Or is there a sequel you are eagerly awaiting to get to? ☁️ ⚠️ Trigger Warning⚠️ Death (parent & child), self harm, sexual assault, addiction, abuse, torture. This book is going to stay with me for a long time. The ONLY thing that sucks about this is that I have to wait for the trilogy to be completed. But y’all… this book. Ugh Jaren, Mor, Naari, Tipp, Grendal, such great amazing characters. The twists, the turns!!!!! One of them I knew about but the rest!? 😭😭😭 Definitely one of my new favorites. The more we find out about Kiva's past too. *cries* I really did cry to a few different parts in this book. I swear it does not take much for me to cry anymore. Lol. I really don’t want to spoil to much but this was easy to dive in. It captured me from the beginning and I’m so happy to have picked this up. - In the beginning we get a preview of Kiva's life. The day before everything went wrong. She was with her father and brother and then, they came. Fast forward 10 years later and here she is, The Prison's Healer. Everyone knows her and her role, which is why the Rebels do not confide in her. Meanwhile, there was a new load of prisoners coming in. Only one survived. Jaren. Jaren is different than the others. . Ever since he came into the picture, her life has been different. She's befriended a Guard, Mot is helping her, Tipp, well Tipp is being his usual self. Then comes Tilda. She is the Rebel Queen. Someone Kiva has to keep alive if not everyone she cares for is at stake. No one has been able to survive all four trials of wind, fire, water, and earth. It was a whole ordeal this morning because the lady checking me in wanted to argue with me that I didn’t have an appointment so we check in with a service provider that was like, “Yeah she is correct I have her paperwork here.” I felt validated. 💜 #lastnownext 💜 QOTD: what was your last, now, next reads? 💜Last: By the Book by Amanda Sellet This is actually a DNF. 😭 I looked forward for this book so much but once I started … I.Was.So.Bored. I didn’t care for the characters, especially since the whole thing was due to miscommunication. It was a cool to see how she was accepted and how her friend group was different from her but I literally made it 1/3 through the book and could no longer read then I read spoilers and that nailed it in the coffin for me. 💜Now Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim OH MY GOD! This book is going so good so far. This definitely keeps you entertained! Actually by now, I’ve also finished it so… 🙌🏼 💜Next The Wedding Ringer by Kerry Rea So This is a more recent purchase and I’m exited to read it. Late one tonight but I’m nocturnal at this point 😂 @candice tagged me in the #unpopularbookishopinion challenge and I can’t wait to give it a try! Friends-to-lovers: there’s usually to much ‘touchy feely’ emotions which makes me cringe so much - I really hate nice feelings like I need some mean, ‘I hate you’ romance 😂 • 📜𝑨 𝑪𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒄 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏'𝒕 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆? I haven’t really read many classics since school but I have to say I didn’t really rock with The Great Gatsby (that’s a classic right??). I just found everyone super annoying and I wanted to punch Daisy in the face 🙊 • 📚𝑨 𝒑𝒐𝒑𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒓 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏'𝒕 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆? I’m not really sure tbh!
