MCYTs x deaf!reader

hello! very glad to write this :] just a couple quick notes:

while I do use American sign language (ASL), I am hearing and do not claim to be d/Deaf

I don't intend to overstep d/Deaf community boundaries or speak for d/Deaf people

if I do, please let me know and I'll edit and aim to do better

for American sign language (ASL) resources, I recommend Bill Vicars on youtube / lifeprint.com :]

Dream

eager to make sure ur comfy

quickest to set up adaptive things around the house

you want a notice light for the door? boom, installed

need a different smoke alarm? yep, he's got that (barely needs a stepstool to replace it, stupid tall mf /affectionate)

need more notice when he's approaching u? he's tapping the floor, flashing his phone light, w.e you need

signing:

works really hard to learn, wanting to know as much as possible, as soon as possible

def gets some things mixed up if they're similar, but if u think it's funny, he does too

example: in ASL, 'coffee' and 'making out' can get mixed up. after the first time u correct that, he'd keep switching them out just to make u laugh

Sapnap

really attentive to your cues

if he accidentally startles you once, he's making note of how to more gently alert you next time

like one time you didn't notice him come into the room, so now he taps on the floor or the furniture so you feel it, or moves until you can see him or his shadow

signing:

likes using music to practice, signing as he sings

the differing grammar can trip him up in conversation, but he's working on it

likes being able to communicate in a way that's comfy for u :]

George

always ready to fill u in if u want it

turns on captions and tells you if they got something wrong

repeats jokes if you want it

checks in with you if you ask him for clarification on anything

signing:

starts taking lessons

practices a lot - if he sees something, he's signing it to himself

like if you're at a shop together, he's signing the names of the produce or fingerspelling the brand names

likes learning the slang and memes

Quackity

checks in frequently

always asks if u want things written down

if you read lips, knows it can be difficult when ppl are masked or moving around a lot, esp if there's other stimulus

always has a notepad and his phone with him so he can jot things down if you want him to

wants to learn American sign language, Lengua de Señas Mexicana (Mexican sign language), and British sign language, and yours, if it's not one of those 3

he loves to learn new things and challenge himself

might get them mixed up sometimes, but doing pretty well, for learning 3+ languages at once

wants to know abt the d/Deaf community

really wants to be polite

like Q and George, will ask if you need anything

enables TTS and Live Transcript on his phone

if you lip-read, gets clear face masks for when masks are required

signing:

his focus shifts a lot, so he tries to learn as much in one sitting as he can

gets nervous when he signs w you, he doesn't want to mess up

likes learning the hidden meanings and jokes in signs

example: in ASL, the sign for pasteurized milk moves in front of the face - 'past-your-eyes milk'

Punz

will ask the occasional question, but not often

strikes me as someone who'd google his qs when he thinks of em

if you so much as glance at him, will ask others to repeat themselves more clearly

signing:

focuses on learning the basics and generally fills in with context clues and fingerspelling as things come up

like he'll practice the alphabet, numbers 1-20, and maybe colors

but beyond that he's prob looking at online dictionaries

after he learns a new one tho, he'll usually remember it and add it to his general practice

the first sign he surprises u with is 'cute,' just to fluster u

expect to see it a lot after that

Okay okay so its your birthdayyy and you were really excited for what to happen because you wanted to see what kind of surprise your boyfriend did for your birthday

But to your luck he forgot :(

So you spent all day giving him hints like ‘what day is it’ and at one point you gave up and started pouting really hard

And your face was just overall sad everyone else had remembered your birthday including the members, but for your boyfriend to forget it lowkey hurt

Almost half the day passed and he still didn’t remember

So you ended up going into the room by yourself and started to cry

Your whimpers got louder and louder even though you were trying your best to stay quiet so he doesn’t hear

A few minutes past by and heeseung started looking for you because he sensed something was wrong.

He looked on the calendar really really carefully and FINALLY he came to his realization that it was your birthday but it was kinda too late cuz you hid yourself in your room to cry.

You quickly got frustrated and because it was your birthday and your bf the person you love most didn’t remember really hurt

So gradually your face became wet from heated silent tears. But unlike heeseung he would super quickly notice because he’s on his phone a lot and he dates things like ‘y/ns bday’ (idk but I imagine him dating things on his phone)

He’d then be like OH SHIT ITS YN’s BD

Runs to you soooooo quick just to see your face red and a bit wet.

Once your eyes connected your tears started to come out quicker

He literally runs up to you to hug you HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING I LOVE YOU SO MUCH IM SO SORRY I FORGOT

After he said that he ran away from you leaving you alone, which made your heart drop thinking that he didn’t care.

But once you finally came out of your room you were greeted with a homemade delicious cake your boyfriend made for you that looked like this

You could tell he felt really bad bc usually he always had a smile on his face while cooking but this time it was a ‘I’m sorry’ face

You obviously forgave him because you know it was never his intention to forget,,, “you owe me hugs and kisses for the rest of the day :(“ kindly accepts your request because that is something he’d never complain about #freecuddlesfromyn

Idk if he’s the type to forget but like jay I don’t think he’d forget

I feel like to him birthdays are the MOST special thing/ date for a person

Like obviously the rest of the members think that but especially sunoo really like sticks to this

So if he had forgotten your birthday you were sooo hurt you ignored him the whole day keeping your distance until he finally remembered

Once he remembered he went to go find you ASAP where you were hiding int he corner of the bedroom moping

He showers you with hugs cuddles kisses pecks, you name it he does it

He feels so bad that he could forget smtg like this, literally asks himself how he could forget such an important date

If the convenience store was still open he’d run to the nearest store and surprise you with a birthday cake. But not just any cake it’d be a cake that was decorated by the one and only Kim Sunoo

Would prepare it so nicely and even have a lit up candle so you can wish on it.

the type to surprise you with it even though he forgot. Brings it to your room while singing the hbd song.

“Hmm wednesday?” He said looking up at you with a calm face

Your happy smile soon became a little pout

“Isn’t it just a regular Wednesday? Why is there something special?”

oh my- he broke your heart right then and there

You run back into your room because you feel heated tears about to fall, even though it was something small the thought of him not remembering your birthday the day of your birth hurt. A little.

