I know we joke about jjk causing depression and discussing all the awful stuff that's going on and how low it makes us like it's funny, but if it's causing you emotional or mental distress, put it down. Just don't look at jjk stuff for a week. Limit your social media time.
All stories and series have the ability to interrupt your life and daily activities as you fixate on them, or the story unravels in an unfortunate way. It can be difficult to put a story down when you're really into it, even if it's only out of morbid curiosity for how the story will continue, but I'm very serious when I say you shouldn't let it ruin your life.
If you're friends with someone that posts constantly about your favorite character dying or constant angst and you notice it's affecting your mental health, take a break. It's not funny. I'm getting really concerned and frustrated with the way people are joking about suicide and depression when they read heavy stories like this. Those are real, legitimate, dangerous issues that you shouldn't joke about, and if you're experiencing those thoughts because of jjk or a series you're engaging (whether it's the story itself or the people you talk to about it), please try to manage your exposure to it and reach out for support.

♡ gn!reader x nanami kento
Tumblr media
cw: hurt/ comfort, established relationships, suggestive themes, slightly toxic but i promise reader and nanamin are trying their darndest
synopsis: you’re both determined to make it work.
wc: 1400+
notes from mei!
hi guys i just wanna say thanku for the love on angel!!^^ i feel very appreciated LOLOL my works for the anime community have never really gotten that!! much recognition before, i am so very happy :,))) here is my thank you!! + the fact hurt/comfort is my fav genre and the fact there's so little fanfics of it makes me physically hurt
Tumblr media
it feels like you can’t breathe.
you stare at nanami, disbelief clouding your features. from your spot at the dinner table, you stare up at him, waiting for more context. when he doesn't, you sigh, elbow coming to rest on the table as your thumb massages your temple.
nanami stands by the window, watching the sleepless city bustle with arms crossed over his chest.
the silence between you both is suffocating.
it's always ends like this with him.
it's a push and pull game between you both—it's always been that way.
"we can't keep doing this, 'ken." you say, finally standing up. "i'm tired of coming back, again and again, thinking that maybe this time, it will be different—that you will be different."
he looks at you incredulously, "this isn't only my fault," he says, "you're at fault too."
"you don't think i know that?" you say, voice even. "do you know how hard it is to be with someone who cherishes you one day, and then treats you like shit the next?"
he makes eye contact as you continue. "you know i'm trying, you know how hard it is for me to communicate and verbalize how i feel—"
nanami rubs his face tiredly, "you always say that—that you're trying. but maybe you just need to put in more effort."
"no, 'ken," you reply, "i think you just want someone who is convenient," you're making your way to the door, "you want someone to fuck, to have a couple hours of fun with and that's it."
he watches you, lips pressed into a thin line. yes, he has issues, but he doesn't want you thinking that he thinks you're disposable.
"i don't doubt that you love me," you mutter, as if you were reading his mind. sliding your shoes on, "but you don't love me enough to want to try."
you grab your keys from the coat hook, "you can't."
Tumblr media
you think of nanami in intervals.
one minute, you're cleaning your apartment with a clear mind, then the next your head is foggy with memories of him.
some are happy—like when he had an assignment in okinawa, and made arrangements for you to come along, because he knew you always wanted to go.
or the time he stayed up all night with you, patience unwavering as you bared your heart.
but you find that most are paralyzing. you realize that the patience he had for you ran out.
when your situation with nanami began, you realized it began too perfect. he treated you like glass, like you were took good for the world. but somehow, in someway that you can't figure out—it blossomed into a situation when you both only got along after 9pm.
he began closing off, keeping you at an emotional arm's length at all times.
and whenever you wanted to try and relieve the weight on his shoulders, he'd shut you out.
and you'd reply by doing the same.
since then, you both have been running around in circles. it feels like a messed up game of tag. whenever one of you would stray too far, the other would come chasing.
you try to act like you don't know why it turned out like that, but truthfully you always knew.
deep down, you swore you wanted everything nanami had to give.
but amongst your delusions, through your fears of vulnerability, you subconsciously chose what was convenient for you. in turn, kento mirrored your actions.
you like to think you tried to fix nanami.
but you know that the only one who needs fixing is you.
you're so aware of it that it chokes you.
you're so aware of the fact you both would've made it, but you ruined it, villainizing him and victimizing yourself.
a quiet knock snaps you out of your thoughts. a call of your name.
you know you shouldn't open the door.
but you do it anyway.
"i didn't get the chance to put your things in a box." you mutter, avoiding his gaze. "there's too much."
he doesn't invite himself in, waiting for you. "i didn't come here for my things."
he continues, "i came here because we need to communicate what's going on with us."
"but i don't want to anymore." you whisper, "i'm so sick of making up, breaking up... blaming you for everything when it’s not you."
you're ashamed.
but you let him into your apartment anyway.
with your back turned to him, you bare your heart for real, because maybe this time, if you're wholeheartedly truthful, this nightmare disguised as a daydream will end.
you can't continue anymore. you're not sure why he always comes back to you. it's like he knows you'll continue playing tag with him, as long as he's the one that asks first.
"i can't fix myself like this," you mutter, "i'm always relying on you to fix me and it's ruined what we had."
"i’m using you to love myself and i hate that you’re letting it happen because you don’t deserve it,” your body shakes with guilt, tears streaming down your cheeks, “i’m ending it because we can’t build something off of a relationship like this.”
you’re pitiful.
“and i’m sorry ‘ken,” you sob, “i’m so sorry for putting you through this.”
“i do it because i want to.” is all he says, staying rooted in front of the door. “you see it as using me to love yourself, but i’ve always wanted you to see yourself in the way that i see you—i know that it’s not easy, and i know you have a hard time being vulnerable.
“i’ve realized that it’s easier for us to fight than to be completely vulnerable with each other. we can say sorry over and over again, but i want us to change,” he runs a hand over his face, “i want us to be like how we were in the beginning.”
“how?” you press, broken, anger beginning to boil in your veins. “how? loving each other only gets us so far; you shut me out, you left me to figure out a relationship on my own. do you see what we’ve become because of that?”
he nods, lips pressed into a thin line. he hates that you can’t look at him.
you want to hate him, but you can’t find it in yourself to.
and you know, wholeheartedly, it’s because nanami is a good person.
he’s patient with children even though he's not fond of them, and he'll always help old people cross the road. he gives his spare change to those who need it and always gives up his seat on the train no matter how tired he is.
you know that you both can find your way out of this shit show.
because you’re both good people, just not ones who are good at navigating a healthy relationship.
but nanami wants to try. he has a good feeling that you do too.
