all my life ive been inspired by the punk scene and its values or what it represents for me at least,,, and like, gaying up i went full circle around many other styles i found inspiring, in art, in cinema, in clothing, etc but i always come back to punk in my own way

lately i keep coming back to 90s movies and series and it’s so inspiring to me, i feel like there was so much personnality in a lot of things and choices back then, especially in cinema, in series, in music, so much creativity but without the need to make it all look “plastic” and perfect and polished. it’s smthg thats bothering me these days,,, all this “clean” things we wanna buy and represent. the designs ? minimaListic ! our skin ? perfectly blemish free ! actors ? perfectly muscled skinny models without pores ! singers ? must all look like the genre of music they wanna blend in, edit out the eye circle and make the skin glowy and don’t forget the perfect lewks or die in a ditch. so much plastic surgery, so many perfect bodies and noses, and most movies are just blockbusters were literally every main actor has looked the same since 20years and shit. there’s sm promotion for blandness and normativity. wednesday addams was supposed to be punk goth and like,, her aesthetic was so simple that it spread around like wildfire in tiktoks and shit and it’s been copied ever since cause it was just some black prints and a sheer black dress and like. im not saying everything’s bad, there’s sm creativity now too thanks to technology and access to MORE all the time but - i miss personnality. i miss it sm. i miss the Soul Eater type of weirdo shit and styles. industries and corporations and selling and brands and becoming a brand yourself and being closely shaved and properly dressed or else you’re ugly and weird and god forbid those are the two Worst things to be nowadays.

It wasn't a secret that she was a raging heterosexual obsessed with Jimin, but the homophobia of it all... But it makes sense. Jimin was just a tool for her, and her content was very specific and always stayed in the same category: sex. The problem was that at some point, I guess she noticed that Jimin was not providing that type of content for her to get her... creative... juices flowing. She can't post a photo like this and honestly go "I wanna sit on his legs so bad" or something like that.

If you know the tiniest thing about Elvis, you'll understand why she caved in to that movie and the actor and even to the dead man himself lmao. He loved the ladieSSS, loved their attention, had that deep MANLY voice, you know. She didn't need much to start comparing Jimin to Elvis and/or the actor. Jimin was simply not useful for her anymore. Jimin was not feeding her fantasy anymore. Which is okay, at its core. It's okay if someone's not doing it anymore for you, we get over our attraction to people all the time, and people close their accounts about their interests all the time ,or they move on to other fandoms; it doesn't tell me much more kpop fandoms beyond what everyone already knows: that we're consumers. Every member of BTS and the group itself, it's all there to be consumed. Everyone is free to walk away when the content out there is not something you want to consume. A lot of armys walked away because the music and the performances was no longer to their liking. A lot of us feel the same way about that. When it comes to idols, their personalities, personas, whatever you wanna call it, it's up for consumption too. It's why they are encouraged and why they know that they have to be multifaceted and show something for everyone. Nobody needs to give the idols any instructions. The "duality" is there so the people who like them pretty and cute can have pretty and cute; but they have to be sexy and dark too so the people who like sexy and dark can have that as well. I guess one side of Jimin's "duality" was getting too big for her to ignore, and it's not the playboy side she liked. It's why Jungkook on Instagram stories was the talk of the town, because he was catering to fans. He was giving fans the sweet flirty talk, the you're mine, I'm yours, I will be your boyfriend, etc. He was being consumed. I know it sounds weird, because nobody ever puts these things into words like this, but it is what it is. We all know it's happening, we just don't really talk about it in an analysis type of way.

In this case she was angry not only because at some point Jimin stopped catering to her fantasies, but because there's something worse about it: Jimin might be gay. Maybe Jimin is not telling her you're mine or whispering sweet nothings into her ear not only because he doesn't know her, but because he might not even be interested in the female gender at all. How is Jimin not being the type of man she needs him to be for her to be attracted to him.

And here comes the thing that most people don't talk anymore about homophobia: most will be okay with you being gay as long as you aren't "rubbing it in on everyone's faces". People look at let's say Ricky Martin, and once they're past the initial shock of remembering "oh shoot he's gay", they forget that he is gay. Because he doesn't act gay, and most importantly: he doesn't look gay. He's still desirable to women and he looks and acts the way it's socially accepted for men to look and act.

On the other hand, there are other men that don't let you forget that they are gay. And darling Jimin would've been okay, she would've been just fine and could've kept doing whatever she did and not resent Jimin if he was still desirable to her. If he still acted and looked the way it's socially acceptable for men to look and act. Even Elvis could be gay as long as he's still acting like a man, you know. Someone who would pick her up in his arms and have her sitting on his legs. Unlike Jimin, who as time goes by seems less and less interested in doing any of that.