Jungwon was actually super clueless he genuinely didn’t know what day it is but something about you seemed off and the way you ran to your room was quite odd to him so he went and followed you

Before he opened the door he already heard small whimpers from the corner of the bed, and that immediately triggered him and he was about to beat up anyone that made you feel sad 😠 little did he know it was him who made you feel that way

“Baby what’s wrong? Why are you crying”

He holds your chin and turns it to get a better look

wiping your tears with his thumb, you were being a dramatic his giggles make you feel a bit better even though you were mad at him for forgetting

“You forgot my birthday.” You said to him while crying

You can literally see the gears in his brain start to turn when his face went from 😄 -> 😳

“IM SO SORRY IM SO SORRY” hugs you so tight that you literally can’t breathe

Doesn’t know what to do to make you feel better, “I’m really sorry for forgetting your birthday, I don’t really know what got into me, please forgive me.”< cue the cutest kitty puppy eyes

He kept on rambling on abt how he was sorry and deserves your forgiveness you literally had to shut him up, he was sorry please forgive him >~<

Cuddles you for the rest of the day

Niki :

He was playing video games normally on his phone, until you excitedly stormed into his room “hiiiii babbbbyyyy”

“Well someone is happy today :)”

“Well of course bc u know what day it isss ;)”

“Wednesday?”

😧😦 < that’s what you looked like when he didn’t know, “you really don’t remember?”

“hmm I’m not too sure” he said before going back to his game

you slowly became disappointed and just ‘celebrated’ your birthday by yourself in the kitchen. :,((

he didn’t notice that you were sad at first bc he was busy playing on his phone, around an hour later he went to the kitchen to get a snack when he sees you in the kitchen staring into space rested your chin on you arm.

‘Are you okay? You seemed fine earlier’

You decided to play the silent game and just avoided him... so he tried to get you to talk to him but after a while it didn’t work so he sort of gave up and went to ask his hyungs what’s wrong with you.

“Niki,,, it’s y/n’s birthday omg did you forget??????” Jake said texting niki

and that’s when the lightbulb in his brain turned on

He rushed to the kitchen and back hugged you so tight and gave you so many cheekie kissies to try and make up for ‘forgetting’

But to his luck you were still mad at him

Soooo he came up with the idea of going to the convenience store really quick to get you a bunch of flowers and a nice cake to surprise you~

You ended up forgiving him because he was tickling you threatening you to forgive him

Idk if this is possible or not or if you've done it already but could you list all the rainbow references in the show?

Haha- talk about pandora’s box. Sure, personally i think the rainbows have multiple meanings -3 meanings to to be exact

1) Rainbows being associated with psychics + Will’s powers plot twist

*We see in the stranger thing novel 'suspicious minds' when overusing powers you may hallucinate rainbows (which are also associated with the void/ monsters in the series) .

Terry: “Spots bloomed behind her eyelids. Every color … as the sunlight turned to rainbows” ( p44-45), “streaks of rainbow appeared (p47)”,“The rainbow stayed with Terry for a long while, but eventually it faded and in its place: darkness. A pit.”(p. 48).

Alice (who sees visions of the future) : “Snarling, snapping monsters,RAINBOW LIGHTS playing in the air around them” (p. 121).

cough Will being in the upsidedown/being chased by “monsters”. And Joyce communicating with Will via “rainbow lights.”

The rainbow room (from s2) also has a rainbow on the door- according to the novel kali drew that rainbow. Similar to Will's rainbow drawing. Kali in the book also creates a rainbow allusion with sunflowers (Terry ref).

Kali: “field of yellow sunflowers grew up around them. A rainbow arcing over the golden tops.” (p. 139). “He noticed she’d drawn up there, a rainbow with her colored pencils. Maybe he’d suggest that for the playroom” (the rainbow room we see in s2) (p. 298)

I also already talked about how Terry saying "breath, sunflower, rainbow " is actually a reference to s1 Will- here (in link including pic of Will and Terry being told to “breath”.

*El in s3 also thinks of papa, her mother , and the rainbow room- cause she sees a cereal box with a rainbow (on it).

Dustin and susie sing a song from the film adaption of the book "never ending story". Which indicates how Will is subconsciously creating the supernatural creatures & people in the series . Before they sing, we also see susie is next to a ‘wizard of oz’ posters & she reads & talks to Dustin about the book "wizard of earthsea'. 2 of the 3 examples have rainbow-related songs (in their film adaptions) & all 3 hint at Will’s powers.

* wizard of earthsea:

It’s about a pre-teen wizard named Ged who has a bowl cut (Will) who casts a powerful spell, but the spell goes awry and instead he releases a shadow creature (by opening a portal between the living & dead- Will is a zombie boy remember?)! The new Archmage, Gensher, describes the shadow as an ancient evil that wishes to possess Ged. But the ‘shadow’ turns out to be a representation of the darkest aspects of his personality. It’ only when he calls the shadow monster by his own name “Ged”(cough mf=will the wise) does the monster stop acting out. The only way to save the world is for ged to then merge with the shadow(and for Ged to accept himself-and “become whole”).This also reminds me of the “Jungian shadow”

* never ending story:

Bastian ( who has a bowl cut- and is from single parent house hold) subconsciously creates a fantasy world being over run by darkness (symbolizing the loss of hope and dreams). One of the characters he creates is Atreyu (El). Atreyu ( was the child deemed the ‘chosen one). “Atreyu is knocked into the sea of possibilities. There he wakes on the shore of abandoned ruins. And Gmorick (mindflayer) then latches his jaws onto Atreyu’s (El’s) leg.”Pretty much what happened to El.”The Empress in the story later tells Atreyu, that despite being told he was the chosen one (he never was). And that it was always Bastian (Will) who was the chosen one-since his imagination created Fantasia (so he’s the only way to stop the darkness from over -running it).”

Will has mental health issues and accidentally writes a “story” about the shadow monster (reflecting his tra*ma). Bastian is depressed (over his parent) and subconsciously creates a story about darkness over-running everything. Like how Hopper describes his depression- like a black hole.

song Dustin & Susie sing:

“DREAM a dream. And what you DREAM will be” ( Will’s imagination making his nightmares come true)

“Rhymes that keep their secrets Will unfold behind the clouds.And there upon a RAINBOW Is the answer to a never ending story.”

(the lyric “rhymes that keep their SECRETS” purposely pans to Will both times the song is sung). Because the ‘SECRET’ is -he’s causing everything. And thus he’s the only way to stop it- or they’ll all be stuck in a never-ending story. The only way to stop it is for Will to face his shadow/the mindflayer (aka the other Will) who is always shown within the STORM CLOUDS . Will needs to create a RAINBOW (out of those storm clouds). Like rainbows that show up AFTER a storm.He’d do this by accepting himself , his tra*ma/mental health relating to his dad, and or his gay identity- then the story will be able to end.Dustin even says “ defeat his RAINBOW of DARKNESS” (and later says a “rainbow is the answer ”(to the story). st book:”The RAINBOW stayed with Terry for a long while, but eventually it faded and in its place: DARKNESS. A pit.”AKA: Will has to face his symbolic darkness and the storm/and than create a rainbow from it- for the story to end...

