Well, here it is! An exhaustive list of every alter in the system, under the cut. This post is mainly just for reference, but feel free to take a look if you've not met all of us yet or are just curious.

The host is the alter whose job is to live most of the everyday by fronting most frequently, and the other alters look to toon for guidance, and to resolve fights and arguments. Terry assumed the host role in 2020, but may have been in and out of dormancy for most of the system's life. Toon fused with Rocky and re-absorbed the "Blue Lantern Ring" fragment in the February 2024 fusion phase ("Fuse-A-Palooza"), and took on a second fragment from Caddy's failed fusion. Despite this, Terry's largely retained toon's identity. Chaos D. Twin sibling to Vivien, Chaos was the first alter Terry made contact with after discovery. It can create doors in the inner world to allow for fast travel, is a primary caregiver to Alex, and rushes to the front to help protect vulnerable friends and family. Twist fused with Treacher and Gadget during Fuse-A-Palooza, retaining its identity, but healing a permanent injury from its source. Spin's currently dating Len in The Panopticon, and one alter in our system who'll remain undisclosed. Cosmic "Taffy" Latte (Fusion of Taffy and Moon Unit) Pronouns: They/Star Tag: #To The Stars System Role(s): Self-Care, Exercise, Mood Booster

Before their fusion, Taffy was the second alter Terry made contact with after discovery, appearing the same night as Chaos. Moon Unit was a fragment created by the system for note-taking and basic self-care in High School. Now fused but retaining their old name as a nickname, star's a lot happier and more confident than either original part was, but has mostly retained "original" Taffy's in-sys appearance as well as star's vegetarianism. Martin Blackwood Pronouns: He/They Tag: #Tea And Sympathy System Role(s): Caregiver, Self-Care, Body Positivity, Grief & Trauma Holder

An introject from The Magnus Archives podcast. Martin's a caregiver for adult alters with mental health issues, and despite appearing soft-spoken and awkward can be incredibly sassy. He's dating Jonathan Sims and Jonny D'Ville in the Panopticon, has a Queerplatonic relationship with Nathan, and Vivien is his adopted sibling, who took his last name to help establish their own identity. Nathan seems to be a fusion of multiple smaller, simpler fragments that now function as a single alter, and joined the Blackwood-Stortion family to help develop his own identity. Marx's story is more than a little complicated. Caddy was a former host that fused with Dr. Gaster, a fragment - and the result was unstable and shattered into several pieces. Gerry was one such piece, and eventually fused with Nox, another former host alter. They both needed each other to find their place in the system - and the result is the colorful and flamboyant Marx, who we're still getting to know as of March 2024. Highwind is an alter created for a surprisingly specific purpose - playing video games with others - and it's damn good at them. It holds our knowledge and skills related to games, and in our inner world is the AI that keeps our airship home clean, safe and secure. Our resident supervillain! Roy's a Bad Guy but he isn't a bad guy; he's our in-system doctor, assessing the health of our inner-world bodies (which reflects our mental state) and treating us for psychosomatic illness. He also speaks to doctors on our behalf, advocating for proper care and medical investigation. Mello D. Adagio Pronouns: Any/All Tag: (None Yet) System Role(s): Trauma Holder, Skill & Knowledge Holder, System Management, former Host (?) We're pretty sure Mello is another former host, or at least a frequent fronter that dealt with specific trauma scenarios. They have our knowledge of musical instruments, notation, and how Digital Audio Workstations function, and seem to have some relation in system to allowing others to share information. Jeremy is a recovered persecutor, a type of alter that inflicts intentional harm to the system. After our post-fusion reshuffle, she's gone from the voice of our "inner critic" to an appreciator of beauty and creativity, and a creator in his own right. She holds our knowledge of fine art and theater, and our memories of museums, exhibitions and historical sites. Raine was the one keeping the rest of the system suppressed for most of our life; forcing other alters into dormancy, and allowing trauma to pile up as detached fragments. They only have memories of fronting to make sure our "dead" relationships stayed that way, but may have been the host for an indeterminate length of time, as our spouse recognizes their voice as what we sounded like around 10 years ago. Celeste Northstar Pronouns: She/Star/Bun Tag: (None Yet) System Role(s): Life Protector (removes suicidal urges), Host Protector, System Management

