thinking soft childe thoughts again. this man truly does live rent free in my brain

falling in love with him, i think, would feel a lot like learning to walk with the knowledge that the space beside you is no longer empty.

there aren't any grand signs when you first meet: there is no moment of déjà vu, no sudden flurry of butterflies in your gut when you lock eyes for the first time, no hushed internal whispers of "have we met before?". there is no higher power guiding him when he approaches you and introduces himself, bright eyes and boyish grin on full display. there is no higher power guiding you when you test the feel of his name on your tongue and introduce yourself right back, cautious but curious of who and what he is. you're just two people who happened to be in the same space, at the same time, and that's how your story starts.

the days pass by like a warm reel of laughter with childe at your side. he's a wonderful friend; funny, charming, with a tendency to spoil you and insist even when you refuse because "this is what friends do! besides, i'm gonna eat your food anyway, so at least let me pay—". he's thoughtful and courteous, but he keeps your life exciting with all the mischief and stark joy he brings along with him. you know what he is, and though you don't completely know what his job entails, neither of you bring it up in the times you spend together. in the comfort of your company, he is not childe the harbinger or tartaglia, the waker of the deep. when he walks and fills the space beside you, he's just childe, your friend who raids your cupboards when he's feeling snacky and slips mora into your wallet when you're not looking. who wakes you up in the morning by knocking on the window right by your bed (instead of knocking on your door, you know, like a normal person). who goes on walks with you around the harbor to admire the sights and maybe work on his liyueren accent and vocabulary by conversing with you about anything and everything under the sun. who holds your hand like it's second nature, and matches the length of his strides to your own like he doesn't want either of you to ever be too far apart.

when your days pass like this, gradually getting to know the familiarity of his touch and presence in your life, falling in love isn't as daunting as it should be. the realization comes slowly to you though. it's when you find yourself tilting your head to whisper to the waiting ear beside you, when you stand and wait in an ever-moving crowd once you recognize the sound of his approach. it's when you set out two bowls instead of one at night and attach an assistive band to one pair of chopsticks because even after all this time, he still doesn't know how to use them.

falling in love with childe feels a lot like a gradual shift of colors in the ginkgo leaves of your homeland as the seasons pass by. he walks with you through the harbor often now, like a routine he can't give up. and while he admires the sights of liyue in the beauty of fall, you admire him.

it's in the glint of those golden leaves framing his fiery hair and blue eyes that you realize: "i've loved him for a while now, haven't i?"

i think that's how it all starts, honestly. you fall first, before you even realize, and your life suddenly becomes all the more colorful with the feelings you couldn't recognize before suddenly intermingling with the casual comfort he brings with him. it could open the door to something angsty, where you think your feelings are unreturned and try to cope, or maybe something soft and silly, where everyone can see just how much you like childe while he remains oblivious to your affections, but still sweet all the same.

in the end though, it wouldn't really matter if you really were the one who fell first. because childe, who saw you in that moment and took the first step to something bigger than he could've ever expected, would definitely be the one who fell harder.

I’ve been saying this for 3 or 4 weeks now, but I love this week’s episode so much?????? Every moment is just 😙👌🏻

Roy is slowly working on his anger issue, and once he get a grip on himself, he’d definitely have a proper conversation with Keeley about their relationship. I can feel it guys, it’s getting near. Anyone notices when he did the king kong thing banging on his chest? Bc it was so damn cute I can’t take it aaaaaa

And of course!! The centric storyline of 3x09, Isaac and Colin woohooooooo. As I said in the post last week, Isaac was going through his acceptance phase, and it’s not gonna be easy for him and Colin. No he is not homophobic, and I don’t understand why some would think Isaac is gonna out Colin. He was angry and frustrated, Colin lied to him for years, he just could not believe it. But even when he could not control his own outrageousness, even when he dared to beat the shit out of that man, even when he felt he was not trustworthy enough for his best friend’s secret, he would never betray Colin like that.

Yeah sometimes I wish somebody, anybody could headbutt those homophobes, racists like what Isaac did on the field. I’m 100% with him on this. Those bastards fucking derserve it. Also, I like the fact that Roy is always kind of a mentor to Isaac, a formal captain to the current captain. Roy calmly guided Isaac through his chaotic state of mind, and it always works like a wonder.