“i’m so sorry for neglecting us,” nanami walks toward you. he stands in front of you, eyes gentle and full of sorry's that he means. “and i’m sorry for taking so long to talk to you about this; you don’t deserve to be hurting all the time. i’ll try harder for you, for us, because it’s what you deserve. i haven’t shown it for awhile, but i can be someone deserving of you.”
“i don’t want you to walk around believing only i tolerate you and that i love you for certain things. i love you for everything good and for the things you think are bad.” he breathes shakily, “i regret taking so long to say it.”
your lips tremble. “are you not mad at me?”
he shakes his head, thumb reaching out to wipe your tears. “i can’t be mad at you because i’m at fault too. i know you’re trying, even though i said otherwise.”
“thank you,” you mumble, leaning into his touch, “for being so patient all the time.”
he smiles, soft and full of love. nanami presses a kiss on your forehead, "you deserve to be heard—that's all."
"i want to try again," you mumble, "i miss planning dates with you and like, feeling in love?" pursing your lips, you continue. "'cause it's not like i didn't enjoy our nights together," kento's grin widens, and you roll your eyes. "but i didn't feel like we were doing it out of love—like we were doing it to distract ourselves from the problems at hand."
he nods, taking in your words.
"i'm sorry." is all he can say. "i'll do better, so you won't feel like that again."
you smile, "i'll follow your lead."

Hi there!! I know it's late, but i want to thank you for writing nanami❤️. I want to read fluff nanami since the anime is going to be brutal to him and its scarce seeing fluff nanami x reader(too much smut). Im soo satisfied reading your nanami for flufftober soo much(i request it, btw). If you dont mind spilling, do you have any fics from flufftober you really enjoy writing and satisfied with it?
Omg omg I can't believe I'm only just seeing this now, I am so sorry anonie! Thank you so much for taking the time to send this, it always makes me so happy to hear from readers and see what they thought of their requests! I have absolutely nothing against smut or anyone who writes it just to be clear, but for me my specialty has always been fluff and it's always been my favorite genre to read too, so I'm glad I could give you some of the fluff you were looking for as well! :D
(JJK manga spoilers ahead so I'm putting this under the cut, also tagging this post as spoilers just in case!)
I know what you mean, for weeks now I've been dreading each episode of the anime and wondering when we're gonna lose Nanami :'( So I really hope that this piece brought you something to smile about in light of what's coming in the anime, I'm so so happy to hear you enjoyed it!
As I'm sure you can tell, I fell way behind on Flufftober as I got swamped with schoolwork, but I am working on completing it now! As for my favorite fics I've written so far for Flufftober, I enjoyed writing them all but I especially loved the ones I wrote for Nanami, Gojo, and the one I wrote for V from Mystic Messenger! I was really happy with how all three of those came out, and I'd definitely say they've been my favorites so far :D

OPEN / CLOSED
Hi everyone! I've hit another massive milestone (thank you to everyone who has followed me and enjoys my writing)! I have zero creativity or energy for things to do other than collabs so here we are. I know my hybrid stuff is super popular and they are a big thing on Tumblr that people enjoy reading and writing; hence why I thought this would be a fun collab idea! You can literally write whatever you want as long as one or more characters are hybrids! As always it's 18+ only but fluff, smut, DC, etc. are all welcome! I am co-hosting this collab with my besties @toyomitsus & @twicesangel so send one of us a DM or an ask if you're interested in joining hehe 🐮
Tumblr media
How This Collab Works
As I've already mentioned, and you can probably guess by the title, this is a hybrid collab! Hybrids are a necessity in the fic. Just let me know which character(s) you'll be writing for and what kind of hybrid you'd like to write and I'll add you to the masterlist. Once again: HYBRIDS MUST BE INCLUDED. It can be the character or the reader or both, I really don't mind! Just be sure to let me know your ideas :)
Tumblr media
Rules
I’ve got a list of rules right here so read through them thoroughly before entering.
Minors do not interact. It’s not hard, please understand this is non negotiable.
When you post your work, please tag me or DM it to me so that I can see it’s up and link it in the masterlist.
^ following on from this, please link this masterlist post in your completed piece.
All characters must be aged up.
If there’s anything you aren’t clear on, please don’t hesitate to message me with any questions you might have!
This collab is open to all anime fandoms ❤️‍🔥 I’m also allowing infinites of characters so if your character is gone, don't worry! You can still write for them. I'm sure everyone's stories will be unique so I'm not opposed to duplicate characters.
There is no due date for this collab! I just want this to be fun, relaxing, and something you can take part in whenever you're ready. There are so many collabs running all of the time and it can get overwhelming when you want to join every single one but worry about when they are due. That isn't a problem with this collab! Take your time and go at your own pace. I can't wait to see what you all come up with 💗

"Sensei said girls love swans." | Okkotsu Yuuta x fem!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
♡ ♡ ♡ description: Just a small box of chocolates, bought on a whim, gifted for no apparent reason. Or so you say.
♡ ♡ ♡ warnings: none, good bad advices from Gojo.
♡ ♡ ♡ notes: I'm working on three other stories with Nanami, Gojo and Toji but had to write something for best boy Yuuta. We're getting volume 0 animated! This was done at the speed of light so please forgive any errors.
♡ ♡ ♡ word count: 2.29 k
Valentine’s Day was quite a surprise this year. You didn’t expect the world to just revert back to old habits so soon, but then again you understood the craving for what was once considered normal. More than a year had passed since the Shibuya incident and with Gojo Satoru finally being released from his prison, things were slowly calming down.
Two major changes came as a result of the near annihilation of Tokyo, one was that now the world was aware of the existence of curses and two was the high number of people that had awoken cursed energy. What were once empty classrooms and training grounds of the Jujutsu Tokyo High School, were now filled with first year students ready to learn from the best. Although the older generation was composed of just a handful of students, they were really the top of the Jujutsu world.
All of your senpais were impressive in their own right so all of them had gathered quite a following of first years. The most popular, by far, was Fushiguro Megumi, the one that possessed the Ten Shadows Technique of the Zen’in clan. A lethal combination of looks, power and status, or so your classmates claimed.
On the opposite end of the spectrum was the third year Okkotsu Yuuta. He was a rare sight on campus and whenever he was present he didn’t interact much with any of the first years. The first time you’ve met him was during a group mission where he was there to supervise. The curse ended up being a special grade and if Yuuta hadn’t jumped in to help you, you’d all be dead. You still remember the bitterness of your classmates when he offered his feedback. Clearly he was right on all points but he didn’t honey glazed any of his words. That incident had caused a string of nasty rumours to spread and everyone in your class began to avoid him as much as possible. You guessed no one was in a hurry to offer him any gifts today.
