Please enjoy these new bug fic recs because I think we all collectively went, “oh no he’s hot” over this past week.
untitled ficlet part 1 & part 2 / st-danger / Aeon x Aether x Dew
Prompt: Dew in the middle of a quintessence sandwich. Aether teaching Aeon how to use his magick in all the ways Dew likes best. Showing him where and how to touch, what to say. How to manipulate his little body and worm his way into his mind. Just really fuckin' him up.
untitled ficlet / p1nkcanoe / Phantom x Swiss
Prompt: Swiss gives someone of your choice good jfk (maybe on the tour bus? in front of everyone? after a show?)
Star Pupil / ghoul-slime / Aether x Dew x Phantom
Aether may not be going out on tour with the rest of the ghouls, but that doesn't mean he can't teach Phantom how to properly care for Dewdrop in his absence.
untitled ficlet / gayrickgrimes / Dew x Phantom x Rain
okay this is less them wrecking rain and more of them being wrecks about rain.
something in the way you move / papaslittlesunshine / Aether x Phantom
“Be a good girl and take it.”
untitled ficlet / hypnoneghoul / Phantom x Rain x Swiss
Prompt: Rain asking Phantom “wanna to practise” then getting caught kissing by your choice of ghoul and THEN a confession in the heat of the moment leading third ghoul to say “I think I deserve a kiss (too)” to Phantom and then they ALL have a good time
infinite skin / high-imperatrix / dew x phantom x rain
It's no secret that the shy new ghoul has it bad for Dew and Rain. After weeks of mulling over the possibilities, the couple finally invites Phantom in to play. A long, sticky night of depravity commences.
untitled ficlet / iamthecomet / Aeon x Aether
18. "Don't you dare fucking cum, because if you do, I'll cum too."
between comfort and chaos / riconas / Aeon x Dew
“All yours,” Dew says sweetly, rubbing his face into Aeon’s hands like a cat. His voice goes all soft and breathy when he’s like this, eager to give. He has the loveliest voice when it isn’t being used to swear. Aeon tilts Dew’s head curiously, like he’s examining a foreign specimen. “Really?” “Yeah.” Dew entertains Aeon’s examining, neck going slack and pliable like a ragdoll. “All for you. You can use me.” “Use you?” Aeon isn’t too sure about that. The word makes him feel a little uneasy—he shouldn’t be using Dewdrop. If anything, it should be him on that end, gratefully accepting everything and anything Dewdrop deigns to give. “Tell me how.” or Aeon people pleases too close to the sun. Dew isn’t okay with that.
(major shout out to @jimothybarnes for prompting at least three of these if not more. you absolute legend ♡)

Clone High: It's About the Contrast
Tumblr media
Something I've seen a lot of is Clone High S2 redesigns. People taking the new characters of S2 of Clone High and changing the designs, usually cause they don't like what we did get. Some of these are neat. I saw one that tries to combine their new designs with their S1 designs from when these characters were incidentals. A lot of them seem to take the personality out of the design. Most of them look hard to animate, but that isn't the point I'm trying to make.
People seem to really dislike these new designs. There are valid design reasons (some are a bit overdesigned, and they definitely clash with the S1 designs) but it just seems people are mad at them in concept. Especially Harriet Tubman. How could they turn Harriet Tubman into... this?
Tumblr media
It's outrageous! And yeah, it is. It's supposed to be. That's the joke. In the 20 years since Season 1, the Clone High Fandom has grown and shipped and gossiped and a lot of people have forgotten that the incongruity of the characters is part of the joke. Joan of Arc was not in fact a goth girl who constantly thirsts over tall men. The same goes for several other characters.
Harriet Tubman isn't Harriet Tubman. She shares her DNA but she is decidedly a different person. That's the point of Clone High, the show is less about historical figures interacting in a high school setting and more about how these people might be if they were raised under different circumstances. Ideologically, Clone High is an argument against great man theory.
Gandhi changed the world. But when he isn't born and raised in British controlled India under very specific circumstances, he's just some guy. The same goes for Cleopatra, JFK, Joan of Arc,, Jesus Christ, and yes, even Confucius, Frida Kahlo, and Harriet Tubman. It's circumstances that create people, not people making the circumstances.
Imagine if you had the chance to have a conversation with the real Harriet Tubman. What do you think she would say? How would she act? I'm sure she'd probably be an interesting and nice person, but she wouldn't be a character fit for a wacky animated sitcom. You don't really expect former slaves to be bubbly like that.
It both literally and metaphorically takes the basic DNA of these figures and subverts and modifies their existence through modern society, or rather the tropes of teen dramas. Not just asking what would happen if these people were in high school but if they were ordinary people. Instead of being a hero whose life is in danger, Harriet Tubman is a girl who gossips and whose biggest worry is becoming a basic bitch.
Look at the S2 finale. The board of shadowy figures have assembled their great men and put them in competition. They'll weed out the best of the best to become the great men of the future. And out of about 100 clones, only one actually makes it to the end. Everyone else fails. The one clone who does make it, Joan, is born again into extreme circumstances. Being left for dead by her friends and suffering a psychic break. There is no such thing as great men, just extraordinary situations.
I think this theme of subverting these legendary figures is something that should be kept in mind when talking about the show. It isn't really a show about historical figures, just historically-themed characters. And that's okay. It's very funny when done well! It's a cartoon and it really acts like it. It was never asking to be taken as a serious drama and definitely wasn't asking to be a commentary on historical figures. It simply parodied its contemporary teen dramas a little too well and we got invested in joke characters and everything changed. The S2 writers were in a very unenviable place, and I applaud them for taking things in bold new directions. If you haven't watched S2 or even just watched a few episodes, I'd recommend giving it another chance. It's not perfect but it gets better as it continues. It has its own distinct feel and style while still understanding what "the point" of the original was.
Also Kahlopatra for life ❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜

It’s been three years since Omar laid eyes on you, since the day he dropped you off at JFK airport.  You’d had to catch a flight back to Delaware in order to care for your father. He’s thought about you often since then, wondering what you’re up to, how you’re doing.
When he sees you again at a crime scene in Brooklyn, he can’t believe it. He had no idea you were back in New York. The Human Trafficking Task Force operates out of their Brooklyn-Queens residency, they’ve been called in because Omar’s case has developed into something unexpected. Back in the day that’s where you’d been assigned, it looks like you’ve returned to the position.
For a moment it feels like the world stands still. Your eyes meet and it’s like the past three years haven’t happened. It comes back in a rush, all of those emotions chasing through his body, His feelings haven’t changed, not really, he’s still as in love with you as he was the day he dropped you off at the airport.
You don’t get a chance to talk, you’re busy interviewing the victims, reallocating them to the relevant resources. Part of your work is to ensure that each victim receives the support they deserve, in both an immediate and long-term capacity. This is the thing that you excel at, victim support. You have a dedication that goes far beyond the normal scope of any investigator he’s ever met. Your empathy is one of the reasons he fell in love with you in the first place, your ability to instil a sense of peace in the chaos that surrounds you.
It becomes a joint operation; you end up in the JOC discussing the details of the trafficking ring you’ve been investigating over the past few months. The story you tell is harrowing, he can tell it’s made it’s mark on you, you wear it on your features as you describe the conditions that you found the girls in, some as young as eleven. It sickens every single one of them.
He catches up with you in the breakroom afterwards. You’re trying to stifle a yawn behind your hand as you stir four sugars into your coffee mug.  You usually take one.
“Burning the candle at both ends?” He asks as he picks up his own mug and decants coffee and hot water into it.
“I’ve been on this case for the past thirty-six hours.” You tell him, rubbing the space between your eyes. “Your crime scene wasn’t the first one I’ve been to in the past few days.”