Celeste kept her existence a secret from nearly everyone for a long time, but came forward later as the one who forced Raine into temporary dormancy. This allowed Terry to make First Contact with the rest of the system; following that, she helps manage our emotional connections to the rest of the system, letting us "sense" when someone's in distress even if we're not in the same inner world area. Holiday Battenburg Pronouns: She/Cake Tag: (None Yet) System Role(s): Trauma Holder, Memory Holder, Caregiver

Holiday holds our memories of celebrations, vacations and parties - the good and the bad - and is one of Jazz's primary caregivers (mum). She's the "happy face" we had to put on when dealing with trauma relating to these things, but cake's slowly opening up to feeling a wider range of emotions, and learning to share what she's holding onto. Dagwood H. Sandwich Pronouns: He/Him Tag: #Bring Me Sunshine System Role(s): Mood Booster, Gatekeeper, Memory Holder

Holding the memories of the system's biological brother behind a literal locked door, Dagwood is the system's "littlest gatekeeper", but has been slowly letting those memories out so the system can deal with them piece by piece. Showtunes, "golden age" cartoons, and episodes of Morcambe And Wise will bring him to the front. Astera Weaver (Fusion of Hyi and Ari) Pronouns: It/She Tag: (None Yet) System Role(s): Gatekeeper, System Management and Communications, Memory Holder Hyi was our original gatekeeper, being able to block most alters from front, and Ari facilitated communications with alters outside of front via audio and video calls in system. Given the two worked so closely together, their fusion wasn't exactly a surprise, and Astera is better able to communicate and more willing to front than either of them were. Nox Vox-Nocturne Pronouns: He/They/It/Eye Tag: #Eye See Monsters System Role(s): Paranoia & Hypervigilance Holder, former Host Nox seems to be a holder for our feelings of paranoia and hypervigilance, and seems to have been host sometime in our late teens/early 20s. He's still getting used to having people care about it, but they're definitely capable of caring about others, and are helping to rekindle our interest in stories and video games. Loves street food, especially a good thai curry.

Amadeus Nocturne Serenade (Fusion of Nocturne and Lucille) Pronouns: It/Dark/Claw Tag: (None Yet) System Role(s): Anger Holder, Emotional Suppressor, Self-Harm Prevention The original fusion that made Nocturne (Yvonne and Harvey) came as a surprise, but resulted in one of the most emotionally stable alters in the system. Following that, Lucille joined with them, giving it a better coping mechanism. Claw now uses darks intimidating presence as a distraction in the inner world, while it isolates, contains, and "devours" the urge to commit self-harm. Rosie "Riot" Terrence (Fusion of Anarchy and Roxanne) Pronouns: She/They/Bun/Paint Tag: #Viva La Riot System Role(s): Protector, Gatekeeper (removes alters from front), Anger Holder Our first fusion of fusions; Anarchy came from Charlie and Rakugaki, Roxanne came from Roxy and Rosie. They fused during "Fuse-A-Palooza" to cut down on the number of superfluous protectors in the system, consolidating their strength to control buns temper and uphold paints ideals of justice and fairness. Commander Samuel Vimes Pronouns: He/Him Tag: (None Yet) System Role(s): Gatekeeper, In-System Peacekeeping, Stress Management (system-related stress) An introject from the Discworld series, Vimes appeared in system when we needed someone to contain The Red Forest, a massive fragment amalgamate that manifested as a hostile place in our inner world. He can "lock down" areas of headspace, preventing anyone from getting in or out, and recently took on the burden of the general stress that comes from being a system. Bitter Aster Pronouns: He/Him Tag: (None Yet) System Role(s): Chores, Emotional Protector, Life Protector (Removes the urge to self-harm), Soother (Prevents panic attacks) Bitter retains our knowledge of coping skills and self-help techniques, and fronts to help during panic attacks and urges to self-harm. In extreme situations, Bitter will actively take away short-term memories or intrusive thoughts so other alters stop focusing on them. Following our post-fusion reshuffle, he helps out with kitchen chores and cooking.

