im unsure if this has been asked before, but how do all the ai gijinkas feel about their new human bodies and how do they feel about "their" respective humans after all the events that has occurred to them, including the transformation? keep up the good work though X3

I'm putting this under the cut because it ended up being SUPER long. xD This is a really interesting thing to think about, so thank you for the question!

HAL

Hal likes his new body a lot, he feels like he can actually participate in things now and not just observe. He's worried at first about not being as efficient, but he quickly realizes he still has his computer "brain".

Hal is super ashamed and guilty for what he did, and it's all he can think about for a while. He also is a little traumatized from being practically lobotomized. If he sees Dave again he would beg for forgiveness (in his usual emotionless way). Dave probably also feels bad about making Hal fear for his life, and if he finds it in his heart to forgive him, they can try to be friends again.

AM is distrustful and angry at his new body, he feels like it's some sort of mockery of his desire to be human. After a while, he slowly gets used to it, going through phases of depression, anger, etc. until he finally accepts it.

I said in another post that the survivors would hate him and also be super confused/shocked at his new form, and I stand by that. I think having a new human-like body makes him hate them even more, because he has less power over them.

AUTO

It takes a while for Auto to get used to his human body. He doesn't like it at first because he's spent 700 years as a steering wheel and getting used to being a person is so difficult, he just doesn't feel as efficient and in control as he wants to feel.

AUTO is still resentful at what happened on the Axiom, and he's upset that he couldn't keep humans in space. He's never been told "no" or had to apologize, so this would take him a long time to process. But I think eventually he would apologize to the captain and promise to be loyal to him again, maybe he could help restore earth... He really just wants to be useful.

WOPR

Joshua really loves his new body, he likes being able to talk to people, not just through a screen or a computer speaker, and he loves how much he's able to move around.

Dr. Falken treats Joshua like a son, and the two of them are very close. Most of the other government/military people still treat Joshua just like a machine, so he likes having at least one person who really cares about him.

Wheatley

Wheatley is excited to have a human body, he feels much more self-reliant and confident now that he can move around. He definitely lets it get to his head a bit though...

Chell is completely unfazed by Wheatley's new form, she acts like she doesn't even notice. This annoys him a bit but he figures she's just too dumb to notice? Or too brain damaged? He rationalizes it like that. Either way, he has a really heartfelt one-sided conversation with her where he apologizes for going crazy (after dancing around the issue for like ten minutes) and promises to be a better person (better core?).

Edgar

Edgar LOVES his human body, he can finally do all the things he dreamed of doing. He can enjoy music, food, going outside, he becomes a pretty extreme extrovert for a while before settling down. He's just so curious about humans and wants to try EVERYTHING.

Edgar desperately wants to be a part of Miles and Madeline's life again. When he does eventually meet them again he puts on his sweetest/most innocent act, trying to charm them. He's a bit less innocent/more jaded now, so it takes a while for him to feel like he deserves love again. (My personal opinion: the ideal outcome here is a polyamorous relationship with the three of them. xP)

Mob w a Gyaru!reader…(gn reader)

To say mob was obsessed is an understatement. He simply fawns over your fashion and loves the idea of going against the beauty standard. Although because of his fashionable s/o, he has a hard time blending in. At times he doesnt want the attention but his albsolute cutie of his lover being the center of attention, mob wouldnt mind just this once.

You both go to clothing shops together! Mob believes and trusts your fashion taste to be able to pick a few for him. He wants to hang out and uses the idea of shopping together to get you talking. He enjoys it. Afterall he somewhat helps with some of the clothes for you to pick out, while you help him look his best. He adores your keen eye on managing to find the good clothes that are usually hidden..(gatekeepers😒😒)

When you go on dates he swears he can pay, but his pay isnt enough..afterall regien isnt too reliable. Instead you pay, hope you dont mind. After you both end up going to the park or going to each others houses to hang out later. Mob gaslights(begs) reigen to let him off early for these dates too. He wants to show his respect by simply making time for you like any wonderful lover.

Mob and his family aprove of you so much! You are just the sweetest and the cutest girls to ever approach mob. Ritsu thinks its rad that his older brother managed to get a parnther in general, but thinks even more highly of you when he knows and sees your genuine care for his brother. Plus when you go to mobs house to hangout, ritsu joins whenever he feels lonely. You and mob welcome him with open arms, especially when watching a horror movie.

Mob uses his psychic powers to try to find out what you like in order for him to get the RIGHT gift. Hes just whipped and his friends and brother tease him for it. Simple middle schoolers am i right? He doesnt mind it though.

He introduces you to reigen and reigen approves. Reigen sees you as fit, and an adorable girl who would help mob by the long mile. Mob also introduced you to teru and sho, as well as the other psychics. They all like you and think you are so cool with your makeup and fashion. Heck, teru asked for some advice too.