When Dustin says ‘rainbow of darkness’ he talks about my little pony- where one of their friends became a dragon. in d&d wizards can become dragons &Bastian also summons a dragon with his imagination powers in ‘never ending story’. And Will is associated with dragons: s1he has dragon comic & drawing, s2 Will has dragon poster in his room + watches his friends play dragon game. And again... dungeons & dragons.

Also tw for s.a/parental ab*se (so skip to ‘wizard of oz’ if you prefer ). In the 4th book of wizard of Eathsea (20 years after the original, where ged was the protagonist). The new main protagonist - was r*ped and burned by her father as a child (and in the sequel she became a dragon as a form of empowerment ). which goes with my lonnie theory-sadly.

*wizard of oz:

it’s about a Dorothy creating a mythical world based on people she both likes and dislikes . Dorothy sings in the movie a song about a ‘RAINBOW’ and references ‘DREAMS’ coming true in a mythical land -much like the ‘never ending story’ song (referencing “rainbows”/”dreams” coming to life).

“There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby Somewhere over the RAINBOW, Skies are blue, And the DREAMS that you dare to dream, really do come true...”

We see in s1 Hopper cop-partner calls the lab “emerald city”. Murray in s2 says people “don’t want to look behind the curtain” (to see what’s causing the supernatural -in the film what was literally behind the curtain was a wizard-cough like Will). We also have -lion, tiger, and bear stuffed animals (as a ‘lion, and tigers, and bears-oh my!’ quote )from the film. And David harbor (Hopper) when referencing the s4 rainbow room (quotes the song) and he also quotes a speech from Dorothy-when posting about the cabin the mindflayer destroyed.

2) Rainbow cups (hinting at Lonnie’s return)

We see 2 rainbow cups in the series.

in s2) when Mike & Will are sitting together & saying they’re “crazy together” . This cup next to them says “happy birthday” in rainbow. Later that season- they talk about Will’s birthday-rainbow drawing, Mike&Will meeting & Lonnie leaving. And in s2, we also see in Will’s room a card that says “sorry, I forgot your birthday”(most likely from Lonnie). So both Lonnie & Mike are associated with Will’s bday.

in s3) We see a woman yell “I don’t want her in my house!” (while she sits next to a rainbow cup). reminiscent of Joyce saying to Lonnie “get out of my house”. We also know there are rumors s4 takes place during Will’s birthday & Lonnie’s actor may have been spotted on set. Along with the fact (it’s pretty much confirmed) Mike will be visiting the Byers in s4. However, the woman (next to the rainbow cup) also says “2 visitor only. 2!″

THE 2 VISITORS ARE MIKE &LONNIE (for Will’s b day).

Also, in s3, when El is drinking from cup- she sees a rainbow. And what’s the first word she thinks of? “Papa.”

so rainbow+cup= shitty dads (lonnie & brenner) probably returning

*And of course if that’s the case -Lonnie (the same guy who called Will h*mophobic sl*rs) will not be supportive of Mike & Will’s “friendship”. And will not be nice to Mike (to say the least). Like... imagine Hopper in s3 - but we know he’s not bluffing and the audience won’t have the option to take it as a joke... and yes the s4 movies hint at that...

3) gay symbolism

First we have Mike wheeler. He in s1 has rainbows sheets, rainbow bedroom blinds , and in his basement there’s a heart propelled by a rainbow. This is like how in s3 Mike kisses El and there is a drawing that says "Mike'. And on the drawing is a heart propelled by a rainbow. I already explained how its symbolic of him trying to be straight/fighting his feelings for Will, but wherever he goes a rainbow still follows (even when he tries being romantic with El). He’s trying to hide his “rainbow heart” by dating El- why in s3 (the rainbow-heart in his basement) mysteriously disappeared from his room (but a similar symbol follows Mike even when he kisses El).

Even in s2 when talking about Will (in the AV tech room): Mike is placed in the center of 2 objects : an object with 11 on it & on the right a rainbow apple (this apple is supposed to be an ode to the gay father of computers- but also about the forbidden apple). Hinting at the love triangle of Mike (with El/Will). PLUS, in the ST book ‘worlds turned upsidedown’ they literally show Mike in the AV room- and put the caption “FALLING IN LOVE- with tech” (and placed rainbow flags next to the caption). And of course we have Mike & Will pose next to the rainbow apple- in the AV room.

We also see when Mike and Will says they’re “crazy together” (aka LOVE-as Flo stated) and they’re next to a rainbow cup that says Happy birthday .

And later that season they ref the rainbow ship Will drew for his birthday-which Joyce was "proud" of. And while dancing with a girl (Will according to the script was looking at Mike instead of her) . That girl is wearing a rainbow heart hair pin. This is essentially a parallel to Mike . Will (next to a rainbow heart) is dancing with a girl, but is secretly thinking of Mike. Mike (next to a rainbow heart) is kissing el but secretly thinking of Will (and immediately goes on a movie double date with Will after this). The lyrics of both these scenes indicate they're not happy pretending to be straight. The lyrics for Will are "every smile you fake". And Mike while kissing el is "just a little uncertainty can bring you down" (and during this lyric is when El puts her hands on him-and he removes her hands from him *aka he’s not as confident in the relationship as he pretends to be.

We see in s4 bts that the rainbow heart hair pin (worn by the girl Will dances with) is also worn by nancy while standing next to Robin (who is gay). So being near a ‘rainbow-heart’ is prob a hint a character is gay. Aka robin & Will & Mike.

tumblr user “awhstrangerthings” pointed out the nancy -hair clip detail.

In s1 when troy is calling Will h*mophobic sl*rs (in front of Mike) he wears a rainbow shirt. And max while often critiquing m*leven (in s3) (to Mike) often wears rainbow shirts. I talked about how I thought Troy and max subconsciously remind Mike he isn't straight - so they're associated with the rainbow iconography-post here. Like we see Max with rainbow sheets (like Mike) and than she immediately talks to him on the phone. I mean she could be queer- but I lean to that theory at the moment.

