Just writing Jesper and Wylan's alternative universe first meeting (for about the 3rd fic in a row. As is my right.) and I realised why I love their meeting in the books so much. You get to see the same scene from both POVs and see what the other person saw. In detail. You get to imagine all the sly looks and tension that is there hidden between the lines of what we are actually told was happening. Why else would they both be thinking the same thing?

I am not sure if Leigh Bardugo did that with the other Crow ships but if she did it doesn't stick out in my memory quite so much. If it's there someone remind me.

You have Wylan's real life POV of Jesper:

Colourful, super hot guy enters the tannery, oozing joy and who speaks to him a bit dismissively, subtly asking if he is new in town, offering to squire him around the place even though he acts like it is the most horrible imposition in the world.

...but in Wylan's head...

This man might murder me.

But forget that, OMG HE HAS THE MOST PERFECTLY SHAPED LIPS I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!

From an artistic point of view of course. Nothing else. Nothing to see here.

The Crown 2x04 – Margaret Shoots Down Her Fiancé

Princess Margaret and socialite Billy Wallace were once unofficially engaged for a few months, as was confirmed during an interview with Australian Women’s Weekly.

The real Margaret did indeed dump Billy – hopefully with a speech as scathing as the one in The Crown – after he confessed to his ‘meaningless fling’ with another woman.

The Crown’s version of events may give the Princess even more justice. In the show, Billy ends up shot in the leg after a drunken duel with Margaret’s friend Colin Tennant. Arrogant Billy then continues to boast about his conquests, and being a catch for “every good-looking girl on Earth” due to his royal connections.

There's no proof of a duel in real life, although it fires up the drama. However, the real Margaret was said to be furious with Billy, finding other ways to get revenge. Reportedly, she cut her ex-fiancé out of her royal circle and didn't speak to him for at least three years.

In time, the Princess went so far as to use Billy’s London home to hide her clandestine (and passionate) encounters with new love, Tony Armstrong-Jones, whom she later married. Well aimed, Margaret!

Your favourite Entrapdak CANON moment?

I think I have to go with the scene in Season 3 "Moment of truth" when Entrapta and Hordak talked about the portal and they just have to keep it open long enough to get a signal through to reach Prime.

Entrapta sadly: “And then you’ll have to go with them.”

Entrapta brightens up “But there’s still so much data we could collect. What’s the rush? We’ll just keep working on it until it’s perfect.”

This is definitely one of my favourite scenes since both of them choose each other over their normal convictions.

Entrapta who doesn't believe in perfection and rather run scientific experiments on trial and error ,even if everything keeps blowing up that way, suggests to work on the portal until it's "perfect"!

In other words she says "How about we set an unattainable scientific goal - the non existing and perfect theoretical way to make the portal work, but of course without focusing too much on achieving it practically while we just keep being together."

And let's talk about Hordak!!! He absolutely was aware of what she meant by using the phrase "until it's perfect" He started to genuinely smile at her because he agreed!! Over the last 30 years he only focused on returning to Prime but in this moment he realised that he doesn't want to return anymore and he was about to choose Entrapta over Prime. He was definitely about to say sth like: "How about we blow that thing up and rebuild it more considered (intends to use unisolated cables again)...

Ahh and then Catra rushed in! And a few minutes later Entrapta found herself unconsciously on the way to beast I island. I'll never get over this AHH

My second favourite scene is this one... I don't think I have to explain. This one just makes me scream!!!💜

Ooo great question. Some of my favourite are Robin's coming out scene. Steve fighting the demodogs. Jonathan and Nancy comparing scars. The hospital scene where the party hugs Will. Steve cheering for Lucas' game. Will bring sassy and asking Jonathan if that's why he has no friends. Pass the wine, that's olive oil. Steddie walking through the forest. Robin and Nancy running away. The shopping montage of Max and El. "How was the pull out." Hopper with a sword. Bob being a good father figure to Will in the car. Hopper being a good father figure to Jonathan at the station. Steve doing a mom pose at any opportunity.

Those are just some of them off the top of my head. If you want reasons for why any specific scene I really like let me know.