As for yourself, you tagged along with some of the girls from your class as they chose the best chocolates for their favourite senpais. You didn’t have anyone you really wanted to gift them to, so you bought a small box purely for selfish reasons.
You headed back to campus and as you approached the training grounds you noticed that a small crowd of students were already gathered there. In the middle of them stood Megumi whose arms could barely hold the large number of gifts he had received. The deadpan expression on his face made it clear he wasn’t enjoying the attention.
“You girls better hurry, Megumi-kun looks like he has reached his limit.”
Turning around you were greeted by Gojo who was also carrying quite an impressive quantity of Valentine’s gifts.
“Sensei is really popular.”
“Please don’t sound so surprised.”
As your little conversation went on, your friends quickly abandoned you in order to join the crowd.
“Not gonna join them?” You shook your head as your hands tighten on the handle of your backpack where your box of chocolates was hiding.
“I didn’t buy any chocolates...I mean I did buy chocolates just not for...I should probably head to class.” Feeling too ashamed to admit your selfish purchase, you hurried down the path to the main entrance before Gojo could question you further.
Just as you were about to reach your destination you suddenly noticed a figure not too far from you. Yuuta was strolling along the same path and his expression was not a happy one. Your earlier guess must have been correct judging by his slumped shoulders. Now you never truly worried yourself with his well being, but it just felt so incredibly unfair that he was marginalized like this. At the end of the day, even if he wasn’t easy to talk to, he was a responsible senpai who wouldn’t hesitate to jump in to help others when needed. With that thought in mind, you quickened your pace and called out to him.
“Okkotsu-senpai! Okkotsu-senpai, please wait!”
He stopped in his track and turned to look at you with a surprised expression.
“Y/n-chan, are you okay?”
You nodded as you caught up with him, impressed that he even bothered to remember your name, and opened your backpack to retrieve the box of chocolates.
“For you senpai, Happy Valentine’s Day!” You gave him the most sincere smile you could muster and handed him the small box. Oh well, better for your cavities you suppose.
With a trembling hand he took the small gift and grinned from ear to ear. “Thank you! I’ll treasure it!” It was just a box of cheap chocolates, you thought, definitely not worth the excitement.
“Urm I’m happy you like them. Anyway, have a good day, see you around!” You practically dashed to your classroom, cheeks red from embarrassment. You didn’t know why you were so nervous or why that silly grin of his made you so flustered.
As you sat down at your desk, you wondered if you did the right thing. You didn’t want him to believe you had feelings for him and you also hoped he didn’t think you did it out of pity. You just thought it was the right thing to do at that time and it was just a small gesture, definitely not worth a second thought.
Or so you hoped until White Day arrived and you found quite a surprising gift on your desk that morning. A large bouquet of roses, there must have been over a hundred. No note though, as if the person that had left them just expected for you to know whom they were from.
You could hear the whispers of your classmates and you shifted uncomfortably. You weren’t really popular, no reasons for someone to give you such an impressive present, so of course rumours began to spread.
As you sat on a bench during lunch break with the bouquet in your lap, you raked up your brain trying to figure out who would offer you flowers.
“Oh no, you don’t like them!”
Yuuta’s voice brought you back to reality and you blinked ever so slowly as you looked at his worried expression. Your eyes dropped to the red roses in your lap and then back to your senpai that was just a few feet away from the bench you were sitting.
“These...these are from you?” Well you did gift him that box of chocolates and this was White Day, technically he was supposed to return the gift. Still, a cheap box of bonbons couldn’t compare to the expensive bouquet that he had gifted back.
“Gojo-sensei said you’re supposed to buy something impressive in order to show your appreciation for the gift you received. I didn’t know what you liked and he suggested roses, he said all girls loved red roses.”
Of course it was Gojo Satoru, it was always Gojo Satoru.
“Senpai, thank you, but this is too much! Those chocolates weren’t really that expensive.”
“No, no, they were pretty good! I ended up eating the whole box! Gojo-sensei tried to steal one away, that didn’t end up well for him.” Good, you thought, he deserved it for unnecessarily complicating things.
“Well if you say so, then I’m happy. I’ve never received flowers before, well my father bought me a bouquet when I graduated middle school but I don’t think that counts.”
“I’ve never received chocolates before, so I guess we’re both at the beginning.” The beginning of what, you wondered, as he offered you a somewhat sly smile.
“I should get these to my room before they wither.”
“Yeah I should probably head to the training ground.” You said your respective farewells before going in opposite directions. This had been awkward to say the least and you were glad it was over.
However, naivety got the best of you. The next morning you were greeted by a large teddy bear that was placed in your seat. Your eyebrow began to twitch as you heard whispers spreading in the classroom.
“Hey is that from Okkotsu? Super creepy!”
“Yeah, poor Y/n-chan.”
“What do you mean by that?” Your patience had reached its limit and with narrowed eyes you turned to look at the girls you heard whispering.
“Don’t you know, Okkotsu curses his lovers!”
“Yeah, he becomes obsessed with them and then they die in mysterious ways!”
“That is literally the most idiotic thing I’ve heard in my life.” Sure, you knew the story of Rika, but from actual reliable sources you also knew that it was a tragic accident that happened when Yuuta was only a child. It was disturbing how they twisted the story just because they were afraid of him.
“If you have this much time to waste on spreading such stupid rumours then I suggest you channel that energy in training. Otherwise you’ll be stuck at grade 4 until the end of days.” As a grade 2 sorcerer yourself, maybe you shouldn’t have looked down on them, but for some reason the way they were acting towards Yuuta was just infuriating and you found yourself becoming quite protective.
You never snapped at them like this before, if anything you were considered quite docile, so the whole class fell silent. You grabbed the giant teddy bear from your seat and stomped towards the door, nearly bumping into Gojo as the later stepped inside the room.
“Where you going Y/n-chan? Class is about the start.”
“I’m going to find Yuuta!” You huffed and walked out of the classroom, knowing full well that you will probably get punished for your actions.
“Y/n-chan is so determined! Everyone, you should have more determination as well!” That was the last thing you heard as Gojo closed the door behind you.
You began your search for Yuuta, trying to ignore the looks that the faculty members you came across were giving you. You must have looked quite ridiculous, carrying that large teddy bear around.
You finally found him near the armoury, and judging from his sweaty appearance you guessed he had just finished training.
“Senpai!”
He looked at you, almost in a panicked way and you quickened your pace so he couldn’t make a run for it.
“Y/n-chan, what-”
“Senpai, this has to stop.” You really didn’t want to tell him your real motives from that day but you also couldn’t let this chain of gifts continue.