The whole being near rainbows when associating with a queer character makes sense (it’s like a ‘gay-dar”). Similar to Nancy’s hair clip when being near Robin/ that Girl having the same rainbow hair clip when dancing with Will. If we assume this theory than see a pattern with other characters (when speaking about/being near queer coded characters)....

it’s similar to how : When lucas (via subtext) criticizes m*leven- he is also next to a rainbow (in Erica's room). I explained here- why it’s about m*leven.

or when Jonathan says he’s going to hang out with Will (it’s near a rainbow).

This Jonathan moment -Is similar to when Steve ( who has a rainbow bandaid-from the Byers’ house) calls Mike “Nancy” (which is slang for a gay guy)

*another addition: you see in the comments of this post ghostgirlsatin mentioned Dart has a rainbow blanket. But, I noticed a couple of other things.

notice Dustin says "we have to talk- its about my friend ,Will". As Dustin is near rainbow lights and a rainbow bed sheet. Like how

A) rainbows are associated with the supernatural creatures + Will

B) rainbow lights associated with Will

C) rainbows near straight characters when talking about /near queer characters... similar to how Jonathan is near a rainbow when talking about Will

*also can’t tell if that is a ‘rainbow ship’ poster?

We also see Erica has a sunflower & rainbow drawing in her room... at the moment not sure if its just a random easteregg , foreshadowing something supernatural we're not aware of yet? or just for the m*leven diss?

(although given the fact i think some characters were created by Will- and given all the Max &Billy/Will & jonathan parallels ... the rainbow stuff may be a hint Will created them? I mean they even made a Troy comic just to show his dad is a bully.) But, at the moment, i still lean to (some) characters having rainbow iconography because they’re referring to/are near a queer character.

“You want to know why I was so mad?” He wraps his arms around your waist and brings you into his chest, laying you down on top of him.

“Why?” You ask cautiously and continue to stare him in the eye.

I wanna touch on you. You send Oikawa a picture of yourself as you lay back on your bed, your mind ruled with boredom. The curiosity of how Oikawa would react keeps clouding your mind. Before you even get a second to take the next picture Oikawa has already snapped you back.

You click on the little red square and screenshot the mirror picture Oikawa sent you. His back is arched like he is trying to break it and his head is tilted at an odd angle. You see me in my room.

You barely get enough time to screenshot the picture before Oikawa sends another. This time when you open it, it is him and Matsukawa. It’s another mirror pic and their hands are curved into little hearts. Wish you were here right now.

You decided to let Oikawa take over the challenge and just wait patiently for his next snap, each picture he sends gathers more people. In this snap, it is him, Matsukawa and Hanamaki. It’s just a simple selfie with all of them cheesing like the dorks that they are. All of the things I’d do.

In the back of your mind, you start to wonder where Iwaizumi is. The next picture comes just as quickly as the first three and this time, it is just Oikawa and Iwaizumi. Mainly Oikawa with Iwaizumi in the back trying to practice his serve. I wanna get freaky on camera.

The next photo doesn’t come for another ten minutes, this time it is a Hanamaki centered photo. It’s a selfie with his bright smile and in the background, Oikawa is getting smack upside the head by Iwaizumi. I love when we get freaky on camera. ;-)

“Please, Kiyoomi.” You whine and stare at your boyfriend with puppy dog eyes. Sakusa dips his dark-haired head and stares at you back, his face emotionless. He sighs and goes back to scrolling through his phone. “Please do the tiktok trend with me or at least pretend to react.” You beg and Sakusa refrains from rolling his eyes, he glances at you once more and nods his head.

“Fine.” At his words you reach up and kiss his temple, your heart flutters when Sakusa leans into your touch. “What do I do?”

“Okay, so I am going to send you some snaps and you just have to send your reaction to me back in a snap.” You explain and Sakusa purse his lips into a little pout.

“Why do I have to do this?” He asks and you lay back to take your first snap.

“Because you love me~”

Much to your dismay, your answer is met with silence.

After you send the pictures you watch your boyfriend with hawk eyes at how he reacts. His face doesn’t change at all. He tilts his head in curiosity at one of the pictures and you note how he screenshots every single one of them. Sakusa glances at you and when you eagerly nod back at him he sends you a reply, a simple picture of his face and his familiar mask covering more than half of it.

The photo has a simple caption, busu.

“Can I post your picture?” You ask and Sakusa sighs, it’s not like it’s going to blow up right?

“Yes.”

Wrong choice Sakusa. The tiktok does blow up, and it’s only because all the comments are filled with how hot Sakusa is despite only being able to see his eyes and up.

When she first dropped the album, I knew this one was going to make my top ✭ ✭ ✭ ✭ ✭ . The chorus is incredibly catchy, and she wrote a great bridge !!! (y’all know those are hard to come by these days). This is a fresh, playful track perfect for the summer, whether you have a boo to sing about, or not. It’s my favorite from this project, and not even her best ! I’m so glad she’s finally getting the love she deserves :)

I had these lyrics memorized by the third listen. THATS how much I adore this song. My new favorite genre is sad boy hyper-rap 😍. The best part of this process is discovering new voices, and midwxst did not disappoint. The lyrics are relatable enough to scream along in the car, the beat makes you want to dance even against your will, and the bass sounds amazing when you’re trying to drown out your tears. Also, great replay value.

You have no idea how hard it was for me to not put half of this album on the mix 🤧 Lucky MF Daye supplied us with hit after hit on tracks 1 thru 7 (idk why it fell off after that the way it did but that’s beside my point) As far as why this song made it not only on the mix but the top ✭ ✭ ✭ ✭ ✭ as well is because there’s something about it that scratches an itch i never knew I had. Its almost timeless, I feel like i’ll be able to play this a few years from now and still fawn at his falsetto. His voice is like butter and the song itself is like a beautiful slice of freshly baked sourdough bread. I found myself singing it all week at work. And he showed us a bit of range, which i’m always appreciative of . 10/10 for sure !

⭐️ Bad News / Buddy

This whole album was unskippable perfection. This album is the reason this playlist took so long to wrap up. I can honestly say it’s not the best song on the album (the man has a T-Pain feature, hello!?!!?), but the one I adore the most. I’ve loved everything Buddy has done, even as OverDoz, but I was definitely surprised by how seamless this project sounds. There isn’t a second you aren’t aware that you’re listening to a West Coast artist, especially when he can perfectly string together a story over a beachy pop beat. This is the only song I want playing while i’m riding down PCH in a candy red drop top (is that too specific? Do y’all even know what PCH is? Anyway) Nothing but head banging, steering wheel slapping, Malibu surfer dude realness. The vibe is truly impeccable. It’s like an audible high speed early 90’s car chase. Fun, fresh, but still some real ghetto LA shit. Buddy is, once again, ahead of the curve and I don’t even think his peers are on the same track.

