thinking about time lords and their fucked up little society again and i just realized how devastating the revelation of the drums in the end of time is in relation to the master's character.

because of all the renegade time lords in the universe, i think it's the master who most exemplifies the philosophical outlook that the time lords have towards the rest of the universe. they're stuffy observers, administrators, yes - but this position is one they've decided for themselves because of this concept of supremacy over other life forms. imposed and upheld this idea that other species that lack a time sense are less-than, primitive. and the master buys into this hard.

and i mean... compared to the doctor, the master is good at being a time lord. he buys into these supremacist concepts, this idea that every other species (and especially humans) is practically a meaningless ant in the grand scheme of the universe. takes it to the extreme, yes, but its the same underlying principle. he's a good student (despite whatever chibnall might think) - that one time lord from terror of the autons (identity forever a mystery) (its brax) even says "he did receive a higher degree of cosmic science than you." the master could play their game if he wanted to. he's remarkably comfortable with being on gallifrey/the idea of gallifrey(in eot/tlotl) than the doctor ever is. where the doctor avoids the subject of the lord presidency like the plague, the master is like "well if you kill the president you ARE the president! and then you have all of gallifrey!" and when the doctor destroys gallifrey (nominally), the master tries to rebuild it in the sound of drums/last of the time lords. tries to emulate their society. honor them in his little fucked up way. he brings them back from the time war!

and what does he get for it? how did the time lords treat him in response?

they decide to implant the sound of drums in his head, stretching back until he's a child. puts this insufferable noise, this splitting headache, in his head for his entire life. all so that they may live while he dies. because he is diseased, because of them. he has swallowed the pill, bought their propaganda, he has followed the rules, he tried to rebuild them he tried. and in response he is chewed up and spit out like trash so that rassilon's god complex can survive while the universe crumbles.

how crushing must that be to someone? to have your whole worldview - that you are better, you are chosen, you are special - come crumbling down in a few short moments? to see the revered founder-god of the civilization you have so desperately tried to revive look at you and say "you are diseased," even though he was the one to poison you in the first place?

and as his heart is torn to pieces... when rassilon says "no more," and charges his gauntlet, the master - who has spent countless lives fighting death with his bare hands - does not move.

part of me thinks he does not want to.

ulysses, who also seems to have been The sexy party instigator; is referred to as 'that madman (affectionate)' several times so he sounds like he was the life and soul of the party, even though I'm still a bit unclear on how he did get a soul back in the first place, or whether it was ever like. his own soul.

cassiopeia. finding out it was her wife's soul she ate adds... a lot of stuff to this one, but she was canonically around and a lightweight haha

"He carefully plucks the egg from the gift pile, wrapping it in spare fabric and tucking it away inside a small wooden box within his backpack for safety. Not really wanting to stick around and get accidentally pulled into scary underground tunnels or something, he shakily bids the Well Creature farewell, and continues on through the forest, just following whatever he can find that looks vaguely like a path.. He makes an occasional stop to pick up a cool rock, harvest berries, or let the cat play in the grass, but mostly just wanders aimlessly, lost in daydreams and contemplations of how his New Fun Life Of Spontaneous Adventure is going so far......

Eventually, the forest tapers off into a more open area of land, hosting what seems like a humble little village. By this point, it's nearly nightfall, which reminds him that he's actually quite afraid of the dark, so he scrambles about town for a moment until finally finding the local Inn. After nervously stumbling inside, he rents the cheapest room available, then sits alone, snacking on some free leftover food scraps and plain water. When early midlife crisis hit Jar'deen.

actually, i already found something is off with Jar'deen,when i started play with his twin's Darya and Dar'leen a few week ago but ignore it, until this notif came triggered me out.

So, this is the only solution i came out with and also with a help from 1 of u guys sending me a post about how to handle this situation.tq soo much,u know who u are 😊.

There's 2 option.. (hope this help u guys if ur sims had the same situation)

by completing midlife crisis aspiration.

let the crisis duration end its self (7 days)

what did i do?

i go with both option as long as he has a good moodlets and it will not trigger me out. And that why i being MIA about past 3 days make sure he still had that mood and giving what ever he want..cause there's sometime he want to do a robotic skill and then he change,want to do other skill then change again..and its' keep going on. if in my mother language this is call "tiada pendirian tetap" means that like he don't have any actual things that he really want to do 😌. And i also make him to retired early from his freelance job and make him start bussiness career (for the aspirations)

thanks god.. he finally recover with this situation although there will be other situation that will hit him but i have no worry, i just make his moodlets happy and he will be back normal again. bcause this is the way i love him ☺

i'm having a lot of feelings about din choosing to go back and settle on nevarro. like, yes, they retook mandalore, but he has no true connection to the planet, he hadn't set foot there before this season, he tells us repeatedly that he knows little of wider mandalorian culture—the darksaber, pog soup, those who do not walk the way—and throughout the seasons other mandalorians have continued to look down on him and his way of life. so yes he helped them retake their home planet because it was the right thing to do but also ultimately said that is not what home is for me.

because what he actually said is, "perhaps it is time for us to live in the light once again on a planet where we are welcome, so our culture may flourish and our children can feel what it is to play in the sunlight," and the place he spoke of wasn't mandalore, it was nevarro. because for him, home looks like a place where he'd once only lived in the cover of shadow, in comings and going, but now can live—can stay—in the light and the relative safety, security, and peace that it offers. a place where they can flourish. a place where he's wholly welcomed, with friends and allies who respect him and the life he's chosen to live and where he can indeed watch his son feel what it is to play in the sunlight

#i think there was undoubtedly a much more focused way to have gotten to this ending #but it at least is an ending that i appreciate #and now has set them up for a much more s1 & s2-esque s4 which would be very welcome #and also since he now only has the ss mid-life crisis to pilot around which does not have room for them to do anything but fly #they really did need to give them an actual home #anyway it was not a great season but i do think it manages to end on mostly the right note #the mandalorian #the mandalorian s3 #the mandalorian spoilers #star wars