One of those freaks said something like "if he's gay he should be the top at least". And it's all because of what I said above. In the unconcious mind, there's a deep rooted idea that GIVING DICK is better than RECEIVING IT (homophobia meets misogyny). Being "the top" would mean a more manly Jimin, someone who still caters to her idea of masculinity and to the fantasy that he would be able to and would want to fuck her.

There's so much more I could say about it, sexuality and all it encompasses it's such an extensive field, but I tried to stay on topic on not bring other people into the discussion Maybe another time.

Hi been a while since I’ve been here but umm I need advice lol. So I’ve been talking to this guy for a while now, we would text and call pretty much everyday been vulnerable with each other something he encouraged me to do considering I’m not the type to talk abt her feelings I’m more of an avoidant. Anyways, he just randomly stopped talking to me 2 days ago and no he’s not busy or smthg bc I see him answering other peoples comments on another app meanwhile my text is sitting there. So I decided to unfriend him. I know very mature. But I still kind of wanted him to reach out to me bc I thought he at least cared about me enough to want an explanation, but he didn’t. And now I’m tempted to send him a text just to tell him how much of an asshole he is for pretending to care about my feelings just for him to turn around and do exactly what I told him would hurt me. But idk if that’s the right move. What do you think?

Aw friend. I'm sorry that it's been a while since I've gotten to chat here, and chat with you! I'm still working my way back to our beautiful purple bubble here, and I really want to get to all my asks, but I wanted to take a bit of time to respond to this particular one to share that, hey! Hi! You're not alone! These things are always interesting and challenging. And thanks for sharing with me — it made me feel a little less alone as well!

First of all, I'm hoping you're taking some time to breathe, feel, and then, self-care. Drink some water. Eat well — whether that means something healthy or yummy or comforting. Sleep. Channel your emotions through creative outlets, like music or art, or writing, even journaling!

And, most of all, be kind to yourself.

We've all been there, we will all continue to find ourselves there in the future from time to time, and I am also still figuring out what my best communication styles with people are. I'm thinking of that clip of Jungkook and Kang Ho Dong talking about being flexible with people and for yourself, like in wrestling:

There is no one right way to act in a situation. Even if you feel you are experiencing the same situation over and over again, as if it were a pattern, there's no escape hatch or solution. You will have these experiences, and you will take them as they come. You will learn from them and figure out what the best course of action is for you, at that time, with that person. You will continue to be the strong, beautiful person that you are.

So be kind to yourself. Focus on yourself. Really try to understand where your very valid feelings are coming from. And then you can decide.

Is it worth it to you to spend energy to say your piece to this person? Why do you want them to know how you feel? Does it bring you comfort or closure in some way?

Is it worth it to you to conserve energy and move on? What do you lose if you cut off contact? What do you gain? Where can you spend that energy instead?

Do you want to sit with it for a bit? Not react at all? Wait it out and see, especially if you're still feeling activated emotionally?

My close group of friends helped me through a recent situation like this, and for the person I was going through the situation with, I happened to decide that it was worth keeping the connection, while revisiting how much energy I was putting into the connection. I had to take accountability for my expectations out of the situation, too. And I am planning to say my piece when the time is right, trusting that I feel clear-headed about the outcome, no matter what it is.

But that doesn't mean that if I am faced with a similar situation that I will take the same course of action. Lol like I always say, it's always about context!

So, in words paid forward from those who showed me how to be wise and brave, I am offering this: take the focus off of this person, and focus on you. What do you want to say or not say, for you? What do you want to do or not do, for you? Release what you cannot control, and temper your expectations of others. Focus on what course of action will give you peace, regardless of how others react. And then you'll know the answer.

You'll always know the answer, because you are the expert on your life.

And be patient and kind to yourself if you need a bit of time to share it, or if those answers change with time.

The world is so excited to have your amazing energy in it, and there will be people along the way who are ready to receive it, and people who just aren't, and both are perfectly fine. How amazing it is, then, when you find people who are ready and open.

I just don't get how people allow themselves to be so entitled and rude to writers or any creative person giving people FREE, beautiful, amazing content that takes time, energy and creativity. Like really i ve seen so many weird comments or even anon people being awful to creators and i get so pissed bcs who do u think u are my god, creating smthg doesn't come with a click of a button whenever u personally want it. This is a long rant but if i get tired of seeing these comments i can't imagine what writers be feeling. As someone who studies and works in a field linked to my hobby that is design and drawing and needs my creative side at all times, it gets exhausting to create smthg out of my required tasks, that if it wasn't for BTS birthdays or celebrations of my friends and family, i haven't been able to sit and enjoy drawing and that's me on my fan account posting fanart to my friends there with no "demanding" audience so i truly can't imagine having the pressure that some people be putting on creators.

