Sorry, I haven’t seen your Composite Mars Post in Composite master list but then found it! You can ignore my previous ask hahah
Can you tell me about Venus in 9th house in natal chart, please? I’m interested in your opinion about this aspect :3
Sure love, no problem. 😊🤎
Venus in the 9th house
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their beauty is radiant, it lies in the glow of their personality, in the shine of their eyes, their beautiful figure and the hypnotizing smile with which they captivate you. These natives are an ideal combo, since it is not only limited to external beauty, but also their spirit, their way of seeing life, their love for knowledge, their open, inquisitive and fun mentality and their ability to give greater meaning to things no matter how simple they are. They love learning new things, things that are interesting and things that make them leave their comfort zone mentally speaking. They may have a lot of artistic knowledge and can enjoy art in diverse ways. There is a jovial quality in them which expands with the passage of time, looking young no matter the passing of the years. They have the quality of being able to see beauty in things that others do not appreciate, they tend to think outside the box and are not so methodical in their thinking, having a more flexible, open and curious mind. Likewise, they are usually people who deal charmingly with people, their treatment is not frivolous or just cordial, they are warm and very fun with others, which makes them easily appreciated. All these traits make them irresistible and interesting to people. Hips and thighs can be very attractive.
With this placement of Venus, the native is more prone to trips abroad, from which they will deeply enjoy and learn a lot, this can increase once they get married. You may feel attracted to foreign countries and the idea of getting to know other places, cultures and people, and you may also feel attracted to foreign people [must mention that this placement enhances chances of marrying someone from another country]. In addition to the foreign, they are attracted to intelligent and thoughtful personalities who see beyond what seems to be obvious. Great minds inspire them and can teach them many things, things that they value deeply. They are attracted to people with more experience than them [in some cases even people older than them, especially if Saturn is aspecting Venus], to the idea of a loved one teaching them new things. Changing the subject a little, since this is a publishing house, it makes it easier for the native to be successful in publishing something, especially with a foreign public or a lot of support from people from abroad. Can make very successful writers or artists in general.
Love is a huge source of inspiration for them, they have a unique vision of it, nothing superficial, quite the opposite, they look for a deep and significant meaning in the idea of being with the person they love most. They have that quality to put a relieved, genuine and radiant smile on the face of their loved one, the one they fill with happiness, adventures and the best conversations they can have. It is valuable for them to be able to share their most personal opinions and vision of life with the person they are interested in. They love deeply and with intensity but never reaching the point of being unhealthy, love with them is liberating, enjoyable and above all accepting. They have a strong love of freedom, so it is necessary that they have a certain degree of it in their relationships. It is important for you to feel that you and your partner grow together as the relationship progresses. Many of them can give the impression of having high standards in love, since most tend to reject simple ideas of love or things that do not fit what they are looking for, they will always prefer what is meaningful even if they have to wait a little longer. The natives with this placement are the underrated hopeless romantics, since it’s the house of ideals and Venus over there increases the tendency to daydream about romance.

Fame in Astrology Series part one
Topic: Acting🍿🎬
Tumblr media
This is the first post in a series I’ll be working on. What makes a good actor and where in your chart can indicate fame. I’ll also use Denzel Washington for examples because everyone knows him lol
*disclaimer: please don’t copy my work fam lol
Ok let’s get started!
1. Your Sun and rising Sign, house Leo rules and 5th house
- sun is how we shine in public
- Leo rules over fame and entertainment
-5th house how we express our creativity
For ex: Denzel Washington is Capricorn Sun, Libra rising, Leo 11h and Aquarius 5h. He’s seen as a leader(Capricorn sun), he’s popular among his peers and the public(Leo 11). He approach acting differently or his creativity is just different from others in his profession, he may like playing different types of roles(Aquarius 5h) and he’s considered handsome(libra rising) I mean come on all of our aunties had a thing for him😅
Next we’ll look at
2. Your Midheaven
- Mc rules over your public image, how you are viewed in your Career.
-you can choose any career you desire and your Mc can show you how you’ll be perceived in it.
For ex. Denzel Washington has Mc Cancer. Despite this being a public house, he’s actually very private. May have a chill personality, easy to like. I will say cancer rules over women and and the ladies love him haha
MC can show you what types of roles you can play. Like Denzel most notable roles is involving family, women and close connections
3. Whatever planets you have in your 1h, 5h, 10h and 11h
Honorable mentions: 7h and 9h
-having planets here in any of these houses can enhance your fame especially Jupiter
Jupiter rules over expansion
Ex. Denzel has Jupiter/Uranus 10h, Neptune 1h and Moon 5h.
4. In my opinion, the moon is one of the most important things to look at in acting
- moon represents our emotions and how we express our emotions.
Actors have to know how to channel different emotions in order to really channel their character.
- I noticed actors who has Moon-Pluto or Moon-Neptune aspects are known to show deep and heartbreaking emotions on scene. These are the actors that can feel what the characters are going through
5. A lot of people don’t talk about this but Mercury is probably the most important part of acting
-mercury rules over how we process and remember information, it’s how we communicate, it also rules the media
Remembering lines is the most important part in acting, figuring out what techniques works for you will help you in the long run! How you communicate when you do interviews with the media is all shown in your mercury and 3h sign
Ex Denzel Washington has Capricorn Mercury with Sagittarius 3h. He straight to the point, may have a great sense of humor, he’s very knowledgeable and would probably make a good teacher
6. Pluto and 8h is underrated areas in acting.
- Pluto represents transforming and going within
- actors has to transform themselves into the character, depending on the actor, that can be physically and mentally. I’ve always felt like method acting is such a Pluto theme
7. Neptune rules over movies altogether
-wherever Neptune is at in your chart can give you an idea on what type of movies you’ll prosper in
Ex. Denzel has Neptune Libra 1h. Libra rules over partnerships(romantic and platonic) Law, Fairness
Go watch some of his movies and such as Training Day, Fences, Equalizer. You’ll see the libra themes
Fame in Actor Asteroids
Fama (408)- your overall fame, area you’ll be famous for
Star (4150)-your star power
Varuna (20000)- worldwide fame
Actor (12238) - acting abilities, help glimpse into what roles will suit you
Bella (695)-how your beauty is seen in the spotlight
Aura (1488)- your overall vibe, your energy
Fan (151590)-the type of fanbase you’ll attract
Even if you’re not interested in acting, you can still look at the type of movies and actors you’re attracted to for fun! I hope you enjoyed this post and make sure to keep a look out for the 2nd part to this series which is singers!

