But yes I do have some answers for these!

1. Mikey is feral mostly bc he's very spoiled and he grew up In an environment that encouraged behavior like that! He is the 'Mama's boy' (in the AU, Splinter and Big Mama are canonically married, Splints still lives in the NY sewers, BM still in hidden city and her hotel), and BM definitely encourages his bad behavior. No one really tells him no, and he's an attention hog. He likes getting reactions so doing outlandish stuff and saying cruel things gets him that reaction! He's also an adrenaline junky and a pyromaniac, he'll put himself/others into danger for fun! Plus, BM DOES treat him like a pet, what do you expect. Boy is flea ridden/hj

2. Raph is very quiet and stoic! He still hates being alone, but he also definitely Dislikes being bothered, teased, or pranked. While the most outwardly 'chill', he's very quick to violence. He is the reason Leo has those bite/teeth marks on his shell! Raph bit him <3. His comfort item is Mrs. Cuddles and he always has her with him, which definitely makes it a target for Mikey shenanigans and such! He does still love hugs and snuggles tho, and likes bows, sewing, and cartoons! He doesn't talk much, and he especially won't if his brothers aren't around. He doesn't care much about anything, he's just along for the ride! The brothers often try to, like, 'sic' Raph on eachother by blaming things or just asking REALLLYYYYY nicely (also yes, Don is definitely a mad scientist. Please get him some lab safety etiquette at least some lab goggles)

3. LEOSAGI <3333333 ACTUALLY JUST MY COMFORT CHARACTERS I SWEAR. I have a writer friend who enjoys making small snippets of this AU, and I may ask her if I can post them here or if she would like to post them on A03? So yall can get even more content of the Boyz <3 (NewFallenLeaves on A03! Check out her ROTTMNT stuff, it's wonderful)

4. APRIL AND MAYHEM YES!!!!!! They are both definitely some of my favorite designs of this AU, April is just so beautiful and Mayhem is such a little Creatur. Babey demon demigorgon. Evil beast/pos (fun fact! Mayhems face can split apart in 4 different ways, one way looking like a demigorgon! I'll probably post that sketch sometime soon!)

5. Splinter is great! As Lou Jitsu, he was a film star who behind the scenes was involved in a lot of crime, especially back in Japan with things like the Yakuza. As a rat, he is VERY MUCH based on Gomez Addams. He's fun loving, caring, and loves a good spar session. He may be a bit neglectful of his boys (same as in canon) but he loves and accepts their weird and wacky behavior all the same.

This is his design! Some bits may change but as it stands I am happy w/ it! :D

He owns a decent of pieces of the Shredder Armour as, like, almost trophies? It also helps mean that the Foot will not build the Shredder fully, Aka none of that mess to deal with :]

As for Cassandra, she's not really in the AU at all! I just haven't really been able to think of much for her. Vent post because I’m losing it yall:

I’ll be Frank, I’m very aware I’m not as good as others. I reread my fics and I notice consistent issues. I always am lacking in something I deem important in a story and I also have people constantly telling me when it’s fucked up. (Idk why they have to be rude instead of just giving constructive criticism but I guess that’s the type of people I attract) And it just feels very pointless.

I think I’ve stated before (I think on A03 I put a warning and ik I posted abt it on my other acc) that I’m new to writing and not by any means well educated. Literally everything I know I had to learn/teach myself on my own terms SO of course I’m not going to be as good as an English major!!! this is just fun practice until I can afford a proper education but I’m getting harassed for being shit which is uncalled for in my opinion. I think I deserve kindness even if my stuff doesn’t meet your standards. I’m not a combative person so if you just tell me what I’m doing wrong I’ll fix it without push back. I’m also a super tiny acc with barely any followers so why tf youre being mean to me I DONT KNOW.

I’m a sensitive person so negativity is too much for my small brain to handle. I literally can’t fight back, I can’t handle conflict, I’m completely averse to meanness which Ik is really immature but I can’t just fix that like a light switch so I’m not messing w it anymore. listen. yall. i've said it so many times but arankita makes me so fucking feral i can go on and on about them i feel like this is gonna get so long too yall are giving me the best reasons to ramble

i know you asked for arankita, but i'll do them separate and together like i did for the others!

so aran!

i fucking love aran and he is so transable. you can really just trans him. he's perfect. i love him. transmasc aran? perfect. transfem aran? perfect. enby aran? perfect.

recently i've been really loving nonbinary aran, but i'm gonna talk in general first. i think he thought a lot about his transition. he did research and tried shit out on his own before he told anyone. not to get too serious, but i am in my psychology research brain today. i do think that he does really have to think about the intersections of being black in general, being black in japan, and being a black trans person. he has to be careful about how he goes about his transition, but i think he has a really good support system, and his family is really supportive of him.

i think transmasc aran gets top surgery as soon as he can, but i've been thinking about afab enby (and/or genderfluid!) aran who doesn't get top surgery but will bind. basically my thoughts on that for aran is they use they/he/she pronouns, but only for other trans people. cis people are lucky to even perceive them so cis people can only use they/them. trans people are also more than welcome to use gendered language with him, because he knows that they know she isn't part of the binary. i also love thinking about aran switching between fem/masc/gnc presenting, or mixing it all up!

i also like to think that aran likes to try different styles with their hair, and will try different styles of braids or other protective styles to see how they can express gender that way, you know?

also, sidenote, the twins (also trans) are so fucking in love with aran, and they think she's SO gender

and speaking of being so gender - kita!

kita is up there with akaashi on being very gender for me. idk what it is about him but he's just...gender.