It goes like that with human trafficking. If the smugglers get even the faintest inclination that they’ve been compromised, they move the stock or dispose of it.
“I didn’t know you were back in the city.” He says quietly as he stirs in the creamer.
You lean against the worksurface alongside of him, your shoulder brushing against his.
“I got back a few months ago.” You say as you raise your mug to your lips. “I kept meaning to reach out, but things got a little busy.”
Omar knows how it works. You’d come back to New York, hit the ground running. He knows you would have wanted to move on after Delaware, immerse yourself in the work. It’s how you dealt with a lot of things.
“I’m sorry about your dad.” He says softly, studying your features.
He sees the sadness in you, you’ve done well to hide it but the grief it clings to you like a well-worn coat.
“We had a good couple of years together, but he declined quickly towards the end.” You shake your head as you clasp the mug to your chest. “It’s the nature of it you know?”
He does know, his uncle had died of the same thing not long before he met you. He’d seen the toll the treatment took, how quickly things can change and go downhill. That’s why he never begrudged you leaving, he wanted you to have as much time with your father as you possibly could. His hand takes yours as he meets your eyes.
“I do know.” He says, his thumb tracing over the hollow of your wrist.
You give him a watery smile, squeezing his fingers before the door to the break room opens and you release it.
You’re exhausted by the time case is over, it’s been over seventy-two hours and you’re running on fumes. He can see the weariness in you, it’s in the way you rub at your red-rimmed eyes, the single tap pf your finger on the keyboard as scroll through the report checking for errors. He knows what the aftermath is like, when the adrenaline leaks out of your body and the fatigue crashes in on you.
“Let me take you home.” He says, his hand coming to rest upon your shoulder, his thumb chasing over the nape of your neck. He massages that tense little knot between your shoulder blades, and you make that noise, the one he still hears in his dreams. “You’re too tired to drive.”
He walks you to your apartment door, fingertips brushing yours as you walk side by side. That connection between the two of you, it’s still there thrumming just under the surface, the way it always has been.
When he steps into your apartment, he can’t help but smile. The essence of your personality emanates from the walls, his fingertips run over the blanket that’s folded over the back of the couch, the one your mother quilted. He remembers it draped over the bottom of your bed in the last place.
“Come to bed with me.” You say softly, your fingers entwining with his. “I know you’re tired too.”
There’s such tenderness in his gaze as you undress each other, his warm hands drawing the fabric from your form. His thumb chases over the line of your jaw.
“All I want to do is to climb into bed and hold you.” He whispers as he looks into your eyes. “The way that we used to.”
“I want that too.” You tell him.
When you get into bed, Omar wraps his arms around you and draws you close. He buries his face into the curve of your throat, inhaling the scent of nectarines that clings to your skin.
“I’ve missed this.” He whispers as his lips ghost across your ear. “I missed you.”
Love Omar? Don’t miss any of his stories by joining the taglist here.

Topher: don't look into it to much
Abe: I don't know [it] feels like there's [something]
you're not telling [me]
Tumblr media
Topher: I don't think he [saw] us/ I don't think he [knows]
Topher: and it better stay that way, got it?
Joan: you're ...
this is an analysis?? theory?? of what I think the plot of the episode could be (assuming this is real and it's the same episode)
English isn't my first language so I'm sorry if it sounds weird or the vocabulary isn't the best or something is wrong!! I don't want to rewrite it we die like MEN
first of all, I want to make clear why I think this is episode 5 or later episodes:
-‌abe and topher are talking like nothing happened
-‌abe worries about topher again
‌-topher and joan hangout
‌-both topher and Joan are planning something
-‌it seems like they have talked about it before
I'm a Tophabe shipper and I'm delusional, so I think the plot is that topher is trying to confess to Abe or he's trying to invite him on a date and Joan helps him, I'm not sure, but I'm 100% sure they have a plan and it involves abe
but, Joan isn't close to Topher like they're not even friends, they barely interact in the show, so I think Topher recurred to Joan as last choice because yk joan and abe were best friends, but why would Joan help him? yeah Joan still has feelings for jfk, but she has feelings for Abe too! so why would she ruin her opportunity to be with abe?
it has been shown that Joan is willing to ruin her chances with abe if she thinks it's better for him, but Topher is an horrible option and unless that mf grows as a person he's terrible for abe, but Joan doesn't know that, and I think she doesn't even know that abe and topher were friends, so
maybe topher took advantage of that and lied to her about his relationship with abe and he made it look like the best friendship ever so she would help him (he's delusional just like me), and maybe Joan thought it could be nice if Abe has a new start in his love life, specially with a new clone, and since Joan barely knows Topher she doesn't have a bad impression about him and believes him but that mf is a LIAR
also, the main reason why I think this is a tophabe episode is because Topher is so nervous when it comes to abe, in the image with Abe it seems like maybe he said something about his plan by accident ("don't look to much into it") and he obviously doesn't want Abe to know because it's about him
the second image is a little confusing for the messy texts, I have two interpretations but in both topher doesn't wants Abe to know ,"I don't think he knows"
but If the text says "I don't think he saw us" IT JUST MAKES ME THINK MORE THAT THIS IS TOPHABE:
he Just doesn't want abe to know about his plan, he also doesn't want abe to know he's been hanging out with Joan, I believe it's because abe can misinterpreted and think topher and Joan are dating, and topher told him that Joan was his crush (in case they remember that) and if he wants to date abe the last thing he wants is him thinking topher got a girlfriend
also Joan is calm so obviously she doesn't know the reason why Topher is so worried
also abe already has his suspicions ("I don't know [it] feels like there's [something] you're not telling [me]")
(I'm not totally convinced that image is from the same episodes, maybe is from the next ?? idk basing me in the frame and time thing the topher and abe image happens first but it feels a little weird idk)
SO FINALLY IN SHORT THE PLOT GOES LIKE THIS (maybe split in two episodes):
despite everything Topher and Abe rebuild their friendship, topher realizes his feelings for abe and tries something to date him, maybe his first plan fails or needs help to start it, and who better to help him but Abe's best friend? so he asks Joan for help, even though she has feelings for abe too she thinks the best for abe is to move forward so she helps topher, they start hanging out so she can help him, because of that topher starts to acts weird around Abe, Abe notices that and confronts him, topher avoids the question and just tells him to not worry
okay that's all jf we get another leak im gonna EAT IT UP and analyze it too

Hey! No suitcases left? I was interested into one oft the north-east from the US
First of all, congratulations on your MBA! Graduated with honors from Harvard. Pretty impressive. But I get it: with the burden of student loan debt on your shoulders, even with that cool new job as an investment banker, you still can't make any big leaps. There you go hoping for something to go with your Ivy League look. I'm afraid I don't have anything from BOS, BDL, PVD or even JFK…. But I could offer you a sports bag from EWR. Adidas logo, but says "Balenciaga" on it. Looks damn expensive! Anyway, I don't begrudge it to you. And I hope there are also sports clothes in it. Because let's be honest: You have neglected your body a little bit in the last years.
And indeed: There are sports clothes in the bag. Not the kind of stuff you wear to the gym. Street style gear. All new, all pretty expensive looking. All completely unusable for you. First of all, it doesn't fit you. And second, you won't need much else to wear for the next few months besides a dark blue suit with a white shirt. Unless you have that much time to change for sleep. I recommend you sleep naked, though. Saves time. And trust me, in your new job, you're going to need every freaking second of sleep you can get.
No matter, to put the whole thing on ebay or to sell it at a seconc hand store, you don't have the time. You put the bag in the corner of your small and expensive downtown apartment. After all, the gold chain is pretty cool. You can wear it sometime. Just to sleep tonight. Tomorrow you start your new job. You should do without such extravagances.