I hope this does not resonate with some meanness that i do not intend but I feel i should make a brief statement here about who I *Ahem* block.
I want to say first that most of you are great, real art lovers, people with interesting facts and insights and personal stories that enhance everyone’s appreciation. I’m grateful my followers here are these people, many of you have great blogs that have introduced me to things I didn’t know about,  but there are a couple of things I just don’t like to see here.
Most of these categories are obvious, bigots, hateful speech etc., but something less onerous that does get on my nerves after a while, are people that feel a need to talk about how bad the art is. I know this may seem minor and it’s a free country and all that, but it bothers me on couple of levels to the point where if it keeps on happening, I block the people doing it. I’m sure this is not great offense to them and most of them probably never even notice, but I’ll just explain why, not be grandiose, but to avoid further misunderstandings.
The main issue is a pretty broad internet trend, which is the idea that if you have an opinion, you must share it. There’s nothing wrong with your opinion and in fact i have posted art myself that I don’t particularly like but I find interesting or significant in some way. Thought provoking is a good category itself even if it does not check your aesthetic boxes. But i’d ask people to examine what is supposedly added, outside of ego satisfaction, by showing up just to try to knock holes in something other people enjoy.  I’m not talking here about a discussion. I think discussions are great about why someone likes or doesn’t get something. God knows I have a long list of art I can’t stand and am happy to chat about it. But, what I don’t do is find Jeff Koons paintings on tumblr and reply to them all “Garbage”. As tempting as that might be,  It’s not adding anything and it might be inhibiting to someone from discovering something new they might like, when they have to read random hatred about it. i know it seems like a mild thing but I think it’s good for all of us to remember we don’t hold the definitive stance on art.
I find this particularly absurd and egotistical when it comes to everyone’s favorite easy target, abstract expressionism. You don’t have to like it! But Mark Rothko painted his last painting over 50 years ago. I guarantee you every learned pro or con is already on the books. Your “My kid could do that” comment embarrasses you, not him. It’s an annoyance to everyone to get these “I’m an artist and...”. Trust me, everyone is an artist, it’s not a special taste license. And, it also brings up the obvious point that, formalistically, your argument on de Kooning has no merit. Basically arguing that the only good painting is the one that really, really looks like the thing it is supposed to represent is, at best, an intellectual house of cards.
So please let people enjoy what they enjoy. I came late in life to certain things  like On Kawara, who didn’t make a lot of sense to me until I saw in person how beautifully he painted. In sense there was a line for me to Japanese art traditions of craftsmanship that I already admired and he was following. It lent weight to his presentation of conceptual art. It became not just the idea but the beauty of the object and that made me love him.
Mostly, artists are just trying to express themselves and if they don’t do it in exactly the way you prefer, consider chalking that up to a difference in opinion.
As Orson Welles said, “When in doubt, don’t do anything.”

would absolutely LOVE recs for cheaper rpgs with better endings 🙏
OF COURSE!!
These are all rpg games that have been out enough that discounts and cheaper prices are quite common. I think it might depends on the country and time, but they should be relatively easy to find (both on steam, or cdkeys or gog).
I put them in order of how satisfied I was with the ending! (no spoilers)
Okay, this is a maybe. Not sure if I would call this an rpg but Heaven's Vault allow you to make choices in your game so almost? the ending is SO GOOD. I was absolutely floored and satisfied. You know when a game peppers clues everywhere and then you realize THAT was it? Not only it is good, but not everything is explained, not in a bad sense, but in a "you can put together the history of the world". Dreamfall Chapters is another game that is not a classic rpg but I would absolutely recommend. Unavowed too!
Pathfinder Kingmaker. This game is so dear to me, and the endings, especially the companions endings and the romances endings are so detailed! Little changes in the game and you can get different ones! Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous too, but that is relatively new so it might be more expensive.
The whole Dragon Age series, from origins to Dragon Age II and Inquisition (if you consider the last DLC the ending) are just perfect!
Sorcery! not only I love this rpg to pieces, but it is pretty cheap (it is one story but divided in 4 games, so you can try the first part and see if you like it). The 4th game actually reminds me of BG3 act 3 but done well haha. You have to sneak in a certain place in a city, and it is beautiful. So many choices and the romance really works so well (I think it is kinda... part of the story, as in the game benefits from having the romance in it)
Enderal (which is actually a free game). NOW WAIT. If you played this game you are wondering why I would put it even here - the thing is... I think the endings are just perfect.
Divinity Original Sin 1, no companions or romances but I found the ending a nice and complete conclusion to the game.
Neverwinter Nights 2 if you play the Mask of the Betrayer as a perfect ending!
The original Baldur's Gate games do a good job with the ending if you play the Enhanced Edition! There are also some great mods (DORN ROMANCE MOD) that in my opinion fix some things!
Age of Decadence: no companions, and definitely different from an usual rpg, imagine it more as an exploratory rpg! The ending explained every strange little thing going on in the game.