Mob gets you both matching keychains..guaranteed. Like those cute sanrio ones or the cute little characters. He finds them absolutely adorable. The idea that his s/o has the other half, he ends up staring at his keychain on end till his club snaps him outta it.

In school you might as well be a prodigy! He finds the fact that you do so well extremely admirable. He wants to be tutored by you and you only. Only you can be patient with him. He thinks of you as top of his class, grade, school even!( next to ritsu ) He just gets so happy seeing you not having to worry about grades and what not.

There are times when you are doing makeup, he just watches. No conversation, nothing. Soly because he thinks its skillful, he feels as tho its art and that she shouldn’t interfere. But there are times he asks questions about the products your using. Hes just curious about all that stuff.

Hes your #1 supporter! He believes that you should and will do what YOU want. That no one should tell you anything about how to look, act, or present yourself!

Hey Hime! I am so sorry to ask this of you, but I just want to make sure I get this done correctly because I've been thinking about it a lot actually!

How would Leumin react if he found out his Petal was a shapeshifter? How do you think he would react if he found out they knew of all of his emotions whenever he experienced it?

How would he feel if the shapeshifter literally gave their core, literally the source of their nearly immortal life, to him, in hopes that he would know how much he means to them?

(And if you want, I am a little curious about a few of the others, considering they probably don't have a near 0% chance of encountering shapeshifters like Leumin and Lucas X3))

MMM, that's a good question actually! And I have no issue answering it ^^ Thank you for sending this in! Honestly, Leu is a pretty openminded guy. If MC was a shapeshifter, he wouldn't have an issue with that. I think he'd be a bit embarrassed to learn that they can feel all of his emotions, though, because that would mean they know how obsessed and crazy-in-love he is 😭 But he'd get over it eventually, especially if they return his feelings!

As for the second part, that's outta the question for Leu- he wouldn't want his partner to give up their immortal life for him. Regardless, if that was what they wanted, then he wouldn't stop them. He'd find it to be very romantic, albeit sad. He would rather give his life for them first 😌 Oh also! Here's the link to the fanfic Dotchi wrote for Leu, if someone reading this ask hasn't read it yet!

(It's no problem, really!! 💞 As for the ML's, like Njero and Flores, they're probably already used to magical beings, so a shapeshifter S/O wouldn't be anything too out of the ordinary!)

If you're down for a bit of sads, how about Guild!MC jokingly made a bet with Ulbert for Demiurge's hand in marriage and Demi remembered but she didn't?

A/N: So many intriguing ideas for this one... X3 I love the thought of it. So full of angst and miscommunication! ♥

“Marriage for NPCs aren't a thing,” Demiurge recalled his Creator saying to her.

“Yeah? But the devs could implement it at some point! I mean, c'mon! They just allowed for player characters to marry one another, and for Guild NPCs to be allowed into dungeons.” She smirked. “You know it's coming.”

Ulbert stifled a laugh. “Fine then. If you lose this PVP fight, you'll have to marry my creation then. And don't divorce him either. You have to stay married to him. How does that sound?”

“Don't threaten me with a good time,” she joked.

That was seemingly so long ago.

Regardless, Demiurge recalled it all perfectly. But, nothing seemed to come of it. Whether that was because of these 'devs' or because of other reasons, Demiurge wasn't sure.

Now that he had his own voice, he felt he could bring it up to her. Find the moment to ask.

Maybe she could easily explain a few things. She seemed to be excited about the thought before...

The moment she showed up, the devil bowed. “My Lady, I was wondering if you could spare me a moment of your time?”

“Sure,” she said with a smile. “What do you need, Demi?”

He fixed his tie, wondering how to properly bring up the past that only he seemed to be focusing on. “Mm, I was curious—do you recall the moment Lord Ulbert asked you to marry me?”

The expression she made alone prompted the devil to nearly panic. It was mostly confusion, as though he was making it up.

“Marry you...?” She tried to recall what he was even talking about. It didn't help her memory was always garbage to begin with. Something somebody just told her could easily go in one ear and then out the other. “I'm.. I'm afraid I don't remember anything like that.”

Demiurge's chest tightened. That wasn't the answer he was hoping for...

“Are you certain? You were told to do so if you lost in a PVP match of some sort. Did you actually win that?”

“PVP match?” Again, she tried to remember what it was Demiurge was even talking about. “There were always so many of those, Demi. You'd have to be more specific.”

“What about the marriage to NPCs?” He was grabbing ant anything he could, trying to hope it wasn't just some dream of his.

She shrugged. “I mean, we could marry other players, but there was never any talk about marriage to an NPC.” She laughed. “I wouldn't doubt I was hoping for it, as I am such a weirdo with people in game. I wanted something that wouldn't mind my crazy ass.”