At night you dream wildly. About your new job. About university. But also about expensive sports cars racing in the city center. And of orgies in expensive clubs. You wake up with a very impressive morning wood. And obviously you came more than once tonight. Fuck, now you have to make up the bed. You don't have the time at all. Then breakfast will have to be cancelled. You're not too late on your first day at work.
Fuck! Where are your shoes? There, where they should be, are a lot of sneakers. And a few boots. But no oxfords, no loafers, no shoes that match your suit. You just take a pair of sneakers that look reasonably discreet. And in the rush you forget to take off the chain. When you see all the tie-wearers in the elevator, you notice it. You think about taking off the chain quickly. But that would look even less confident.
The first day at work is still fairly relaxed. A lot of organizational stuff. You are whipped into the company philosophy. You have to sign dozens of forms on compliance issues. And when the day is over, you're already wondering if this was the right decision to start here. As you leave, the partner who supervised you and the other newcomers during the day says "One more word about the dress code. You don't necessarily need a tie. And it's also okay not to wear sensible shoes, but to come in $1,500 sneakers." He's clearly looking in the direction of your shoes. "But it's only okay if it's Friday. And if you're a partner here. Ladies, gentlemen, just to remind you, it's Thursday."
The other new colleagues all know each other. Either their parents already work here. Or they've been to school or country club together. They don't even ask you if you want to join them to toast the start of your career. You wouldn't have wanted to anyway. You need fresh air now. And you walk home. Not far from your apartment, you pass a club. The bouncer looks you in the face, looks at your shoes, looks you in the face again. And nods appreciatively. He asks you if you would like to have a drink. You smile and say, maybe tomorrow. Today you just want to go to bed.
Fuck, if this goes on, you'll run out of sheets. Or you'll have to sleep with a condom in the future. As you dry off after your shower, you're surprised at how firm your belly feels. You have lost weight. Quite noticeably. But that doesn't happen overnight… However, not all shirts and suits usually disappear overnight. There are only black suits in your closet. And black shirts. Many made of shiny fabrics. Some, fortunately, made of office-appropriate fabrics. All in all, your closet looks completely different. A real chic spacious built-in closet, with all the clothes neatly lined up on identical hangers. And almost everything is black. Looks great. But it wasn't like this yesterday….
You can't think about it much longer now. You put on a black cotton shirt and a black virgin wool suit. Both from Italian designers. Tightly cut, emphasizing your slim body. And if you're already out of the ordinary, white sneakers with a black suit don't matter either. Yes, you don't look like a serious investment banker. But you look hot. Really hot! But you get the receipt immediately when you arrive at the office. The cute guy at the reception is still visibly excited and flirts with you. Your supervisor just yells "Hey, wetback, come to my office right now!" through the open-plan office. When you don't respond, there's a "You in the black shirt! Now!" Damn, you're off to a fantastic start at work.
Your boss asks you how long you've been in the U.S. and how good your English is. You answer in your best East Coast English that you were born here and that your English is quite good. Okay, replies your boss. That's good. Because they have a customer for whom it is important that you are fluent in English and Spanish. You want to answer that you had German, French and Latin in school, but you nod and answer "¡No hay problema, jefe, puedo hacerlo!" Fuck! Your boss grins, slaps you on the shoulder and hands you a folder. All the access codes for protected folders are in there. You should look at it until Monday morning. Then you have an appointment with the customer in New Jersey. Don't worry, he's coming with you. But he needs an interpreter. And he adds that if something doesn't seem quite legal to you, it probably isn't quite legal.
By the time you leave the office around 10:00 p.m., your skull is smoking. The client seems to be making a lot of dough with a lot of different businesses. Some are legal, some are a little bit legal, and some are obviously completely illegal. And your job now is to restructure the corporation so that everything looks at least perfectly legal. Actually, you thought that you were only supposed to trade a few shares here. You didn't expect anything like this. On your way home, the doorman greets you like an old friend. You ask if your place at the bar is still free. The bouncer answers with a grin, "Hermano, tu sitio en el bar está siempre libre para ti". Then you realize that you had greeted the bouncer in Spanish. You go into the club. You start to dance a bit to the salsa music. When you arrive at your place at the bar, your glass of Havana Club Maximo Extra Anejo is already at your seat. You smile at the bartender. He leans over the counter, gives you a kiss and unbuttons your shirt. "Jefe, pareces un contable cuando no muestras tu musculoso pecho." You grin, take a sip of your rum and look around. It's still quiet. But then, it's still early in the evening.
It is already dawn when you leave the club. Completely confused. You had fun all evening. Everyone seemed to know you. Twice someone gave you a blowjob in the toilet. And all this time you were not surprised. But when you went to the bathroom to wash your hands, you saw your reflection in the mirror. And it was not you. You are tanned. You have a carefully trimmed black beard. And your chest, shiny with sweat from dancing, is not only well worked out. It is also inked. When you arrive home, undressed and standing in front of the bathroom mirror in your black silk pajama pants, brushing your teeth, you take another close look at the tattoos. They are works of art. You've always been damn proud of them.
Actually, you can't afford to be, given your deadline on Monday, but Saturday belongs to sports. One hour of cardio, one hour of swimming, one hour of lifting weights. And to top it all off, an hour of boxing. In the gym, everyone calls you Balenciaga. Because of your sports bag, you're known as a sore thumb. You don't care. Here you are at home. There are few places where you've spent more time. And hey, there are worse nicknames! Your bros ask you if you're still coming to go drink unos vasos. Not today, tomorrow you have to be fit. On Monday you must not make a mistake.
On Sunday you are certainly not the only one who is in the office. But there you do not care what the others say about your outfit. You look good in the Prada tracksuit. When you step into the elevator at 6:00 in the morning, you don't see anyone yet. Not even the cleaning staff or security. You boot up your computer and continue reading business reports. Fuck, your client is a genius. It's almost impossible to recognize a pattern in the tangle and to get to the bottom of it. But slowly you see through the construct. You startle when someone grabs your shoulder. Your boss is standing behind you. And tells you that he has been watching you for an hour. It is now 8:00 pm. You are doing a good job. But now is a good time to call it a day on a Sunday.
On the way home you take a break for a glass of rum. But somehow you can't concentrate. You can't relax either. Even fiddling with the bartender's nipples is no fun. You say goodbye and go home. You can't say why, but your apartment isn't your home anymore either. Yes, that's your clothes hanging in the closet. Yes, those are your stuff in the bathroom. But everything feels wrong. You don't belong here. In fact, you don't belong in this body either. You definitely don't belong in an investment bank. You toss and turn in your bed. Until you fall asleep.
You wake up with the morning sun. One of the things you love about your penthouse is the view across the Hudson River to the Manhattan skyline at sunrise. Yes, New Jersey is not New York. But the view of New York is the better one. You take a few laps in the pool on the roof terrace. Until your assistant tells you the guys from the bank are here. They should sit down on the terrace.
Tumblr media
You take a quick look at them. You haven't met the fellow yet. He looks like he's fresh out of college. Let's see if he's any good. You've been working with his boss for a while. He'll do anything for a line of coke. But he does it well. And you need good men around you to keep the place running.

What's Up With Jack? - A JFK Clone High Character Analysis Written By a Mentally Unwell Highschool Student
I'm gonna start this essay off with 5 words: JFK is an iconic character. He's not as iconic as…Spongebob, sure, but he is the glue that holds together Clone High as a whole because of his character. I've written an essay on him once, and since then I've always loved him and he was so interesting to analyze. Though, I felt as if I had gotten a few things wrong in that one analysis. So, I'm remaking it. In addition, I'm adding some more stuff and correcting what I've gotten wrong.