Tides of Numenera. This game gets a lot of criticism, but I think the story (for how much chaos there is in the world of the game) has an interesting and surprising ending

MEAN GIRLS MUSICAL MOVIE LESGOOO
I literally just found out about this today and- yeah yeah yeah I know the musical got a lot of hate but genuinely I adored it (and it was one of my go-tos whenever I got dragged to a scary horror movie!). So to find out that they're making a movie out of it..... I mean yes, I've got some mixed feelings, but mostly I'm excited!
I've listened to the movie album on Spotify already, and held it up against the original. I have lots of opinions.
Cast Performance
Erika Henningsen vs Angourie Rice as Cady Heron: I’m sorry Angourie I’m sure you’re great but Erika really put her soul into her Broadway performance. So much emotion, so much energy and personality in her voice. By comparison, Angourie mostly seems to be singing to sound good rather than to communicate parts of the story in the musical. (I will say however that she did do pretty good in her last song, “I See Stars”.)
Taylor Louderman vs Renee Rap as Regina George: Renee! She did actually play Regina on Broadway after Taylor Louderman. Truth be told, I love Taylor’s version (lol) the best but Renee’s is nothing to sneeze at either. 10/10, no notes.
Ashley Park vs Bebe Wood as Gretchen: Ashley Park did it better. Bebe’s songs are.. okay. But they did cut a lot of Gretchen’s lines in the MG 2024 Spotify album, so that does affect her rating.
Kate Rockwell vs Avantika as Karen: I can’t choose, they both did a good job with their roles. I feel like Kate’s Karen really echoed Amanda Seyfried’s Karen in the original movie, but from what I could tell in the Spotify album, Avantika’s spin on Karen sounds equally good. I do wish they’d given her more songs/lines!
Barrett Wilbert Weed vs Auliʻi Cravalho as Janis!! OH MY FUCKING GOD you guys. If Renee gets a 10/10 Auli gets an 11/10 from me. Auli'i definitely did her homework. Amazing, amazing, amazing.
Grey Henson vs Jaquel Spivey as Damien: There's absolutely nothing wrong with Grey's version of Damien, it's a very good match for the movie one. But Jaquel’s Damien? He had such a beautiful voice, he really went above and beyond for Damien. My vote’s for Jaquel all the way.
The Songs
I won’t be listing them all because that would make this post much too long but here are my highlights:
They cut “It Roars” for “What Ifs” in the movie. Booo. “It Roars” told a good story, “What Ifs” is forgettable, in my opinion.
Auliʻi Cravalho’s version of “Revenge Party” is awesome. She absolutely killed it (/positive) and although I’m not one to usually approve lyric changes, I love the enhancement to Janis’ character by making the song more bloodthirsty.
Renee Rap nailed “Someone Gets Hurt” but I expected no less of course.
They changed some of the lyrics in some of the songs. Some of the lyric changes were just one line, or shifting around of roles ("Apex Predator").
“Meet the Plastics” got pared down in the movie album. Actually, a lot of songs got pared down for the movie album, or just moved altogether. I guess it was to adjust for time, and also to accommodate Angourie Rice’s vocal range. Aaron apparently has no singing roles at all.
"What's Wrong With Me" is another one that got pared down. The original song from the Broadway version tops this one, hands down. Had more plot and characterisation to it, this one was. Not it.
They cut Karen's funny lines in the beginning of the song "Sexy" which. Again, is such a shame. Avantika did amazing though.
They changed parts of "I See Stars", but I'm not mad at it tbh
Final Thoughts
I think my main gripe with the movie (from what I can tell based on the Spotify album) is that Angourie Rice is just not built for the powerful belting songs that Cady sings in the musical. That’s not bad, but I just. Surely they could have found another actress to play Cady? One who could actually perform in a musical? I’m a little tired of people being cast in a movie musical and still singing as if they’re trying to record an album. They’re two different things, people.
I guess they were trying to communicate Cady’s innocent and naïve personality in the original movie? but they cut out the rest of her personality in the new songs, making her just. So flat. This is particularly noticeable in the Broadway version of “Stupid With Love” vs the movie one. We were also robbed of Cady's growl in the line "watch me shake my mane" from "Apex Predator" (which is one of my favourite parts of the musical!) It’s tragic, is what it is. I don’t think this is necessarily all Angourie’s fault- mostly, this is poor writing and/or directing.
Similar gripe with Christopher Briney, Aaron’s actor in the movie. Apparently, he didn’t even want the role when he found out it would be a musical, so they cut out Aaron’s singing parts for him. Like?? Just? Hire someone else? It’s a musical, they ought to be committing to it.
Auliʻi has such a freakin beautiful voice, and as far as her singing performance goes she is the perfect casting for Broadway-Janis. Her performance is on parr with Barett’s in my opinion. She is the perfect example of someone who almost certainly did her homework: she understands the role, she puts in the attitude, the grunge, the “fuck you” attitude that made Barett’s version so damn good. I freakin love her.
Honestly from what I can tell I do love most of the people in this album (Jaquel Spivey!!) except for Cady and Aaron. Which is kind of a shame.

Home on the range!! Im surprised to see it in a poll, i often feel im the only one i know who is aware of the evil yodeling hypnosis villain. Do you have any thoughts you wish to share about that movie? I find it quite fun!!
This will maybe be the most controversial opinion to come out of the mid-sney poll, but (aside from the film which I personally voted for. Great Mouse Detective Sweep, etc.) I think Home On The Range is the best of the films listed.
I love that it has three female leads with no romance subplot. I love the character designs on all three leads and the immediate interplay between the personalities. I love that it comes from an era where Disney could still make *comedy* animation, even if it missed the mark in a lot of ways.