“That box of chocolates wasn’t initially for you. I bought it for myself, I only gave it to you because senpai looked so upset. I’m sorry that you misunderstood, it’s not pity or anything, I just thought you deserved it.” You didn’t even stop to breath, you had to let it all out and explain before you lost your nerve. “I’m really happy you liked them but I don’t deserve all these presents in return.”
You looked at him and expected to see anger or disappointment, instead you were greeted with light laughter.
“You’re really cute! Maki-san said not to tease you too much because you’re such a good girl. I guess she didn’t realize how much of a good girl you actually are.” The way he said ‘good girl’ made your heart skip a beat. It sounded almost provocative.
Within a second, he had closed the distance between the two of you and his hand reached to stroke your cheek ever so gentle. Suddenly he was there and you became hyperaware of his powerful presence. You noticed the pretty colour of his eyes, how his hand was just a bit rough and how that small smirk of his made your knees weak and your cheeks burn. You gulped and he seemed to enjoy your reaction.
“I don’t mind that the box of chocolates wasn’t for me. I’m just glad it gave me the opportunity to talk to you.” At this point you felt so bad you hoped the earth beneath you would just crack open and swallow you whole.
“Anyway, you should probably head to class before Gojo-sensei gets upset. Let me get that for you.” He reached for the teddy bear in your arms but you gripped it and pulled back.
“I would like to keep this, it’s a special gift from senpai and I’ll treasure it.” Sure this all began because of a silly box of chocolates but you were also happy that you finally got to see a glimpse of him that not many people got the chance to see. Now that you had a taste of it, you wanted more.
“Well I wasn’t planning on taking it away, just wanted to help you carry it.”
“It’s fine, the whole school saw me already so I might as well parade with it back to class.”
He studied your face for a few moments before his expression turned serious.
“Y/n-chan, do you think we could go-”
“I’d love to go on a date!”
You beat him to it but you wanted to make sure he knew, even before asking, that you really wanted to get to know him better.
“I see, I’m really happy.” His hand reached for yours and gripped it gently. It never failed to surprise you how cool and confident he looked at times and then he did a one hundred eighty and turned into this awkward and adorable mess.
“I must admit this is the first time I’ve asked someone out. I’ll be sure to ask Gojo-sensei-”
“Oh no, please promise me to never ask Gojo-sensei for advice concerning girls.” He was probably laughing like a mad man while giving Yuuta such cringe worthy ideas for your gifts.
“Oh but sensei said girls love swans and-”
“Never!”

The phone ringing startles you as you’re sitting on your couch, a true crime documentary on the television as the soundtrack to your night of grading essays. There’s still half a stack of essays to slog through, and only one more glass of wine left in the bottle on your coffee table.
You glance at the screen of your phone, frowning at the name you see.
“What’s up, Nanami?” The phone rests against your shoulder as you scribble a barely-passing grade on the paper in your hand.
“You busy?”
Well, this isn’t going to end well.
“I’m almost out of wine and have twelve more essays to suffer through before I can call it a night.” Nanami chuckles at your predicament. “So, yeah, I guess you can say I’m a bit busy. Why?”
Nanami sighs and you can just see him rubbing his temple as he tries to work out a way to ask you something he knows you aren’t going to like.
“Spit it out, would ya?” you probe with a sigh.
“Satoru wants your help with a mission.”
Your frown immediately deepens. “I already told him that I’m not a sorcerer.”
A muffled series of thwumps and thuds force you to hold the phone away from your ear before a new voice chirps through the device.
“Technically, you only told me that you have asthma,” Gojo says brightly. “You didn’t say anything about not being a sorcerer.”
Your eyes narrow at nothing in particular. “Why doesn’t it surprise me that you’re the kind of guy who likes to point out technicalities?”
Gojo chuckles, the sound a warm caress through the phone. You’re fairly certain that’s mostly the wine reacting, but you aren’t taking any chances.
“Regardless, let me make it perfectly clear to you: I am not any kind of practicing, jujutsu sorcerer,” you say slowly, clearly. “I received enough training to keep my energy in check and help out where I can as a Window since I work at a school and know what to look for. Now, if you’d be so kind as to return my cousin’s phone, I’d like to tell him to make himself available for you since he is sorcerer.”
A soft grunt sounds as you listen to the phone getting passed back to Nanami. “I’m sorry, Kaya. I tried explaining—where the fuck are you going? Satoru!”
As he shouts Gojo’s name, a polite knock sounds at your door. You leap to your feet, your heart thundering in your chest.
“Kaya? Kaya, are you there?” Nanami’s voice sounds tired. “Do not open that door. You give this guy a fucking inch and he takes a mile.”
“Are you telling me that the random-ass person knocking on my door right now is Gojo?” you ask tersely. “Because I’m pretty fucking sure I live a solid distance away from your school.”
Nanami sighs and mutters a series of graphic swears as the person at the door begins to knock on the door to the beat of “Mary had a Little Lamb.”
“I can’t tell you if he’s being so stubborn because he genuinely needs your technique, or if he’s only thinking with his cock, but you do not have to answer that door.” You snort, not buying for a second that Gojo has any intention of giving up so quickly.
“I’m never having dinner with you again,” you hiss into the phone before hanging up. As far as you’re concerned, this is all Nanami’s fault for allowing Gojo to crash their weekly dinner. You toss the phone on your couch before stomping towards the door and yanking it open to reveal a casually-dressed Gojo leaning against the jamb with a grin.
“What the fuck do you want?” you ask with thinly-veiled hostility. Gojo ignores the venom and grins wider.
“I have to say,” he remarks, “I think you’ve got the most beautiful eyes when you’re irritated.”
You haven’t wanted to throttle someone in so long, you forgot what it felt like to have your blood boil.
“What do you want?” you ask again, this time through gritted teeth.
“Your help.” Gojo tilts his head innocently as he looks at you. “Pretty please?”
The bubbling frustration with this man isn’t something you need your neighbors witnessing, so you step aside and yank him through the door, surprised that he allowed you to grab hold of him at all, considering what you know of him.
You ignore his chuckle as you stomp back into your living room and pause your documentary, knowing you’ll likely have to restart the whole thing since you missed so much thanks to the asshat currently making himself comfortable on your couch. He stretches his arm along the back of the sofa, tilting his head back to look at you.
“You’ve got a nice place for a teacher.” You stare at him. He did not just backhand compliment you. “Though, the sound proofing tiles are a little odd.”
“You’re an asshole,” you tell him with a glare. “And now that I am fully aware of the fact that you have highly selective hearing, let me say this one more time: I have absolutely no interested in joining your mission.”
“Because of your asthma, right?”
Dear fucking god, you want to punch him.
“And the fact that I’m not a fucking sorcerer. I have never and will never work as one.”
