Man I can't help but find vampire aus so disappointing that it literally infuriates me. Like, they always end up stripping the characters down of any canon complexity and force them into the same one note cookie cutter characterizations that are somehow exactly the same across fics, and even across fandoms! And they never actually explore the world building or what have you of vampires being real and just use it as an excuse for drama and kinky sex. And the sex isn't even that good OR kinky!

Sorry that was a bit of a ramble. I just always get my hopes up for an actually interesting vampire au, and it always ends up so disappointing. 🙁

It's not even just an issue cis men can have either, everyone's hair thins with age, some just more (and sooner) than others. To make fun of someone, fictional or otherwise, for losing their hair is digging a trench to fill with future self loathing at one's own hair loss. And hair loss in >2023 isn't even that bad anymore!! There are so many ways to manage and style it now.