Disney in the mid-2000s wasn't the "feel-good nostalgia" company yet, they hadn't hit their stride and so were still willing to experiment with different kinds of stories in the new millennium.
And it's not even a true departure. I think the yodeling cow-rustling sequence hearkens back to the "Pink Elephants On Parade" days in a deliberate way! Stuff like that just doesn't happen in Disney movies anymore except in very controlled story moments, because it's weird. But we like it *because* it's weird!
Tumblr media
(My senior animation film also was a silly story with an action sequence set in a fantastical wild-west, so I might be somewhat impartial here.)
Disney likes to remind us that animation can be beautiful and breathtaking. It can enhance the things about reality that are wonderful and make the real feel hyper-real. But it can also completely bend reality to be fun and silly and *un*-real, and those kinds of movies can and should exist too! Home On The Range might be ridiculous and over-the-top, but I like it because it reminds me of the days when that was still something Disney might do. They leave this kind of thing to Illumination and DreamWorks now.
My feelings aside though, I'd love to see Home On The Range get a retroactive fandom on tumblr where people ship the cows together. Maggie could be a butch lesbian icon! I'm just saying.
Tumblr media
Thanks for the ask!

i finished Disco Elysium last night in the wee hours of the morning after becoming wholly sucked into the game for the last several days
i had heard about the art being real good, and god damn was it ever. but it was also beautifully written. the storyline is thoughtful, and complicated, and challenging, and i enjoyed it a lot. i'm a hundred percent sure i will play this again. soon, probably.
regarding my maiden playthrough... i chose the sensitive build, and fucking loved the weird inner monologue and the dialogue options that came with inland empire. finished out with the highest totals in sorry cop and communism. did NOT understand wtf good cop bad cop score meant for most of the game but googled it eventually and was pleased at my score which ultimately totaled i think 28. smoked cigarettes a couple times to pass intelligence checks but did not allow my man Harry to drink or do drugs. successfully recruited Kim at the end of the game.
i am curious about the intelligent build but honestly i will probably stick with sensitive for most playthroughs. might do a custom build for one of the next couple games.
a few thoughts:
the psychic conversation with the insulindian phasmid was wild and beautiful, and surely one of the best written things i've come across in a while
the characters were interesting and well-written & the voice acting was great.
disappointed but unsurprised to encounter some fatphobic bullshit. i can never escape it. could have been worse tho. i've definitely seen way worse. it's not to the point that it actually got me pissed off. barely earned an audible sigh. but then again the bar is on the floor and as a lifelong fat bitch i have developed a high threshold for this shit (or maybe i'm jaded?) so take it as you will
i regret not obtaining the karaoke task and by god i WILL get that shit done in the next game
the boat ride was a very cool scene
the uncomfortable/challenging bits were well executed and enhanced the experience greatly
the weird x-files shit (like that silence thing in the church) was unexpected and highly enjoyable
pretend i said something clever and/or meta about caring super hard about Kim's opinion of Harry and how that was an undeniable facet of even my own investment, as the player, in Harry getting his shit together
god i wish i could've done something for Cuno. that kid is messed up
i went into this with a Hunch that a) this would eat my brain and b) i would want to draw fanart and i was right on both counts. idk when art will happen but it's inevitable at this point

Deus In Absentia - VIII
Tumblr media
The first time was a coincidence. The second time was a fluke. But the third time? You were starting to think it was fate. Or, more likely, a calculated trap. Reposted from my previous blog, @/zhonglis-empty-wallet AO3
He was softest in the darkest hours of the morning, you discovered; when his mind and hands needed a reprieve and yearned for you instead of his precious creations.  Some nights, the title of lover lingered in your mind.  Those moments were glimpses at the person that, in a different, kinder world, he might have been.
“Everything has improved with you here,” he mumbled into your shoulder.  “So much easier, so much better.”
You enhanced him, his work.  You.
Your name on his lips was probably the closest he ever came to uttering a prayer.
You weren’t a proper Archivist, certainly not by Akademiya standards, yet he found something of value in the quality of your work. In the comfort of your presence.  In you.
The Great Work kept you busy, long before the erosion of professionalism.  So much needed to be properly archived and preserved; a good chunk of it required transcribing because of centuries in a previous environment, one that was often a dank, moldy cavern.  Delegating only did so much.
Winter made everything harder.  You endured a broken radiator in your study, under the impression that maybe it just took a little time to turn on every unit (or perhaps Pantalone simply needed to be reminded that the cost was worth it).  A week passed before Dottore stormed in, muttering something about your notes being illegible.  You assured him you were well, suppressing a shiver all the while, but there was no hiding how cold your hands were when he pressed your palm to the corner of his mouth.
“No wonder your notes are sloppy,” he mumbled, eyes falling from you to the silent radiator in the corner.
Dottore gave the heater a swift kick, the device silent, without so much as a creak or click in response.
“Gather your things and use my office,” were his final words on the matter.
The next morning, you found a new radiator installed and a beautiful (too beautiful for the likes of the lab) coat draped on the back of your chair.  Soft, well-crafted, and warm.  Too expensive to accept, but you couldn’t not be without a coat in a Snezhnayan winter, either.
It was a statement, one more subtle than his usual boisterous behavior.  Then again, his scheming was never straight-forward.  While you were respected among the other Fatui when you spent time in the Palace above (or as respected as someone under a Harbinger could be), people talked.
It was a delicate balance.
One Dottore cared little for.  Social convention meant almost nothing; what use did he have for it outside of diplomacy?
He was particularly proud of the marks on your neck, his handiwork on display.
“Let them see,” he growled when you attempted to cover up the blatant teeth tracks on your neck one morning.  “I care not for the opinions or thoughts of those who could never understand.  Anyone who talks knows they’ll end up on my table anyway.”