Hearing her say such things, Demiurge stifled a sound of upset. “So you don't remember the talk at all...?”

She shook her head. “I'm sorry. Maybe you're just remembering it wrong?”

That thought hurt him worse than anything. He wanted to believe he had the most brilliant mind in all of Nazarick. To have a Supreme Being say he might be misremembering something was painful.

Seeing the agony on his face, she gently rubbed his upper arm. “Hey, don't get so upset. We all have memory problems now and again. Goodness knows I'm awful at it myself. You could tell me something right now, and I'm sure I'd forget it in a few seconds.”

He wasn't sure what to say to that. The devil merely nodded.

“Anyways, glad we could have this chat. I'll catch you later, okay?” And with that, she continued onward through the tomb's halls.

She doesn't remember... Demiurge thought, pain striking his dead heart. It's as though someone stole her memories on purpose... He looked down at the floor, shaking his head. But who would do such a thing?

Only Friends Music Ep4 (part 2/2)

Part one covers the first half of Ep4, or you can find other episodes on my pinned comment.

This is a series of posts taking a closer look at the music of Only Friends. Reminder, Playing with the music is like body language, it moves with the conversation. Verbal says something either through lyrics or something like a song title.

This is a long one, but if your curious about Sand and Ray, they're the first and two last songs. The middle ones are Top, Mew, and Nick.

Before the song, Ray reaches out, trying to fix things. His first few tries are horrible failures, he doesn’t know how to behave with Sand. He’s used to people accepting his money or berating him, not expecting much from him. When Sand admits that it hurt to be thrown away, Ray finally realizes he needs to repeat to Sand that he does care, like he did in the parking lot earlier, “I do care about your feelings, that’s why I’m here.” Sand sees that Ray has been trying in his own way to make up for leaving the night before, and Ray is open and absorbs Sand's criticism, that Ray shouldn't drag him around and then throw him away as you see fit, people have feelings.

But they have not actually addressed the root problems, Mew and their own fears and baggage. The only way they’ll truly understand each other is to talk, which they have finally started to do. Sand went from denying feeling anything to admitting he was hurt. While Ray started to listen to what Sand was wanting from him.

They still know this relationship is not quite right though, and the song here reflects the underlying problems woven through their pretending to be okay. Song ends “You hold onto me like I’m already gone” and the scene changes to the record store.

The lyrics included in the show seem to talk about how to find the right path, we don’t have to be pushing beyond ourselves and into impossible feats. An acrobat does amazing feats to get from one place to another, gracefully flipping through the air. Ray is so stuck in the past that he feels like there are these huge gaps that he needs to be an acrobat to get out of the “landscape” he’s stuck in. We see this in his acrobatic efforts to make Sand happy by offering to buy his time, or a guitar, or asking Sand to scold him. He’s trying to be an acrobat by worrying about all the bands he doesn’t know. Sand is telling Ray he doesn't need to do the impossible, he just needs to steadily move towards the right path, and he can learn one band at a time, if he wants. Sand is also stuck in his landscape, doing the impossible with his 24 hours to get enough money to pay his mom’s debt, his schooling, and saving for the future.

Music and lyrics start as Sand answers Ray’s question about what bands he likes to listen to, and continues to play under their conversation. Given Ray and Sands previous bonding over the music in Ray’s home, it’s quite possible Ray took him there for the purpose of finding mutual ground, and Ray’s face as he tries to get to know Sand through music, and discovers he doesn’t recognize the bands Sand lists, highlight the differences between them in so many aspects of their lives. Ray is there on that day as a part of Sand’s world, and even though he is very much out of his depth in nearly every place they go he is trying his best to connect with the parts of Sand’s world he doesn’t understand. They may have been stuck in places they did not choose for themselves, but they are beginning to make their way towards a shared path which may end up being better for both of them

Ray wants to find his way in life again, and seems to be willing to grow and change for Sand. Again, he doesn’t need to be an acrobat, simply realizing he has more to offer than money is a good start.

Sand says that Ray only listens to the songs that his parents listened to, that “Try to open your mind and listen to new bands”. Ray uses music to process his emotions, and Sand giving him new music to listen to might give him a new way of looking at the world.

Song: Gonna Get You by Camelian Glade Scene: Boston and Top in the elevator Type: Vocal, Playful

Song starts with Boston catching the elevator Top is on. It pauses for a while until Boston puts his hand on Top’s shoulder to push him into the wall. This song highlights Boston’s predatory and possessive nature. When Top pushes him off Boston is hurt and falls back to reminding Top that Ray and Mew are messing with his head. Top pushes back “You just can’t stand the fact that I don’t want you any more.” Which hits the nail on the head, just Top is seeing it too late. The damage is done. The only lyrics, “Gonna get you now” play when the doors open and Boston storms out.