We know who JFK is. Not the former US president, the cartoon character. The brute, dumb womanizing jock. The one that's used for comedic relief from time to time. The silly himbo that people have grown to love since 2020.
While Clone High is a very satire show that makes fun of various teen tropes, we get ourselves some very interesting characters like Joan, the shadowy board, etc. So in a way, making this analysis is very silly of me but I'm a Clone High obsessed nerd who relates to some of the characters. Most of all, JFK. I want to highlight some elements that most of the fandom doesn't really dig into that much. Good news for JoanFK and Jfabe fans, I can't infodump without mentioning both of these ships.
This is a JFK Clone High essay, and why I care so fucking much. Contains season 2 spoilers.
LGBTQ: THE SEXUAL MINORITY
To state the obvious, JFK has gay foster dads. Something that you don't see in many other 2000s cartoons. Most people would expect the last thing is for a jock to have same sex foster parents. Jack seeks advice from them. He loves them. However, we do get moments where JFK gets confused about his own sexual orientation at times. For instance, he messes up his words and gets flustered around "John Dark", who is actually Joan. In the end, however, he becomes relieved at the thought of not being attracted to the same sex.
This could either mean that he was "intimidated" by his own sexual orientation, or the fact that he's bisexual in a country that many sexual minorities struggle through– even today. Even if this might be a stretch, this is the 2000s, I must remind you. It was a VERY different time for people who identified with their orientations. Since JFK is so popular in the school, he could've become afraid of ruining his own reputation because he was simply bisexual. So what does he do? He goes to his foster parents for advice.
A lot of people in the world aren't very accepting of people who are queer (hell, people shunned Abe for kissing his friend Gandhi. And while Abe isn't attracted to Gandhi in any way, I feel like this could be a good example).
Let's put ourselves in JFK's shoes for a moment. You'd happen to be a kid growing up in the 80s-90s. You have gay foster parents. You'd get made fun of for having gay parents. I think that at some point during Jack's childhood, he was probably ridiculed for having parents of the same sex. It's possible.
His Personality, His Reputation, And His Feelings
JFK loves receiving praise. He pulls constantly, he's the captain of the football team, and he likes making himself look nice. But it's very obvious that he hides his feelings, he wants to make himself look tough SO much that he's almost forgotten the one thing: It's okay to feel human emotions. JFK has mentioned before that the only girl who ever gave him feelings (before Joan came in) was Cleo– and even if she did, the two were in a toxic relationship. They argued with each other constantly, they put each other down.
This could suggest that he's only ever felt way too empty when he was around with other girls, so Cleo coming into his life brought a little color into his world. Just…not for long. He has a deep fear of breaking up with Joan and losing her, because he has abandonment issues. Yes, JFK, the asshole jock, has abandonment issues, and it's been right in front of our eyes. He himself demonstrates a genuine fear of losing someone close to us.
Now to talk about one of my favorite episodes where JFK gets some character development. Litter Kills: Litterally. If you don't know the premise of this episode, JFK loses his best friend, Ponce, due to him being killed by litter. And. That's pretty much it, everyone go home
Seriously though, while the episode itself is pretty stupid and hilarious, it also remains one of the emotional Clone High episodes. When Ponce dies, JFK is devastated, clearly. He lost one of his only best friends, and as the funeral for Ponce went on, JFK didn't care about his reputation, he didn't care how insane he looked to everyone, he only wanted to be with his friend. But even in the current situation he was in, JFK first refused to be comforted by Abe. This is also the moment of one of the first ever times he ever felt a warm embrace. And by his enemy, of all people.
Towards the end of the episode, we can see that JFK is at least starting to move on.
Now, on to season 2 JFK, I do believe that he had some sort of character growth ever since Joan came into his life, which brings me to number 3:
Loneliness And Insecurities
JFK is noticeably happier when he's with Joan, correct. She's the only person he's ever felt comfortable being with compared to Cleo, whereas the two were in a completely toxic relationship back in season 1.
I want to remind you all that Joan is genuinely the only woman JFK has ever loved, so the thought of breaking up with her makes him…anxious. He has an irrational fear of losing her, same as he lost Cleo (though, the two remained friends). In Anxious Times At Clone High, JFK avoids Joan so she wouldn't break up with him. He runs away from his problems in this episode, to be exact. When he's not with Joan, he is prone to overthinking.
Joan and JFK do share something in common, they both struggle in actually making friends. But in season 2 episode 2, Joan makes friends faster than JFK does. He's spent most of his highschool years being a womanizing stud, that he came to the realization that he actually doesn't have any friends. His only friend was his girlfriend.
So, he resorts to crying in the boys restroom. Which is where we see him become friends with Confucius, as he invites him over to his mansion for a boys night. A very convenient thing that caught my eye was: Confucius also struggles in making friends. So he and JFK also share a thing in common. This is one of the first friends he ever made, mind you.
JFK admits to the fact that he's a "loser with zero friends", after getting absolutely demolished in an internet argument against Topher Bus.
So, JFK is a very insecure person, got it. He insults himself over having no friends. He's afraid of losing someone close to him because he fears he's not good enough for her. He's so scared about the thought of her breaking up with him that it pushes him out of his comfort zone. Though, as the episodes progressed, we do see JFK gaining many other friendships, even becoming friends with his former rival, Abe.
JoanFK (And Why It Didn't Work Out)
I will start off with this section by saying that I do not dislike JoanFK, I personally think they are very cute. They have a great ship dynamic. Goth girl x dumb jock. But, and this is a very lukewarm take: I feel like their break up was fair.
Saved By The Knoll was the breaking point, where in one of the scenes, JFK…cheats on Joan by making out with Harriet. And while they both apologized and admitted it to her, it's still treated as cheating by Joan (however forgives them both in the end).
I believe that JFK letting Joan break up with him in Spring Broken was a very responsible thing to do of him, and he goes on about how Joan needs someone with her that's not just sexually. And JFK…makes a lot of sex jokes. He's not a perfect person. He has flaws in relationships, this includes Joan. Even though it was a pretty emotional scene, and Joan was saddened by JFK's suggestion, they are able to work things out in episode 8, Sexy Ed.
You get where I'm going with this. I personally think that JFK and Joan are better off as friends, they have an excellent platonic duo dynamic that could work out so well. The whole entire relationship thing was doomed to fail, and couldn't last long as a result. And while they both look out for each other and care for each other, I don't think I'm the only one who thought that the relationship was quickly gonna sink like the titanic.
Jfabe (And Why It Does Work Out)
I'm not saying JFK and Abe have to be a romantic couple, like JoanFK, they could also form a cool duo dynamic that we pretty much have little to see so far. I can only hope that in season 3, we could have more moments between them where they're just a powerful brotp.
I'd like to point out that these two are complete opposites; Abe is tall and lanky while JFK is short and buff. I like the thought of the tall loser boyfriend x short jock boyfriend ship dynamic. They both influenced each other's goals, Abe was determined to get Cleo to be with him because JFK was competing against him to also get the girl, and JFK wanted to win the presidential election because Abe was getting himself into danger (as said by Joan). In season 2 episode 10 however, they both agreed to the fact that, "Hey, we actually do great as a team!"
I believe that JFK and Abe could work out things if they were to be in a relationship together, such as JFK learning from his previous break up that he needs to improve. I figured that Abe could be his emotional support. The one who's always there for him, willing to help JFK out whenever he needs it. Just wanted to share my thoughts.
