A quick update on the remaining Honey Gourami in my 29 gallon aquarium.

After starting to swim around again in the old scape of the tank he seems to have settled right into the new scape without issue.

I see him patrolling around the tank on his little adventures multiple times per day.

He also stole a bloodworm that a corydoras was eating a couple of days ago so he seems to be gaining some confidence.

Honey Gourami or Thick-Lipped Gourami?

This fish seems to be becoming more and more popular in the UK and it's being sold as a "Red Honey Gourami".

I have seen people say that this is actually a thick-lipped gourami or a hybrid rather than an actual honey gourami.

My honey gourami are peaceful and do really well in my community tank without ever showing aggression to their tank mates.

I have seen people online report that they purchased these fish and they were far more aggressive than a regular honey gourami.

Some people have reported that their fish totally changed color as the fish aged too.

Hello honey gourami people !

I've adopted a honey gourami a few months ago (he's living in a planted 60L with 6 endlers) He's doing fine but he refuses every single food i give him (i tried a variety of pellets, flakes, daphnia, other dried foods) he always tries to eat but spits it out (yes, i tried crushing it into minuscule bites but it didn't help :() The only things he eats are frozen bloodworms, and bladder snails (if i'm nice enough to crush one for him) but i'm afraid this is not the best diet ? i wouldn't want him getting sick !

I'm surprised because every care guide online says they're no picky eaters ;-; !

Have you ever had a similar issue ? I'd love some advice if you have some to share !

Finally got to show off Gourami's glamor form recently! She's the cursed Arch Fae steering the show with my 2 in one player character. Sadly she's still very cursed to remain as a small school of little boring fish on a treant's back, but with the help of Maggie, they were able to conjure illusions to use to talk to a group of fish folk that have been struggling to be a unified force lately. It's getting really important that they get their act together. A world set to have an Armageddon sometime soon and all that, so maybe hearing from one of their goddesses that has been missing for near a century, would help light some fires.

As for the design! I had help from my friend mainframe110 several years ago with her initial look. I told him I'd like her to be mostly inanimate looking, being made of coral that eventually gives out to shaped water that houses the fish that also make up her entire being, since she is a kind of hive mind. It's only since like march 2022 I started trying to learn how to draw people but I've been getting the hang of some things! I was able to finalize the design by that point from his initial sketch, getting her body shape and little details in order! I'm happy to have her look out!