That fear kept eyes from lingering too long, from whispers dying out as you approached.  It was especially noticeable when you joined Dottore for important dinner parties or other affairs, wherever he needed to be.  You were only ever introduced in your role but a silent undercurrent that you were close to Dottore ran through each interaction, each moment.  Every party was more lavish than the last, the status of a Harbinger extended to you in the form of fine clothing, finer wine, and exposure to the world you only ever heard of in storybooks.
It was clear that Dottore didn’t enjoy these things the way other Harbingers did.  He played the role he needed to, for the Tsaritsa, for the cause, but his mouth twitched in a frown for most of the events.  Useless wastes of time, he often muttered, before taking your hand and stealing you away as soon as convenient.
Not that you could really complain.  You had even less in common with your hosts, with fellow guests.  Dottore was simply sparing you the awkward moments, you rationalized.
Both of you worked together in a rhythm that no one else could follow or comprehend.
And even if they could, they wouldn’t, you knew.
The world would never be that kind.
But that wasn’t a world you wanted to be part of.  Not anymore.
____________________________
He sang sometimes, when he thought no one was around, when he thought you weren’t listening.  One song was from Fontaine, you could tell by the rhythm; another from Sumeru, the cadence quicker, more jovial.
Until one day, he told you to stay behind after receiving a missive from the Tsaritsa.  He returned with a blank expression, much like the one he wore in Mondstadt, and went back to work in his private study as if nothing happened, slamming the door behind him.
A crash.  A bang.  Something shattering.  Shouts.
Not an unusual occurrence, really.  Or perhaps you were just used to his mercurial nature.  He tended to cease his raging fairly quickly, or at least cool off just enough to form a plan of action and articulate it before trailing off into incomprehensible mutterings.  Usually, his tirades lasted all of ten minutes, often less.
This time, however…
The arm of the clock was long past the usual ten-minute mark.
And you could still make out shouts from below, no longer in familiar Sneznhayan.  The lab assistants were restless, no one brave enough to dip their head into your office and ask , but constantly walking past your door in an attempt to look busy.
Your connection to the Harbinger wasn’t exactly a mystery or a secret down here.  If Dottore could be heard ranting and raving, you were certain other things were heard as well.
Just when you thought he was finally finished and silence fell over Haeresys, you heard your title shouted at the top of the Harbinger’s lungs.
The trek down to his private study felt like a lifetime.  You entered after knocking and, once the door shut behind you, you came face to face with the results of Dottore’s wrath.
Ink dripped down the wall where he’d thrown an almost-full bottle of the substance, staining the stone and everything else in its path.  Papers were strewn about, books dented and boxed from the force at which they were thrown (you tried not to wince at the way some of the spines were snapped and pages were bent).  Shards of porcelain and glass glittered along the floor and his desk, remnants of drinks and food among the remains.  A white coat was thrown haphazardly and laid alongside broken vials and test samples, most of which would have to be done again.
The man himself was slumped over the back of his chair from behind, as though he were looking over another’s shoulder.  His eyes were locked on the desk but they were glazed over with memory, lacking their usual sharp clarity.
You were used to his scars by now.  The map of his previous life laid bare.
Harbingers were meant to abandon their former selves.
It felt sacrilegious, if such a thing applied, and yet a privilege all at once.
Something cracked underfoot as you took a single step forward; his mask, thrown with abandon, forgotten.  Dottore looked up, the fog of memory finally lifting from his gaze, crimson eyes as cold as blood-stained snow.
“Failure.  Complete and absolute failure.”
He tacked on your name at the end of his sentence, dropping all pretense of titles.  After all, what power did they hold any longer in these four walls?  You knew each other as only lovers could, there was little left to hide.
You knelt down and picked up the mask, brushing it off.  Upon inspection, the crack was only surface-level, repairable, a vein running across from the left eye, down the nose, and ending near the upper lip.  You laid it carefully upon the desk but the Harbinger made no attempt to reach for it.
“Inazuma was all but guaranteed, wasn’t it?” you asked, ignoring the will to mentally note what, exactly, would need to be reproduced now that most of his notes were ruined.
Dottore let out a derisive laugh, teeth bared.
“That’s just it, isn’t it?  It should have been.  And then some insolent Traveler snatched everything out from under us.”
He stood up and pulled his shoulders back, folding his arms behind his back as he began pacing.
“But perhaps it really isn’t that simple,” he muttered.  “Sending the Balladeer back to his homeland was a gamble, one I insisted upon.  Imagine, if you would, Archivist, a husk once intended for an Archon obtaining a Gnosis.  A puppet cast aside, too imperfect for such a divine device, defying the stars.  I was so close to finding the missing piece…”
Dottore brought his hands up and ran his fingers through his hair, tugging on the teal locks, his hands flexing as he sought his next train of thought.  He spoke quickly, trying to both process and come up with a solution, as if the latter was buried within the former.
“The Crimson Witch, defeated by an Outlander who controls elements without any kind of assistance.  Kunikuzushi is running around with a Gnosis and the capacity to become an Archon, assuming he managed to figure out how.  Years and years of carefully made plans, enacted with precision…only for betrayal and death to follow in their wake…there is no room for such imperfection…”
The weight of his words made your stomach drop.
La Signora…centuries snuffed out in an instant…
“Do be sure to cover her history, Archivist.  Rosalyne and I have… had …our differences but she was formidable and dedicated.  One did not think this day would come…least of all for the Crimson Witch of Flame.”
You stepped tentatively towards the Harbinger, careful to avoid glass and questionable substances.  His mind was elsewhere again.
“The only saving grace from Inazuma was the stock of fresh test subjects Pierro sent over.  The rest was fucking waste of time and resources.”
