“The thing about books was, the more you read and liked them, the more you wanted to have on hand to read. Before you knew it you needed more bookshelves, and then all of the sudden they filled your house.”

I think I am kinda in the middle. Some stories benefit from romance and others just don’t need it to enhance the plot.
How about you, what do you think?

The regent really tried to use Damen against Laurent, and on paper it’s a great idea, he’s Auguste killer, Laurent hate him… but then Damen turned out to be the only thing he can’t control, can’t use against Laurent because he has free will (well some he was a slave after all lol), he can’t control what he does, what he think nor their feelings you know? And I just love that the thing he thought would give him the throne, would make Laurent downfall turned out to be the thing that gave Laurent everything, and turns out to be the regent own downfall. Anyway just thoughts lol
(If this even make sense anyway)