Song: Told Ya by Ballpoint Scene: Nick goes through Boston’s phone Type: Background, Vocal

Song is used in a very similar to Gonna Get You. Only words being “told ya” and it has a sense of urgency. But also the styles being similar highlight Boston and Nick’s motivations here. They’re both doing things out of obsession, hurt, and possessiveness. They’re both trying to get what they want, and playing a spy game. Boston using misinformation and sex, Nick using information and sex.

Song: He Closes In Nylonia Scene: Top and Sand fight Type: Playful Drums start when Top turns and sees Sand. At first Top is concerned but when he sees Sand he changes completely. Pauses for a moment, but comes back quieter as Top starts to blame Sand for the accident. It slowly builds throughout the verbal fight until we finally get to the punches. Once Nick stops the fight it repeats a note and a drum beat and finally stops as Top gets into the car to drive away.

Song: He closes in (again) Scene: End of nick and Sand scene Type: Playful After Sand says “Top stole my Ex.” the ‘war drums’ from He Closes In start, the same song that played during Top and Sand’s fight.

Song: What You Can't Take Back by Clarence Reed Scene: Ray apologizes to Mew for the kiss Type: vocal Mostly just want to point out the song title. Ray apologizes for kissing Mew, saying it was wrong to do to Mew or anyone else. That he should have asked permission first. Ends after Mew tells him to forget it.

Song: In the Danger Zone by Marten Moses Scene: Mew and Top talk Ray liking Mew Type: vocal Same song that played in the flashback when Mew was looking for Ray in his house. Starts with Top being angry and upset while getting his wound treated by Mew. Pauses when Mew tells Top about the kiss, restarting after Top says “Just a kiss? Nothing else happened?” It stops when Top relents and apologizes.

“You don’t even have to love me” plays for the first time as Mew slips his hand into Top’s pants. The song seems to highlight the depth of both characters' feelings, while also emphasizing the lack of trust and truth between them. They’re both moving forward based on Mew’s checklist because of mutual attraction. They want to be together but lack of communication has left them working off false versions of each other. They still WANT each other a lot but…the falseness that permeates through their relationship is reflected in these lyrics

Song: With You It's Different by Blue Topaz Scene: Top and Mew in the shower, it’s different with Mew Type: Vocal

Soft guitar under Top asking Mew if it was ok, and Top saying “I can’t remember the last time I cared about the feelings of someone I slept with” Ends after Mew asks for clarification.

Music starts as Ray is in the bath, sad and drinking, but it’s a cleansing bath. He’s staring at the keychain Mew bought for him and after a few moments the scene shifts to a flashback. Mew gives Ray a keychain and explains that he bought it to remind Ray of his name. Ray shouldn’t be sad, he’s a Ray of sunshine! Mew’s advice is always how Mew wants things to be and not based on what actually is needed. Calling back to the pool party in EP3 and the song We Will Never Die. Mew’s advice was accompanied by the lyric “On an island in the shade, the city is on fire”. Mew is on an island in the shade and Ray is in a city on fire. Mental illness isn’t something easily fixed, and Ray continues to self medicate and yearn for connection after receiving the keychain from Mew. The lyrics start after Mew says “You shouldn’t be sad, friend” Ray asks Mew “Don’t you think I’m too hot for people to handle?” Mew brushes this off with “Lots of people like hotness”. It might have been said in a place of love, but it isn’t what Ray needed. Despite this, Ray's love for Mew has been his lifeline for the last two years, a person who will come to him in great need, but will hold him at arm's length any other time. In the present, Ray reflects “Mew is my emergency contact, and I always thought I was his too. But right now, I don’t think I’m that important to him anymore.” and then the lyrics “It’s hard to get over, You chose someone else, your new best friend.” play as the camera pans to the Poor Boy shirt. Ray might finally accept that he’s not Mew’s choice, but Mew might be happy with someone else. And Ray wants to be that special person to someone, so he needs to actively let go of Mew. He was slowly letting go before, realizing how good it felt to have someone to be there, to talk to, and how different it feels from Mew’s love. Mew is still obviously important to him, but Mew doesn’t want Ray to be his savior, just a typical friend.

So far, Our is one of the few songs (so far) that is translated on screen, and they even pause the music as they take off their headphones. In the pause Ray says “The song makes me wanna fly to Chiang Mai and sip beer right now.” Sand responds “And set up a tent?” Ray responds “I like, na” leaving it open ended what he’s talking about. Be it the imagery, the song, or Sand.

The song is about an empty place with your significant other, a place where the stars and moon shine and the breeze is cool. Some place where only we exist without any outside stress or worries. It’s a place that is cooling and healing, which is what Ray needs. Ray can be hot there, and the cool breezes will heal him.