Jenova Destati (fused with The Divine Beast) Pronouns: She/It/Fen Tag: (None Yet) System Role(s): Pain Taker, former System Suppressor Jenova was the last alter to emerge directly from The Red Forest before it collapsed, and used to only front when the body was in extreme pain. When The Divine Beast emerged from the aftermath of Caddings' failed fusion (itself being the remnants of The Red Forest), they fused together, allowing the Divine Beast to "die" peacefully by becoming a part of Jenova. "Thirteen" (fused with Fox) Pronouns: She/He Tag: #Unlucky For Some System Role(s): Trauma Holder, Memory Holder, System Architect (designs and maintains areas of the Inner World) Thirteen is a trauma holder specifically for "learned helplessness", and came out as transfem (identifying as bigender) shortly before fusing with Fox during Fuse-A-Palooza. The resulting fusion has retained Thirteen's name and "base" identity, so for privacy reasons she'll continue to use a pseudonym online. She's dating Archivist Grian in The Panopticon. Roses is our charismatic "face" alter, navigating our performances in front of an audience, and complex social situations like formal events and appointments. "Leaf" Pronouns: They/It Tag: (None Yet) System Role(s): Financial & Resource Anxiety, Trauma Holder An alter whose real name isn't disclosed by their own request, Leaf tries to be as unobtrusive as possible, and for a long time stayed isolated from the system unless forced into front. It started fronting more at the start of March 2024, and their bravery and headstrong attitude (and interest in Monster Hunter) has earned them the title "The Giant Slayer". "Donner" Pronouns: He/Him Tag: #The Devil You Know System Role(s): Caregiver, Trauma Holder, Chores, Former Sexual Alter

An introject from an undisclosed source. Donner is one of Jazz's primary caregivers (dad), and is starting to front more frequently as he learns to get along better with other alters. He used to be the one that "held" the sexuality of other alters due to the confusion of having multiple personalities, but no longer fills this role after discovery.

The Kids

Our alters that are under 18 in system and behave like children or teenagers while fronting. They never front without an adult alter being present, and information here is limited to protect the system.

After decades of inertial confinement fusion research, a yield of more than 1.3 megajoules (MJ) was achieved at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s (LLNL’s) National Ignition Facility (NIF) for the first time on Aug. 8, 2021, putting researchers at the threshold of fusion gain and achieving scientific ignition.

On the one-year anniversary of this historic achievement, the scientific results of this record experiment have been published in three peer-reviewed papers[...] More than 1,000 authors are included in the Physical Review Letters paper to recognize and acknowledge the many individuals who have worked over many decades to enable this significant advance.

“The record shot was a major scientific advance in fusion research, which establishes that fusion ignition in the lab is possible at NIF,” said Omar Hurricane, chief scientist for LLNL’s inertial confinement fusion program. “Achieving the conditions needed for ignition has been a long-standing goal for all inertial confinement fusion research and opens access to a new experimental regime where alpha-particle self-heating outstrips all the cooling mechanisms in the fusion plasma.”

The papers describe, in detail, the results from Aug. 8, 2021 and the associated design, improvements and experimental measurements. LLNL physicist Alex Zylstra, lead experimentalist and first author of the experimental Physical Review E paper, noted that in 2020 and early 2021 the Lab conducted experiments in the “burning plasma” regime for the first time, which set the stage for the record shot.