(one of the very first hq fics i read was about enby kita, and i still think about it a lot)

i tend to lean towards enby kita, but transmasc/transfem kita is amazing too. i loooooove the conversations me and bex have about fem kita

i think kita has to be told by other trans people that cis people don't think about gender like that, and he's just kinda like "oh" and then is trans lmao

no matter which way kita is trans, i don't think they have much dysphoria, but i do think afab kita gets super dysphoric about their period (not projecting at all idk what you're talking about) but it's partly because of trans shit but also because of autism (no i will not be taking criticisms, kita is autistic it's canon...i can also tell yall my autism hcs...)

transfem kita is so fun to write! i think about her a lot. i think she so fun. i think because she works on the farm, she doesn't usually wear revealing clothes, and because of that, no one really sees the changes to her body from hrt (and top surgery lmao) so when she finally wears like shorts and a tank top or something she kills literally everyone that sees her

honestly tho, i love love love any trans kita, but they/them nonbinary kita just really hits for me. i don't have anything else to say about it lmao

moving onto arankita

the reason this whole think started is because i was rambling to @thegaycodedvolleyballhimbos about nonbinary lesbians arankita

i think aran was like "i'm nonbinary" and kita was like oh sick gender and now is also nonbinary lmao. also they are lesbians.

so we were talking about afab aran (they/he/she) and amab kita (she/they) and they're both on hrt but opposite ways

...that's pretty much it. they're nonbinary. they're lesbians. they're in love!

but i do have a hilarious fic idea that i really want to write that i desperately want to share! basically it's transmasc kita, but he's stealth. except he doesn't know he's stealth. he doesn't really think about the fact that no one ever sees him change or anything, and he's just a guy so like. there's nothing to talk about? but then he and aran are making out and getting handsy and aran feels his binder/bra and is confused. so kita tells him he can take it off and aran is like what. and after some confusion kita is like aran. you know what a bra is. and aran is like but???? why are you wearing it?????? and kita is like i'm trans. literally everyone knows this. you know that aran. but aran very much did not know that

Home Au Chang and Stray Au???

I feel like I should take away my perma krang Raph now that someone else has an au of it. The Home au was supposed to be centered around Leo becoming a prison dimension entity, and then I got spirit Mikey, google docs Donnie, and krang Raph idea and I wanted to put them all together, and now idk wtf to do with it.

As you can see, this au is very much a work in progress and is nowhere near finished. This means a lot of revisions and changes. I want to change my Raph after seeing someone else with a perma krang Raph, so as you can see, I am once again making an au change.

Idk what to do with this au??? I dont want to end it but I feel like my past ideas dont fit with the theme I want for the Home au, but I still want to use them. So Im just gonna store spirit Mikey and google docs Donnie away for now and completely scrap krang Raph. Entity Leo is definitely still staying.

Maybe I should put google docs Donnie into a futuristic stray inspired au…

Home Leo is going back to how he was before, except Im going to focus more on the immortal entity aspect of things and take away most of his feralness, but that doesnt mean he isnt feral. So Leo gets stuck in the prison dimension and slowly changes into a prison dimension entity. He changes both mentally and physically and has gained new powers.

Lucas Rants about Lucas

i get so bored with lucas in series 7-8 (bless his heart, he cant help it) but every time vaughn shows up at the end of series 9 episode 1 i go 100% fully feral because thats actually when his character gets interesting. I could rant about the entire two minutes of their conversation (i won’t though. not yet.) but for now i just wanna focus on that look when vaughn asks what’s it like being lucas north? like you can just tell the fucker i’m writing knows he’s in deep shit. I think he knew it from the first moment he saw him (he tells him to stay away after all) but I think it starts to tickle in the back of his mind that oh god things are bad because (as lottie pointed out when we were discussing it) that’s a very passive aggressive comment vaughn makes. he’s sort of testing the walls, testing lucas’ reaction. and lucas fails because while he tries to maintain that facade of a man who doesnt give a fuck (which he failed because we can all see him react) when vaughn says good to see you, john... lucas is not confused. that is not an expression of a man who is like ‘omg where am i? why did you call me john?’ thats a man that knows he done fucked up and its gonna come back out because vaughn obviously wants something from him.