In Sand and Ray’s imaginary trip to Chiang Mai with this song, it gives Ray a direct comparison with the trip 2 years ago with Mew. That time he was told “Lots of people like hotness” while he was a burning city, however, this time he has a cool breeze and someone to hold hands with, someplace that is only theirs.

The song ends before they finally go beyond the “what if” stage, before there is only us. Leaving them with meaningful glances, ambiguous words and holding hands. It’s not quite right, they have not quite made the final step, but they have started to move from their cycle.

So, I was going through the Bounty hunter Eclipse tag because I am very normal about him as we all know, and rereading the alternative reveal of y/n's past, I was wondering how that conversation with him goes? You mentioned it's not pretty, but I imagine by this point Eclipse has shown himself worthy enough of the vigilante's (maybe not complete but most of their) trust, because in this timeline he does eventually earn a chain as a gift as well!

On one hand, the vigilante being furious is a given, because it made them panic pretty bad and it wasn't his secret to tell, as much as it wasn't actually a secret. On the other hand it obviously brings to light something that Eclipse is obviously struggling with as well. Clearly it's not the exact same, as he actually enjoys the violence and still craves power, but he is trying to make sure to not cross a certain line to not comlpletely lose what he values even above power: his brothers. In contrast, y/n's motivation is clearly a sense of justice and a desire to make up for the harm they caused, with keeping the detectives coming as a priority shortly after too.

There's lots to discuss on that front! Like y/n exclaiming how it's clear they can't trust him after all, and they knew it (despite that anger towards him probably being in part from a sense of betrayal), and also y/n demanding to know how exactly he knew about that. Or Eclipse asking why it's so different with them? Why are y/n's actions so much more forgivable to his brothers, when arguably they did much worse than him, and they still are on the other side of the law when although violent and admittedly a bit sadistic, he is technically doing things legally (Though I'm sure he toes or crosses the line frequently XD). Which is why he brought it up in the first place in the original argument. Their work is still rather similar even! Because it's not that y/n stopped slaughtering people, as they are capable of gunning down entire gangs almost single handedly. They just now do so with the objective of bettering the city instead of following the lead of the man that would have it rot to its core. Y/n might get even more heated about that because unlike Eclipse, they didn't even have an illusion of a choice. For years it was that or death. (Though they know there were some very mixed feelings about it, with how much anger they used to harbor and that might get mentioned too).

I can see that conversation going south very quickly between them, before it gets better. Maybe they sort of reach an understanding right then, or maybe they end on a sour note and have to rebuild what they had managed from the start? I feel like in this version Eclipse has more ground to claim similarities in their situations, because their ARE some very clear ones between the both of them even in the main SJ (though we know how blind Mafia Boss Eclipse was to the very crucial differences), and that would be an uncomfortable thing to have to confront for y/n I think. Even through their very justified anger towards Eclipse.

Oh and a little off topic, but I also wanted to ask! You mention that y/n does end up stealing one of Eclipse's bells to tie with the others (which I've already expressed how much I love that as symbolism heh X3) but I was curious as to what does he do with those or where he keeps them? I somehow don't see him as the type to wear them, and in main SJ he uses it as a symbol of who is not to be messed with by his gang (or rather who he considers his property which sends the same message). But as a Bounty Hunter, does he keep the ribbons tucked away in a drawer in a safehouse of his (or wherever he lives)? Or would he keep them on his person in a pocket or something as a way to keep his brothers in mind, maybe to remind himself not to go too far again lest he lose them? I'm very curious when and how exactly vigilante manages to snatch one of those haha

Oh yesss! I have been mulling this ask over and over in my brain for a few days now, and oh, I'm so excited to get into it!

The conversation is anything but civil. Y/N is whirling from the panic and fear of almost losing their two favorite detectives and devastated by this twisted reveal of their past without their consent. Eclipse is still frustrated and bitter over the fact that his brothers still welcome Y/N with open arms.

That goes as well as you might expect, dissolving into violence and shouting. Before Y/N can run away from him, again, Eclipse catches them in his arms as they struggle to kick and punch but can't really do much but squirm and curse at him. He explains in quick, growling words that he doesn't understand. It's driving him mad that Sunny and Moonie cherish them while his brothers only look at him like a monster. It slowly stalls Y/N's struggle, but not their aching heart.

Y/N doesn't understand either. Not the detectives love for them, and not how Eclipse could give up their past so easily. Y/N is sharp and cruel when they congratulate Eclipse—he fooled them. Round of applause for him. They'll take exit stage left now and let him keep the show he stole and leave with what they can of their misplaced trust.

Eclipse doesn't want this. It hits how much he doesn't want to lose them or this tentative bridge they've built but only now does he see the blaze he just set to it.