“Why not?” Gojo watches you as you sink onto a pillow on the floor at the coffee table. “Nanamin isn’t anywhere near my level and he still makes a solid living doing exorcisms.”
You look at him as you pick up your red pen. “If you had to quantify the actual size of your ego, how big would it be?”
The jab is ignored with a dismissive wave. “Your cursed technique, it’s based on sounds that you personally create, right?”
“I mean, it’s definitely bigger than your dick. There’s no way that thing is bigger than a handful of centimeters, considering the way you carry on every time I have the displeasure of seeing you.”
“But that can’t be it, because if that were the case, you would be wreaking havoc on the populace if you so much as farted.”
“I wonder what that server thought when you finally whipped it out, after doing everything she could think of to get your attention? Ha! I bet she was so disappointed.”
Gojo leans forward, his forearms resting on his knees as he grins at you. His aura is practically dancing around him; he’s loving every second of this.
“You really didn’t like her, did you?”
“I really didn’t care either way.” Half-truth, but who’s counting? “I just got tired of seeing her tits every time she came to check on us. That, and her aura was starting to make me motion sick with the undulating and buzzing.”
He raises a white brow. “You can see auras?”
“I heard them first. I’ve always been sensitive to sounds.” You frown at the introductory paragraph of the paper in your hand. Did you students even read the assignment? “I only started to see the auras after training with Nanami.”
“I’ve never heard of someone hearing an aura... what’s mine sound like?”
You look up at him, surprised to see that he’d taken off the sunglasses he’d been wearing to pin you with those eyes. Why is someone so far up their own ass this hot?
Setting down your pen, you take a breath to center yourself, allowing your own aura to reach out to his. You let your eyes guide the edges of your aura along the edges his, like a bow across a string. If Gojo feels anything, he doesn’t say; he just watches you with an intense expression.
At some point, you let your eyes meet his, and that’s when his aura begins singing to you.
“You sound like a cello’s mid-range, that sweet spot of notes on the G and D strings.”
“What does your sound like?”
The question throws you off. No one has ever asked about yours before. It’s not that you don’t know how your aura sounds, but rather, you aren’t sure how to explain what you hear.
“It sounds like me,” you reply plainly. “I sound like... just me.”
He regards you quietly before letting his cheek rest on his fist. His gaze softens as he looks at you, sending whatever traces of annoyance you feel towards him scattering into nothing.
“There have been reports of a cursed human loose in a residential area outside of Hidaka. Some sightings have it listed as a child, others say it's a few adults. But all the witnesses agree that whatever it is, it’s luring children from the area into the woods.”
“Is this the part where you tell me why Six Eyes needs me to find some cursed human in the woods?”
He shrugs. “I’m not good with kids.”
You snort. “You’re a teacher.”
“And you’ll notice that my students are well above the age of 6 years old.”
“So are mine.”
“Are you always this stubborn?”
“Pot, meet kettle.” You set down your pen and look at him seriously. “And before you throw my whole aura-sight at me, I’ll point out that you seemed to have no idea that I could see auras until a few minutes ago. So, tell me why you want my help on a mission you and your students are more than equipped to handle on your own?”
Gojo leans back against the couch once again and sighs. You let silence creep into the space between you. His aura isn’t singing anymore, but it isn’t agitated, so you haven’t totally pissed him off. Yet.
“I want you to lure the curses out and get them to bring the missing kids with them.” One of his hands slides through his hair. “At least, that was my initial idea. But, if you can see and hear auras, that might help us get the kids out before shit goes south with the curses.”
You frown. “That original plan assumes that I can control more than one curse at a time, which isn’t the most fool-proof, either. I’m not being modest when I say that I’m not a sorcerer, I’m being honest. Your dark-haired student’s aura is more powerful than mine, and he wasn’t even trying to let me see his aura.”
Gojo considers you quietly, his blue eyes shimmering in the artificial light of your apartment. You’re tempted to examine the shifting colors of his irises up close, until you remember that you know better than to let your body anywhere near a man that self-confident.
“I’d say you’re an upper Grade 3, just as you are now. Properly motivated, maybe a Grade 2. Still, that’s more than enough to draw out a few curses. I don’t need you to exorcise them, only get their attention and make them a bit more docile for the kids to take out.”
“You really aren’t going to let this one go, are you?” you ask him, sighing as you rest your chin on the heel of your palm. He flashes you a bright grin, sending an armada of butterflies up your stomach and into your throat.
“Nope.”
You lean back on your palms as you look at him. You have no interest in telling him that you’ve already decided to help since there are missing kids involved, so you let him watch you watch him. Because, maturity.
“And what do I get out of this? Other than a potential asthma attack?”
His grin slips into a smirk. “What do you want?”
You raise your brow, knowing full well what he’s insinuating. “I don’t touch sloppy seconds, thanks. I was thinking more along the lines of a few bottles of really nice wine, or maybe an expensive whisky. Or, if you’re feeling really guilty about triggering my asthma, never asking me to help with your job ever again.”
“Since I’m feeling generous, why don’t you decide after you’ve helped me out? You know, see how much effort you have to put in and get the most reward for your buck.”
You don’t trust that new sparkle in his eyes as you agree to his terms.
You only agree to meet Gojo and the others after school the next day because the sooner you’re done with this favor, the better. Then, you can get back to watching Netflix specials on serial killers and grading piss-poor essays on the Baroque movement in peace.
The grounds of the Tokyo Jujutsu High School are well kept, despite there being so few students enrolled. The spans of the campus practically begged to be bustling with chattering students, but all it gets is the occasional grumpy alumni and sporadic admissions.
It wouldn’t hurt to plant some flowers either.
“I told you she wasn’t going to show up with a flute or drum!” You glance over your shoulder and see Gojo leading the two boys from before and a new addition, a girl with down-turned eyes and a bored expression.
Gojo inclines his head towards you by way of greeting. “Kaya, you saw these two yesterday, Yuji and Megumi.” His thumb points out Pinky first, then the dark-haired kid whose temperament you like. “This is my other first-year, Nobara.”
You wave with a polite smile, your teacher’s smile. “Nice to meet you all.”
Nobara peers at you a little longer, her eyes sweeping up and down your outfit with analytical eyes. You couldn’t wait to hear what a sixteen year old has to say about your clothes. You chose to swap out your black jeans for a sturdy pair of athletic leggings to increase mobility, though you are acutely aware of how tight the pants are, especially around your ass.
You pick at an invisible lint on the sleeve of your jacket. Gojo is doing a marvelous job of surveying your… assets.
“I want you to design our new uniforms,” she declares boldly. You blink in surprise since that is definitely not what you were expecting. Not sure what’s so stunning about leggings and a rarely-used running shirt, even if it has Gojo eyeballing your butt with enough heat to send his aura in languid waves around him.