Colin’s not coming out to the entire world but just his teammates and coaches is something so personal to me. As long as there are people truly care about him and his feelings, he doesn’t have to seek any recognition from the rest of the world. I hope we can see him introducing Michael as his boyfriend (and kissing him) in upcoming episodes. Maybe Michael will appear in the locker room after Richmond got an important win of the season?

Yeah and the bros talk at the ending, I laughed out loud like an idiot bc it was so beautiful… Straight dude bonding with gay dude during a FIFA game???? It was hilarious af, and I think I got flashback to when me and my bi friend educating other straight friends about gay terms lolll. Actually I’m straight too but I have consumed too much gay content, too much I think I have an army of devils behind my back.

Oi we have now confirmed Sam is the first vice captain, I wonder who the second one is then. Jamie maybe? That’d explain their dorky interaction across the locker room. It’s so heartwarming when I realise they used to hate each other guts, and now they’re just happily joking around all the time.

stan one time tried to help kyle feel better about himself bc kyle’s insecure about the way he looks, especially his hair, so stan reached up to play/mess with it but his fingers accidentally got too close to kyle’s ears.. cheer up tickles ensued until stan forced kyle to admit that he’s good-looking

kenny somehow knows everyone’s worst spots

but he’s the sweetest ler ever, playfully teasing and complimenting whoever he’s tickling

wendy found out stan’s ticklish and thinks it’s the cutest thing in the world <3 she’s obsessed with his dorky giggles

shelly uses tickles on stan instead of violence when she’s annoyed with him and knows that their parents are close by (sharon catches their tickle fights some times and thinks it’s adorable)

imp tweek wags his tail and frantically flaps his wings while being tickled

also the inside of his wings are ticklish

idk if you’ve seen the superhero episodes yet (my apologies if not) but the other kids like to tickle mysterion until his voice cracks bc they think his high-pitched squeals and laugh is such a funny contrast to the deep voice he puts on

also mysterion was trying to cheer up karen one time and was like “hey your brother told me of a game you two play sometimes” and they played tickle games until she was happy and smiling again

summary: i have a stupid silly crush on mark lee so i’m making it into a oneshot before i lose my mind

curling up on your couch, snuggling in blankets and eating your favorite snacks was what you planned on doing for the rest of the night. after having to take over for your partner’s side of your group project, you were exhausted and wanted nothing more but to rest.

your friends, on the other hand, had other plans.

you crashed onto the couch of your apartment and were ready to take a well deserved nap, but were interrupted by the vibration of your phone. you shot your head up and snatched your phone from the coffee table, glaring at the contact name.

“what?” you asked, clearly irritated.

from the other side of the phone, you could basically hear yuta’s smile. “come on, we’re going to the school festival!”

“no, i’m tired.” you pulled your phone away from your ear to hang up but stopped once you heard yuta’s faint protests. reluctantly, you held your phone back up to your ear. “you better have one convincing reason as to why i should go.”

“well, for one, because we’re your friends and you love us so much,” yuta teased. “and also, mark is going!”

you stayed silent, contemplating how you were going to strangle yuta once you saw him. “just because you said that, i’m not going.”

“what? y/n, just imagine how cute it would be if you were to confess to him at the top of the ferris wheel, or something!”

you laughed at him. “first of all, mark is afraid of heights, so that’s not happening. and second, i’m pretty sure he doesn’t like me back. i’d probably just make a fool out of myself.”

“you’re kidding, right? are you stupid?” yuta gaped at you, a humorous smile laid out across his face.

you rolled your eyes. “i didn’t stay on this call just so you could call me stupid.” you felt your phone vibrate in your hand and you looked to see that it was a text from no one other than mark. “i got to go, yuta. see you.”

“wait, are you-”

quickly, you ended the call and opened your messages.

feeling defeated, you slumped against your couch cushions and awaited mark’s arrival. had it been anyone else, it would’ve been much easier to flat out say ‘no’, but with mark, the word was completely erased from your vocabulary. you were only able to have about ten minutes of pure bliss before you heard the jiggling of your doorknob and mark’s faint humming.