Mother Mycelium Theory; portal to the Otherworld?

MFS Research Institute is open and we have patches! Make sure to use the hashtag #MFS Research Institute when sharing all of your well crafted theories and investigations so everyone can follow along.

When I first posted the crack theory about Mother Mushroom, I captioned the screen shot of the Necro Mycelium with “The entrance to The Upside Down, probably”. Now, this was meant to be a joke but perhaps it was unintentionally accurate? What exactly is the Mycelium and how may it come into play? Let’s discuss a possibility below.

The thing is, MFS has now established that Mushrooms are very important to witches in this universe; especially Necros. This is first brought to light by Scylla in the graveyard but now Izadora confirms this in the Necro Mausoleum. I’m not going to write about mushrooms here because others already have (here is a great breakdown) but I think we can all agree that Necros have a special relationship with fungi; perhaps as a conduit to channel the resonance of the dead.

If you come to my office, I’ll make you cream of mushroom soup

So here is where my upside-down joke may have stumbled unintentionally onto something. Throughout different mythologies there are Underworlds or Otherworlds that heroes travel through during their odysseys. In order to reach these worlds, the hero needs to travel through some sort of gateway. I’m not convinced that the Mycelium is a gateway to an Underworld because of its fungal nature. I am unaware of a Greek or Roman myth associating mushrooms with an odyssey to the Underworld and journeys there typically require crossing a body of water. Mushrooms instead seem to be very prevalent in European folklore as a source of power and connection to magic. Regardless of origin and culture, however, one thing is prevalent when it comes to mushrooms: they are often associated with hallucinogenic properties and are therefore utilized for visions (by a religious figure head or oracles for example) or that they can be used to enter a spirit realm to commune with the dead.

Therefore, is it possible that the Mycelium is a gateway to the Otherworld; the Orbis Alius? In Celtic mythology, the Otherworld is a place where souls of the dead travel while they wait to be reincarnated or the in between (or limbo) before moving to their final destination. It is a dimensional plane that contains a high concentration of power and magic where the rules of physics may not apply. The Necros in MFS may therefore use this gateway to amplify their connection to the resonance of the dead such that the dead being in closer dimensional proximity to their own plane may aid them in their work. Together with the visionary implications of fungi and mushrooms, this could suggest a potential dreamscape/lucid dream/vision scenario for Raelle due to her connection with the Mycelium.

I could make so many lesbian jokes but I’ll withhold… for now

Aside. Since Scylla has mentioned that “nothing ever really dies” it is possible that in this universe, reincarnation may be a widely accepted belief. This may suggest that my original theory about “resurrecting” Willa Collar may still be plausible (especially now that we know the Mycelium has a memory of a Collar). I’m not unconvinced that this connection won’t serve as a way for Raelle to communicate with her Collar ancestors at some point if they are themselves in the Otherworld.

Me after I’ve been in quarantine for 5 weeks

Yes, Necros have a connection to mushrooms. And now we know that the Mycelium has a memory of Raelle. This was obviously something that Izadora DID NOT want to have happen. We also know that there is a metaphysical connection between Raelle and Scylla; Scylla has bound herself to Raelle in some way such that she can communicate with her directly. Now listen, this is not some small piece of work. In ‘My Witches’, the only way Alder and Co. can visualize the Kiev raid is through General Clary’s [metaphysical] connection with her daughter. Therefore, this type of connection (where one witch can communicate with another witch almost telepathically) suggests a bond of a different strength. This also implies that Raelle is now Scylla’s family (another theory which I am very fond of).

In terms of additional context clues for episode 7, in several different trailers (including the most recent one for ‘Mother Mycelium’), we see a moment when Raelle wakes up rather suddenly, looking as though she was bursting out of a dream or had a sudden realization. She is wearing a grey sleep shirt.

When you remember you left a NSFW post up on your work computer

This appears to be the same shirt she is wearing in the promo pics with her in the Dungeon with Scylla. Two things stick out to me from the following photos:

1) Raelle appears to be asleep or unconscious, with Scylla attempting to get her attention 2) Raelle is unbound and alone in the Dungeon with Scylla

Now, no well-structured military body would EVER lock two hostages in the same dungeon together but especially if they have a relationship such as that between Raelle and Scylla. This show is too intelligent to play into the “they’re locked in a cell together; I wonder what will happen?” fanfiction trope (there’s a prompt, someone go write it). Further, if Raelle WAS a hostage, she also would have been chained and bound. So, for these reasons, together with the context any mythological clues above, I think we are perhaps getting a glimpse at a dreamscape.

EDIT: The final piece of evidence is actually one of the first we ever received. A line of dialogue and later a clip from a trailer where Scylla says “You have no idea how powerful you are”. From this trailer, we can now see that Scylla says this while she is in the dungeon.

Oh darling, you make me powerless...

It is likely she is speaking to Raelle in this moment because 1) Anacostia has told Scylla directly that she is a gifted student, 2) Abigail has acknowledged she is naturally gifted (and will be seeking her help to save Khalida), 3) We see her use intense power in training (the storm she brews when fighting Abigail, vocal, wind strike training, her power with the scourge, her healing leveling the entire class), and 4) The Spree want to extract Raelle, perhaps because of her power. No one else has been made out to be this powerful contextually yet so we can infer that Scylla is talking to Raelle. So somehow, Raelle ends up in the dungeon, and likely utilized a lot of power to do so. End EDIT.

Raelle, through her metaphysical connection with Scylla and their physical connections to the Mycelium, may enter the Otherworld and be able to travel through this dimensional plane and commune with Scylla. So, is that the real Raelle? I think perhaps it is, but in a metaphysical way.

However, I am not convinced that all of the promotional photos are from the same scene. Scylla is being tortured in one. Raelle looks like she is being dragged into the dungeon in another. I’m not sure how these all fit together but @pure-gay-fandom-trash and I have a hunch that the release of all of these photos serves to throw us off our predictions due to the lack of context. So it is very possible that there may in fact be a faux Raelle scenario as well (which I’ll discuss in more detail in a separate post).

EDIT: All this being said, the fact that Scylla directly states that mushrooms occupy the underworld in the kingdom of plants does suggest the existence of an actual Underworld in this universe. It could be that the Otherworld is the space in between (limbo) or it could be that Eliot is creating an entirely new mythology which I am totally here for.