Conclusion
For a satirical highschool comedy, JFK is an interesting antagonist to supporting character despite being the stereotypical highschool bully, and that's probably part of why people like him so much. While they have watered him down a bit in season 2 I couldn't be more grateful that we at least got some more JFK content to work with. He has been rotting my brain asides from the show itself i think i need help . Thanks for sticking around

Kind of a college au but not really idk how to explain it basically they have more choices in what they wanna do like they don't have to be a world leader they don't even have to go to college.
Im unsure what cleo would do cause in season one she actually does show concern about the college she goes to but it is the future she doesn't seem worried about it in s2 shed either do twitch streamer stuff to get money or shed go to college and cheat her way out of some of the classes
I think abe wouldn't change too much cause he doesn't feel too pressured to change that much. I could see him bring like im gonna wait a little bit before i go to college I think topher would hate change and hate the change of high school to nothing. Its not that he doesn't enjoy it he enjoys it the first week cause now he has more time to himself but also he'd be weirded out by the change of schedule also he needs glasses he hates it (also looked it up apparently his clone father had blonde hair as a kid??? He def dyes it to me)
topher and abe hang out a little bit more mainly cause abe was trying to be nice letting him hang out with jfk and confucius (i imagine they originally boycott clne high college but they end up going later anyway except jfk and confucius caise topher and abe got bored and topher says he did it because he was bored which is true but he was really just following abe Also maybe topher comes to terms with being gay it takes a while though I need to write a fic but I don't know much about college that's pretty obvious tho

Diego's Self Discovery Side Quest
Diego (and to some extent Sparrow Ben though we don't see all of his journey) seems to have this fascinating hyper-warp-speed realisation of his heritage. Obvs his actor is Mexican-American, but this isn't a big part of his character until S3 ~~The series of Self Actualisation~~ what I find both endearingly hilarious and fascinating is the speed Diego realises and accepts this part of himself:
Klaus compliments Diego for looking like Antonio Banderas. Diego accused of the murder of his crush, JFK. Diego named as "A Cuban Exile" in the TV broadcast about said assassination. Diego mutters "Cuban huh", considering it.
Jump to the sparrow timeline - all taking place in about a week after the above - Diego has gone All In on his potential lineage. Form the briefcase promo he's depicted with a Mexican sticker to indicate where he was born, does Diego know this, or is he buying into the Cuban as an answer to a question not doubt Reggie didn't pay any time to? He's not had a lot of time to research but I'm sure he'd get from Cuban to Mexican given time, maybe he will in S4, has he already been identifying as Mexican-American precious to this or left wondering?
He's speaking Spanish to Stan as a form of bonding, he's using it when angry to express himself and arguing with Ben who goes right back in his own heritage language.
The mad (or really, really sad) beauty of this is that in no where from childhood (the snippets we get anyway) through S1 and most of S2 do we see Diego lean into this side of himself (to my memory at least, unless someone remembers different? any easter eggs?)...
Has he thought of it before and now just decides to go all in once it's 'acknowledged'? Are those language classes, such as Spanish, that they got taught as kids now resonating with him more? Did little Diego always value the language and think about his heritage but just hide it from the others? Did he get introduced to the concept of race when a child, when doing missions or when leaving the mansion? Has he come into his own and is exploring a new aspect of himself or is he finally feeling confident and comfortable enough to share this part of himself around his family?
Given Diego's ability to make very quick-fire changes of opinion when presented with information, it could work either way, but part of me loves the idea that someone on a 60's TV said 'Cuban' and he thought, huh, yeah that works and it answered something for him and became part of himself just like that. Love him <3

New York City Dates with Ryan McMahon
Summary: you and Ryan travel to New York during winter time (pretend ur from new york in this thanks)
Word Count: 900
12 days of fics
main masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You and your boyfriend, Ryan, just got off your seven hour flight from Dublin to your home state of New York. The two of you spent last year's winter season in Dublin and decided that this year would be spent in New York.
“God, nothing’s worse than JFK during the holidays,” you mutter to him as you wait for the uber you called to arrive. The uber arrives and Ryan opens the door for you to go inside the car while he helps put your things into the trunk.
The ride to your upper west side apartment isn’t as long as you thought it was going to be. Thankfully, the two of you just missed rush hour traffic, and it was a better option than having to lug your things on the subway.
The two of you get out of the uber, grab your things, and start making your way to your apartment. Since you began dating Ryan, you’ve lived in both Dublin and New York over the years, traveling frequently between the two cities.
After hours of traveling, you finally make it up to your beloved apartment. As soon as you get inside, you plop down onto your couch ready for sleep.
“C’mon, let's get you into bed,” Ryan says to you as he strokes a bit of your hair. You sigh, knowing he’s right, and get up to get ready for bed.
You do your skincare and haircare routine and get into your pajamas while Ryan does the same. The two of you meet in your bed and practically crash as soon as your heads hit the pillow and sleep like babies through the night.
Your eyes flutter awake and you’re met with Ryan looking softly at you.
“Mornin’,” he says to you as he gives you a small peck on your forehead.
“Morning,” you say back to him, falling more into his chest. Your apartment is cold, but being wrapped in his arms is keeping you warm.
After a few more minutes, the two of you get up and start getting ready for the day. You guys plan on walking around the city and doing some fun touristy things together. After the two of you are both ready, you leave your apartment building and get started with your busy day.
First stop is finding a place to get lunch. The two of you spot a small cafe and decide to eat there. Once the two of you finish eating, you start making your way to Central Park to ice skate.
The walk goes by quickly and before you know it, you’re at the rink. Thankfully, the rink isn’t too crowded with it being so close to Christmas.
“I’ll go get the skates,” Ryan says to you as he lets go of your hand and walks to the skate rental booth. You sit down and start to take off your shoes. He comes back and hands your skates to you as you mutter a quick thank you. He gets down on the floor in front of you and begins to put them on for you.
“You don’t have to do that,” you say to him, smiling.
“I know,” he replies, continuing to tie them anyway.
Although the two of you had been together for a few years, he always managed to make it feel like it’s the beginning again.
Once he’s done with that, he puts on his own skates. He stands up, takes your hand, and the two of you start making your way to the ice. He gets on the ice first and lets you follow suit.
“I haven’t been ice skating in so long,” you say as you try to get into a groove.
“I can’t even tell you the last time I went,” Ryan says back to you.
The two of you are both equally bad, but it’s a fun time regardless. The day is full of you falling and him laughing at you while helping you up and the reverse. The first time you fell, Ryan made sure to take a picture of you fallen on the ice before helping you up, and you made sure to do the same to him once he fell.
After a little while, the two of you have decided that you’ve had enough and that you’d head down to Rockefeller Center to look at the Christmas Tree. After the short walk, you make it to the square. Once in front of the tree, Ryan asks someone to take a picture of the two of you in front of the tree. It’s a little cheesy, but the photo turns out cute.
The two of you start to wander back to your apartment. You’re in no rush, so you window shop and go into numerous stores on the walk back. You make your way into a cute record shop and start browsing the vinyls. After a while of browsing, the two of you leave the store and make it back to your apartment.
After a long day, it feels nice being back at your apartment. You cook a quick dinner for the two of you while listening to music and talking. You and Ryan spend the rest of the night cuddling on the couch and watching movies. The apartment is dimly lit and warm due to the fire going in your fireplace. Everything feels perfect, and you can’t wait to see what next year's holiday season will include.

SOME sentences Sunday…SEVERAL sentences Sunday…you get the idea.