When you reached him, you pressed a tentative hand to his scarred cheek, not knowing what else to do or say.  The loss of two Harbingers, even if they all bickered and fought amongst themselves, was still a loss.  But there was no room for grief, to mourn.  Above all, the Gnoses must be collected.  Plans must remain in play.  That Dottore was absolutely pissed was understandable.
He leaned into the touch, posture sagging and arms falling to his sides.  For now, his rage had passed.
“The plans for Sumeru and Fontaine cannot be anything other than absolute perfection, Archivist.”
“And they will be,” you reassured him.  “After all, aren’t failures simply prototypes for better versions?”
“One such as myself does not deserve your kindness, nor that of Nasha Tsaritsa,” Dottore whispered, his eyes locking onto yours as he cupped your hand and pressed his lips to your palm.  “Nothing lasts, Archivist.  But I am inherently selfish.  I want nothing more than to take these moments before they, too, vanish.”

The Impact of Instagram on Teen Body Images and ways to ignore them
In todays age of social media, Instagram has emerged as one of the most popular platforms among teenagers. While it provides a space for self-expression and connection with friends and family, it also has a significant impact on the body images of young individuals. In this blog post, I am going to go in depth on how Instagram influences teen body images and how we can ignore them
So to start us off, I wanted to talk about Comparison Culture Instagram is filled with carefully picked profiles showcasing seemingly flawless bodies and lifestyles either if its body builders or people with a lot of makeup on. Teens are bombarded with images of those profiles. This constant exposure creates a culture of comparison, where teenagers feel pressured to conform to unrealistic and often unattainable body ideals. This was one big thing that has been on my mind for awhile, that Comparing one another is not right and should never happen, it destroys people's mental health for not being up to date on things and looks
Tumblr media
Next up on the list is Influencer Culture Influencers on Instagram often promote certain beauty standards and products. People, mostly Teens, who are highly impressionable, may idolize these influencers and would want to emulate their appearance. They may start comparing themselves to these influencers and feeling horrible or left out if they don't meet the same standards. One example being a teenager might feel dissatisfied with their body because it doesn't resemble that of their favorite fitness influencer. for example maybe its someone who wants to look like Brooke Monk, or someone who wants to look like one of the Trent twins (these are just exemples) this is what destroys people self confidence and mental health and gives them a lot of stress for “not being up to date on beauty standards''
Finally we have Filters and Editing. I wanted to talk about this as it's just stupid all around as so many people use these nowadays you cant tell whats real or not. So to start off Instagram offers a range of filters and editing tools that allow users to enhance their appearance. These tools can be used to mess around and have fun, but they also contribute to the distortion of reality. Teens might develop an unhealthy obsession with achieving the perfect look through excessive editing or using filters that create a false sense of beauty. People out there go nuts for attention, some people even spend hours on those filters perfecting them, and they don't even look like that in real life.
Tumblr media
I also wanted to mention Makeup, Its used everywhere now even if it's just a quick photo or going out, people will always use makeup, makeup in my opinion is like using one of the Instagram filters but having it on you temporally and only taking it off when you want to stop receiving attention. People go crazy on makeup just like Instagram filters which has the same consequences.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So what are some things we can do to ignore and stop it?
One main thing anyone can do is take breaks from social media take periods of time or days where you intentionally disconnect from Instagram and other social media platforms.  As well you can set a few boundaries by only being on Instagram for a few hours or even just every few days. Another thing is to take control of the content you see on Instagram by actively curating your feed by unfollowing accounts that show unrealistic beauty standards or negatively impact your self-esteem. Instead, we can follow accounts that promote body positivity, self-acceptance, and mental well-being.
In Conclusion, Instagram Is a great social media app that is used by many people worldwide, while that is the case teens will have body image issues that cannot be underestimated. The constant exposure to beauty/body building profiles, influencer culture, and the use of filters and editing tools all contribute to an environment that fosters comparison and unrealistic beauty standards. However, it's important to remember that Instagram also offers opportunities for positive change, with body positivity leading the way. As others mostly teens navigate this digital landscape, we should promote self-acceptance and a healthy relationship with social media.

JRPGs that tried something ambitious but failed in your opinion?
The Diofield Chronicle. I actually like this game but wow is it ROUGH. I like the concepts and it's story but the gameplay isn't great. The game is kinda barebones like you can tell the devs are stretching things as far as they can from gameplay to assets to story. There's so many characters who have interesting concepts but because there's so many of them no one really gets developed, by the end of the game I barely got a sense of who they were. A lot of them don't play all that differently either. The game would have been much better with half the cast. The devs really tried something different, The Diofield Chronicle is unusual and unique in a lot of ways, haven't seen much like it, but that uniqueness also means it doesn't appeal to popular tropes and concepts.
.
Octopath Traveler 1 isn't a failure in my opinion but it is janky at times. The devs were very ambitious in making a JRPG that was only sidequesting. At it's best I can see the vision they had of a living interconnected world told vignette style. But they didn't quite pull that off, the biggest problem is writing quality, the main character story chapters were such a mixed bag writing wise some were good, bad, or meh. The beauty and curse of short form fiction is that it must be concise, every word must do the work of 5 words, which is why the best short stories are masterworks of writing. Octopath Traveler isn't that, it wastes it's limited writing space and should have said a lot more with what it had. The next problem is that the side stories weren't memorable. It was extremely hard to keep track of them and easy to get lost since some of them are interconnected. As a whole it ended up being a little too fragmented with each fragment unable to stand on it's own or connect to other parts. Some of the menu UI was pretty rough too, could have been better designed.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor was an ambitious game that succeeded in every metric except financially. It is one of the most underappreciated games ever. Everything about this game is so good. The time mechanic was really cool making actions and battles limited resources while also narratively putting on pressure. Loved the battle system, it goes very deep and hybridizes grid based and party turn based combat. The characters are great and so is the story, game really makes every choice count.
oh special mention to Pathologic (not a JRPG) and Darkengard who play so terribly it actually enhances the story and the themes of the games by being unplayable and a generally miserable experience.