I’ve been obsessed with @theboystv on Amazon for the past few months. I found it during quarantine and fell in love. One, it is an ugly reflection of our society and totes what would happen if superheroes were real. Two, Frenchie and Kimiko are my favorite TV couple. Three, Frenchie is queer af, fight me on that. So, since I’ve been writing grad school applications, here’s an essay on why Frenchie is a queer mf. There will be three posts because the essay won’t fit in one caption. As someone who identifies as pan, I’m thrilled to have what I consider a poly pan character on screen. @tomerkappon @lazofficial @theboystv

* In series 1, we learn that Frenchie’s father tried to smother him with a Hello Kitty duvet. Frenchie never talks about a sibling, so we assume this duvet is his.

* Series 1, episode 4, in the van outside of the noodle place, after MM gets off the phone with his wife, he says to Frenchie “Say something.” To which Frenchie says “You know, Jean-Paul Sartre says marriage stifles our essential male urges.” MM says “Jean-Paul Sartre also died an old, lonely motherfucker. Not to mention his girl was shacking up with some other dude.” And Frenchie says “Uh, oui. They were free to explore.” Frenchie seems to have the attitude that relationships do not have to be exclusively between two people. Also, the connotation of the word “explore” may also be a reference to exploring one’s sexuality beyond the confines of heterosexual monogamy. Frenchie’s attitude toward poly relationships makes a reappearance in series 2, episode 6.

* In the same scene, MM asks Frenchie, “Why work so motherfucking hard if you don’t have somebody to go home to and sleep next to at night?” To which Frenchie replies “Well, I go to sleep next to someone different every night.” Frenchie doesn’t say “woman,” “lady,” or any other gendered language. He uses “someone” specifically because as we find out, he was in a poly relationship, and he is pansexual or otherwise queer.

* Series 2, episode 1, we see Frenchie wearing a lovely crop top! Dear, @theboystv and @tomerkappon, more of Frenchie in crop tops, please!

* In the most recent episode (S2, E6), during the flashback, we see that when Frenchie is talking about his friends, Cherie and Jay, being the Golden Girls. He says that Cherie is his Blanche. And Jay is “my Dorothy.” I mean, LOOK AT FRENCHIE AND HOW HE IS LOOKING AT JAY. That ain’t so friendship smile and love eyes - that’s a “I love you as a partner” smile and twinkle. Also, in the same scene, Cherie interjects with an agreement and says “‘Cause you’re a little gay.” In this moment, Frenchie’s hand is on Jay’s face in a romantic way - like the way in which you place your hand on a partner’s face just before you kiss. Also, Jay’s hand is reaching up for Frenchie as Cherie kisses the top of Jay’s head. Jay’s hand is on Frenchie’s face and what looks like gently touching his lips. This is a romantic gesture between the two. In regards to Cherie’s comment, Jay smiles and says “Yes.” Frenchie does not object to Cherie’s comments. I contend they were a thruple - a polyamorous relationship together.

* We see Frenchie helping Cherie and Jay during Jay’s overdose, Cherie asks “More important than us?” as he says he has to leave. The word “us” implies that they - the three of them are in a relationship. If Cherie were just concerned about Jay, she would have said “More important than Jay” or “your friend.” Us also has the connotation of the relationship “us” - the “we need to have a conversation about us” us.

* During the love sausage dick scene, when they realize it was a dick that had itself wrapped around MM’s neck, MM says “Was that--?” and Frenchie says “It’s okay.” MM then says “That’s his fucking dick.” And then Frenchie says “Don’t be so close-minded,” as he emphatically shrugs off MM’s comment.

* When Frenchie talks about Jay, he calls him his “best friend.” However, when he begins, he says, “My, uh…” he pauses, he thinks a moment, scratches his head, squints, screws up his face, and then begins again “My best friend OD’d and I left to save him that night.” While this pause could be interpreted as him gaining the courage to even talk about this, but I think it was him deciding on whether to say “partner” or “boyfriend” or “best friend.” The pause along with the facial movements and gestures suggest he is thinking about something - and I think it was what label to use for Jay.

Anyone else have any other moments where we see Frenchie’s queerness?

Also, Tomer said in an interview “No, but I do want to say something about something we’re going to find out in season two, and that’s definitely about Frenchie’s sexuality. [Laughs] I’m not positive, you know, he loves… well, if females is the right word. Frenchie loves everything!” So, from the actor who plays Frenchie, he says “Frenchie loves everything!” Everything - he does not see gender - he is gender-blind to who he loves and the types of relationships he has. So, I will die on the hill that Frenchie is a polyamorous pansexual criminal mastermind. And he has my heart.

You decided it’d be best to give him your gift outside of camp. You both had just finished scouting out a job, the sun resting high in the afternoon sky. It’s rays melted through your clothing, coating your skin in a growing layer of sweat. With a sigh, you look longingly at Flat Iron Lake, whose water you could see gleaming through the trees.

It’s on account of your invitation to go cool off at the shore of the lake, and you’re not surprised that the bulky cowboy next to you agreed almost immediately. He adjusted his gamblers hat, spurring his horse through a nebulous trail through the brush. You followed his lead, as you usually did.

Soon enough, you’re both chilling on the shore, boots long ago kicked off and pants rolled up. The water lapped up at your legs, creating a chill that rolled from your feet all the way up to your shoulders. A wonderful breeze kicks through the air, and it's now when you’re both in pure bliss to give him his gift. Your hand fumbled in your pant pocket, fingers squeezing around the object in an act to reassure yourself before you presented it to him with a smile.

He’ll hold the gift extremely gently, fingers carefully wrapping around it as he turns it in his large hand. His silence worries you for just a second, and you’re just about getting ready to regret every single action in your life leading up to this moment. In reality, though, Arthur’s still reeling in the fact that out of everyone in the goddamn camp, you decided to give him a gift.

You shift your posture to divert your gaze to the water in front of you. The sun glistened off the lake, light rolling in symphony with the rhythm of the waves. The shaded spot you two were sat together in provided a wonderful paradise from the rest of the world, and, as you take a deep breath, you relish in the feeling. You shift your eyes to his again, delighted to see that he met your gaze this time.

His eyes almost seem to twinkle when his gaze falls into yours, and his hesitant, heavy hand comes to rest on your shoulder gently, as if he was afraid that if he rested the full weight of his hand on you you’d sink into the ground. He then proceeds with the goofiest, most sweet smile on his face to say,

“I.. well this is beautiful, Y/N. Thank you.”

You don’t think you’ve smiled so hard in your life.