“thank goodness for the spare key!” mark cheered as he entered your apartment.

lazily, you turned your head towards him and looked at him with a dead gaze. mark only laughed at you and jumped onto the couch next to you, barely missing your head.

“tough day?” mark asked, reaching for your leftover drink that sat on your coffee table. he cringed at the watered-down taste before standing up to go throw it away.

“yeah. you know that group project i had? they didn’t do jack shit,” you grumbled into the cushion.

“you know what’ll make you feel better?” he kneeled down to meet your eyes and smiled. “going to the festival!”

he reached for your hands that you desperately tried to hide from him and began to pull you up into a seated position. you groaned in response but made no move to fight against him.

“come on, i’ll buy us ice cream once we get there,” mark offered. you looked up at him to see him staring at you with his wide, doe eyes, basically begging you to say yes. he made it impossible for you to say no.

you hated it, but you gave in. “ugh...fine.”

“wow, they went all out this year, didn’t they?” you mumbled as you stared out the window of mark’s car. you couldn’t help but admire the colorful lighting that lit up the area.

“i know right? it’s awesome,” mark agreed.

after parking the car, the two of you made you way to the ticket booth where you paid for your tickets and entered. you stayed close behind as mark searched for your other friends, flinching when he grabbed your arm to drag you towards them.

someone’s arm slung around your shoulder, weighing you down. “so, you decided to show up?”

you looked up to see yuta smirking at you, raising his eyebrows and shifting his gaze back and forth between you and mark. you glared at him and shrugged his arm off, punching him in the ribs. “oh, shut it.” luckily, mark had been too busy chatting away with johnny that he didn’t notice yuta’s odd behavior.

“so, are you gonna do it tonight?” yuta asked you excitedly.

“do what? confess?” you snorted and shook your head. “i already told you, yuta, there’s no way he likes me back.”

yuta groaned loudly, catching the attention of a few other students walking by. “the two of you are going to drive me insane, i swear.”

you furrowed our eyebrows in confusion, but before you could question what he meant, mark was tugging at your arm and leading you towards the games.

“okay! i’m gonna make it a mission to win you a stuffed animal. which one do you want?” mark asked you with a big smile.

you chuckled at him and shook your head. “i was kidding, mark, you don’t actually-”

“no! i’m gonna do it. now, tell me which one you want.”

you couldn’t help but laugh at him as he said that, falling for him and his dorky antics all over again. scanning the area, you spotted a dinosaur plushy that was practically calling your name. immediately, you took mark by the arm and led him over.

“oh, this will be easy!” mark said confidently after seeing it was a basketball based game. he turned to look at you with a smirk on his face. “just watch.”

you chuckled again and stood off to the side. “don’t get too cocky now.”

mark had always been a naturally funny person, so it wasn’t surprising that after only two minutes, you were clutching at your stomach, unable to hold in your laugh. mark had somehow managed to miss every shot and approached you with sunken shoulders and a shocked look.

“wow, i didn’t know i was that bad. in my defense, that shit is a lot harder than it looks.”

coming down from your fit of laughter, you pat his arm comfortingly. “it’s okay, mark, i didn’t expect much. let’s go find something else to do.”

“hell no, i’m going again.” before you could protest, mark was already stepping up to the booth and offering his money.

you shook your head at him and sighed. mark really made it hard not to love him.

after about ten minutes, mark finally returned to you victorious, a proud smile peeking from behind a large dinosaur plushy. gratefully, you took the dinosaur into your arms. “was it worth all that money? you really didn’t have to, you know.”

mark let out a soft laugh. “yeah, but i wanted to.” you were lucky the dinosaur was big enough to hide the wild blush upon your cheeks. “what next?”

“i’ll win you one for a change. i think that if i let you play any longer then you’ll spend all your money,” you nudged him gently with your shoulder.

“i didn’t do that bad,” mark whined, pouting at you.

“whatever you say, mark.”

like any other night you spent with mark, it was filled with laughter and jokes. you seemed to always have a good time with him, it was one of the very many things that you loved about him. he had the ability to turn your frown upside down, as cheesy as it sounds. the two of you had regrouped with your friends with stuffed animals in both of your arms, as well as bright smiles plastered across your faces.