In your humble opinion:
Do you think some of the press tour for ROP was (unintentionally or no?) ship-baiting?
I have noticed that when Vickers is alone his answers are vague but more detailed when with Clark???
That being asked… I LOVE your writing! Thank you so so much for being immensely engaging with-in the fandom. ( Your make it a safe place !)
Let's ask the person who sent my last two anons in. I think they got a pretty good idea how to answer this. LAST ANON, COME FORTH AND ANSWER THIS. SHOW YOURSELF. SHOW YOURSELF.
So, he goes back and forth a lot, even within his solo interviews, and I'll call him out on it. In interview published on Oct. 14th (x), Charlie says this:
Charlie: That’s something I thought about a lot, but I don’t think so. W.H. Auden wrote an essay on Tolkien, and he said something along the lines of, “Evil loves only itself.” [“Evil, defiantly chosen, can no longer imagine anything but itself.”] So I think in his pitch to Galadriel, it cannot mean that he loves her or that there’s any kind of romantic relationship. There should be no ambiguity around the fact that Sauron is evil — he’s terrible, and he’s using Galadriel to enhance his power. Throughout the season, she shows him a different way of ruling and maybe illuminates some things for him. So in making that pitch, I think he’s saying, “Join me and we can rule, and I can coordinate everything and rehabilitate Middle-earth.” But having said that, I also think he would have gotten there anyway without her. He would have descended back into evil. It was inevitable. Haladriel shippers will despair. Charlie: [Laughs.] Shipping, by the way, is actually a word that Morfydd taught me! Hopefully people will see that any kind of romantic feeling, which couldn’t exist, vanishes into thin air.
Then, five days later, in an interview published on Oct. 19th (x), he says this:
There are a lot of viewers who wanted Galadriel to accept Sauron’s offer, despite what he did in the past and what they know he’ll do in the future. Has that reaction surprised you, considering who you’re playing? Vickers: I have been surprised by that. A few people have said that to me. But I think it’s great. Whatever our intentions were as performers, in creating this relationship, we don’t have ownership of how people interpret it. So it’s awesome for people to interpret it as a romantic thing, or however it might be interpreted. It was slightly surprising to me, as it seems to go against what my thoughts were when we were doing it, but I think it’s cool. I think it’s really cool.
Okay, Charlie, make up your mind. It's one or the other. You either think (a) we need to let this go because it couldn't exist and it needs to vanish into thin air, or (b) you think our interpretation is awesome, and you also think it's great and really cool.
SO, PICK ONE, CHARLIE. PICK ONE.
With that out of the way! Awww, I'm just having fun! Thank you so much for the lovely feedback on my writing! I appreciate that! Y'all send me so many asks, I don't know what to do with half of them sometimes, but I love talking to all of you!
I'm glad I can help make it a safe space! I think it's a beautiful thing when fandoms bond together and interact, especially those within a fandom ship. We should all be friends, damn it! Those are my humble opinions.

KnB 30-Days Challenge
Day 2 : Favorite Female Character
Tumblr media
Aida Riko ❤️🌟
Well, even if there aren't really many female characters to choose from, it was really hard for me to choose who my favorite girl from this show is. Still, after a lot of thinking, Riko won. There are many reasons one could love this girl for, but one of my favorite things about her, that I endlessly love, is how she helped me realise that women can, indeed, be leaders, great ones. What makes her a great leader is how she treats her team members as her equals, she asks for opinions and values them, cares for the wellbeing of her team and she is able to make compromises easily, she is adaptable and agreeable. She is also sharp, smart and witty, she makes decisions quickly and she is able to make new plans and ideas in a second! She is also really hard-working and she dedicates a lot of her time to the team, I wouldn't be surprised if she sacrificed some really important things to attend games or practices a bunch of times. She truly loves her team and she is happy to be a part of it! Other than her being a really good coach and leader, hard-working and passionate, I think that she is really, really beautiful.
Sometimes I have a feeling that the creator purposely made her look the way she does to enhance Satsuki's beauty, and all those scenes where Riko compares herself to Satsuki hurt to watch, especially because since episode 1 I thought that Riko was gorgeous. Her short hair suits her beautifully, being a coach of a men's basketball team doesn't make her a tomboy or any less feminine, and of course, having a flat chest doesn't make her any less of a woman or should make her or any other woman feel unattractive.
I think that Riko is probably the best-written female character in the series, she is charming in her own way, kind, beautiful and pretty awesome! ✨️

heres my thing i wrote specifically because my teacher wrote a huge paragraph about this exhibition on historical mens fashion (sorry to link a vogue article, i do so only for the photo i need) specifically the following photo;
Tumblr media
in which she discussed the dress on the left at LENGTH, around 200 or so words at least, talking about how revolutionary it was for harry styles to wear this dress on vogue. not mentioning ONCE even in passing the dress on the right worn by billie porter a full year prior that kicked up its own media frenzy a year prior.
this pissed me off to no end so i submitted the following for one of my module essays, sorry some of the citations are so lame and there are so few they had to be from coursework. and sorry i couldnt discuss more i only had 500 words give or take
skip the first two paragraphs if you only want to see the rant.
Module 2
2.2 How has masculine dress changed throughout history?
A great quote to describe the history of western masculine fashion ideals comes from a symposium by Dr. Valerie Steele on the colour pink and its history, when she discussed how the colour officially became feminine in the west she said; “The reason pink became feminised, that colour became feminized, was that it left the masculine wardrobe.” (1:23- 1:30). This quote quickly encapsules a reoccurring trend in attitude toward fashion trends that is repeated throughout history in regard to what clothing is considered to be ‘masculine’. The item is masculine until it is considered feminine.
