I get sick about fics where the ship is so desperate for each other they could stare into each others eyes for hours and dream about melting into one person

Tim: what did you think of the movie?
Lucy: I thought it was a cinematic masterpiece. Nothing will ever top that.
Tim: right well I mean it was a movie about a rat who cooks
Lucy: simply genius

i love creepy women
and i don’t (just) mean big tiddies goth girlfriends who listen to true crime podcasts while they fall asleep; i mean women creeping along the forest floor; i mean women sitting in a chair in a way that looks not quite human; i mean women who have unkept hair that sticks up in random places; i mean women who dress in rags but don’t care, because they are creepy, as they should be

Anyone else have issues where in the movie the main character is hated by everyone or made fun of or treated with indifference but then they save the world and everyone loves/is proud of them at the end?
I always have such a problem with those endings because to me it always feels like people will only like you when you’ve made it, when you’ve become famous or big or whatever.
And to me, that’s not real love or friendship. Like that person was still worthy in the beginning or along their journey, and I just hate the message that you can have friends when you prove you’re worthy.
