what do they put into kpop that makes it so addicting? until the last couple of years i've always preferred much heavier, more aggressive music. and i still do, yet my favourite svt songs (and of other kpop groups i listen to) are mostly very upbeat and positive or just very obviously about love. i used to be so. idk disinterested in it both when it came to the music itself and the people who made and performed it, maybe even against giving it a fair try. but what came from a place of simply wanting to support my partner's new interest turned into me having a blog dedicated solely to genuine svt posting. what happened here.
Anytime I see someone talking about how "he would not fucking listen to that" I get it. I do. but sometimes I forget not everyone has a music taste that multiple unrelated genres like I do so I will make my characters listen to widely varying shit and be surprised when people understandably call that into question.
LOL i always think my music taste is like Ahhhh so borinh and predictable like if i add a song to a playlist by an artist i like im liek “arghh how obvious.” but then its only bc i listen to them i think its obvious. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE
man the internet is so lovely. i’m able to make and keep friendships with people i never would have even begun to know otherwise. i’m friends with people who live or have lived across the world from me, and we’re friends the same way i would be with people i’ve met in real life. in some cases we get close FASTER than i would with irl friendships!! that’s crazy and awesome :]
So Graspop is a metal festival on paper, which is not usually my go to, but there's also a bunch of rock and some other genres. First confirmed name was tool, which i have been a sucker for since I was 17 when they completely blew me away with their live performance
my watch list so far includes:
Alice cooper
Avenged Sevenfold
Babymetal
Body Count (Ice-T's metal band! it fucking slaps) (heres another one) (gotta include this one too sorry)
Bruce Dickinson
Deep Purple
Electric Callboy (if you don't know them please watch these videos. They're hilarious and their upbeat power/europop x metal mixture shouldn't be this catchy, fun and genuinely good, but it is)
Heart
Iron Allies
Judas Priest
Limp Bizkit
Megadeth
Pendulum
Scorpions
Tool
and more!
it's been so long since i've been to an absolutely stacked festival. Can't wait