Marvel rn is like swimming against stream. Like nobody wants see urself in bad likes,any famous actor with reputation or good directors don't want risk of reputation. Big problem is marvel not giving any creative freedom to any director so famous ones don't even want deal with them even for big money.they don't wanna be all like puppets.

Constant rewrites too,like actors or director don't know that they get next day if they change overall mcu plan.

Like saw day ago twt with big amount likes about that spiderman without directors but +- with scripts and already dates of filming it's all bad signs. I agree with that, director should have own vision, prepare for projects, maybe change something in script in their taste and only then calmly shoot film without reshoots. With spiderman4 Thay have nothing for now only ideas.

And about mcu. I stand bely it, almost all their films just bad. I was last time in cinema for mcu film for nwh before that infinity war.

I couldn't understand some of what you were saying in your ask, but I think that as long as SM4 can secure a decent director, and hires good writers, the film should be fine. 👍🏾

Fans WANT to see a SM4. It's not like Hollywood is pushing the sequel of a franchise that nobody wants to see, or nobody asked for.

Well, I'm a communication student, and I'm a bit sad for Harry.

He's 27 nearly 28, I'm sure he wants a more mature fandom. I mean, I was watching the lives from the BBC for HS1, and I was like, stop screaming like little girls please, I just want to enjoy the show. (after it went better).

I know he's a grown man. But I'm not sure that he's involved in the all-long process of the communication, of course, he has words to say, but in the end, it's not his job, that's why Full Stop mgmt and Sony are here.

But, from what I see, it feels like, they want him to stay with a young fan base. I get why. They will jump into everything H does, always be on his side even if he does smthg wrong. But they take the humanity of H away. It's easier to get money with them, and it's not a critic, it's normal, (but I won't get into the sociological part, but it's quite interesting)

This is what I'm hoping for him:

- Get back to his roots and find another mgmt maybe in the UK, Ik the US is easier 'cause this is where everything happened, but it's also very toxic. Maybe, find another label record too, an independent one?

- Maybe, do more things like NPR, there are others that he can do like ''Colors'' or even in France there's some kind of concepts like this (yeah I'm French that's why), or the MTV unplugged because it shows the artist that he is and not the image that his team and the media want to paint.

- Same for the interview, I'm sure he's a smart guy, and he can find interviewers/media where they speak about music and other stuff around without bringing every time his private and love life. Be more deep. It will help him, get more relaxed, maybe letting go a bit and get away from the image of the "womanizer" man. And definitely, it will help him get a more mature fandom and be seen by the gp like a grown man and not like a 16 years old boy.

I believe that an artist can be where he is right now and where he might want to be without doing all this shit. It will take more time, but I think it's worth it.

I came because I like Harry's music and 'cause I think he is very talented and has something that he needs to develop. But there are so many gossips, which is annoying, and it covers a big part of his creativity and talents. It's sad for him.

he works for torchwood except he doesn't rlly have a defined role unlike the others BDKDKFOFOOF something like personal assistant-butler-chauffeur-cleaner-archivist-field agent-teaboy?????? he goes around calling himself a butler but rlly hes kind of the 'does everything' support staff and i wonder how torchwood didn't crash and burn before hiring him. he makes the coffee also and hes very very good at it. coffee is like his specialty. he also knows everything (well. not really but pretty much) like he can tell you from the top of his head how many ppl theyve given amnesia pills to even tho its a number like 2 thousand smthg

he pretends to be all posh but actually hes lowkey a bitch BDJDKDLDO and he was a goth before. (im convinced hes still goth just hiding it) hes also extremely loyal, like 'my girlfriend was turned into a robot soldier and just tried to kill me and all of my friends but i still want to protect her' levels of loyalty. also he was willing to sacrifice his life to save the world some times and he was also willing to sacrifice his freedom to protect ppl from him when he thought he was a serial killer (long story) bc he just has a strong sense of right and wrong and like. while he wont hesitate to defend himself and sometimes hes even had to kill people he would NEVER hurt an innocent person. he doesn't have a great relationship w his family and he lied abt them to his friends for a long long time to make them seem better thn they were (mostly abt his dad who was a horrible piece of shit) and sometimes he lies abt his real role in torchwood to strangers but really its bc he wants to impress people!!! he wants to be liked and admired!!!!! everytime i think abt how much he wanted to impress the team to make them like him again in s1 afrer he betrayed them i get so so emotional. he was in the background for so long but he didn't want that anymore he wanted to be a real part of the team.........

aside from coffee he also likes geo-caching and metal music........ and he helped capture a pteranodon for the hub and he called her myfanwy (no idea how its pronounced) so i guess he has a pet pteranodon...........

also i love him a lot and i would literally die for him

meet dimples bear the second!!!! i found him earlier but he seemed to fit most for ianto. i think it's cool a bear with different facial features exist and especially so early on (2007)- it shows the potential with how creative they can get!!!

i'm surprised they have either yet to release a coffee scent or that no one talked about it online. i figure cookies that you could dip in coffee could do the trick!