Have this baby model Crygi that wrote itself yesterday for my dear @thecollectionsof bc I’ve been really holding out on the Crygi lately and I can only say soon or one day so many times before I feel guilty for abandoning my children
———
Crystal shifts her weight between her feet as she stands in line, an exuberant smile on her face. She clutches a magazine close to her chest, occasionally glancing down at it. But she can’t look long, or she’ll lose it right here in the line at this local bookshop between the woman with five beach reads and the young mother and her child balancing stacks of Pete the Cat books in their hands. Instead, she concentrates her energy on living in the moment; the shop smells like robust coffee beans and the undeniable fragrance of books. The playlist is folksy and she recognizes the Noah Kahan song playing because Gigi had been singing it all summer after they’d taken a coastal weekend away just a month before. The trip had been a surprise, and they’d spent an entire day driving up and down the gorgeous, ritzy coastline of Massachusetts listening to lyrics about how everything’s alright when she calls me back. It couldn’t be more true.
Right now, Gigi’s in a timezone five hours ahead of her filming content for a brand Crystal has never heard of but Gigi absolutely idolizes. She’s been working like crazy, but the constant flow of it all has really helped her boost her name. She offhandedly mentions more than once that Crystal can even quit her just in case job now that Gigi has a steady following, but she hasn’t been able to do that yet. She doesn’t want Gigi to think she’s using her for her newfound money (even though they still bulk shop at Costco and get the cheap takeaway they like on Friday nights Gigi is home).
She gets to the front of the line and reluctantly lets go of the magazine, only long enough to let the cashier scan it.
“I don’t need a bag.” She waves her reusable tote in the air, but the magazine just goes right back into her hands. She holds the cover up for the cashier to see and in a loud, giddy voice she announces “This is my girlfriend.”
Gigi’s the front cover of Vogue, an idea she’d held on to since the start of her accidental modeling career and hadn’t stopped thinking about since. She’d told Crystal the moment she’d found out, sobbing on the phone in the middle of LAX. Crystal had met her at JFK with a bouquet of flowers and a sign that read Vogue cover model Gigi Goode.
Now, she gets to hold the magazine in her hand. Everything her girlfriend has worked so hard for in one binding of glossy papers. Well, two-Crystal’s bought one to keep and the other to cut apart so she can carefully frame the actual cover.
She’s absolutely mooning over the photo; Gigi, clad in a beautiful champagne colored dress that she’d made herself from something she’d gotten off the rack. She’d shortened it, added boning, and restructured the entire thing to turn it from Little House on the Prairie to Real Housewives (or something like that; Crystal’s still workshopping the joke). In the cover photograph the old dress hangs in the background like a ghost. The headline? Farewell, Fast Fashion.
“She made this dress.” Crystal points to the photo, turns around so the woman with the romance novels can see the cover too. “She’s so talented, and just the most beautiful soul you’ll ever meet. And this is just…it’s a lifetime of hard work.”
Crystal’s so close to crying now that she has to peel one hand away from her magazines to wipe at the corner of her eye, but she’s not embarrassed. She can’t feel anything but proud.
On her way out (after stopping to show a few other patrons of the book shop, pointing them to where they keep their magazines) she calls Gigi, who picks up on the first ring.
“My brilliant, talented, beautiful girlfriend, I have a copy of Vogue in my hands as we speak.”
On the other side of the phone, Gigi squeals.
“I haven’t seen it in person yet!” Crystal imagines her jumping up and down, her loose curls bouncing and her smile absolutely illuminating the room.
“I’ll send you a picture. It’s incredible, Geege. You look gorgeous. And I might’ve told everyone in the store that you were my girlfriend because I still can’t believe it.”
“Believe it, Crys. You’re stuck with me for life.”
They speak a little bit longer, Gigi reeling as the photos Crystal scoots over on the sidewalk to take of the magazine come through. It’s even better than she imagined, and she’s dying to see it in person.
“Two days!” She cheers. “One sleep! And then I’ll be home for weeks and we can cuddle and lay around and I can use my fancy Vogue money to take my girlfriend somewhere with the best dessert in the city.”
“Where’s that?”
Gigi laughs.
“I don’t know! But we’ll have two whole weeks to find it!”

Masterlist of all the Kelly-Jacobs kids I have made for my numerous AUs
Honestly, this is mostly so I can keep track of these scamps and my AUs. But I'm putting them here so enjoy
(Also, if you have any questions about the characters or the AUs, please ask, i love talking about my AUs)
My New Dream (single Dad Jack AU)
Faith Cecelia Kelly (Later Kelly-Jacobs)
The only child in this AU
She commonly goes by Fae
Named because of Jack's dream of Santa Fe (yeah Jack really sprained a brain muscle naming his kid)
She also gains the moniker of his "little fairy"
When Davey finds out her full name, he calls her Cece.
(He is the only person that is allowed to call her that. Not even Jack is allowed)
She was born soon after Jack moved to Santa Fe for college and he had a one night stand
She doesn't remember much of her life before meeting Davey when the move to NYC when she's 3
Discovers she's a lesbian when she's 7 and brings her first girlfriend home at age 10
Davey introduces her to baking when she's 5 and by the time she's 20, she is a pro baker on the cusp of owning her own little bakery
The Intricate Chaos Of You (Davey's band AU)
Stella Kelly-Jacobs
She was born via surrogate. Unlike both her dads having dark hair, she is blonde
Because of her blonde hair (and Jack and Davey always using the stars as endearments towards each other (because of Davey's song)) they name her Stella
Unlike her dads, her musical talent is limited to playing the recorder (badly)
She does have Jack's artistic talent
She either wants be a fashion designer or an inventor. There is no in-between and she changes her mind every other day
She is not very fond of the reporters and fans they deal with constantly so she loves it whenever they go back to Santa Fe because it's much more peaceful there
That being said, she has used her dads' fame to get out of trouble in school multiple times.
David Jacobs Guide To Dealing With A Bad Roommate (AKA my roommate AU)
Oliver Kelly Jacobs
He's told the story of how his dads started dating when he was 12
Jack never hears the end of it
What do you mean Aba had to get SHOT for you to confess you like him?
I was going to but the burglers got to him first
He's a little daredevil. He does flips on roller-skates, skateboards and bikes
(His dads dread when he starts learning to drive)
His dream occupation changes about twice a year
Unfortunately for his dads, he never chooses a safe job
(Jack's first grey hair is before he even hits 30 and he 100% blames Ollie)
Even In Silence
Connie Kelly-Jacobs
The oldest of her siblings
In the last chapter of EIS, she's 14
She's named after Connie Francis (who her grandfather (Jack's dad (Francis Sullivan) was named after)
She's loud all of the time (something picked up from all the time spent with Uncle Race)
She loves her siblings but is always in a competition with her brother.
It could be anything: homework, eating, brushing their teeth, she turns it into a competition
She could win everytime if she wants but she makes sure her brother wins just as many times (keeps a tally per week on her phone)
Fitz Kelly-Jacobs
His name comes from JFK's middle name (because his dad's (Jack's) aunt was named after Jackie Kennedy)
He is the middle child and only boy
In the last chapter of EIS he's 12
Almost the complete opposite of his older sister, he's very quiet.
Not that he doesn't talk. More like Ferb from Phineas and Ferb. Only speaks when he feels it's very necessary.
So he normally just uses ASL and is very close to Davey as a result
But he takes after Jack in his love for the drums
If he's sitting down at home, there's a 80% chance his youngest sister is in his lap
Meadow "Mimi" Kelly-Jacobs
The youngest of the siblings
Davey insisted on naming her after Medda somehow
But since she's young, everyone calls her Mimi to simplify it
She's 3 in the last chapter of EIS
A Jack Kelly carbon copy but with all the David Jacobs sass.