“Thanks, I think.” You slip on your leather jacket and look over at Gojo with an arched brow. “Are you finished gawking? I have classes to teach tomorrow, and there’s nothing worse than trying not to make a bunch of teenage girls cry when you’re too tired to tell them their god-awful piano composition sounds like something out of a third-rate anime.”
If they thought Nobara offers up some hot takes, they need to see you with less than six hours of sleep and a full day of classes on the horizon.
Gojo chuckles as he rubs his lower lip with the pad of his thumb. There is something unfairly sensual about the motion, and extremely predatory. Frowning slightly, you turn away and hand the kids the the earplugs you had stuffed in your pocket before you’d left the apartment.
“What’re these for?” Yuji asks, inspecting the bits of foam like you just handed him cocaine. .
“Maestro, here, uses a cursed technique rooted in sound.” You feel Gojo sling his arm around your shoulders. “Though, seems like she didn’t bring enough for me to get a pair, too.”
You shoot him a look. “You know precisely why I didn’t bother. Now, can we please get a move on?”
Wordlessly, the kids gather around and latch onto Gojo’s jacket, and you brace yourself for the gut-punch that comes along with teleporting. Nanami graciously informed you of Gojo’s aptitude for warping after a series of threats of bodily harm that exponentially increased in severity the more he dodged your questions. In that time, you realized that Gojo’s perpetual use of Limitless could stop your technique without a thought.
You’re in the midst of replaying a particularly entertaining memory of Nanami squealing like a pig after you started to make him juggle kitchen knives when you feel a strong hand press you against Gojo’s chest by the small of your back. Sputtering with utter indignation, you glare up at the grinning man, wishing with every fiber of your being that your knee could make contact with his balls at that moment.
“Ready, maestro?”
“Fuck off, Gojo.” Yuji snickers from behind him. Gojo watches you expectantly and your glare deepens. “I’m ready.”
“There’s a good girl.”
“Dude, keep that shit up and she’s going to find a way around your Limitless to kick your ass,” Megumi mutters from the right. “And Lord knows, the majority of us will sell tickets to that show.”
You don’t hear Gojo’s reply as you're lost in trying not to hurl all over the man as he yanks your body through space. The surrounding trees whisper and rustle in the evening breeze, the low glow of the sunset making the setting feel eerie. You hope the missing kids are okay, but you’re jaded enough to know better. Rolling your shoulders, you shake off the creeping shadows of memories you’ve worked hard to ignore on a daily basis.
“You’re up, Kaya.” Gojo nods at you as he removes his blindfold, his eyes more aquamarine in the dying light. “Think you can tag the auras for me?”
“Everyone got their earplugs in?” you ask the teenagers behind you. They all respond with solemn nods, their expressions resolute. You glance at Gojo, his eyes unseeing but all-seeing as he looks out into the forest around you.
“When I start singing, Six Eyes should pick up any auras my technique hits, like sonar.” It’s been over a year since you last sang, but you’d prepped your vocal cords most of the day with hot tea and a couple shots of bourbon before heading to the school. “I’ll also be willing whatever hears me to come to me as I sing.”
He looks at you with slight concern. “How long can you sustain that?”
You set square your shoulders and look back out into the darkness ahead. “As long as I need to. My priority will be the kids, you guys can deal with the cursed human.”
He nods as you take a deep breath to settle the flurry of nerves in your stomach. Why are you so nervous about singing in front of Gojo, of all people? His opinion has never mattered to you, since the moment he crashed your dinner. Who cares if he doesn’t like the song choice or if he thinks your voice is garbage?
“Unsteady” by X Ambassadors is a go-to warm up song for you. It sits right in your chest range, so it’s easy to project as you start walking slowly into the woods. Besides, you know how it feels to beg someone, anyone for help but end up ignored instead.
Gojo’s footfalls are nearly silent as he stalks behind you, but your voice makes his aura pulse against your own. It’s a comforting feeling, lending you more courage than you were feeling, that’s for sure.
A sharp rustling to your left makes you pause, the movement too harsh and erratic to dismiss as an animal. The icy blue of the aura halos around a tiny form, the fear tinkling like a shrill bell being shaken by a child. Gojo stiffens behind you, but you raise your palm before shooing him back.
Without faltering in the song, you crouch down in the direction of the stumbling child, pulling a small handbell from your other jacket pocket. A steady, calming beat in time with your singing pulses forward, coaxing the child out slowly as her aura shifts from pale blue to a saturated cobalt.
A little girl, no older than six or seven, flies into your arms, making your stumble in your singing. She’s coated in dirt and gods know what else, clutching your jacket so tight that her tiny knuckles turn white.
“You caught the culprit’s attention,” Gojo chuckles as you soothe the frightened child into letting go of your jacket. She clings to your leg when you stand, her snot and tears soaking into your leggings. You try not to cringe, but Gojo catches your obvious distaste and laughs, earning him a glare.
“There’s a cluster of black auras there,” you tell him quietly, gesturing further into the woods, to the east. “I can see them, but they’re silent.”
He hums as he nods, stroking his chin thoughtfully before he looks at you again. His eyes flick to the little girl, whose grip on your leg is starting to get painful, and it’s in that moment you realize two things.
First, that you get to tell Gojo, “I told you so.”
Second, in relation to the first, the tiny girl death-gripping your leg has an aura that is shrieking and melting into an opaque black.
Fuck.
Without a second thought, you send a surge of your cursed energy into your aura, ballooning it up rapidly. You swing the handbell down sharply, a clear, piercing note with the demand to be let go striking the tiny cursed human, tossing her away from you a good 30 yards.
A dull ringing pulses in your ears as you struggle to keep your balance. You shouldn’t have used that move so soon out of semi-retirement.
Arms scoop you up before you hit the ground. Muffled voices bicker as you barely hold onto your consciousness, but they fade away quickly as you’re overtaken with another bout of nausea that pulls you back towards consciousness. You try to move, but the arms hold you tighter against what you learn is Gojo’s chest.
“Easy, easy.” His breath warms your face as he calms you. “Shocked you’re not passed out yet.”
You don’t have the energy to remind him that he’s the pot and you’re the kettle when it comes to stubbornness. Based on the bits and pieces of the room you can see through still-blurred vision, he had warped you both back to your apartment.
He lays you down on your bed, checks your pulse, then slips out of the room long enough to get you a glass of water and a banana.
“I told you I wasn’t a sorcerer for a reason,” you mumble as you push yourself up slowly. The dizziness is gone, but exhaustion presses against your bones at this point. Gojo sits on the edge of the bed as he watches you sip at the water and peel the banana.
