While hanging out with @nebulathisimdone I was browsing through a folder of old art I've given to her over the course of like...10 years, and I found a piece from 2015. I was roughly thirteen when I spit this out, yeah, and I really thought I ate. Everyone starts somewhere, I guess 😰

Anyway, I redrew it, since I'm back into aoex, just for an old-times-sake sort of thing, because I love these guys just as much as I did when I was 13. Almost 9 years later, here's a side-by-side.

The KA11AA-8A04AA Andriod, developed by CyberLife, is a prototype model, constructed with the purpose of 'collecting, storing, and dispensing knowledge'.

Mx. Medicine Pocket (Do not ask what their actual name is) was the one who received the andriod, and they looked at the name given, said 'fuck that', and started to call her Kaalaa Buanaa. Much simpler.

She's helpful, but...

"Are you positive that you are aware of the risk, Mx. Pocket?"

...She just can't understand their genius.

"Call me MedPoc, dammit. And second, what risk?" Medicine Pokcet gestured to the indoor crane they had made. "It's perfect! I mean, come on, you can't deny that!"

"I believe I can. And, I will." Kaalaa Buanaa replied, the small circle on the side of her head spinning. "I have seen you create numerous projects, and you are injured Ninety-Seven Percent of the time."

"Hey, I like those odds," Medcine Pocket rolled their eyes. "Alright then, scan it. Go ahead."

Kaalaa Buanaa looked at the crane and, after a second, spoke again, "I have seen One Hundred and Twenty-Three potential hazards."

"..." Medicine Pocket was about to deny it again... but in the end, sighed. "Ugh, FINE. Tell me the problems. I'll get them sorted."

"To start..."

"...That is the final problem." Kaalaa Buanaa commented, as Medicine Pocket collapsed in a chair nearby.

"I feel like I'm gonna die." they breathed heavily, with Kaalaa Buanaa raising a brow.

"But--?"

"It's a figure of speech." Medicine Pocket immediately said back. "...Just... can you get me like, a soda or something?"

She nodded, and left them.

Medicine Pocket has had the android (technically, gynoid) for a few months, and has mixed feelings.

On one hand, she's annoying, helping make his work 'ethical', and causing him massive headaches.

On the other hand...

They sighed.

On the other hand... they were a big help, in that regard. Plus, she's good company.

They sighed again, placing their head in their hands.

Feelings. They hated them.

But, they could never hate Kaalaa.

This week was a bit hectic home-life wise, i'm back in my dorm for college + my birthday is Super Soon (tomorrow for us Americans, in fact!) so i didn't find too much time to write new stuff, but I still got something.

So, take some drabble of my favorite rarepair, Sugiura/Higashi :)

Sugiura hears Higashi’s voice again, closer this time. “I had no idea. I’m so sorry-”

“No, I didn’t contact you guys for so long, I should’ve-” Sugiura starts to ramble again, his anxiety starting to take over again.

“Fumiya.”

Sugiura freezes at the sound. His first name sounds so different coming from Higashi. The way his voice carries it, like it’s the most precious thing he’s ever said. He feels Higashi’s hand on the small of his back.

“I understand. Just, let us be there for you, ok?”

Sugiura looks up at Higashi and opens his mouth to respond, but nothing comes out.

“Or, at least, let me be there for you.” Higashi clarifies with a smile.

Sugiura closes his mouth and nods. 

“Alright.” Higashi confirms with a chuckle.