“did you win her all of these, mark?” yuta teased the two of you.

while you blushed, mark laughed it off and shook his head. “actually, y/n won majority of these. i’m not as great at those games as i thought.”

johnny approached the three of you, an ice cream cone in his hand reminding you of mark’s promise. “fireworks are starting soon, we’re gonna go grab seats on the grass.”

“i’ll come with,” yuta called after him. he waved the two of you goodbye and, again, it was just you and mark.

“hey, you promised me ice cream!” you said to mark.

mark’s lips curled up into a shameful smile. “i was hoping that you would forget...whatever, i was craving some anyway.”

“i’ll go get us a seat,” you told him, taking his stuffed animals into your arms. he nodded and you went your separate ways.

thankfully, you were able to quickly spot johnny and yuta who had already saved a spot for you and mark. as you sat down, yuta scoot himself next to you and nudged your shoulder.

“you should confess today or i assure you this crush of yours is gonna end up going nowhere,” he said.

you scoffed. “i was already expecting it to go nowhere.”

yuta groaned and grabbed your shoulders, shaking them. “are you an idiot? do you seriously think mark isn’t head over heels for your dumbass?” he let go of your shoulders and dramatically sprawled himself across your lap. “you two are both big, oblivious idiots.”

“why do you keep saying that?” you asked him with furrowed eyebrows.

yuta sat up and gave you a dead stare. he sighed, “like i said, big oblivious idiot.” he averted his gaze to someone behind you and then back to you. “just trust me on this, he likes you.”

yuta was gone before you could ask how he knew, and mark took his spot next to you. he handed you your ice cream, which was your favorite flavor, and scoot closer to you. his shoulder brushed against yours, making you blush. if you weren’t too busy trying not to choke on your ice cream and looked over, you would see that mark was blushing as well.

as the night grew colder, you cursed at yourself for not bringing a jacket. the coldness of your ice cream didn’t help your situation. you only hoped that mark didn’t notice, but he was already shrugging his jacket off of his shoulders.

frantically, you shook your head, encouraging mark to keep the jacket for himself. “you’ll get cold, mark, it’s fine.”

he shook his head and draped the jacket around your shoulders, a soft smile sitting comfortably across his features. “i knew you were probably going to get cold at some point, so i wore a sweatshirt too. thank lord you got cold, i was lowkey sweating my ass off.”

“thank you,” you giggled.

the lights dimmed and you and mark both turned your attention towards the sky. you felt mark lean backwards on his arms, one of his arms settling itself behind your back. as the first firework set off in the air, the crowd erupted in sounds of awe. even beside you, you could hear mark let out a small laugh. turning to look at him, you couldn’t help but adore the way his eyes glistened and shimmered in amazement.

mark could feel your gaze on him and he could feel his hands grow clammy. "they’re pretty, aren’t they?” he asked without turning to look at you.

you turned to admire the fireworks again and smiled, feeling glad to enjoy this moment with mark. “yeah...”

you felt something soft hit your cheek, and looked down to see a gummy bear sitting in your lap. you looked around to find where it came from and found yuta staring at you with wide eyes. he was mouthing words at you that you were barely able to make out.

tell him.

nervously, you chewed at your lip and scraped at the melted ice cream in your bowl. if yuta had been dropping that many hints, he couldn’t have been lying, right? before you could say anything, mark beat you to it.

“hey, can i tell you something?” mark said suddenly.

“um, yeah of course...but actually there was something that i wanted to tell you,” you chuckled nervously.

“oh, really?” mark asked, clearly surprised. “okay, yeah, what’s up?”

out of habit, you turned away and laughed fiddling with your hands in your lap. “i um...” you gulped down the lump in your throat and wiped your sweaty palms against your jeans. “i really like you, mark.”

you were too scared to look up and see his reaction, but his silence was scaring you even more. when you looked up you were expected to be met with rejection, but were surprised when you saw mark smiling down at you, his eyes shining the same way they did when he was watching the fireworks.

“really?” with the way he looked at you, you knew he thought you were joking. you gave him a soft smile and nodded.

“yes, really.” you chuckled at the way he sat up in shock.

“no way, i was going to tell you the same thing!” mark beamed.

the two of you stared at each other with idiotic smiles on your faces before you both burst into fits of laughter.

