I feel like if you think about it, Pearl could've rebelled from the rebellion itself. She could have said "I'm a free Gem now, I bow to no one! I'm leaving to explore the world/galaxy, goodbye!"
(and that would have given Pink/Rose seventeen more layers of trauma, but we're not going to get into that right now-)
But she didn't. She chose to remain by the side of her Diamond.
And I just gotta wonder, at one point did she stop staying out of her role as a servant and start staying out of love? When did the path of one perspective end and the other begin? Were they ever truly separate in the first place? It's clear that Pearl was in love with Rose for like, ever, but when did she decide that she was officially choosing her own love for Rose over her programmed loyalty to her? Did she ever fully separate the two feelings?

saw one of those "king, soldier, poet" edits of thominewt and I cannot stop thinking about the classification of Minho as a soldier
Him seeing himself as just that: a soldier. A hired gun, a shield from harm, a future martyr.
When's he's made Keeper of the Runners, he doesn't understand what that means at first. It takes him a long time to realize that, when he was down, the Runners were down. When he was exhausted, the Runners were exhausted. They looked to him as an example, and so he had to be the best Runner. Couldn't be anything else. A fighter, always at the front of the line. Giving hope.
He's realized and made peace with the fact that he was going to die one day. Then he did his best to make sure that, when that inevitable death came, it was on the battlefield. As a soldier. Protecting the Gladers. Protecting non-soldiers. The poets and kings and people who could contribute more than bloody knuckles and broken bones.
Sometimes I think about him stumbling around Paradise, confused. Unsure of what to do. Unsure of why he's still alive. Especially when the Gladers he was supposed to die to protect are dead. Minho being unable to realize that the best way to protect the dead is to continue living.

definitely not the first person to say this but i fucking love how well reigen represents the themes of mob psycho
like, you have the "you do not need to be Special to be special" motif going throughout the whole thing, but almost every character in the main cast is Special. they all have the powers. Except Reigen. He's just some con artist that Mob met by coincidence one day. You could even argue that, even among Normal People, Reigen isn't particularly special. His only notable quality that sets him apart from the rest of the cast is having good social skills. Compared to people like Musashi, Reigen is a pretty aimless individual, especially when Mob isn't around.
And despite all that, he's still one of the most important characters in the entire story. Despite the fact that almost all of his contributions to the plot were him just talking to people like a normal person. He's not a hero, he's not driven, he's not an especially good person, and he still touched the lives of countless people just by being there.
tl;dr the first OP's lyrics are about reigen

Tbh I hate to be the downer, again the inn is super cute and I'm all for this kinda of retirement but I think the ending for Ed and Stede is a bandaid for a major injury for a few reasons:
We don't really see Stede and Ed's convo about the Inn or Stede's genuine thoughts on him retiring. Like Ed obviously wants to retire but does Stede? Yeah he's happy to be by Ed's side but does he truly want to stop something he's clearly wanted to do and was enjoying
Ed still hasn't truly figured things out for himself and I kinda feel like a lot of his self worth is still coming from just Stede. And in general they're so absorbed in each other and while they have addressed that, them basically leaving everyone else for this can easily make it where they backslide into that
Also I still kinda see the inn for them is going to be what the antique shop was for Anne and Mary
Izzy literally emphasizes how the Crew of the Revenge is their family and...they both basically leave them right when all this potentially dangerous crap potentially going to happen with the Golden Age of Piracy dying out

One of the few good thing about having to learn about the details of German law is that I get in contact with beautiful German legal terms such as
Beschwerdegegenstand
Urteilsbegründung
Prozesskostenhilfeantrag
Versäumnisurteil
Gütergemeinschaft
Zurückweisungsbeschluss
Gesamthandseigenum
Idk I'm weird like that.

Wondering how many sleepless nights Will Byers has spent thinking about his abduction to the UD and his possesion.
Wondering how many nights Will fell asleep with tears on his pillow because he was feeling alone, unwanted and forgotten.
Wondering how many times Will has thought he was a mistake and that he should've stayed in the UD, wishing they didn't find him because he believes he has ruined the lives of his loved ones.
Wondering how many times Will has blamed himself for what happened at the Lab and for Bob's death.
Wondering how many times Will thought about reaching out to Mike to tell him and to be comforted by him but changed his mind because crazy together became an empty-promise due to the lack of letters and calls and the phantom of their rain fight.
Wondering how many times Will had to silence his sobs and pretend it didn't hurt him.
Wondering how many times Will has thought about losing his safe havens: Castle Byers and his place at Mike's side.
Just wondering how many times...

I love how Good Omens deals with dichotomy. Angels and demons, an Angel that sins and lies and deceives but stays loyal to God and his principles; a demon who does good, kind and nice, questioned God but stays loyal to his angle and his principles .
They are not just opposites, they are also complementary and how not? If demons used to be angels, and angels can become demons.
Both are unholy in different ways, but Aziraphale still lives behind his lies, Crowley accepted all of them and shows himself as he is

Ships
A : I hate your ship B : I hate your ship too A : You can't do that! My ship is healthy. Yours isn't! B : Well you shouldn't have bashed my ship if you don't want to be bashed back! A : It's free-speech! And this is MY opinion And it keeps on repeating. We're just playing with barbie dolls and make pretend.

On Thursday I have the ADOS-2 assessment and I don't know how to feel. I know it isn't a diagnostic tool per se, but I really hope it can give me some answers.

Well, the “Mario dies” fic is finished--or, as finished as it could be before April 5th hit in my time zone. There are more revisions I wish I could make to the fight scene, but I wanted this to be posted before the movie makes it outdated. As a result, it’s a bit rushed, and I apologize.
Despite its problems, I still hope it’s enjoyable!

I hate that my intrusive thought of "Skibidi Toilet's latest arc has probably done more for feminism than most big-budget banner franchises from the last decade" might be an actual correct thought.