Another example of this rule of this given in the High Heels, Wigs, and Beauty lecture is the feminine appearance of a heel or a high boot. Both of these attributes originally were associated with masculinity because they were practical (as most modern masculine fashion is, anything impractical is feminine), their length protected the leg and the heel could be used to anchor a horse rider’s foot to the stirrup, giving them better control. As well as aesthetic achievements of the heel increasing the wearers height, a masculine ideal.
Women originally adopted heels into their wardrobe to add masculinity to their style, and once they started to do so it was observed that the heel could serve to enhance the appearance of the wearer’s legs and rear end the style was quickly sexualised and lost all staying power in the masculine wardrobe. While there are ways for men to dress in an erotically evocative style the heel became synonymous with a sensual sexuality, that is not compatible with a strong masculine sexual energy. And as a result, heels left the masculine wardrobe in the west.
The fashion cycle has been trending more androgynous for quite some time now, and with the revitalised memory of historical queer, androgynous male icons such as Prince and David Bowie coming back into the public conscious with their deaths, as a contrast to the heavy heterosexual masculinity of the early 2000’s, androgynous male fashion is coming back into style. Coming off of the backs of black, queer American men such as the dress displayed at the end of the LACMA’s collection Reigning men, worn by black, gay, androgynous champion and icon Billy Porter to a 2019 red carpet event, who has worn many dresses to events before and since. That same exhibition also highlights how feminine fashions have even been adopted by white cishet men such as Harry Styles on the cover of Vouge, which at the time kicked up a huge media frenzy. Him being an excellent contrast to Billy Porter, who dresses the way he does as a product of his pride in his identity, as Harry Styles, as an ex-boyband member, is someone happy to mold himself to fit whatever aesthetic is most marketable, even if to outsiders his choice is a perceived risk the amount of backing he received from his core audience is undeniable evidence in the shift on public opinions of masculinity that have been built by queer people for the past few decades.
But ultimately, as is often the case, he reaped all the benefits and cultural relevance from left leaning media built off of a history of androgyny built and fought for by queer black people while their efforts are quietly forgotten. While his iconic cover is an example of a shift in public opinion, attaching him to the head of the movement is wholly attributed to the wrong source.

i recommend the pink: history of color video, its very fun and interesting.
given more time and space i wouldve explored the neutralisation of mens bodies and fashion and the power this holds, the relationships race and sexuality play and butchness in non-men i think. my other 3 essays all included butch and stud women though so dont be sad. the rant also left no room for a conclusion but this was not an essay it was a short response, feel free to look up my lecturer whos name is included in my citations to see her cosplay which she advertised in every class she taught. also feel free to notice that she only cosplays japanese characters in traditional edo or earlier clothing. i think thats weird for no reason other than i do not like her

Top 5 Worst Films of 2022
Okay, so. Here we go. At the end of January... my personal summary of the year. This shit is surprisingly difficult. A Best list will also be done, but I thought I'd start with the negative first so as to not end the year on a sour note.
I would like to emphasise that these are my opinions, and if you disagree... fight me in the inbox. Okay. Here we go. And yeah, it's going to be long.
5. The Invitation
Tumblr media
Despite the beautiful costumes and decent performances, this nominally January horror fell flat with its mundanity, half-arsed references to Dracula (of course), and compensation for the 15 rating. Sophie Corneliusson is having a whale of a time, though.
4. Firestarter
Tumblr media
Not terrible, but not good, either. Some lines felt they were written by a completely different person, and a great deal of promise was shat on and binned. Left feeling nothing. No wonder it bombed.
3. Crimes of the Future
Tumblr media
A VERY controversial choice, I know, but I was really looking forward to this one, and the final product was a letdown. The worldbuilding is really well-developed and Kristen Stewart is pretty good, but unfortunately, I couldn't get past the wanky dialogue and the apparent lack of plot (and point) until the end. Disappointing.
2. Fruits Basket: Prelude
Tumblr media
Maybe it's because I watched it drunk but I didn't understand what the fuck was going on at any given time. Completely inaccessible for those who hadn't seen the TV show. Completely frustrating watch. Again, really pretty to look at.
Honourable Mentions
Morbius: I don't think I need to elaborate on this. Also I will glue Lego to the feet of anyone who quotes any meme from this film. And I do mean anyone.
The Next 365 Days (Kolejne 365 dni): I want to sit down with the script translator and whoever organised the soundtrack and ask them "why?". Just "why?". They can answer in Polish, I'll just Google Translate their answers like they Google Translated the script and then play an on-the-nose song as I do so.
The 355: Eh.
Luckiest Girl Alive: Terrible characters, terrible handling of themes. Hope someone hired a chiropractor for Mila Kunis - she must have been in agony after carrying this film.
And now, the worst thing I saw this year...
1. Jurassic World: Dominion
Tumblr media
Films are meant to be one cohesive project wherein scenes are joined together to build a story. A film should be as long as the story naturally goes. If there are any legacy characters, they should be used to enhance a story, and not be a crutch for it. The existence of a sequel should be justified; a second sequel should definitely need more explanation as to its existence. In a second sequel, existing characters should be actual characters and not just stock photos of tropes. A filmmaker whose career spans twenty years should have this drilled into his head. Dominion is a two and a half hour display of this not being the case at all. Trevorrow, put the cameras down, take your money, and slip away into the night before you can embarrass yourself any further. You're done, and you've taken the franchise with you.
Thanks for reading! Best Of post coming soon.
~ Mikey
