– born to a loving family on the blackfeet indian reservation in browning, montana. was never particularly wealthy but what their family did have was a lot of love and devotion, and they were always raised to know that they had the full support of their parents – this meant that they're decently well-adjusted. never really one to stress, freya's got a true 'type b' personality. – they discovered their love for art young, and had been sculpting pretty much since their fine motor skills kicked in. art of any kind attracted them, but sculpting especially – eventually decided they wanted to see the world and got a one way ticket to london for college. with their family's support (and sadness), they left the reservation for art school – met their spouse (rania <3) in college after a few flings and fell in love immediately – what was initially a fling turned into a whirlwind romance and of course freya was down Bad – as soon as they started taking the relationship seriously they knew they had to get their shit into gear because sculpting wasn't going to pay the bills – put their big thirl panties on and got into law; was wicked good at what they did, but their heart was never in it. still, they knew they didn't want to go back to the states (as much as they missed their family), so they got a job in chile instead, still wanting to see the world – unforchie law burned them out despite the fact that they were good at it and they quit, hoping to pursue their craft full time – currently is going through a bit of a rough patch with rania since quitting their job </3 they had a lot in savings and rania supported them after seeing how miserable they were, but it's ... rough. they're trying  – kind of having a midlife crisis ? in a way ? – still loves their children and their wife don't get it twisted. their family is their lifeline n main priority always

Geordo's POV

Geordo’s former servants are back.

Geordo receives an invitation to a tea party from Katarina.

The tea party is to celebrate the success of the rescue mission.

Katarina asks Geordo for his availability in her letter.

Geordo recalls how Katarina is thoughtful of others.

Katarina is asking for his availability instead of imposing a date.

Despite being dense in regard to love, Katarina is sensitive to the subtleties of people's hearts.

Geordo has been trying to uphold his “Perfect Prince” nickname.

Since he could achieve anything when he was little, people have been calling him “The Perfect Prince”.

To meet the expectations that come with this nickname, and because he didn’t want to show his weaknesses, he has been pushing himself hard without showing any sign of fatigue.

As a result, even more people call him by this nickname, which is a vicious circle.

Katarina is the only one who can see through Geordo, which makes him happy.

Katarina can see through his “Perfect Prince” act which deceives his servants and even his twin brother. This time, she even told him, “Don’t push yourself too hard.” while pouting. Because she was worried.

She always knows whenever he is tired. Before, when he asked her how she could tell, she simply replied that it was obvious.

The only person who sees his weaknesses is his fiancée, the one he is supposed to protect.

He is happy to have someone who sees through him. He knows that Katarina won’t abandon him even if she knows his weaknesses. He can be himself with her. He feels the most comfortable whenever he is by her side.

The days when he was constantly watched and couldn’t see Katarina were really tough. He held on until he heard that Katarina would put herself in danger again.

He wore a perfect disguise and went to see her, but Katarina even saw through it.

He fell even deeper for her at that moment. Each time he feels like he can’t fall more in love with her, he does.

Katarina means the world to Geordo.

Geordo can’t imagine a world without her.

He would do anything to stay by her side.

His biggest fear is something happening to her.

Jeffrey reports to Geordo the results of the case.

Jeffrey apologizes to Geordo since they couldn't catch the mastermind behind Marquis Randall despite all he has endured.

Jeffrey and Geordo realize that the mastermind is a fiercer enemy than they thought.

Jeffrey asks Geordo to be careful.

Geordo is determined to protect Katarina.

Geordo will use whatever is at his disposal to protect Katarina. He feels like if something happened to her, he wouldn’t be able to go on living anymore.

Geordo has hired some people to secretly watch and protect Katarina. He has gotten permission from Duke Claes to do so.

Geordo goes to Katarina’s party.

As expected, the whole gang is present.

Larna declined the invitation because she felt it would be a gathering of the top figures of the country.

Katarina opens the party with a speech. She also invites everyone to enjoy all the food she has prepared for the party.

Ian tells Geordo that this incident has enabled him to witness Selena’s strength and capacity to take action, which has charmed him even more. As a result, he and Selena have become even more intimate. After hearing this, Geordo feels envious.

Geordo sees Maria as a fierce rival.

Geordo is displeased while looking at Maria blushing after Katarina has praised her sweets.

Geordo considers Maria a fierce rival since Katarina is fond of her sweets and loves her gentle character. He is constantly wary of her.

Geordo politely interrupts Katarina and Maria’s conversation.

Sophia interrupts Geordo and Katarina’s conversation.

