ok y'all I gotta be honest, but I totally knew that Ragh had gotten Kalina from Porter and thought that everyone else also knew this so seeing some people surprised threw me for a loop a bit
However this certainty of knowledge had absolutely no impact on any of my thoughts and theories this season 😂 not once did it cross my mind that Porter was the one with the spies tongue curse and honestly it didn't even cross my mind that Porter had infected Ragh on purpose I figured it was an accident like when Sandra Lynn and Tracker did the healing
I just didn't like Porter bc he was a dick and mean to Gorgug 😂

Hi 💃 Sorry this has been in my head for like an hour, but I was listening to music and I think the song called Past Lives REALLY fits Yuusha in some way?? I can't exactly form the words shdkajjckaf but the lyrics seem to make sense and I don't know how else to put it 🧍♀️
Past lives couldn't ever hold me down
Lost love is sweeter when it's finally found
I've got the strangest feeling
This isn't our first time around
Past lives couldn't ever come between us
Sometimes the dreamers finally wake up
Don't wake me, I'm not dreaming
(eugh it looks like they're doing a high-five but i wanted it for them to be dancing ;; oh well 🧍)
(also read more below bc this turned into another ramble omg i cant shut up)
HI HI! 👋👋👋👋 SORRY I COULDN'T HELP IT
AND I'M NOT EVEN SURE IF THIS IS THE RIGHT SONG YOU'RE REFERRING TO BC YOU DIDNT SPECIFY AN ARTIST BUT IT SEEMS TO FIT ????
i just pulled up the first ones when i looked up the song on spotify 😭
i think both are pretty much the same song though???
anyways EITHER WAY THIS GAVE ME EAR WORMS I CANT STOP LISTENING TO IT??
this is my type of music i cant explain it 🤧🤧
ALSO ALSO WAITTT
WHY HOW --
HOWD YOU READ HER THIS WELL
IS SHE THAT OBVIOUS
OR AM I JUST REALLY GENERIC
bc there's also this headcanon that there's a version of the twst cast back from the world where yuu/mc came from
and i'd like to think yuusha had a partner back in her world similar to jamil before she ended up in twst ;;;;
I've got the strangest feeling
This isn't our first time around
Past lives couldn't ever come between us
IM LOSING IT----
THEY ARE SOULMATES BECAUSE I SAID SO (<- delusional)
and also this specific line ,,,,
Don't wake me, I'm not dreaming
lowkey my mind is also buzzing with thoughts i can't put it all into words as to why this fits SO much, especially with yuu having dreams canonically
i guess for yuusha specifically she feels content with the people around her in twst but shes still convinced everything is like a fever dream and "going home" will put everything back to normal
so the line "dont wake me im not dreaming" is her true thoughts, she is in denial and she doesn't want to wake up from the "dream" that is twst wonderland bc shes finally happy

PLEASE TALK ABOUT YOUR MAGIC HCS FOR EMPIRES I AM LOOKING AT YOU WITH BIG OLD EYES RN I GOTTA KNOW THE LORE 👀👀👀
Buckle up! All start with the difference between a wizard and a witch from season 1.
Wizards:
To become a wizard, one must study rigorously for many years in a school. The rules are numerous and strict. There are many types of magic that are forbidden on the behalf of the wizard council, but to be a wizard is to be respected by many.
The wand is given once a wizard is deemed good enough to own one, and the pointy hat is given at a certain level of study.
They study magic and science not to understand the world better, but to harvest it more efficiently.
This tenacity is what led the newly founded empire of the Grimland to turn down magic and focus on technology to harvest nature (following the headcanon that fWhip was raised to be a wizard as well, failed the exams, and went to the Grimlands, quickly climbing the ranks to become the Count)
Witches:
Witches need no school; Magic and rituals are taught by families and elders and stay secretive from other empires.
Anyone could be a witch, just knowing basic spell or sigil making, and you could call yourself a witch. They follow the order of the moon and tides, making rituals and spells according to nature. What they take from nature, they must give back.
They’re very family based, and rituals are often do in groups, if not involving the whole village. The only rule is to not use magic to cause harm.
Witches are usually more about protection spells, wards and talismans, but the few witches that used their power for evil has stained their reputation to be all wicked.
After the incident of the cods and salmons, witches of the swamp took the blame for the mass destruction that led to their near extinction.
Fear grew, and the few witches remaining decided to create a council and an academy, making rules to avoid making the same mistakes again. Over the years, the number of magic users has decreased, and fear of magic has risen. Witches are still blamed and feared after all these years, and any witches breaking the now strict rules will be banished.