Ergo, the best of both her dads
Loves candy (as any child does)
Loves her siblings but has torn both of their hair at least twice when they ignored her in favour of literally anything else
Ice Skater AU
Maariyah "Maari" Kelly-Jacobs
She was adopted when she was 4
She's Punjabi (because I have to project SOMEWHERE)
Oldest by just a few months
Jack teaches all their kids to ice skate and she loves it so much, she decides to persue it as her career
just like dad
Wins her first competiton at 11 and Jack is a blubbering mess over her. She has a screenshot of it as Jack's picture on her phone.
She's a lesbian and meets her future wife at a rink while they're both just practising
Isaac Kelly Jacobs
He was 2 when Jack and Davey adopted him
He's African American. Jack immediately clicked with him because Isaac was orphaned when his mom died of cancer, the same as Jack.
He is normally the target of his siblings' pranks
When he becomes an astronaut, he often jokes in interviews that it was just to get as far as physically possible from them
He's the same age as Maari, just younger by a few months
He is pansexual and meets his partner in high school physics but they don't get together till they meet again years later
Sky Kelly Jacobs
The youngest of the siblings, adopted when they were only a few months old
They were born in Greece and are mixed race
Comes out as non-binary and ace when they're in their last year of middle school
(Jack's reaction to this is screaming "GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL" and Davey rolls his eyes at that)
They're younger than their siblings by 3 years
They use the fame they get from being in a famous family to become a climate change activist (and dabbles in many other big social movements)
(This entire AU is just so >>>>)
Trans Davey AU
Francis "Frankie" Jacobs (later Kelly-Jacobs)
He was born before Davey starts the proper transition
He clicks with Jack immediately when they finally meet (he's 8)
Frankie is super close with his Aunt Sarah because she practically co-parented him up until he was 1
When Jack and Davey run into financial problems and meet Medda who gives them jobs, he becomes the "theatre's little nuisance (affectionate)"
Between the people at the theatre, Davey's family and all their friends, he is the apple of everyone's eyes

I've been trying to figure out how Maalik went from being a bartender to being a hitman's handler/secretary. and i think the answer is the same as how he met said hitman. by complete fucking accident.
It's starts out small, folk may not be able to be consciously aware of Gier or anything that would lead them to believe it exists but they can still see the sort of edges of its presence and the things that are too big to Not see.
the mold that grows where it spends too much time, things that it moved, that feeling of being watched, a bar that becomes known to be the perfect place to go on a first date because if they try anything roofie or roofie adjacent they'll mysteriously end up violently ill and potentially dead from the sort of food poisoning you normally have to eat week old gas station sushi to get.
An entire dude who's face got turned into sludge by turbo mold bc he pulled a gun on Maalik in an attempt to rob the bar he worked at and Gier didn't like that one bit. bc like. it's really hard to forget a corpse in That condition. There were security cameras that caught that particular bit of action. Watching the footage just gives you a splitting headache and the memory of Maalik looking terrified while a dudes entire face just did that. JFK style.
All these little things people can't Quite connect together but which they can definitely recognize have a weird habit of happening near Maalik. Like it's really obvious he's not the one doing it, but still it's definitely not a coincidence he always seems to be close by when something randomly goes moldy.
Then, not even thinking about any of that, one of his coworkers confides in him about someone giving them trouble. That they're scared and the cops won't do anything about it until after this person has at least attempted assault. The coworker doesn't know there's more than two people in the room.
Maalik doesn't realize why Gier suddenly left until he gets a call from the same coworker later that night. They're in tears and it's hard to understand what they're saying, but eventually he gets the gist. They're thanking him. The fuckers body was just found rotten and reeking to high heaven with decay despite them being alive enough to follow the coworker to work that morning.
And then word spreads. People start offering money. and it's Good money. Morals start slipping. He gets in too deep but no one can touch him because any attempt has always ended with the wannabe assassin choking on their own blood after their lungs begin bursting with rot. Attempts to pin the murders on him always fail, because he really is innocent. Any renegades that don't play by the rules who decide to take the law into their own hands wind up just as rotten as any other cop, but in a slightly more literal way.
He ends up at the very top of every food web in that area because of a secret weapon nobody can even begin to comprehend by complete accident.

I know Marilyn is so much more than her death but I do wonder if she did commit suicide? As I read before her death she was making plans for the future, so I think it might have been an accident, she accidentally took too many sleeping pills. What are your thoughts?
Honestly, I feel I’m much more knowledgeable about her life and not quite as much about her death.
So, with that in mind, I don’t feel she purposefully killed herself. I feel she was doing fairly well at the time and was excited for new projects. I do realize, however, that I obviously didn’t know her. And as someone who has dealt with suicidal thoughts a great deal, I know you can be doing well or appear to be doing well and something can just change and trigger you at any time.
I don’t believe at all that she was murdered. I don’t believe the Kennedy’s had any involvement (I think their “involvement” in her life is is probably the most exaggerated thing when it comes to Marilyn).
My personal opinion is that she accidentally took too many pills. Accidentally overdosed. I do believe she was over-medicated and was able to get refills a little too frequently. I feel she took too many at once. Or took some, was very sleepy or forgetful, and took more not too long after the first ones she took, not remembering she had already taken some.
“In addition, it is also possible for someone who feels that their dosage isn’t working to take more without considering the consequences. Marilyn had been incredibly tired the day she died and may have felt a couple more pills would actually help her sleep. Unfortunately, it was lethal and caused her to pass out before she ultimately died.”
The above quote is from an amazing MM site that I highly recommend. The link I will provide goes over many rumours, conspiracies and real evidence of what likely happened that night. It’s a long read but definitely worth it if you’re interested in Marilyn’s death.

Clone High AU Idea - Clone Academy/History Repeats Itself AU
So I had an idea of what if Clone High was less focused on comedy and parodies of teen dramas as the main focus for the show, and more focused on the idea of the clones trying and struggling to live up their parent’s legacy as the government, instead of wanting to use the clones a human nuclear weapons in battle, they use the clones to better benefit America by bringing back the benefits the original historical figures brought onto the world. During teenage years, the clones are put into an academy, Clone Academy, where they are trained academically and physically on skills that their clone parent were best good at. An example of this is can be that JFK, with his clone parent originally being of the POTUS, is automatically put into a debate team/club and is assigned to take classes such as US History and Intro to Law and even trained physically to dodge bullets coming from any area. I want to imagine that most of the clones would want to follow their clone parent’s footsteps but some also want to follow their own goals like many clones in the original show do. Maybe robots or holograms of a clone’s original counterpart teach them lessons that only pertain to the historical figures traits or actions. But since their only holograms/robots they can’t respond to a human properly, mainly just what their programmed to say. Also, many of the clones have different outfits, in which they are kind of dress up like their clone parent but in a way that looks more modern.... well 2000′s modern. The AU may be more serious than the original show as it will tackle more serious topics about being a clone of a worldwide know figure and the pressure that comes of it; or there may be serious problems involving characters like Abe or JFK meeting a cloned version of maybe John Wilkes Booth or Lee Harvey Oswald.
Some other ideas that technically don’t really have to do with the Clone Academy itself but I think would be pretty cool anyway include:
Ghostly encounters of clone parents or a clone who can see or communicate with the dead
Time Travel (Maybe)
Possible slight dystopian 2000′s era
Reunions with people who are related to the clone parents
Intruders/Spies of the Academy who pretend they are clones to get information on the clones and the academy.
Studying abroad in countries that correlate to the clone (ie: Joan studies in France or Cleo goes to Egypt)
Maybe some clones will have accents depending on what country their clone parent was from. JFK already has the same New England accent that his clone dad had so why not? (I always kind of wanted to hear what Joan sounded like in a French accent or Gandhi with an Indian accent)
Younger clones who are kids that go to a Clone Elementary School. Like maybe a young girl clone of Princess Diana of Wales since she died in the 1997, meaning that as a clone she would be about 5 or 4 if clone after her death, annd I weirdly kinda want the clone to be JFK’s little sister. I dunno, that would be pretty cute.