While he is talking with Katarina, Sophia cuts in their conversation to talk about a romance novel.

Sophia is talking nonstop, and Geordo can’t find a way to interrupt her.

While listening to what she says, Geordo can’t help thinking that the content of the novel is dubious. He thinks Nicol should be more careful of his sister’s readings.

Geordo glances at Nicol for help, but Nicol has a distant look and seems to be trying to escape reality.

Geordo wishes Nicol would educate his sister the same way Mary has trained Alan.

Mary proposes to give Katarina massages.

Mary tells Katarina she has been practicing massage and proposes to give her some whenever she is tired.

Alan shockingly realizes that Mary has been practicing massage on him so she can give some to Katarina.

Geordo sees Mary and Alan like a boss and her underling.

Mary explains that she wanted to make sure to massage Katarina thoroughly.

Alan blushes while remembering Mary's massages.

Geordo swears he won’t let Mary give massages to Katarina.

Keith politely tells Mary that Katarina already has him to give her massages and that Mary should save her massages for her fiancé.

Geordo tells Keith that it is rather him, Katarina’s fiancé, who should give massages to her. He suggests that Keith finds himself a fiancée to whom he could give massages.

Keith replies that Geordo can’t give massages to Katarina because it is improper for men and women to casually touch each other before marriage.

Geordo replies that if Keith is okay with Mary giving massages to her fiancé, then he should be okay with him giving massages to Katarina.

Keith is lost for words.

Mary tells Geordo that it is still improper for a man to touch a woman, so she should be the one giving massages to Katarina as a fellow woman.

Geordo thinks to himself that Mary has some nerve to say this while she has been giving massages to Alan (her MALE underling). As for Keith, he expresses the same thought, but out loud.

Mary explains that a woman giving massages to a man is okay, not the opposite.

Maria shyly says she can give massages to Katarina since she gives some to her mother.

Sophia says she will read books to learn how to give massages and then practice on Nicol. But Nicol seems to dislike this idea.

Geordo talks to Katarina.

Katarina is looking at everyone talking with a smile.

When Geordo asks her what she is smiling about, Katarina simply replies that she is just having fun like usual.

Katarina and Geordo have both been thinking about how happy they are that their days are back to normal.

Katarina tells Geordo that she also knows how to give massages and proposes to give him some next time he is tired.

Geordo is a blushing mess. He tries so hard to decrease the heat on his face that he ends up not being able to talk with Katarina.

Geordo: “The one I love sometimes says things that are very bad for my heart.”

So, it’s been a while…

Hello everyone!

I wish I was here with some better news, but this last year been a rough one. I can’t even remember when I said I was going to start reading ‘Sign of the Devil’ but I know it was a while ago.

So TLDR of it all is last May I lost my best friend of nearly 11 years, my wee bun, Kirby. It was very sudden and not the ending I wanted for him. I also found out that losing him was my first full blown experience of grief (I’m no stranger to losing people, but this was the first one that I felt). On top of all this, I’ve got some sort of sleep issue, it started with me falling asleep on the toilet, and has now progressed to where I can fall asleep anywhere, at work, on the bus, etc, which has made reading difficult, because anything that might relax me, makes me sleepy, and off I go. I’ve also been injuring myself, for example a month ago, fell asleep on the toilet, and fell face first into the stool and bust my mouth open (my teeth nearly went through my lip), I’ve also fallen asleep and called over just walking. The GP thinks is sleep apnea, and I’ve got tests to do etc so we’ll see.

But, finally, I am making a start on book 7. I’ve technically read one page and started to fall asleep (not a testament to the writing ofc).

Also as a side note, I got my dad into the series and he’s now read it all. We’ve been on an ebook binge and we’ve been clearing out our physical books and replacing them.

But here we are, book 7. Of course I shall let you know my thoughts either during or after :)

Ian stood next to Doctor Reed, trying to breathe in regular intervals. His mind felt numb and he wasn’t sure he would be able to answer if Reed asked him any questions. The young man next to him was white as a sheet, scalpel already in hand as if ready to go to work. The light tremor moving through Reed’s body wouldn’t be noticeable if it weren’t for the fact neither of them had moved in the past few minutes. It could have been longer, Ian wasn’t sure. Nothing felt real anymore. He couldn’t believe any of this to be real.

His eyes were set on the unmoving body in front of them. The corpse’s skin a pale ashen color, muscles lax - the rigor mortis hadn’t even set in yet - and blue eyes dimly staring at the ceiling.