“From that design, we made several improvements to get to the Aug. 8, 2021, shot,” he said. “Improvements to the physics design and quality of target all helped lead to the success of the August shot, which is discussed in the Physical Review E papers.”

This experiment incorporated a few changes, including improved target design. “Reducing the coasting-time with more efficient hohlraums compared to prior experiments was key in moving between the burning plasma and ignition regimes,” said LLNL physicist Annie Kritcher, lead designer and first author of the design Physical Review E paper. “The other main changes were improved capsule quality and a smaller fuel fill tube.”

Since the experiment last August, the team has been executing a series of experiments to attempt to repeat the performance and to understand the experimental sensitivities in this new regime.

“Many variables can impact each experiment,” Kritcher said. “The 192 laser beams do not perform exactly the same from shot to shot, the quality of targets varies and the ice layer grows at differing roughness on each target. These experiments provided an opportunity to test and understand the inherent variability in this new, sensitive experimental regime.”

While the repeat attempts have not reached the same level of fusion yield as the August 2021 experiment, all of them demonstrated capsule gain greater than unity with yields in the 430-700 kJ range, significantly higher than the previous highest yield of 170 kJ from February 2021. [...] The team also is utilizing the experimental data to further understanding of the fundamental processes of fusion ignition and burn and to enhance simulation tools in support of stockpile stewardship.

Looking ahead, the team is working to leverage the accumulated experimental data and simulations to move toward a more robust regime – further beyond the ignition cliff – where general trends found in this new experimental regime can be better separated from variability in targets and laser performance.[...]

“It is extremely exciting to have an ‘existence proof’ of ignition in the lab,” Hurricane said. “We’re operating in a regime that no researchers have accessed since the end of nuclear testing, and it’s an incredible opportunity to expand our knowledge as we continue to make progress.”

The Chinese balloon that transfixed America in recent days was no surprise to Cheng Ming-dean. “This balloon has been appearing for a long time!” the head of Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau wrote on Facebook on Saturday, pointing to a picture of the same kind of balloon taken by an agency employee in September 2021.

The US government’s outing and downing of the balloon have focused global attention on China’s sprawling programme for so-called lighter-than-air vehicles — which Beijing is rapidly putting to use around the world, including for military purposes, after years of research and pilot projects. The Pentagon has said it has observed a second balloon over Central and South America, without elaborating, and stressed that China had been operating a number of surveillance balloons in recent years. T

hey “are all part of a [Chinese] fleet of balloons developed to conduct surveillance operations, which have also violated the sovereignty of other countries”, a US defence official said. “These kinds of activities are often undertaken at the direction of the People’s Liberation Army. Over the past several years, Chinese balloons have previously been spotted over countries across five continents, including in Asia, South Asia and Europe.”

In February last year, four groups of high-altitude balloons were detected over northern Taiwan, home to most of the country’s population and some of its most important air defence sites. The same month, the US Air Force scrambled fighters to intercept an unmanned balloon off Kauai, a Hawaiian island that has a key missile-testing range. In January 2022 one of the white orbs was spotted over India while another was seen over Taiwan in September 2021.

The earliest publicly reported sighting was over the northern Japanese city of Sendai in June 2020. Taiwan’s armed forces last year confirmed a local news report that the February 2022 balloon swarm originated from the PLA Rocket Force, the missile arm of the Chinese military. In keeping with Taipei’s strategy to avoid public panic over Chinese military threats, the defence ministry said the balloons posed no danger and were being used for meteorological observations.

But despite the apparent overlap with Beijing’s explanation for the latest balloon, analysts dismiss the claim that these are harmless civilian craft. Cheng, the weather bureau chief, said the Chinese devices were fundamentally different from weather balloons in size, altitude and materials. In the most stunning evidence of China’s military use of stratospheric balloons, Chinese media including the military channel of state broadcaster CCTV reported in September 2018 that a high-altitude balloon tested hypersonic missiles.

