What's your favorite pokemon game and why?

hmmm... hard to answer, i actually have huge issues with basically all the main series games XXXXD like, i love black and white but i just wish N would shut up for 5 seconds and stop going on long ass monologues at random points. the 2nd gen games are up there but the difficulty curve in johto is weird and confusing. etc etc i guess bw2 is the one i have the least issues with and gen5 is my fave so!! yeah!!!

non main series, probably mystery dungeon explorers? ive played through sky/time/darkness a bunch of times, im a roguelike enthusiast first and a person second so the mystery dungeon series scratches that itch but ALSO i actually really like the story in these. also lets me live my pokémon isekai fantasy. honorable mention to pokémon + nobunaga no yabou/pokémon conquest, i love tactical RPGs. only problem i have with it is... well it was never released in france and i dont really like playing on emulator (except for nuzlockes, even then i still prefer physical if i can) so i have never really finished it ::::') honorable mention x2 to the pokémon ranger series, would be up there but these evil evil games almost gave me carpal tunnel and i can never forgive them /j

but now onto my actual ACTUAL favorite pokémon games: the volt white/blaze black hacks by drayano. these are bw quality of life + difficulty hacks and the games are good enough on that basis that i can ignore my N hatred AND play on emulator and still have fun. highly recommended for anyone who has played a lot of pokémon and is looking for a challenge! dont try to nuzlocke them. i have nuzlocked them, but dont make my mistake. it will drive you insane.

💔: Tell us about one of your LEAST favorite characters and why you dislike them?

So, for my Batman/Rogue fixation, Batman can sometimes be my least favorite character, especially when he's depicted as being outright mean, abusive, and cruel like the way some comics have been writing him abusing his boys or in the Arkham games when he gets more and more violent and has less control. I also do not care for Damian (I'm sorry, I hear he becomes better and more tolerable) but I just can't stand his stupid better than everyone attitude and constantly just ughh I know there's probably a reasoning behind it but he just annoys me and rubs me the wrong way lmao. I also don't like Hugo Strange, he's literally no help to anyone and just abuses and uses everyone including the Rogues and just ugh absolute shit bag.

Do you have an ao3/plan on uploading your work there?

(Does a lil jig) I have no work on ao3 but I have been drabbling together some stuff! It’s a long term project though haha, and I’m not likely to post because I’m still job hunting. (Shakes my little hat) but i can be convinced! Some stray dollars for lunch mmmight motivate me. Ehe.

For people curious what I WANT to write, if i have time:

Hisui Horizon Event — (alternate version of Canon but flavored with my war crimes.)

Ingo is sent to Hisui with no name and no memories. He copes.

Without her anchor, Chandelure fades. (Elesa and Emmet, mourning the loss of their third, will not let her slip gently into the grave.)

Salvaging the Ship of Theseus — (definitely canon divergence because, well.)

Emmet and Eelektross fall into Hisui seventeen months after Ingo’s disappearance and a month before PLA.

May I introduce: Shitty merchant Emmet, who’s definitely not fluent in Hisui flavored Kantonese. One concerned Eelektross, who’s about to change the landscape of pokemon-human relations forever. Warden Ingo, who is attempting to retire wardenship to go looking at the rift bubbles. Lady Sneasler, who’s using Ingo as a babysitter for her three rascally sneaslets.

And a very angry Elesa, armed with an extra pissed Chandelure, as they hunt down Sinnohian legends to get their favorite muppets back.

(HERE’S A DRABBLE. I have a lot of thoughts for Salvaging the Ship of Theseus. So many thoughts. Help. HELP.)

After setting up for an onsite demo, I was talking to the project owner in the conference room, waiting for everyone else to arrive, when I noticed this giant pile of post-it note cubes in all different colors, all mixed together. And I was like. No. Absolutely not.

So I reached over and, while still chatting, got them all sorted by color and then lined my color stacks up in ROYGBIV order, nice and tidy.