After that encounter, Arthur will absolutely agonize over what to get you back. Every time he rides out of camp, his mind is extremely distracted by what to give you. He cherishes your gift nearly every day, so he wants to get you something you’ll like nearly as much.

Oh, and he’d definitely sketch your gift in his journal too, with a typical Arthur™ caption that’d say something along the lines of, “So, Y/N gifted me something today. Still making up my mind about what to gift her back”

When he finally does get you something, you can tell he put a lot of thought into it. It’s most likely something that no one else would think to get you, such as a secret hobby you divulge in or something you’ve secretly been yearning to buy for yourself for a while.

Whenever he sees you using what he got for you, it’s insanely difficult to hide the proud smile and blush that coats his features. You both will definitely tease each other about your reactions.

Dutch Van Der Linde

It’s a relatively cool evening when you decide that the moment is right to give Dutch your gift. You had chosen it out for him very carefully, and now that it was time to actually give it to him, your heart hammered painfully against your rib cage. Whenever your eyes drifted to his encapsulating figure by the docks a wildfire erupted on your cheeks, which very quickly spread to your ears.

“You fool..” You whisper to yourself, kicking your boot into the ground before making your way over to the man. Your balance teetered a bit, as if even your body considered this action a bad idea.

When you first appear next to him, he doesn’t think much of it. It was almost routine for you both to stand on the docks of Clemens Point, basked in the moonlight, thoughts silently being swallowed by the lake. However, what he didn’t expect was for you to hold out a gift and, very adorably, go into a ramble about it.

Oh boy, without a doubt this is an ego boost for him. However, don’t think for a second that he doesn’t genuinely appreciate your efforts.

He’ll hold your gift in his hands with remarkable thoughtfulness, a ghost of a smile passing his lips. His eyes are uncharacteristically soft, and it reminds you of the way you catch him looking at Hosea from time to time.

That softness, though it was a treasure to see, is only there for a passing second though. Almost immediately, he’ll get the most shit-eating grin on his face and purr, “Well… ain’t this fine.”

Goosebumps almost immediately raise on your skin, sending a shiver through your bones. Instinctively, you clasp your hands behind your back, tipping back on the heel of your boots to take a step back from his looming presence.

“It’s okay, Dutch? I just- I know you do so much and…” The shaky, undecided sentence you started trails off almost as soon as his deep, commanding eyes make eye contact with you. Your hands tighten around each other, as if that will provide any comfort for your nervousness in the moment.

Whilst maintaining eye contact, he plucks your arm from your side, running his hand down your arm to your slightly shaky hand before taking it into his and very gently raising it to brush his lips past your knuckles. His mustache tickled the skin there, sending flashes of what felt like lightning where the bristles of hair touched. The smooth fucker.

Heartily chuckling, he encapsulates his hand over yours in an instant. The size difference alone is enough to get you shifting in your boots. “Of course, Y/N. I appreciate… the faith you’ve kept in me. This…” With his other hand he holds up your gift to eye level, momentarily drifting his eyes to it as if it was a prized jewel. “This is magnificent, my dear.”

He’s definitely going to get you some type of jewelry or at least something that you’d be able to wear. He loves seeing you walk past him to get something, only to freeze and almost proudly look into his eyes when he points out that you’re wearing his gift.

When you pop up by his side one night at the campfire, he’s not too surprised. Although you two didn’t talk too much, there’s always been a silent agreement that you guys sit at the campfire together. Whether it be to listen to him play guitar, or to sit silently whilst lounging in the fire’s warmth, the comfort of on another was always something to look forward to at the end of a long day.

When you present it to him his lips immediately shift into a smile, and he looks up into your eyes with such a soft expression. The orange hues of the fire light danced along the features of his face, adding to the warmth of the occasion.

“For me, hermosa? You’re too kind.”

He’ll look over what you gave him for a few seconds, his smile never leaving his face as he takes it into his hands. He shifts his sitting position in order to get a better look at what you gave him, his eyes dancing over it as if it was the most beautiful object in the world.

Tentatively, you ask if he likes it. Your hands fidget a little bit, and ever so slightly you shift so that you’re a little farther apart. If he didn’t like it, your plan was to wither into the dirt.

“Do I like it? Querida... I love it! Thank you, mi pájaro cantor.”

He sets your gift down very carefully beside himself to lean over and hug you, closing the distance that separated your bodies. His scent, a mixture of gunpowder, cigarette smoke, and sweat, engulfs you, and for a moment it's hard to focus on anything else other than the comfort of his arms around you.

Following this occasion, you can definitely expect a gift in return. In fact, the morning after you gave him yours he’ll have placed a beautifully crafted knife next to your bedroll. There’s nothing discerning that the knife is from him, but just the vibe surrounding the item screams Javier.

Later in the day, when you both share the warmth of the campfire again, he presents a beautiful selection of wild flowers to you, tied carefully with a satin ribbon. He’ll look at you with an expression that’s absolutely dripping in honey seeing you take the flowers he picked for you. Everyone is absolutely convinced you’re both sweet on one another.

The girls will definitely tease you for the rest of eternity for that stunt.

However, any embarrassment you felt would dissipate as soon as you see Javier smile upon seeing you use the knife he got you, as well as the gentleness of any interactions you share following this event.

Charles Smith

It was routine for both you and Charles to go on hunting trips together. Your strategies and general vibe complimented each other so well that whenever Pearson mentioned that he needed meat for the next stew, you both just assumed you were going to be hunting together. You’d never felt more comfortable with another person, and you cherished his presence.

You two are finishing up your most recent hunting trip when you pull his gift out of your saddlebag. The sun is just setting, casting a purple glow across the scenery that surrounded you both. A soft wind rustles the leaves of the trees, and in the distance a pack of coyotes bark and yip.

“Charles?”

As soon as he turns around, you’re holding your hands out with his gift. His gaze shifts from the gift and then to you, his lips parting.

You fumbled with your words explaining yourself to the man, very slightly gesturing with your free hand to his body.“It’s for you. I- well I thought you’d like it.”

The softest of smiles graces his features as he takes the gift from you. His eyes seem to waltz along the features of your gift, his head just slightly tilting.

“This is such a thoughtful gift, Y/N. Thank you.”

The eye contact he makes with you after he utters that sentence nearly sends you into cardiac arrest.

For the next coming days, expect him to be really sweet with you. If he’s ever on guard duty, or you’re returning from a task together, he’ll help you off of your horse and make sure you know that you did an absolutely amazing job that day. You’re absolutely swimming in compliments from the man.