Video footage carried by CCTV and reposted on social media app Douyin at the time, but now deleted, showed a balloon visually identical to the one over the US last week, carrying what looked like three different kinds of warheads. According to Chinese media reports and a related Chinese Academy of Sciences research paper, they were models for “wide speed range” hypersonic vehicles, which can fly both below and above the speed of sound.

China’s research on LTA vehicles belongs to two institutes at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, one of which is exclusively dedicated to high-altitude balloons. But in line with Beijing’s “military-civil fusion” policy, which calls for civilian or commercial technology developments to be made available for military use if necessary, those efforts are closely integrated with those of the PLA, its research institutes and the military-industrial complex, and as such subject to secrecy.

BABYMETAL Releases New Single 'Divine Attack'

Japanese pop-metal band BABYMETAL has released "Divine Attack", the first single from its upcoming concept album, "The Other One", due on March 23. The song is accompanied by an official visualizer, available to watch below.

Last year BABYMETAL was "sealed" from the world after a successful 10-year journey. In April 2022, "The Other One" restoration project began to recover the BABYMETAL we never knew existed within a virtual world called the Metalverse. A total of 10 songs have been discovered within "The Other One" restoration project, with each song representing a unique theme based on 10 separate parallel worlds that they have discovered.

One of the discovered 10 parallel worlds is "Cavalry", and "Divine Attack" centers around this theme. As if this song is a hint into the future, alluding to a cavalry preparing for their next battle, we can feel a new sense of power from not only the sound but also the lyrics that have been written by Su-Metal for the first time. In addition, the official visualizer includes never-before-seen cuts of the members from "The Other One" — Black Box — and conveys the power and dynamism of the song. After BABYMETAL makes its official return on January 28 and January 29 of next year at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall, they will also be joining Swedish metal band SABATON on their Europe tour in April 2023.

BABYMETAL was formed in 2010. Their mission was to unify the world through heavy metal by creating a fusion of heavy metal and the Japanese pop genre. Their music contains a stunning mix of electronic pop, a pinch of alternative and industrial rock, and is leveled up by fast-driven heavy metal. Their live shows are ground-breaking and epic visual as well as sound performances. BABYMETAL continued to travel the path of metal with the international release of their three albums, telling the story of the mighty Fox God and his brave metal warriors.

A book about the first ten years of BABYMETAL, "Bessatsu Kadokawa Souryoku Tokushuu", was released in Japan in October 2020. It contains a long interview with Su-metal and Moametal as well as never-before-heard stories from band producer Kobametal from BABYMETAL's decade-long history, photos taken from live shows, a discussion between Demon Kakka and Kobametal, and much more.

BABYMETAL's third studio album, "Metal Galaxy", came out in October 2019 via earMUSIC/Edel. The follow-up to 2016's "Metal Resistance" was based on the concept of "The Odyssey Of Metal Galaxy".

In 2018, BABYMETAL announced the departure of Yuimetal, who was formerly one of the members of the Japanese group's core trio. She exited the band, explaining in a statement that she would go on to pursue a solo career as Mizuno Yu.

The Multiverse List!

So, I said a while back that I'd post a list of universes within the Kryptonverse Multiverse, and the day for that is now! I've had this list for a couple of years by now (Google Docs says February 2020), and I've been picking at it every now and then, starting by going through the list on the Marvel wiki (a very, very long list) and then the DC ones (a much, much shorter but more confusing list, thanks to all the Crisis events). Of course, that would leave out quite a few universes in the series, considering they'd rarely have an existing crossover reality number with either Marvel or DC, in which case I came up with my own. Some were easy, like the Ben 10 world (Earth-10000, for Ben 10K), others I went the boring route and just used the numbering convention (taking the date it launched or the birthday of the main creative on the project), and some I just plain don't remember how I came up with (the ML one is a good example).