Also, here’s a bio of each of the main five in this AU about what they learn in this academy of clones and how they feel about needing to live up to their clone parent:
Abe L. (JR) : Abe very much looks up to his clone parent (like in the original show too). He know that it will be hard to surpass the original Lincoln but he will try to in anyway to do so. He works very hard but kind of struggles in his classes because he can be quite a dimwit at times, but he does his very best. He studies his dad in books and in television a lot to understand what he was like when he’s not doing in in class.. But he still has those terrors of “what if it happens again” when it comes to his clone father being assassinated, as he fears that he may get assassinated too if he rises to his clone fathers level, even with bullet dodging lessons. Like in the original show, he also sees his clone father talking to him through the 5 dollar bill or the penny for motivation or he even sees him in dreams as well. Like JFK, he takes the debate team, US History, Politics, Law but also has English, Phys Ed. such as boxing (since his clone father was a boxing champion at the time), Civics, and Government.
Joan D’A. (JR) :  Joan is still cynical and skeptical about becoming her clone mom and feels like she could never rise up to her level and she doesn’t believe she’ll have a religious encounter like her clone mom ever did. But deep down, she still believes it could happen, it’s one of the reasons she still goes on to study at clone academy and Abe’s determination to be like his clone dad motivates Joan to do the same but still pretends like she doesn’t really care. But she is still nervous on what will happen after she grows past the age of 19, the age her clone mom never lived past to, What will happen then? She takes classes regarding Catholicism, Fencing/Swordfighting,  Horseback riding, French speaking, and European History.
M. Gandhi (JR): Gandhi honestly wants to live up to his clone fathers legacy and spread peace about the country, but his love for being a party animal and his short attention prevents him from wanting to focus on his studies. He really does care about following the original Gandhi’s footsteps but has a hard time sticking to his words that he’ll put the work, care, and effort in doing so, and sometimes does the complete opposite in what his clone dad really did to help the world, and instead hurts people mentally. He takes classes in Civics, World History, Law, and Hinduism.  Maybe a class in Meditation or Yoga too?
John. F K.: Like most, JFK wants to become like his clone father. But, like in the original show, he misinterprets the goals and personality of the original JFK and sees him more as a “macho womanizing stud who conquered the moon” than the charismatic, intelligent, charming leader the real JFK was, as he bases that ideology of the original JFK onto himself, but he slowly learns about more about who his father really was in his studies in Clone Academy and maybe even takes some of these accurate traits of his clone father into his own character. Like stated before, JFK takes classes in Politics, Law, US History, Maybe some civics since his clone father was involved in helping the civil rights movement, Physical Ed, Military Training (since his clone father is a war hero), and Government.
Cleopatra: Cleo definitely tries a lot to be just like her clone mother and does her best to replicate the elegant fashion that she had in the Ancient Egypt Era at the time with lots of jewelry included. But the problem is that she flaunts her overall power of her clone mother’s monarchy being passed down to her to people all around her. While many praise her for this, along with her radiating beauty, many see her as very pretentious and annoying. Another thing, is that she secretly feels a lot of pressure with having the stakes raised high for following the original Queen of the Nile’s footsteps and feel like she could never go up to her level, no matter how much she tries, and her degrading abusive foster mother only intensifies her believes in this. She takes classes in World History, Government, Several different world languages, and Fashion/Makeup Design.
So basically this AU is kind of like “What if clone high kinda had some of the concepts of Ever After High and My Hero Academia but is still kind of unique that it can stand out on its own”  or maybe just “Clone High but more serious and a whole lot of worldbuilding and lore”. I dunno, I just wanted to make an AU where the plot idea of clones of historical figures is possible was emphasized or used more in the main story of the show, even if that’s kinda silly since the show is more focused on being a comedy that never takes itself really seriously.

okay well i watched the four episodes of Clone High season 2 that are currently out and i really don’t know, man.
i didn’t hate it. did i like it? not really. i’ll keep watchin’, though. i actually did laugh a decent amount watching it.
alright, here’s my problem with it. it really feels like they don’t know how to balance and use the characters properly. Cleo had fuckall to do till episode 4, Abe has fuckall to do in 2-4, and the newer characters generally don’t stand out enough to be that effective because there’s too many of them.
Harriet and Frida are too generic as characters to be that engaging, which is a shame because i think there’s potential there. Confucius feels like a Gandhi 2.0 but they don’t use him consistently enough, and he’s also a little too boring, though i do like him. Candide is alright, but also a little too boring. she’s very one note and i want to see more of her. i thought she’d potentially turned a corner with Scudworth in episode 3 (like at least warming up to him a bit) and then it doesn’t go anywhere lol. well, so far.
and granted, there’s only 4 episodes, but you can just feel the “we don’t have enough time to give any of these characters space” oozing from the writing. a lot of scenes are super short and don’t really go anywhere because it’s fighting to juggle the fucking 10 character cast, and that’s not even counting Cleo, because Cleo basically doesn’t exist till episode 4 like i said.
surprisingly the best new character is Christopher Columbus. he’s genuinely really funny and interesting so i know they can do great things with the new characters.
everybody feels vaguely out of character all the time, esp. Joan. she kinda feels like a hollow shell of her original self, and while the show does engage with her concerns about becoming somebody different with dating JFK, it also feels like it’s just unironically flattened her character down. she has no bite anymore, it sucks. she’s weirdly preppy, doesn’t actually stand for anything though they pay a lot of lip service to how much of an activist she used to be so. she’s just JFK’s gf now. i am very pro-JoanFK, though. if they put Joan with Abe at the end of this season i’ll stop watching fr
i fucking hated Abe in the original series. currently Abe is just extremely whatever because his one personality trait is being sad he can’t date Joan so in a way it’s a step up from being extremely unlikable. also he doesn’t even seem to remember Cleo exists anymore. you could do a lot more with the core cast by giving Abe and Cleo more character time as a contrast TO JoanFK as a ship, but they don’t seem interested in that.
JFK is pretty funny but i feel like he’s missing a lot of his snarkiness from the first season. like it rly does feel like the writers just took notes from how the fandom interpreted his character (they literally have Joan call him a himbo in one of the episodes!!!!!) and it doesn’t fully land. he’s also been flattened down to just “in love with Joan” and what a shame. i think their relationship potential was so great but it’s not rly It for me so far. and it’s weird because the show acknowledges its own issues with it, but then doesn’t do anything about it.
Scudworth and Mr. B aren’t anything to write home about so far. they were usually standouts and a funny contrast to the melodramatic teen bullshit that carried the show plots otherwise, but it’s not too great yet.
there is way too much blood and gore. like why did we do that. they used it more sparingly in season 1. it was there, but it was less in your face than in this season.
it’s just clunky. i think it could just be trying to pick up a show after 20 years while balancing the old and new characters. i think it has room to grow if the network gives it time to. like i don’t think it’s irredeemable by any means-- like i said, i actually think it’s decently funny and there’s a lot of good little moments. it’s just not fully there for me yet. maybe it’ll get better as the season goes on, idk.
i think the show looks fine. people keep bitching about the animation or whatever but it didn’t bother me in the slightest. it does its job. i do agree the new character designs are a little too over the top. you can smell the Total Drama coming off of their character designs. most of them just need some tweaking at most.
also i miss Gandhi but hey, it is what it is that they couldn’t include him.
i might go back and rewatch the original season. it’s just always so classic for me.
