you, and simply admires your beauty for a moment, before he pushes a loose strand of hair behind your ear. His gentle touch just barely wakes you up, you finally open your eyes, and see him looking at you with pure admiration.

“Hi my love.” He says in his usual calm voice.

“Yuta? When did you get home?”

“Just now, why don't we go to bed? I think you’ll be much more comfortable there.”

Before you can answer, he has you in his arms, bridal style, as he effortlessly carries you to your shared bed. Gently placing you down, he leaves you with a kiss on your forehead, and goes to get himself cleaned up after a hard day of dancing and recording. When he returns, you immediately open your arms to him, and he gives you a sweet smile. He knows that his presence is one of the best ways to cheer you up, and he loves it. He loves that something as simple as him just being there can keep you so happy, because it's the same for him. Holding you calms him down, and being held by him calms you down. Crawling into bed, he pulls you as close to him as he possibly can. As he gently runs his fingers through your hair, he's humming one of your favorite songs. Drifting off to sleep again, you nuzzle your head into his chest, taking in his warmth.

“Yuta?”

“Yes my love?”

“I love you.”

“I love you too baby.”