It’s during a hunting trip a lot like the one you two shared a few days ago that he gives you a handmade bow. It reminded you a lot of the one he often carried on his back, and your entire chest swelled with pride when you looked over the engravings intricately entwined in the wood. How long did it take him to make this? Your eyes nearly bugged out of your head at the thought.

“So you like it then?” His voice, tinted with amusement, interrupts the silence you created entirely by accident. This man was gonna kill you, you were sure of it.

“I- Charles of course I do! This- how…” Your breath escapes you, almost as if your lungs just decided to forget how to intake air.

It’s hard to ignore the way he looks at you whenever you use that bow (which is quite often might I add). You can’t completely discern the emotion he’s conveying, but all you know is that you’re absolutely enamored by his gaze.

Sean Macguire

Oh, this is a silly interaction all around. In fact, even when you were even picking out a gift for him, you were almost positive he’d find a way to make the occasion goofy as hell.

You give the gift to him whilst in camp, snatching the opportunity whilst he was on a break from guard duty.

“Oh my… love. Is this a present for good ol’ Macguire here?”

He has almost a puppy-like expression on his face, and the man doesn’t even let a second go by before he’s taking it out of your hands. A giggle slips through your lips at the child-like grin on his face, I mean, come on, he’s holding this gift as if it’s the secret to life.

“I take that you like it?” You tease, taking the time to lean against a tree. Your body felt light with fondness for the man.

He wildly gestures with his gift, taking a step closer to you as he tilts his head, “My da always used to say tat’ when a lady gifts y’something it’s a sign, y’know.” His eyebrows raise expectantly, as if you knew the context of whatever he was talking about.

You teetered on the edge of asking ‘a sign for what??’ but decided against it. This grand advice from his da will be listened to vehemently by you, a special occasion reserved only for today.

The sight of his eyes absolutely gleaming with joy as he recounts one of his da’s life advice™ is almost enough to melt you on the spot.

He’ll definitely give the most bone-crushing hug imaginable to show how appreciative he is for your gift. He smells absolutely terrible, but you can overlook that so long as he continues to smile like he is right now.

Look, afterwards he’ll try his best to get you a meaningful gift, but it will most likely be something along the lines of whiskey or some type of treat front the general store. He’ll genuinely be so excited for you to react to it, he’ll give it to you almost as soon as he gets back to camp. It most likely happens around the campfire too, with a few gang members watching this interaction unfold like 👀

You surprise him with his gift at the scout campfire. He’s just finished his guard duty, and before he starts his evening alcoholism™ you pounced on the opportunity to give him the item. You call his name once you decide you're close enough, a slight smile turning at your lips as you present it to him.

Once he realizes that what you’re holding out to him is supposed to be for him, he’ll look at you with such a mean scowl that you falter in your next step towards him, causing you to nearly fall face first into the dirt below.

“I ain’t in the mood for your goddamn jokes, Y/N.” He growls, prodding at the fire with the tip of his boot. He glances at you with brief concern as you regain your composure, his posture tightening as he decides on what exactly he wants to do, but he doesn’t threaten to check if you’re alright. He’s still bent on you playing a joke on him, after all.

“I’m gonna be in a worse mood if you don’t take th’ gift I chose for you, fool.” You tilt your head, a friendly yet threatening smile blessing your features as you lean down to his level, placing the gift in his open lap. The bear of a man glances at you, a huff escaping him. He found it hard to keep his guard up with you looking so intently at him, as well as when he finally studied the object that was placed on his lap.

“Well, thank you very much, Y/N. Don’t know why you’d even think to get me somethin’ like this.” There’s still an ounce of bitterness in his gruff voice, as if he was still expecting you to snatch the item out of his grasp and taunt him.

Your smile absolutely melts away any doubt lingering within him, though.

In fact, he feels an unfamiliar warmth fill his chest as you sit down next to him with a slight sigh, your head turning to look him in the eyes once again. “Yeah? I thought you’d like it.”

When your shoulders brush, he has to look at the gift again to hide any sign of a blush appearing on his cheeks. He was sure his beard would hide it, but he didn’t want to risk you seeing him in such a vulnerable state.

“Sorry for…” He makes an awkward gesture towards himself, and he fumbles with the item in his hands before continuing his attempt to converse with you. “This is… This is fine, Miss/Sir.”

You hummed, assuring him with a smile.

Afterwards, the man is so unsure of what to do with himself around you. Does he get you a gift back? Does he strike up more conversation with you? He’s at a loss. It’s been so long since someone at camp was so genuinely nice to him he doesn’t want to mess up anything.

If he does decide to get you a gift back, don’t expect anything gaudy. Honestly, it’s most likely something he stole off of someone or a bottle of your preferred alcoholic beverage. He’s really shy when he presents it to you, but upon seeing your true, unadulterated happiness that he even thought to get you something back is enough to get him smiling.

You two spend a lot more evenings together after this, filled with hearty laughs, Pearson’s stew, and a few beers.

Papin had been under investigation after commenting on an image of a man kneeling on a child's neck, saying the man in the image was 'doing it all wrong'

His comments continue with detailed instructions on how to perform the knee press and reminds the person who made the post that he 'saw the video'

The reference was to footage taken by a bystander of when Floyd died under a police officer's knee during an arrest in Minneapolis on Memorial Day

The man in the post was identified by police as Isaiah Jackson, 20, of Clark County, Ohio, who faces charges for taking the image

The picture which circulated online had the caption 'BLM now MF', in a reference to the Black Lives Matter Movement

A Georgia teacher resigned after he made comments on a social media post of a man kneeling on a child's neck that was reminiscent of George Floyd's murder.

Brian Papin, who taught special education for the Dekalb County School District near Atlanta, was being investigated after his comments were reported to the district's administrators, a spokeswoman told Dailymail.com Friday.

'Again! Your (sic) doing it wrong!' Papin wrote on the social media post with the image. 'One knee on center of the back one on the neck and lean into it until death! You saw the video!', he added, in reference to footage taken by a bystander of Floyd's slaying.

'Get it right or stop f****** around!' Papin also remarked in the post.

Even if this was some sort of provocation made in counter to the idiotic and disrespectful “George Floyd challenge”, it’s made in incredibly bad taste and with great lack of discretion. That is a small child. And what’s even more disturbing, is a Special Education Teacher making comments like that. I’m sure BLM activists and other SJWs will find a way to justify this, but it will only show how much they don’t care what happens to white people just as long as they’re in the right. If the roles in this case had been reversed, this would be all over the news. But because this is a white child, who cares, right?
