Joyful Thanksgiving
1 In that day you will say, "I will give thanks to you, the LORD; for you were angry with me, but your anger has turned away and you comfort me.
2 Look, in the God of my salvation I will trust, and will not be afraid. For the LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation."
3 Therefore with joy you will draw water out of the wells of salvation.
4 In that day you will say, "Give thanks to the LORD. Call on his name. Declare his doings among the peoples. Proclaim that his name is exalted.
5 Sing to the LORD, for he has done excellent things. Let this be known in all the earth.
6 Cry aloud and shout, you inhabitant of Zion; for the Holy One of Israel is great in the midst of you." — Isaiah 12 | New Heart English Bible (NHEB) The New Heart English Bible is in the public domain. Church notes - 3rd December 2023
3rd Isaiah 12
Matthew 19:16 - 30
He was never in a hurry. He engaged in meaningful conversation in everyday settings.
Life happened but he wasn't hurried.
What we do comes out of who we are.
Every time we read from the Bible we interpret through our background.
Ephesians 2:8 - 10
He has created us anew in Christ.
The Rich Young Man.
Luke 18:18 'A Ruler' vs 17 - 19 The Commandments. vs 20 'What else?' vs 21
How do we interpret the interaction between the young man and Jesus? We know what it says, but what does it mean, particularly in light of the whole of Scripture?
True inner transformation. Young man, I'm about to teach you not just what to do, but who to know. Where do your affections lie?
Delight in God. Your desires will align with His.
What you do flows out of who you are.
Remember.

Gethsemane
Holy Week is a good time to remember what Jesus did for us. He was definitely crushed in soul in the Garden of Gethsemane. This is a good devotional for this week, I hope it helps you reflect on our amazing Savior, Jesus Christ!
Even though I am torn within, and my soul is in turmoil, I will not ask the Father to rescue me from this hour of trial. For I have come to fulfill my purpose — to offer myself to God. So, Father, bring glory to your name!” Then suddenly a booming voice was heard from the sky, “I have glorified my name! And I will glorify it through you again! John 12:27-28 Gethsemane literally means “oil…

"And the strong shall be come Tinder and his work a spark, and both of them shall burn together with none to quench them"

Be careful which actions you take a stand behind. Sinful actions with no repentance will lead to just destruction.

Isaiah 12: Joy
From the first patriarch, Abraham, to every person mentioned in the Hebrews Hall of Faith, to Peter, to Paul, to the apostle John and the Revelation given him by Christ, it is the reconciliation of all things in Christ that held their attention. #Isaiah12
Salvation In His final words, alone with His disciples, Jesus had talked about the work of the Holy Spirit. And when [the Advocate] comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: about sin, because they do not believe in me;  about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, and you will see me no longer;  about judgment, because the ruler of this world…