“you’re not joking, right? because i’m not joking,” you asked to clarify.

mark laughed again and grabbed your hand. “no, i’m not kidding.” he threw his head back with a frustrated groan. “man, i thought yuta was lying to me, we could’ve gotten to this point a lot quicker.”

“it’s okay, i thought he was kidding too,” you reassured.

you weren’t sure what else to say and could only stare at mark with the brightest smile that you could give him. he tucked a strand of hair behind your ear and let his hand cup your cheek.

“c-can i kiss you?” he stuttered out nervously.

frantically, and quite pathetically, you nodded your head.

as if he had been waiting forever to kiss you, mark crashed his lips against yours and pulled you closer to him, his thumb caressing your cheek. your eyes fluttered shut and you gripped the soft material of his sweatshirt, trying your hardest not to smile. luckily you didn’t have to worry about ruining the kiss by smiling, because mark had done it for you. you giggled against each other’s lips before pulling away and smiling at each other stupidly. mark pulled you into his chest, wrapping his arms around you and kissing the top of your head softly.

from afar, yuta smiled proudly. “i told you they’d do it. you owe me.”

johnny rolled his eyes and handed over ten dollars. “oh, shut up.”

if that ain't a magnus mood idk what the fuck is, i mean "you continue to surprise me" (and variations) is one of his recurring phrases like he truly! never expected to get a love like this! he's been abused and he's been taught he's unlovable and he's taken so much shit and suddenly he has someone who loves him so openly and adoringly and that does him so much good like!! aaaaaa??? no one's loved him quite like this and it's amazing and YES he was so lonely before, when he closed off after camille, afraid to love, afraid to feel, and yet he's been looking for exactly this and now he's found it!!

is both of them really but i think i relate to alec more like..... the way he's been hiding for so long and felt like he had to scream to be taken seriously with his family, like he was invisible, and he was expected to be, to not exist fully... and he is completely seen and understood by magnus....

and UGH for magnus everything about how he's been so afraid to share his trauma, afraid it would either drive ppl away or be used against him, and he hasn't been sharing, and now alec listens to him... and still sees him exactly as he is

and just like how he's been slowly building towards showing alec who he truly is behind all those layers of walls he has and being just .. himself. vulnerable and unpolished and even dorky at times and just finally being able to be seen as him?

and "i'm loving having you around" sounds so cute cuz like im ignoring the beginning of the song here cuz it doesnt apply but this part makes it sound like this is all so new and yeah it is? for the both of them, both in the sense that its a new experience and also just a new relationship? but they're already deep in it and like...... aaaa

And I should be studying, but here are some thoughts for season 16 so far:

(SPOILER WARNING, OBVIOUSLY)

1 - Merluca and it’s parts: COUPLES FIGHT STOP PREDICTING THE WORST OK. They’ve been completely adorable so far, but this is what someone said in a interview: “This is the after in happy ever after” (or something to that effect). They’re gonna fight and them they’re gonna make up, I hope. As for their fight: They were both in the right imo. Yes, Meredith is being inconsequent and it must be so frustrating for Deluca to A)Have her continue risking her career and license and freedom when he went to such lengths to help that, B) Be crapped on constantly bc of something your girlfriend did. Yes, Meredith is completely right in fighting the system that is so throughtly broken, and yes, coming to apologize to her mentor and longtime friend was completely the right thing to do. I wanna see merluca wedding and marriage! Maybe (since there are two pregnant people in this season already?) next season will be Mer and Jo? One can dream! For them individually: Poor Mer, she has bitten more than she can chew but she is ready to take on this fight! Imma love to see her as auntie mer! I mis merjolex so much tho, I know she’s been busy and all but they seem to forget she is a important part in their support system. Andrew has been all over the place. I love his confidence, but in the ep where he literally screamed at Bailey over her trying to teach an intern? And called her out bc she was using a different material than Mer? I was a bit off-thrown. But he’s still a great character I enjoy watching. Hope they find the balance between confidence and arrogance for him, and develop him even more!

2 - Amelink: AAAAAA. They’re so amazing and perfect and sweet and I wanna hug them both. Link is everything you could wish for, Amy is adorable as ever. If they lay a finger on either them as a couple, them as individuals, or their baby, imma kick some asses. I don’t think they will tho, Amy is been through SO MUCH already and she deserves a breath.