hm hm hm i feel like this will be really interesting to read with the knowledge of korra and how that effected her instead.... because korra (from my limited knowledge so i could be talking out my ass here) knew she was the avatar at an early age and DID get that community. she had katara and her parents, she had her mentors, she was isolated from the real world during so and perfected the elements other than air (which i kinda recall her struggling with and how its the opposite element of earth so im excited to see if those kinda play out :3) and she was more eager to be the avatar and the excitement and significance it brought (which was a bit clouded by her being sheltered but also would have been expected more before the war impacted things)
i also remember matty saying kyoshi struggled with earth bending (which im super excited to get to and see/see her journey and how it will differ) but!!! i just think its really fun how theyre kinda off the bat setting up this expectation and new grounding for readers who have a past grasp of the avatar universe. even as someone who isnt super familiar with the lore, i know enough to recognize that oh! thats something new!! so just kudos to the writer(s?) for just setting this up to be something very different and in a natural way :3

I'm curious... Granny April will always be Granny April, but how do the turtle tots see Casey Marie? Since you said they know most of their family history, does this mean they know Casey wanted to train them for war? How do they feel about this? Are some of them still a little resentful or are they already at peace with what happened and are ready to have a relationship with her?
The tots actually know April has a daughter! Even if Mikey makes a sour face whenever she does, April talks about her kid to the babies and tells them that they have a cousin. Even if the kids are aware of her existence growing up they don't really question why they've never met Casey because they know that New York is still somewhat of a war zone and that their cousin is basically the leader of the rebellion so she's definitely busy (she's somewhat of a very stranged family member since the start lol). The kids never truly talk to Casey until they are adults though. Mikey felt very strongly about them being old enough to decide if wanting to meet her after knowing she created them for war and all.
Since Michelangelo was actually able to save the babies from a child soldier life, the kids are rather forgiving of what Casey did because in the end that didn't happen and by this time Casey actually is remorseful of her way of thinking when creating them and just wants to get to know them as a family member. It takes a bit of time though (the kids, even if willing to forgive her and move on, are still very much on high alert around her (cough Uno and Moja cough). After all, they know of Mikey's life story and feel a sort of kinship of anger directed towards her (It fades away in the end though).
Definitely not resentful but still not the most buddy buddies straight from the start.

I think my favorite thing about Tank, as a character that I’ve made, is how many contradictory characters traits they have. Anyone who has gotten me into DMs to talk about Tank knows it’s one of my favorite things to talk about with Tank.
How Tank, even at the core of their being, is NEVER truly honest with himself. Is almost constantly passively lying but so desperately wants the truth.
Tank hates fighting but is so damn good at it, good enough for a while they had a profitable business with it.
Tank reacts to affection and attention like he’d break out in a rash from even a touch but we all know how much Tank craves it like a starving dog.
Tank bites, makes other people bleed and fall to the floor, no easy fight. Sharp tongue and even sharper teeth, violence a well cared for and crafted blade in Tanks hands but still..
Still Tank is so afraid, all the time. Of everything, of everyone truly.
Tank is a hunter, a predator, a dog tugging at his leash but they have prey fear AND prey rage. That abstract mix of horror and desperation of a cornered animal about to be skinned. The desperation of not wanting to be the next lump of cooking flesh on the floor, even if they had to be the one skinning someone else to make sure of it.
It’s almost funny, how much blood Tank has on their hands to make people forget the sound of their scared heart.
They can never stop hearing the quickening beating in their ears, even if their heart feels stone still.
No matter how many times people point and yell wolf, Tank will always feel like prey
