Where the worlds don’t cry we lived
A soft white meadow made of glass,
We would sleep there.
When the wars in the skies bled
We would look up from our meadow
And enjoy, thinking it was rain.
It was poison.
When the war from the skies called up for you,
I sent you, thinking you would call me up as well,
We’d build another white meadow up there -
You’re here with me now,
On my skin, on my hair,
When I close my eyes, I dream about you building our house up there,
And in the rain I drench,
It’s no longer poison and it smells of you.
Daylight - forgiven; absence- forgotten.