Anyway, this is not the full list, as some of the universes revealed would be a spoiler. The premise here is that these are dimensions Victor and Reed have catalogued (not necessarily visited), but I'm obviously not presenting this list in their voices. This is strictly out of context and just my own notes. If and when the Avengers discover the information the pair have gathered in their universe-hopping plan, I may have some notes from Victor and Reed's POV. Probably just for the more unique ones, though.

The main DC Comics continuity, as it currently exists (whatever form that takes).

Impossible for most interdimensional travelers to visit or interact with, but typically the source of many Multiverse-altering events.

The world of the DC Animated Universe, from Batman: the Animated Series till Justice League Unlimited, plus the feature films and specials explicitly stated to happen in the same continuity.

Earth-16 (Ravenverse):

The world of Young Justice, in conjunction with the Teen Titans animated series. The original home of Earth-199999’s Kara Zor-El.

A fusion of two previously separate, very broken universes: the Injustice universe, where Superman became a despotic tyrant after the Joker caused the death of his wife and unborn child; and the Mortal Kombat universe, home to such icons as Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden. Each shattered by straying so far from their respective frameworks that they became almost unrecognizable, they were knit together to avoid cosmic destruction. Combined post-canon of Injustice 2 and Mortal Kombat 11.

“Mistaken Identity” takes place here.

Earth-1218:

Actual, real life Earth. Hidden to all but the highest of cosmic entities in the Multiverse, this reality cannot be visited or interacted with, as any possible change or damage inflicted upon it could irrevocably alter the Multiverse or even destroy it altogether.

The COVID-19 outbreak has had a huge influence on how we consume entertainment. As lockdowns and social distancing measures were implemented worldwide, many turned to video games as a form of entertainment, social interaction, and stress relief. Video gaming is a social activity in and of itself since people have digital citizenship within video gaming, as well as specific games and game elements. A sense of community is frequently established through live streaming, which has a built-in, real-time chat feature, as well as other platforms such as Discord (a social platform that includes conversation channels) and social media such as Twitter and Facebook (Kowert & Daniel, 2021).

By April 2020, when many parts of America were under lockdown, this number had surged to over 7.3 million. This spike in streamers coincided with a rise in the national unemployment rate, which reached 14.8% in the same month, as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (Palumbo, 2021).

The "monetization" of video game live streaming is one of the most significant factors driving its growth. Indeed, video game streaming allows people to commoditise their lives by converting their hobbies - playing games - into commodities that other users would pay to see. Each level uniquely produces money, and as a person's following develops, so does their level and earnings (Palumbo 2021). While anyone can make money via video game streaming, few can earn a consistent and significant income from these sites.

In conclusion, the COVID-19 pandemic has reshaped the landscape of entertainment consumption, with video games emerging as a significant outlet for social interaction, stress relief, and community building during isolation. Moreover, the surge in video game streaming during the pandemic underscores the growing popularity of platforms like Twitch and YouTube Gaming, offering individuals opportunities to monetize their gaming hobbies. While the pandemic has accelerated these shifts, it's evident that the fusion of gaming and social interaction will continue to shape our entertainment habits in the post-pandemic world, emphasizing the enduring power of digital communities and shared experiences.

It’s the other areas that have been compensated for.” He compared it with when he had fusion surgery on his lower back. He said the L5 and S1 vertebrae were fine. “But all the surrounding areas is where I had all my problems and I still do,” he said. “So you fix one, others have to become more hypermobile to get around it, and it can lead to some issues.” Woods recently caddied for his son, Charlie, at the Notah Begay III Junior Golf Championship, sparking speculation that he was close to playing again. Woods will be playing the Hero World Challenge for the first time since 2019. The holiday event was canceled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and then he badly damaged his right leg in a February 2021 car crash outside of Los Angeles that threatened to end his career. He returned a year later at the Masters and made the cut, and he played in two more majors, including what figures to be his final appearance at St. Andrews in the British Open. He has said his tournament play would be limited, and he played only the Genesis Invitational at Riviera, which he hosts, and the Masters this year before having surgery on his ankle.