3 - Bailey: OMG SHE IS PREGNANT AAAAAAAA. I’m so happy! Ben is already a great dad, this will be so fun to watch! Hope they don’t put her through the ringer with a difficult pregnancy or a sick child, she does not deserve this! She already nearly lost her first child while giving birth in a bomb-y hospital while her husband had brain surgery NEXT to the bomb. Enough pregnancy drama for a lifetime. As for her actions: I’ve said before: I’m pissed, yes. She’s acting way too harsh and taking it out on people and more importantly (as I’ve touched on in my female grey’s characters ranking post) she’s out of character. Where is the Bailey that went around the hospital runnning after the attendings and kicking their asses into signing her proposal for a free clinic? And gave them a speech on how they had failed her and she needed something to believe in in medicine? She was one of the first characters to point out how broken the system was, to take direct action to try and fix it. Sure, she likes to try and work within the rules as much as possible, much she is not adverse to breaking a few of them if she thinks it’s necessary (hello deactivated HIV inside a young boy’s body without parental consent! Hello changing the date on a surgery which is also insurance fraud!)! If she thinks it’ll save a life! But also, she’s not completely wrong: Meredith did commit a crime, as good as her intentions were; As her boss, firing her was the only logical decision. She thought her hospital (which she dedicated a good half of her life to) was being attacked by someone she trained into the surgeon she is, ofc she’d be mad as all hell. Quadri was disrespectful, not doing her job well, actively getting in the way of her superior doing her job, screaming at her boss in the middle of the hallway about how she didn’t want to work there - firing her was a tad extreme (specially for a charact who has never, herself, had any qualms ahout mouthing off to her own superiors when she didn’t think something was right) but not completely out of nowhere. I hate hate hate how they’ll probs throw a “oh she was being crazy bc pregnancy hormones!” line after seeing how her actions have been badly perceived by people (like there isn’t enough a stereotype that women can’t have positions of power because hormones make them crazy) instead of “hey this character was put in extremely uncomfortable and tough positiona after extremely uncomfortable and tough positions and came off as harsher than necessary while trying to balance a world-class hospital crisis”. Ugh.

4 - Jackson: Ok so the last few eps have rekindled my love for him and I’m relieved! There’s the good, kind, funny and smart guy I like! I was mad bc of the whole Jaggie drama, but hey, shit happens! If they will be better apart, then I’m happy! (Ok 50% of this is because of what he said to levi! Stanning Meredith Grey + dorky Harry Potter reference? Yes!!!!). I hope this season will be kind on him, that he and Vicky work out well (from what I gathered about it, she has also been through a lot) and that we see more Harriet!

5 - Maggie: Baby girl. I love that they’re consistent that she has a jealous streak but is also a very good person who is always trying her best. Plus, official womb secret bearer is the best title omg! Maybe she should change from cardio to obgyn, lol! Plus, the sisters are everything to me! She instantaneous knew Amy was mad! She stood up for Mer! Aaaaa I love them!!!! Hope this show ends with all three of them happy and loved and badass as always!

6 - Others: Tom has been an.... Interesting piece. I love him, but his antics are almost caricature-esque now and it’s getting on my nerves. He was detestable in exploitating that family’s pain but also, the hospital did need a pr boost or it’d be in even hotter waters! The restraining order on Owen was a tad much bc it got in the way of patient care, but also he did get electrocuted in a very sensitive area by someone who had just gotten together with his ex - I’d be a little suspicious that it was 100% unintentional tbh. He’s power drunk and needs to be turned down a notch. Schmit and Nico and adorkable as always and I loved Nico’s speech about demanding more of himself - That’s one of the biggest traps of low self-steem and Imm glad it’s mentioned. I’ll miss Quadri. Helm being a MeredithGrey stan first and person second is still me lol. I loved how this last ep showed how much of a family they are - all the connections and shared pasts and references to relationships and what not. The “bird” storyline was so cute! Pac North seems so promissing and I’ll cry ugly tears when my baby Alex turns that ish around and shows everyone who’s boss!!!! The whole “the world is broken” theme of the season is my jam! Sadly, irl that handful of people are not gonna turn it around, but I want to see it happen on my screen! The medical system being fixed! As a future doctor (I promissed myself I’d not be the person who brings it up in every opportunity but lol here I am) it’d make me so happy! Against my better judgment, I’m liking Towen! They are trying, they’re really trying! Owen has done nothing wrong so far (besides offering to milk teddy which was just dumb, not malicious) and has been great at stepping down from his job so she could work! And him at Pac North will be great tbh - as much as I didlike him, he is an excellent doctor and strategist and he was a great chief at GS (until the last bit which was just gross negligence). From the promo for next ep: I don’t think they’ll make Webber cheat again. It’d be predictable and cheap and I’d be so mad that we’d have another round of acting like he’s a saint with a tiny issue of being a cheater. What I theorize is: He’ll have lunch with his friend, and either A) She’ll be friendly at the wrong time and Catherine will walk in and then think he’s cheating and it’ll be a mess, or B) Gemma is gonna try to get him back to drinking (Or maybe C) She was telling him to stop being bullheaded and fighting with his wife when life is so short). Cristina reference in the text omg, my heart!

