KHSFYITESFJKHKSD ok i DO understand the point being made and how the immutability of comics canon events seems to depend largely on how much a reader liked a given plot more than anything else, but Jason is like the WORST example you could use. Yes! The fans did literally kill him it was put to PUBLIC VOTE! Writing always involves the creation of conflict but Jim Starlin did NOT make that call unilaterally the crowbar IS in the reader's hand (or at least the voter's). Especially as modern comics increasingly lean on the 4th wall and include metatext as a plot point, YES there is ABSOLUTELY a reading where the writer and audience are as much "characters" as the city of Gotham itself even if we never show on-panel.

Your entire party is a band of humans-turned-Pokemon who were GOING to end up in each's PMD-esque situation, but something happened during the whole "shunting you into another reality" bit and now there's a gang of weird animals who can at least understand the common language (prolly at the DM's discretion of whether they'd speak it too) of a standard TTRPG world

I love it when artist draw Older Luffy™️ as huge tall figure that got his height from his father Dragon and grandfather Garp.

However if we’re following that logic I’d love to supply the mental image of sanji also being extremely tall as terrible father Vinsmoke Judge is also extremely tall.

Now imagine the monster trio of very tall Luffy, even taller Sanji, and short king of hell Zoro.

It’s giving absurdly tall Roger and short in comparison but still tall for our standard Rayleigh.

do you ever think about how NONE of the gangsey really had friends before they met each other besides henry? the only people we know gansey interacted with before meeting adam and ronan are people like mallory, who i wouldn't really count as super close friends. we know blue was the odd girl at school. that the only people adam seems to really interact with are gansey, ronan, and noah at the start of the raven boys. we know ronan was close with his brothers, but never mentions any close friends growing up. even noah is only really described as having one close friend (whelk) in high school, and we all know how that one ended up.

i think a lot about how messy the friendships are in that group, but it wasn't until today that i realized that part of the reason might be because none of them have really had friends before. it makes sense that henry, the ONE person who actually seems to have friends besides the gangsey, is also the one who is the most upfront with getting friends, and the one who seems to be really good at picking up his new friends' strengths. he's already been there before, so he knows how to interact within groups like that. everyone else is still figuring out that dynamic all throughout the series.

#it also explains why adam has so much trouble opening up to his new friends at harvard in the dreamer trilogy #his one standard is the gangsey #and more specifically gansey #he tries mimicking gansey's method of gathering people down on their luck because that's the ONLY thing he knows #but gansey is also not the best at opening up to people #so adam never once really thinks about how to do that #especially when everything that happened in henrietta within the gangsey was generally group knowledge since its a small town #its hard to hide things there #you can even make an argument for ronan struggling so much in the trilogy because he's never had long distance friendships before #he's still trying to figure it out #but failing miserably at it #the gangsey #trc #the raven cycle #gansey iii #richard campbell gansey iii #adam parrish #ronan lynch #blue sargent #noah czerny #henry cheng

Ulysses obsession with the Courier is a special type of sad to me cause the Courier’s part was so important but so unwitting. They had no idea what was in the package they delivered and neither did he. Neither had an idea of what it could’ve done and the Courier was only caring out their job (mind you the Courier could be killed via notes in the express contract if they don’t). To them it was just another regular delivery to the divide and one that they likely thought would help, just like all the ones before.

It’s so tragic for Ulysses to hold so much ire to the Courier when it really was the case of it could’ve been anyone. Anyone could have delivered that package but they did and so he focused the blame on them and it destroys what he is trying to instill in the courier on a fundamental level.

#like yeah the courier delivered the package but in the end that’s a job #any random courier could’ve delivered it especially since we know in the past the factions were farther apart and this travel was a smidge #safer but courier six got it and this Ulysses blamed them #like I don’t care much for Ulysses because I think lonesome road embodies don’t shoot the messenger at it core #and what people focus on doesn’t focus on the fact that in the bigger picture #everything went wrong because two factions were at war and at some point the codes would have been delivered #and the divide destroyed cause with how close it is to NCR territory it would of been found #like there is an inevitable and too many people treat Ulysses as if he knows more or is more aware of the idiosyncrasies of conflict #when he’s like fundamentally flawed just at the standard of being a legion apologist STILL and just how focused he is on one persons #involvement cause yeah choices matter even the small one but I think Veronica’s quest says it best with a line from the courier #you can’t control what they do #like the courier couldn’t and can’t control what they deliver and yet it’s got them in hot water multiple times #like do you think they enjoy being shot or knowing they are indirectly responsible for activating the annihilation of a community #to me it’s hypocrisy to be willing to end the world or one world to prove a point and whatever argument made that only military factions #suffer forget there are innocent civilians suffering that had no part and Ulysses is no better than the Courier #I don’t like devils advocate and a lot of the dlc just feels like that but idk I know people love it but the depth is just not there for mr #ulysses fnv #fallout #fallout new vegas #courier six #the courier #lonesome road #the courier has very little personality outside what we give them but some lines and delivery paint a picture #like uhhhh undertale deltarune rules ig

You ever get lulled into a false sense of security during the first two thirds of a kid's movie that's good with a serious plot but mostly a pretty fun time, only to have the entire final third tear your heart out, chew it up and spit it out, crush it into even finer paste beneath its heel, and add the fine powder your ribs have been turned into by the sledgehammer it whammed you with as a seasoning?

You can change your pledge amount and tier at any time during the campaign. If you’re waiting to see how much you can give but you can back a little now, do it! Small amounts help and backer number is important too. The momentum in the first few days is crucial!

Only back what you can afford. As we saw in the stream yesterday, it sucks for them to lose big pledges

Likewise, when they start setting mini goals and doing incentives, don’t raise your pledge just to go back down afterwards! Only increase if you plan to actually give that amount

(mgv) oh i've got one for you guys. wilson having a Very Bad Day and coming home like a single disappointed look away from bursting into tears. house lets him mope for ten minutes before he leaves him alone in the living room with a grumble. after a while he comes back out, sees wilson with his head in his hands, and bonks him with the handle of his cane to get his attention. "c'mere," is all he says before he starts leading wilson to the bedroom. wilson tries to complain that he wants to be left alone but house just keeps Staring Expectantly at him so he relents.

the sight of a new nest makes him stand there and blink (how tf did he put it together so fast) but house nudges him, almost shoving him into it. usually when alphas are in nests, it's in the company of an omega, and they never ever are in them before the omega who makes them are -- if anything, the omega has to be in it and receptive to the alpha before the alpha is even allowed in it -- even among bonded couples. so when faced with a nest barren of body, wilson instinctively is like "uh?? UH??"

but house just steamrolls over his stuttering and puts his weight on wilson's back so wilson has to work harder to resist touching it as all the warning bells are going off in his hindbrain. and house just leers right in his ear, "you know you wanna. i made it just for you."

it's then that wilson starts tearing up for real. house has complained about how intensive the process of nest building can be, how it aggravates his leg, what a generally disruptive urge it is, but..... but he still weaved one just to bring wilson some comfort. he even holds back from making any jokes when wilson's whine takes on a wheezy note due to the tears.