“Your stamina is shit, yeah. But you know what you’re doing.” You break apart the banana bite by bite. Like hell you’re going to eat an obviously phallic fruit in front of a man with the maturity level of a teenage boy. “I’d say with a bit of training, you could hold your own without passing out again.”
You shoot him a look that hopefully conveys how little interest you have in making that a reality. He only gives you a small smile before he stands.
“Better go check on the kids, make sure they didn’t completely fuck that simple exorcism.” He pauses at the bedroom door, lifting his blindfold just enough to look at you with one eye. “Thanks for your help, maestro. Think about what you want for compensation. I’ll be in touch.
He winks at you with that one azure eye before he just blinks out of sight. Your thoughts start replaying your time in his arms, a coveted location, you’re sure. He smelled like cedarwood and eucalyptus, but on the designer fragrance side of the spectrum, which surprises you considering how boring his attire generally is.
Sighing, you fish your phone out of the inner pocket of your jacket and swipe it open. No new messages, but a couple of missed calls from Nanami. You’re too tired to both giving him a lecture, so you just tell him he’s your personal chauffeur tomorrow until you can pick you bike up from the school.
And if you even THINK about sending Gojo in your place, consider yourself a eunuch the next time I see you, got it?
You don’t bother to see if he responds. Instead, you shed your clothes and crawl back under the covers, setting a few different alarms, just in case. Yawning, you curl onto your side and let your eyes drift closed, willing your brain to just shut the fuck up with the semi-intrusive thoughts. Falling asleep now would get you a solid 7.5 hours, more than enough for another round of compositional reviews.
I wonder what he thought of my singing…

I’m remembering that you like NDRV3 now, which assumably means you also like DR in general??? Hence what I like to refer to as- The Three Hopes AU! Because I don’t have a better name, and we were shafted when they didn’t let Kaede be a protagonist and get called a symbol of Hope (yes I’m still bitter). Also this gets kinda dark- Which is fair, I think, it’s DR- But it’s probably coming dangerously close to that Yandere Mariharem AU of yours.
So! Here, the casts of DR1, SDR2, and NDRV3 are combined in one Killing Game, turning them into a 48 person group and therefore upping the amount of killings in that timespan- Assumably, the NDRV3 group becomes another class that attends Hope’s Peak. Like in canon, however, everyone has their memories wiped, so they don’t actually remember being classmates or friends.
Since so many people are participating in the Killing Game, there are some modified rules and patterns- There are more trials (anywhere from 9 to 15, depending on how you’d like to play things), and the number of survivors would also escalate, though it still feels like very few in comparison to how many people started (again, anywhere from 9 to 15, probably- They’re solid numbers, I can’t help it).
Also as a result of so many people, three groups end up forming- Initially, they were formed before the Killing Game was announced, and each faction would be headed by one of the protagonists (Makoto, Hajime, and Kaede). There’d be sixteen people per group, just to keep it even, and different people from each class would be in different groups. I’m still torn on why the factions would form, though- Either they’re formed by the students themselves, just to keep track of everyone, and Monokuma just rolls with it, or maybe the Mastermind splits them up? Either way, it’s against the rules to attack people in your faction, because that just seems like something Monokuma would do to get more despair.
Here’s where it gets... Darker. See, I feel like the large groups, and the splits, when combined with the isolation and the motives and the fact that some of the people there aren’t exactly stable, would... Ah. Become a bit fanatical, when it comes to what they might come to see as a figurehead for their group. It isn’t an immediate things, to be clear- It’s brought about through a lot of stress and desperation and the need to cling to something, more than anything.
Which. Basically makes Kaede, Hajime, and Makoto the targets of a bunch of platonic and/or romantic yanderes, I suppose- Depending on what you ship, or just what you think is interesting. Whoops? Either way, Monokuma isn’t above using them for motives (IE- Someone kill someone else or your leaders will all die).
Moving on, though- Here’s what I have for the factions so far! I have reasons for each person, if you’re interested, though a lot of them I haven’t sorted yet.

... This got long. I am so, so sorry- Super interested in hearing your opinion, though, so I couldn’t help it. Thanks for responding, if you decide to!!!
This sounds like a really cool idea. We love the yanderes and dark here!
The first thing that kinda worries me is the large cast. This is 48 characters to develop and, with three protagonists, you’d be constantly be switching between point’s of view. Of course, protagonists don’t have to be the same as point of view characters, so you could switch the PoV each chapter? Just to give each character some screen time.
I’m curious about why factions exist rather than how they’re formed. It’s really weird that there are three separate leaders when everyone should be unified by the goal of escaping. Perhaps the mastermind chose them? Maybe only the group leaders can officially vote at trials; like, the group will decide who they want to vote for and the leader is supposed to choose what the majority wants?
(I think the game Zero Time Dilemma does something similar to this? Three groups that have a leader and the leader needs to choose to kill another team or not).
How long a would this killing game last? assuming there’s a trial every 5 days, that’s 45 to 75 days!
What’s the motive behind the killing game? is it the same as DR1, where someone just wants the world to witness Hope’s Peak suffer?
Team opinion time:
A bit curious who the mastermind is if Junko is on Makoto’s team.
I was a bit confused as to why you put Komaeda on Kaede’s team, but thinking about it, it makes sense. She is the only protag with a real talent after all, since Hajime doesn’t know his.
Put Byakuya on either Kaede or Hajime’s team--he’s the type to try and overthrow the leader, and those too would actually stand up against Togami (which would make for a great “falling into yandere” moment for him).
Assuming members choose their teams,  Fuyuhiko could go to Kaede’s team bc she looks kinda like his sister and that makes him want to protect her.
You could do a star crossed lovers thing, where two members of a canon-ish couple are on two different teams. This forces them to confront the feelings they have for their partner and their leader.
Mikan should be on Makoto’s team. He’s really nice and caring, which would bring out her obsessiveness quickly.
***************
Anyway, this sounds really cool! Tag me when you write it? ;)

do you drive and if so, have you ever crashed?:  i do drive! and nope i’ve never crashed. *knocks on wood*
what was the last book you read?: hmm a text book? not sure if that counts. before that probably manga. and before that idr since it was probably in high school ahaha

do you have any obsessions right now?: hmmm probably fics, BTS, and k-pop in general. slightly anime since i FINALLY have time to watch some again.
do you tend to hold grudges against people?: depends on what counts as a grudge. i remember if you’re racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. or if you’re mean to someone i love then i definitely won’t forget. i don’t really necessarily do anything mean based off of what i remember though.
in a relationship?:  nope! being in a relationship sounds nice though.