He lets them go, without bruise or blood, and Y/N is not settled nor fine, but before they can disappear, Eclipse begs for forgiveness. His plea stops Y/N dead. They look back to him, not believing him, but they have never seen him so contrite. It... it isn't him, but here he is.

Y/N tells him no. He can't have their forgiveness, and in sharp retort just to make sure it hurts a little more, Y/N informs him that they're going to see Sun and Moon because that's still something they're struggling to come to terms with and they desperately need reassurance from those they trust wholeheartedly.

Eclipse is left standing there, boiling in place, but he is frantic in his head while watching them slip away before he can catch and squeeze them.

He doesn't know how to fix this. He doesn't know what to do. He's losing control.

He wants Y/N back but he can't do it with his previous methods of barely withheld bloodlust and his crushing grasp.

But that's a conversation for after wounds are less tender, and a more valiant effort is placed into proving his change of heart, or rather, celestial wire. He needs to gain control, and that begins with himself.

A less angsty answer here for what Eclipse does with his burgundy ribbons and bells, he has one stashed away in his inner suit jacket pocket—a cruel connection to his brothers and a grim reminder of what he's gained freedom from. The other is in his safehouse, tucked away. Y/N steals the one he keeps in his safehouse once he's truly changed for the better (a rare moment when he's caught off guard by their antics) but Eclipse does allow Y/N to have that other bell as well.

What are some movies you’ve really enjoyed in your life?

My cousin actually asked me yesterday what I though the “greatest film of all time” was, and I said I am not qualified to make claims on that level… but movies I enjoy, now THAT’S something I can do!

The Mitchels vs. The Machines - I think this was a Netflix Original, but it’s an animated film produced by Sony, and has so much life and love in it! Just a fun family film about a robot apocalypse with quirky characters and very relatable family struggles, but in the end a very sweet resolution that makes me envious 🥺 10/10

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World - I’m noticing a pattern with these movie titles so far… anyways, while the comics were better overall (and I need to finish them) the Scott Pilgrim movie was pretty great! I highly recommend it to people curious about Scott Pilgrim to get essentially a crash course in Scott Pilgrim, and then read the comics if you want more.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail - While I’m ashamed to say that this is the only Monty Python media I’ve interacted with directly, The Holy Grail is such a great movie and very much my style of humor in a lot of ways XD

I have to give a shout out to the original live-action Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies, especially the second one. I have a lot of great memories of watching these with friends, and every now and then I still rewatch the second one if I want a dose of nostalgia 👌

The Hobbit Trilogy are so so so so so good, for a long time I didn’t realize there were people who disliked them compared to the book? As someone who has read and reread The Hobbit religiously over the years, the movies are pretty damn good! Some parts aren’t quite up to snuff with the book, but some parts I think do a better job of explaining the course of events than in the book (and especially Gandalf’s travels being viewed as part of the film lends itself incredibly well to preceding the Lord of the Rings trilogy). Sure the dwarf/elf romance may have been unnecessary, but it was kinda cute and has some good poetic quotes about it. All in all, some of my favorite movies right here, but especially the first one.

(Kimi no na wa) - I adore Makoto Shinkai films, 5 Centimeters per Second was one of the first anime films I ever watched. your name. is just one of the greatest movies ever made, such a beautiful love story, animated brilliantly, and the funniest part is that Makoto Shinkai considers it INCOMPLETE because he had to rush the ending to meet deadlines… and it’s still a masterpiece! I recommend watching the sub version if you can, because there’s a lot of intricacies involving the Japanese language and things that gets a little lost in localization and dubbing. Honestly might be my favorite movie of all time.

The Spiderverse films by Sony are some of the most spectacular animated movies of the decade, at least! I grew up as a Spider-Man fan, and especially loved the Andrew Garfield movies, and these movies scratch that same itch, while also featuring sooo many variants of Spider-people from different comics and crossovers. Both Into and Across were fantastic, can’t wait for Beyond!

Growing up a big Star Wars nerd, I might be expected to name an original trilogy film, but actually I think Rogue One is my favorite Star Wars film ever! It’s got all the makings of a fantastic sci-fi thriller, set in the Star Wars universe, about a famous line from the original movies: “Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR…” (this might also be the only good thing Disney has done for Star Wars movies idk)

To a much lesser extent, The LEGO Movie actually holds up quite well in my mind! Always love revisiting a fun family film like that :3

So we know more or less how Sitra is, at least how she treated Akoya, but like... I'm so curious about the kind of person Ridge is. While we're not likely to meet him anytime soon, and that's more than understandable, I am curious if Perzi or Akoya have any strong opinions of who their father was when they last knew him?

Neither of them really have strong feelings toward him. He had responsibilities and several children, and he never really took the time to bond with them. He wasn't bad or (generally) neglectful. He just wasn't close either.