i have to give the fandom the benefit of the doubt and assume that a lot of people take this idea of lucas not knowing/remembering his past as john on this weird out of context quote that floats around from richard where he says something about ‘john bateman really starts to emerge’ ... Its not an actual person?? this is not a short novel by robert louis stevenson. John Bateman doesn’t (in my opinion. I mean, i guess people can veer whatever direction they want) have anything like DID or something. and trauma amnesia doesnt make sense to me either because he KNOWS. he’s not confused. But anyways i think its a popular fandom idea to polarize lucas and john into these two different people and idk if its because people have never tried to manipulate others before (hi. nice to meet you.) or what but you’re not two different people. there’s not a what you are vs a what you’re trying to be and they arent constantly fighting for dominance. in my opinion, the john bateman starts to come out is more like .. what is the use of his role he’s playing? there isn’t one. He’s gotta go back to those instincts and reactions and behaviors that got him to the point hes at in the first place. He unravels because he’s losing his mind because (like i’ve preached since day one), the chess pieces are completely upending themselves suddenly on his carefully planned out board.

i think i’m triggered by the excuses people try to make because i want to support and be like oh yeah yalls theories are valid .. but honestly, fanon is not canon. and it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth because its like the idea is to have him be a good guy and he’s not and there’s nothing wrong with that. it doesn’t have to be good or bad but i just don’t ever get why it seems to be a thing where people want to make excuses or reasons that their white boy faves arent out there doing shit things. why fanon. why. he is a terrorist.

Like their anger and rage and having to live inside the walls kind of overwhelms them and they go a tiny bit feral, like if canon camilo's description of bruno was accurate and it applied to all of them. Okay but this is such a cool take on the au, I'm all for villain arcs. I'm legit a villain apologist on main because media make them so cool, so no surprise here that I am living for this!

At first they're the same, hiding behind the walls because they love this family and they can't bring themselves to leave or split up. The hunger they feel each night starts to get too much, and they don't know what to do. It only gets worse when Camilo and Mirabel get sick the third night in the walls. Bruno already feels a little bit of resentment after his fight with Alma, and how everyone reacted during Mirabel's ceremony, but it spirals into something deeper as he watches his mellizos get sick and go to sleep hungry.

Dolores is obviously there to help, she gives them Julieta's cooking and helps with their fevers. But she can't sneak food for them all the time, leaving Camilo to go get food for the family himself. I feel like his shifting would get a little warped here, he's a five-year-old stuck living in his family walls due to fear of what could happen to his sister. He's so angry all the time that anytime he shifts into anyone that isn't Bruno, Mirabel, or Dolores it always looks wrong. You can't tell at first, but if you look too closely a deeply unsettling feeling will worm into your gut and you feel like you need to run, right now. Everyone in the family learns to avoid the kitchen at night because you might run into a family member that gives you an off feeling and has the slightest glow to their eyes. He still steals things or rearranges things at night, so it becomes all the creepier of the years. (The family thinks Casita is cursed because Bruno and his children left, which does not help them since they can hear them.)

Mirabel is probably the angriest. You'd think it was Bruno, or Camilo but it's Mirabel. She's just such a caring and kind person, having to watch her Papa struggle with the thought of leaving for them or staying for the family, watching her Hermano grow thin because of his fast metabolism would piss her the hell off. She'd be mad on their behalf, and eventually on her own. Because she's in the walls, she can't get new glasses once she grows out of her old ones. Dolores can sneak them clothes, thread, and needles as much as she can but she can't explain why she'd go get glasses in town, everyone would know. So Mirabel has to grow up half-blind, parkouring the walls of her own damn home with her scorned family members. Isabela and Luisa swear up and down, something is glaring at them through the walls at night, catching squinting glowing eyes appearing one moment, gone the next.

If Bruno genuinely looked like Camilo's description, oh boy things are so worse for rat-man. A pale, 7ft seer, would scare the villagers so much more. He's obviously harmless, but once he got his growth spurt in his teens, they grew way warier. It only got worse when his visions "took a turn for the worse" (Bruno was kind of a 'gifted kid', and his vision were seen as a good thing for a while.) Luciana is still into him despite everything (bless my girl's heart) and of course here come the twins. Luciana's death is blamed directly on Bruno for being involved with her, which hurts. Luciana's parents don't believe that but the villager's words still hurt a lot. Most kids avoid the twins because their Bruno's kids and they don't understand why until their wall era. The villagers try to be nice to the twins but yeah they are still very wary of Bruno's kids, rumors will always be spreading.

When they end up disappearing after the gift ceremony they are in full support of never speaking of them again, not even for the Madrigal's sake, everyone in town was just creeped out by that branch. Villagers hear how the Madrigal Casita is haunted at night since their disappearance and the rumors only grow.

I don't know where else to go with this but damn did you give me horror ideas. I am a huge horror nerd, I will go crazy and write about them being horror icons if anyone wants me too tehee <3