NEXT PART IN THE TEAM INFODUMP: TEAM COMEBACK!! despite Team Horizons being very important, Team Comeback has pretty much all of my favourite OCs that aren’t Sik so they get a lot of focus xD;;

these guys have one big mess of a story so its. gonna be fun to untangle lmao

Aile is kinda just some random guy, like he’s the type to just show up in crowd shots to add variety? except then he got kidnapped and roboticized, but thanks to a power failure was able to escape mostly intact save for his arms and some other bits wired into him. his main goal is a) undoing that and b) finding his friend, Brooke, who was also kidnapped. he kinda comes off as “the sane one”, especially next to Vent, but that’s because out of the entire hero team he’s the most... average. he’s the Power member! because his robotic limbs give him super strength. Copy and Double are... weird. ive talked about them a bit before! Double used to work for GUN before it was wiped out by Infinite during the 6 month timeskip in Forces, and now he just kinda hangs out with Team Comeback. He likes weapons and building things, and has zero social skills. He also used to be friends with Wayne before he became Infinite, so the entirety of Forces is kinda “ouch oof my bones” for him. He’s the Custom Hero / Avatar! so he ends up being friends with Sonic and they fist bump and all that. initially it seems like he has no powers whatsoever beyond “is good at Wispons”, but it turns out he’s able to boost the powers of anybody he’s in physical contact with. it’s not something he has the hang of. Copy, meanwhile, is an AU of Double with a special interest in multiversal theory, and he managed to cross over to Chaosverse and... sort of got stuck? And by the time he actually gets in touch with people on the CV side who can help him out with that, he’s gotten attached to Team Comeback and doesn’t wanna leave. unlike Double, he has electrokinesis! or, rather, he has innate lightning magic, but magic isn’t really a thing in CV like it is in his home universe so he’s given up and just goes “yeah i have lightning powers”. he’s very very dorky and very very excitable, and likes to talk a lot and help people! honestly if Double got over his “accidental asshole” issues they’d act pretty similar lmao aaand finally, Vent! Vent is... Vent is a bucket of spoilers. Double found him when he was sent to investigate a GUN lab that was actually working for Eggman and using GUN as a cover, except by the time he got there it was already blown up and Vent was the only thing still standing. somewhat. Vent was broken. despite it being sort of a bad idea, Double fixed Vent and got a new friend out of the deal! he’s very friendly and makes a lot of bad jokes, and is also a walking superweapon along the lines of Neo Metal Sonic mixed with a Gizoid-- meaning he’s made of liquid metal and can copy+integrate abilities, fighting styles, weapons, etc after being exposed to battle data, as well as being a shapeshifter. despite being the most OP and dangerous OC in the setting, Vent’s just a chill dude with no memories of why he was built or where he comes from, and doesn’t really care about it and just wants to hang out with everybody. Later he ends up dating Aile and it’s cute.

these guys provide a Lot of the story that isnt just an adaption of the games, like obvs Double is custom hero but there’s a whole storyline about what happened to Aile, where Vent comes from, and it all links together in a really fun and cool way and. aaaaaa i love these guys THEYRE ALL DWEEBS