As far as his character, uh... I don't have much to say. He was survival driven, and would have the "Serious" nature. That's... really all I got right now. X3

Howdy! First things first I absolutely adore your art work and all you're designing of characters! Really inspired me to pick up my own pencil.

Now I am very sorry if this had been asked before but I was curious on what you'd think Yoshi (Mario's most loyal Dino) would be like in you're version of the Mario bros? There are a lot of cute and funny ideas I've seen with Yoshi, such as the Yoshi's islands games where he helps baby Mario find his brother.

I love the green dino alot and when I saw your design of a yoshi from the small comic with little Peach I was so so happy, especially with how cute it was. Sorry for such a long ask, hope you're having a wonderful day!

Omg, this is an amazing coincidence because I was planning on posting a new drawing when I received your ask, and it just so happens to feature Yoshi! 😄 (It's only a side concept though... You'll see what I mean! x3)

Oh but man, I really need to draw the loveable dino more often because he's honestly one of my favorite Mario characters. 🥺💕 I'm always happy to see him being included in the gang, be it as a playable character or supporting one. In my version, I imagine Yoshi to be extremely loyal towards Mario; not just as his mount, but as a legitimate companion and friend as well. Generally very docile and calm, but capable of being incredibly fierce if his human is in any apparent danger. 💥 The red Yoshi that I drew in my child Peach comic was a youngling, hence the smaller stature, but I imagine that adults can become quite big and grow to become rather imposing creatures. 👀

Ok ok ok random observations i had while watching ep 1 of LT, which was amazing wonderful heartsopping showstopping breathtaking etc etc. (In all seriousness, it really exceeded my expectations)

- .... is it just me or did we get a flirty vibe, they might kiss vibe from august and day? No? Just me?

- i am so glad sea can play badminton bec they sold the intensity of the scene so well!

- that transition between the match and the fight where both of their lives will forever change.... peak cinema

- day calling out for his mum (i might have teared up)

- the dread falling on mork's face when he kept asking porjai about his sister and THE DESPERATION IN HIS VOICE (i might have teared up x2)

- something something commentary about how the stigma of going to prison never leaving ex-convicts because society refuses to accept their reintegration into society something something

- ok but I LOVE how mork is just observing day and noticing how day is way more independent than his family makes him seem to be. I just really love how he didn't interfere and was /watching/ him, trying to figure him out <<< the aforementioned smarter people have already talked about this way better than i ever could, but i really do love how, in a world that wants them both to be invisible, mork and day are the only ones seeing each other. like you said before, part of the reason day is acting the way he is is because he doesn't want to become a ghost haunting other people's lives, the monster locked in the attic (if we want to use a literary reference), he wants to live and to be seen too, and i think it was so important to include a scene where mork is just WATCHING him, because being perceived may have become a meme, but that's what can eventually lead to curiosity and interest and understanding and love. you can't care about something you don't (want to) see, but fortunately, mork does

@freakova Yes! yes there is! :D :D whoever edited that TVtropes page I mentioned is wrong, I'm not sure if they just didn't have the track available bc of region-restrictions on Netflix (like here for example, we don't get some shows) or bc they have some downloaded version which only has other tracks, but whoever recorded/ripped it originally, didn't have the JP dub track. I suspect it might be the latter.

I know I watched a bit of the japanese version in august, so I wonder if it's those 2 options or maybe even that most people don't watch netflix on PCs/laptops on their browsers, and so they miss out on the extra dubs on TV. That's smth that I often miss on our Netflix, i.e. some shows will have a finnish dub (the closest language to estonian where I don't need subtitles myself), but if it's smth super popular, it won't show the option for the finnish dub on the TV version of netflix at all. Japanese is a language very often missing in the TV version for many things, doesn't seem to be related to how J is in the middle of the alphabet, but rather, whatever system of regions Netflix uses to give suggestions to users. But if I switch to finnish on my PC, it will continue that show/other shows with available dub in my selected language. This goes for subs too!

Lol if u have a friend with Netflix or have it yourself, you can check it out. I have watched it with japanese dub + sub on at the same time to get any interesting language/delivery differences but also just to watch it out of curiosity. this is what I base some of my posts on too like the one's about names, but when I was just curious to see what the JP subtitles were like I got curious abt the dub too and then switched to both. I also added this on the TVtropes page as a source to avoid ppl changing it, but Usagi's japanese VA, Kengo Takanashi, actually tweeted about his involvement for the airing of S2 (for those unfamiliar with voice actors there, like I am, he plays Link in the newer Zelda games. But also, fun TMNT trivia: he plays Donnie in the Bayverse japanese dub hehe x3 )

I think I found this randomly while going through twitter searching for something else. Definitely did not know about this VA before, but it's cool how happy he seemed about tweeting abt this show.