Author’s Note: Hey darling!! I hope this was around what you wanted, I wasn’t sure so I took some creative reigns with it. I hope you enjoy! Also I know nothing about art or art gallerys but I’ve seen one scene in mrs masiel where they buy paintings so i went with that lol

Requested: by @okkenobi, Would u do a Bruce Wayne x reader where you’re an artist who goes to Gotham university or smthg and are sorta super shy and awkward. But then at one of your art shows Bruce shows up and you’re super surprised. He takes a liking to you and asks you on a date to one of his balls/parties and yeah. Thanks!

        When you decided to go to art school your mom wasn’t sure what to do with herself. She had her heart dead set on you being a big shot lawyer or doctor or something. That was the only reason you went to school in Gotham. It was the furthest away you could get from her while also trying to go to a place she would rarely visit. Not to mention they had an okay university. It wasn’t always safe but it was good schooling. 

    You were pretty shy anyway and kept to yourself. You could handle yourself around the streets when you went out which you rarely did. 

    Tonight though you had an art show. It wasn’t yours but it had some of your art in it and so you had been invited to come for free. You enjoyed going to them anyway so you were even more excited to go to your own.    

    You stood inside, the walls of white covered in different colors and canvases and mediums. You looked at the ones you hadn’t seen before, your hand on your cheek as you examined them before eventually falling back to your own paintings. 

    “I like this one. The colors speak volumes.” You turned your head to look at the man who had spoken, the only other one who was in the stuffy place where this particular painting was. It wasn’t yours but you had met the man who had made it. 

    “The artist speaks loudly too,” you said, laughing a little bit. You turned your head all the way to see the man. He looks familiar. You weren’t sure if he went to school with you or not but he looked a little older. 

    “You know him? You think I could buy it off of him?” 

    “Isn’t that what you’re here for?” He nodded, shrugging. He was wearing a suit and holding one of the champagne glasses that were offered in the front of the building as people came in. You had drunken yours and finished it ages ago. 

    “I suppose you’re right. Are any of these yours?” You nodded, pointing to the few across the room. He raised an eyebrow and started to walk over to look at them. You followed behind him, curious to see what this handsome stranger had to say about your work. 

    He looked at it for a long moment and you braced yourself for some sort of pity.

    “Wow,” was all he said. He breathed it out, quietly. Then turned to you and smiled. “You’re selling them?”

    “Yes well-”

    “Wonderful.” He looked away from you and back at them. “Really wonderful.”

    “I’m sorry, do I know you from somewhere? I can’t shake the feeling.” He gave you an award winning smile and held out his hand for you to shake and you did.

    “Bruce Wayne.” 

    “Ah! Wayne Enterprises. I think I’ve seen the commercials,” you pointed out. “Y/N Y/L/N.” He nodded with a smile and you both looked back at the painting you had done. 

    You walked around the room together after that. You told him about the artists that you knew and you talked about the idea of the ones you didn’t. He was interested in what you had to say and you were curious about his insight to stories you already knew. 

    At the end of the night you still stood together. It was almost midnight.

    “I have to talk to my teacher, he did the whole thing. I’ll be back.” He nodded as you walked to the head of the room. Your teacher was standing there and the second she saw you her face lit up.

    “All three of your paintings had quite a high bid.” You raised your eyebrow. You hadn’t really expected any of them to get any bids. 

    “Really?” 

    “All by Wayne,” she whispered, a mischievous look on her face. Your eyes went wide as you nodded, laughing dryly a bit.   

    “Well I suppose I shouldn’t have left him then,” you said laughing. She nodded quickly and pointed behind you where Bruce was standing. You turned and gave him a look.

    “You didn’t have to do that,” you said. He shook his head and shrugged.

    “You had the best ones here.” 

    “Bruce-”

    “I have a gala coming up, it’s a big fancy dinner thing. I would enjoy it if you would accompany me.”

    “As a thank you for buying the paintings?” 

    “I’ll still buy the paintings if you don’t come. They really are moving,” he promised. You felt yourself get a little flustered. 

    “I’d love to come. If you’ll have me.” He nodded, charming on his face.

    “I'll call you. Right now I have to hang my new pieces,” he teased. You nodded and grabbed a pen out of your purse, scribbling down your number and handing it to him.

    “Call me whenever.” 

    “I will.”