So here’s the rest of the backstories for Thanh’s team (under the cut because this got really long lol)
Like i mentioned before, Thanh got their Leafeon from one of their mothers as an Eevee and it was their very first pokemon. Just like the Eevee, Thanh was pretty young and so they would do stupid things like go into the thick forest near their home with just a level one Eevee. So one day while the two of them were playing in the forest (despite their parents telling them not to) and it’s getting close to night when Thanh and the little Eevee realize that they’re completely lost. Full of panic, the two of them try to run back the way they came but they only got even more lost so they stayed by a strange large mossy rock and just hoped that someone would come get them
In the middle of the night, the duo are met with a hungry and desperate Raticate who looked like it had just lost a fight with something bigger but still had enough fight left in it to try to have them for dinner. While Thanh was trembling in fear, their Eevee bravely jumped out of Thanh’s arms and fought the Raticate. By some miracle, Eevee caused the Raticate to flee and after the battle ended, she evolved into a Leafeon.
The pair was found relatively unharmed but exhausted the next morning, cuddling under the shadow of the large mossy rock.

After Nanami becomes an assistant to the region’s pokemon professor, Thanh travels with her out on expeditions because they really like exploring the world and it doesn’t hurt that they could spend this time around Nanami. On one of these expeditions, the pair go out into the desert, far from the closest city, to get data on the pokemon in the area. As the two of them are getting ready to set up camp, the ground below them beings to tremble and, off in the distance, they see a large dorsal fin swimming through the sand towards them. The two of them just barely manage to jump out of the way as a large Garchomp jumps out of the sand, jaw open wide ready to crush anything it grabs. Thanh’s Leafeon and Nanami’s Espeon, who were both out of their pokeballs, attacked the Garchomp but their attacks did little damage to it. Taking a big risk, Thanh sent out their often misbehaving Sharpedo in hopes that he’ll protect them. And at first the Sharpedo didn’t do shit, he just sat around and watched the Garchomp chase the others around. The only reason the Sharpedo even bothered to fight it was because the Garchomp attacked him first. Thankfully, Sharpedo managed to get the Garchomp distracted long enough for Thanh to be able to try and catch it and by some miracle they actually caught it.
Now Thanh had two unruly sharks to look after.

Traveling up into the freezing north in search for the next gym badge, Thanh got stuck in a blizzard so they were stuck hiding in a cave in the mountain side. Thankfully they had pack some things to help keep them and their pokemon warm even if it was just a little bit. Cuddling beside their Leafeon, Thanh tried their best to stay awake but they quickly fell asleep.
Feeling something move under their arm, Thanh originally thought that Leafeon had just needed to adjust her position but that changed when Thanh realized how warm this thing was. They quickly opened their eyes and sat up to see a growlithe of all things looking up back at them. The poor thing was too well groomed to just be a wild growlithe so Thanh decided that, once the storm subsided, they would go into town and try to find the pup’s owner.
A day or so later, they get into town and Thanh doesn’t waste any time, going aroubd town, putting up posters and asking people if they had seen this growlithe. Days turned into weeks and no one tried to claim the little growlithe. Thanh had spent so much time with her that they couldn’t just give her up so they let her join the team.
Now she’s a giant Arcanine that thinks she’s a lapdog and loves being held like a baby lol
-
Being the child of a champion, a well known breeder, and a contest star, Thanh never had to worry about having enough money to buy things that they needed. From buying lots of pokeballs to buying expensive pokedolls as gifts, they never looked twice at an item’s price tag. That was until they met a young haughty man while they were walking back into the city after training up for the next gym. The young man was asking anyone who passed if they wanted to buy pokemon from him, saying that they were the cream of the crop and that you couldn’t find pokemon like these out in the wild. Cages were lined up behind him of pokemon in all various sizes, from something as small as a Joltik to something as large and as rare as a dragonite. All of these pokemon looked sad and unhealthy so of course no one was going to buy them at the ridiculously high prices the man was asking. Even Thanh did a double take when they saw just how much the man was asking for them and just as they were about to leave, they noticed a small carrier stacked on top of a cage with Absol in it. They asked about it and the man brought the carrier down, revealing that there was a small blue ralts inside.
“This one’s broken so i’ll sell ‘im to ya for a lower price” the man grinned as he tried to hand the carrier to Thanh without asking them. Doing their best to hide their anger, Thanh lied to the man by saying that they didn’t have the money but they would have it if they came back tomorrow. The man smiled and stated that he’d be here all week so he’d gladly wait for them.
Later that night, Thanh came by where the man had his stall during the day to find that all of the pokemon were still there, stuck in their cages, while the man was no where to be seen. Working as fast as they could, Thanh, with the help of Leafeon and Arcanine, quickly broke out all of the pokemon and guiding them out to the nearby route. Most of the pokemon quickly fled, returning to the nature they belonged in. All but one. As Thanh watched the pokemon flee, there was a small tug at their pant leg and they looked down to see the small blue ralts holding onto their pant leg. He pointed to Thanh, then to the pokeball on their belt, and then to himself. Thanh grabbed an empty ball from their bag and bent down to the Ralts, asking if this is what he really wanted only to have him tap the button on the ball himself.
-
Thanh had the luxury to live both within city limits as well as living out in nature and the area was always green and full of life. Everywhere they had gone in their travels was full of life, from the base of volcanoes to the depths of the ocean. They had never seen anything like this before.
They were traveling up a mountain since it was the fastest way to get to the city on the other side of the mountain range but it was completely void of life. Pokemon, animals, and plants alike were either nowhere to be seen or dead. They had no clue what had happened but whatever it was would take years for this place to grow back to how it used to be. As they reached the top, they found a clearing where scorch and claw marks painted the scenery in a devastated light. This feeling only got stronger when Thanh saw what lie in the center.
A large and heavily wounded Aggron lay motionless in the center of the clearing. She had protected her mountain to her last breath. Not really sure if it would do want they had intended, Thanh took out some berries they had as well as some flowers they had picked on the way to the mountain and laid them next to the body as an attempt to pay respects. As they were about to leave, there was a small nudge at their legs which was nearly strong enough to knock them over. The second little nudge pushed Thanh onto the ground and they rolled over to find a little Aron standing at their feet. Was it protecting the Aggron?
As Thanh tried to get back up the Aron just pushed them again, so to try and make a peace treaty with her, they laid down more berries on the ground. This little peace treaty worked and Thanh was able to get up and start to leave again. Thanh didn’t get very far before the Aron came charging back after them, just stopping shy of their legs. Thanh told the little Aron that she shouldn’t come with them since the mountain was now her’s since her mother had passed but Thanh took a look around and realized that there would be nothing left for this Aron here. They quickly took back what they said and let her join their party, hoping that, when they return, life would return to it as well.