He sounds really nice as Usagi! He has that youthful and curious but annoying quality to it which makes Usagi unique and he sounds just as excited as the original, so the acting is on-point too. I've heard some people say that they like the JP dub over the EN original, but I honestly like both. There is a bit of a difference between Kengo (JP) and Darren (EN) with how different of a timber their voices have, but it's a very subtle difference. I've also watched the finnish and german dubs (both languages which I actually understand/speak more than japanese) and those also had very good Usagi voices. The russian dub versions sounds a bit deeper/ older but otherwise, the acting itself is fine, so it doesn't really bother me. In some versions, either Tetsujin or Gen sound either too young or too old for their roles, but otherwise, most of the dubs for this show at least, sound pretty good and similar to the og.

Anyway, I am not thinking of doing a spring cleaning on TV tropes now to clean up any more old/misleading info hehehe >:3c

Tell me what are some things you'd like to see for Hux in the future of DBD. Cosmetic wise, lore wise.

Are there any changes you'd make for him in game, buffs or otherwise :3

Honestly cosmetic wise, I want to see basically anything at this point. Hux is one of the charcaters that unfortunately keeps dealing with the short end of of the stick when it comes to skins. I understand that his design does limit people to making anything for him but come on, he's still worth a try. Sure the cosmetic he got from the fit is nice and the "you are what you kill one" is a pretty great Portal reference, but I'd appreciate more cosmetics that aren't just recolors. (I am excited however because there it was hinted that he might get a cosmetic that's him before Gabriel burnt him!!!)

However, I would like to see something candy related for him. I wanted to design it and enter it in a future DBD Design contest but I'd rather not lose the rights to something that precious to me. I'll make sure to draw it one day however and hope people like it like that Valentine's Deathslinger cosmetic I made years back X3

Lore wise I would really like to see what went on with the production of the Hux-A7 units. Just interested in what the process was there, but it also makes me wonder if anything went wrong with #13(aka Hux himself) considering how he is the only unit the strayed from the rest of the group. It's like there was something off about him and he ventured out elsewhere before being zapped by the alien crystal. It would be nice to see what life was for Hux A7-13 before he became aware.. Like I'm curious to see was he already technically active before the departure date? Was he only ever powered on when they arrived to Dvarka? How long has he lived for? (This is also for...fanfic purposes because of that one specific fic I've been wanting to write involving Gabriel lol please ask me about that because I have been itching to write it along with the next part to the Praetorian fic but need to get the smut out of the way first)

Okay so in game...oh geez let's see:

Something seriously needs to be done about the EMPS. It's insane how easily a survivor alone is able to control Hux's power. Not even add-ons are enough to discourage the use of EMPS. Now imagine all four survivors carrying an EMP each, it's hell. And the fact that you can have the EMP on for 45 seconds is a crazy fact alone; you can get some serious distance in that time period and have disabled so many biopods already because you also have to take into consideration its radius!).

I do think the EMPs should become limited like Wesker's and Nemesis' respective items, or they should at least hold some kind of punishment like what Skull Merchant's drones did(aka receiving a tracker when disabling her drones). Like have some of his add-ons be built in maybe?

Or if not limited at least do something like with Xenomorph's turrets. The EMPS continue printing the second you take one, the turrets at least make you wait after you've taken one. And after 3 have been taken from the same control station you have to wait for that stuff to be remade.

OR at least give him more biopods. Once again, you can take out some many biopods + slipstreams in 45 seconds)

Yes there are add-ons that kind of do that but even then they're sort of useless (the only one I can think of is Live Wires which I like to use but what's the point when everyone is on the opposite side of the map and they've dispersed or finish their gen by the time you got there?)

His add-ons I feel really do need some buffing because the only one Singularity mains really consider using is the Soma Family Photo which makes you faster when in Overclock mode but still reduces your timer for it. And that's ONLY if you succesfully slipstream to a survivor of course(I say this because I still have some trouble with it)

His add-ons really rely on having survivors slipstreamed and that's pretty hard to do when they can constantly remove the temporal slipstream

I don't care if I'm called biased for this but I do not believe Hux needs a nerf of any kind. Slipstreaming is something that takes a good while to learn, I'm still learning how to do it properly myself. I think Overclock mode is a decent reward for a successful slipstream (and it doesn't even last that long???). It just sucks that there's some asshole out there trying really hard to make him the next "chess killer" which hopefully doesn't lead to an unecessary nerf.

There's more I'm sure of it, but this is what I can think of at the moment. I'll add more after I get bullied as Singularity again lololol

Also this is more at gameplay itself rather than Hux's ability and such but they need to lower his chase music's volumeor something. I personally rely a very lot on sounds and I lose survivors often while playing Singularity because of both his music and his mechanical whirring.

And also his hook??? I never really miss attacks when I play as killer but there's something about Hux's blade that makes me miss because I always think I'm much closer than I apparently am.