This is one of my favourite scenes, when the CEO brags about recruiting Gong Tae-seong but it's just a string of failures. First he hands him the card, and the camera pans to the huge stack of cards

and then he's all, "You don't have to be smart to be a celebrity"

Then he's like, "Money?"

Dude lives in a mansion:

The best part is, we find out later that he didn't even recruit Tae-seong in the end, he just bugged him enough that when Tae-seong wanted to become an actor he went to the CEO first.

(Also, Tae-seong in high school! Is it weird that he's following a high school student around everywhere? Or that the CEO was even at a high school in the first place?)

Arcane favourite scenes - Silco

This scene on the bridge is one of my favourites. 

Silco completely acts out of himself, he is no longer the cool and discerning leader, but a man who worries and fears for his daughter. He holds her like she is his treasure, the only one person in the world to him. And of course, he feels guilty because he feels responsible for her stealing the gemstone...

The animation, the FEELS and the music of this scene is just EPIC.

Then fear and worry turnes into determination and the certainty that only he can protect her, and he will keep her safe.

The he holds her body gently, turns fiercly towards the enforcers and facing the cruel reality, calmly walks away with her.

At least that is my understanding.

Oh, and also after this EPIC scene, his calm way of walking changes and the starts sprinting to the Doc to save her life :)

The Crown 1x08 – It's a Real Royal Knockout

One of the most human and relatable storylines in The Crown was based on an actual royal showdown between the real Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

The royal couple's argy-bargy was said to have occurred during their Australian tour in 1954, as reported by The Crown’s historian Robert Lacey.

Their row was allegedly caught on camera. According to author Ingrid Seward, a TV crew were secretly filming the chalet where the Queen and her husband were staying.

As shown in the episode, any footage of their argument is unlikely to exist. The film clip was handed over to the Queen, for which she thanked the crew personally.

Hi anon, thank you so much for sending this awesome ask! It was really cool to revisit my fave fics searching for the scenes that took my breath away. I decided to include some quotes too, hopefully they won’t give too much away:

1. The Boy Who Only Lived Twice by Lettered: there’s this scene where Harry and his handler Rabbit are on a mission waiting for a couple to finish having sex, and they pass time playfully imagining what they’re saying. I love this scene because it only makes sense if you have the full context, and it’s a rare moment where Rabbit opens up a little bit. The dialogue is so cleverly done I don’t even have to worry about spoiling anything with this quote:

’I want to kiss your lips, Marietta,’ said Rabbit, finally. ’I want to taste your mouth. I want to lick your throat, Marietta, and find your pulse; I want to hold my mouth there until our hearts beat as one. You asked for this, Marietta, because this was the way I used to give it to you, when I was your husband. Remember we were lovers? Even then, you hated me; you thought I killed your father, Marietta, my love. And yet, when I’m with you . . . I find myself. You are the best of me, my love. You always have been.’

2. Far From the Tree by aideomai: that would be what I call (in mind) “the jersey scene” from chapter 13, in which Draco and the twins are hidden and listening to a conversation between Harry and Ginny. Here’s a quote:

“She should push, Draco thought. She should tell him to stop being a hero and just tell her what was going on, already. Harry’s face was so lonely and lost, something very young about it. He needed to be bossed into spilling his secrets and then put into bed, kissed to sleep, until that straight, worried line of his mouth soothed itself out into something smiling and hot and pleased. But Ginny didn’t do any of that. She tipped her bottle back and took the rest of the beer in a long pull, and then she patted Harry’s shoulder again and stood up.”

3. Little Compton Street by @writcraft: can’t be anything other than the best first kiss scene ever! I still daydream about this scene, it’s so cinematic. Here’s a quote:

“Standing in a darkened corridor with the first strains of music curling around them, the word that springs to Draco’s mind is privilege. There’s something so impossible about Harry at times—something so unreachable, a strength and goodness that can’t be touched—here he’s as open as he’s ever been. It’s a privilege to stand close enough to touch, to be close enough to kiss. Harry’s eyes are warm and searching, his lips upturned in a smile that makes it look as though Draco has caught him off-guard. Perhaps they’ve both been caught unawares, by the unexpected, desperate force of attraction that has crackled and sparked between them from the moment Harry walked into that little café on another rainy day in London.”
