this is entirely self indulgent LMAO but here's how the characters would be @ the eras tour.

zen would love the concert. while he may not listen to all of her music, he very much enjoyed the entire set and especially loved how happy you were to be there. probably wouldn't join in on any of the chants or trade any bracelets, but instead looks at you with a smile every time you do. definitely takes a lot of pictures of you, and taylor, and then the both of you because your matching outfits are just the cutest. his favorite era would either be lover-- he can't help but look at you throughout the entirety of lover-- or 1989, because the visuals and the sound just completely enrapture him.

yoosung would just be happy to be there! knows her earlier stuff, but doesn't really know anything beyond 1989. goes feral over the fearless era, and screams almost as loud as you along to love story. if there's a proposal at your concert, you can bet he'd be crying while witnessing it-- and also a little jealous that he didn't think of the same idea. poor boy almost dies during vigilante shit-- his face is redder than a tomato and he chokes on his spit as he tries to look anywhere but the stage. you take many photos of this.

(or, at least, he doesn't wear anything he wouldn't usually wear, but. it's looks pretty reputation era, so you're happy.) despite his grumbling and his anxiety, saeran really did love seeing you so happy and carefree. is surprised by how much he enjoyed the reputation era, and ignores your smug look as he adds the songs to his playlist later on. refuses to take any pictures or videos, and will only be in a few for you.

Jumin worries for you often, which is an extension of his love. He cares for you, and especially when he's not around to look after you himself, he likes to call and be sure that all is well. If anything ever happened to go wrong, he would swim an entire ocean to ensure your safety above all else.

He calls to ask if you've eaten around lunchtime everyday, and will do the same thing around dinnertime if he finds himself working overtime. If he finds that you haven't yet, he urges you to do so in order to keep your strength up.

He leaves voicemails for you to wake up to when he's on business trips that take him away overnight. They're sweet and sometimes incredibly comforting, reminding you of your best qualities, saying he misses you and can't wait to be in your arms again, and relaying parts of his own day to you.

When he knows you've been working continuously or very hard for a certain amount of time, Jumin is sure to give you small measures of encouragement, but also asks you to sleep and be sure to take care of your needs.

He reminds you to put your seatbelt on each time you get in a car with him, and warns you of any potential dangers; even if they're miniscule at most. "Watch your step, love." // "Careful, the pan is hot, be sure you don't burn yourself." // "Don't rush, —the knife is sharp, angel."

Jumin requests that you call or text him when you travel a longer distance, just to let him know that you made it safely. He typically won't sleep or turn his phone off to work until he knows you've gotten where you need to go alright.

Jumin also offers his assistance to you in the face of small tasks. If you're preparing food, he'll offer to do some of the work; like chopping vegetables or making a side dish. If you're cleaning, he'll offer to take one half of the room in order to lighten your load. If you're washing dishes, he'll offer to dry them or put them away.

Sometimes, he also sends flowers to you at random and for no particular reason. They're always accompanied by sweet notes, —ones you've stored for safekeeping.

Hyun often tells you how he feels in different ways and offers a variety of compliments to you in order to show his appreciation.

He frequently tells you that he's happy to have met you and mentions how he feels your presence in his life has impacted him for the better. Hyun also insists that you bring out the best of him just by being yourself.

He also reminds you that he's there for you if you ever need to talk about anything, —or even if you just need a shoulder to cry on. Though he might not always have the right answers, he does what he can to give advice from time to time, and though it doesn't always hit the mark, you can't help but be thankful for his efforts.

Love is often a verb for Hyun, leaving him to show his feelings through physical means. When he comes home after a long day, the thing he wants most is a warm hug from you. He'd even go as far as to say that he doesn't feel right relaxing until he's had his evening embrace.

Kisses are another physical way Hyun says "I love you." Anywhere on your body he can comfortably press his lips at a given time is good enough for him; although he is impartial to your lips, jaw, and forehead, in that order.

Hyun also doesn't skimp on acknowledging the effort that you put into the relationship. He often tells you that he's appreciative of everything you do for him, and he's sure to say thank you after even the smallest things.

Packing a quick lunch for him to take to rehearsal in the morning? "Thank you so much, I'll be sure to eat every last bite!" // Getting a stain out of a shirt for him? "I appreciate it so much, thank you!" // Getting him a small present for no reason in particular? "I love it, thank you! I'll cherish this forever!"

Almost all of Saeran's "I love you"'s are silent to begin with. He's not the biggest fan of verbally expressing things when they have to do with his feelings. It's easier for him to show it through little things than it will likely ever be to verbalize everything that crosses his mind. 

One of the most frequent ways Saeran says "I love you" through actions is by giving you food from his plate. He'll offer you small bites here and there, maybe some when you're not looking as well, just to make sure that you eat enough.

He calls when you're away from one another for no reason in particular, just to hear your voice. He might not phrase it that way, often brushing it off as "just because," but it's easy to read between his lines.

Saeran often insists that you let him fix things, even when it's not necessary. He'll prompt you closer and take care of whatever the issue is with typical ease, all the while never making you feel small or embarrassed for having the issue in the first place. Even his small comments are more playfully sarcastic than anything.

"You didn't have to ask" is another favorite phrase of his. Saeran will often remind you that you don't need permission every single time to do certain things like giving him a quick kiss on the cheek or snuggling up to him in bed at night.

He comments bluntly on little things as well and tends to repeat the sentiments if he finds that it makes you smile. "You're warm." // "You smell nice. . . It's relaxing." // "That color looks nice on you."

𖦹. ━ JAEHEE !!

Jaehee checks in on you often, —making sure you've eaten, making sure you've gotten enough sleep, and even helping to keep track of any deadlines or time-frames you may have to adhere to in your life.

She also leaves lots of room for information about you in her mind. Jaehee knows how you like certain foods cooked, how you like certain drinks made, and she loves listening to you talk/rant about media you enjoy. As someone who can get quite into entertainment of that nature herself, Jaehee enjoys discussing characters and storylines with you, even if she's never personally engaged with the root media itself.

Jaehee also offers words of encouragement to you often, letting you know that she believes in you and will be there to support you no matter what. If you need help with anything, —she's the one to go to. She's well versed in many things and completes tasks with an almost astounding precision.

She also seeks to share any burdens that you carry. Jaehee's worst fear is you bottling everything up inside as she's done in the past, leaving yourself to bounce between uncertainty and indifference. Any problems you're facing, she'd like to face them with you.

Zen is very interested in what you do, he is always very happy to support you in anything you do because you have helped him gain his courage back. He has this smile on his face whenever he watches you play, he truly thinks you are amazing and get ready for a big hug after you are finished.

Don't worry, he has a lot of things to help relax your muscles since he uses a lot of beauty products and Zen has a gentle yet firm touch whenever he massages you. He exercises so much that he has a lot of tips and tricks up his sleeve to help you so stay back and let his magic work on you.

Zen definitely can also help you if you ever need to exercise and get more stamina so you can run faster. He likes to do daily jogs with you and spend more time with you since you two are busy with work. After an intense workout, he always takes an extra step to make sure you are comfortable and okay before resting himself.

the other two rooms were designed by yourself and zen and are where each of you retreat when you need some space — zen is basically a living radiator and during the summer it’s basically unbearable to share a bed with him, but you all manage to get through by staying on call while you sleep

you and jaehee are forever receiving random selfies and gym pics from your boyfriend and neither of you would even dream of complaining about it

zen makes no effort to keep his attraction to you both a secret and it’s such an ego boost to have him looking at you and very earnestly complimenting you all of the time — the whole ‘wolf’ thing is definitely true when it comes to him but thankfully he’s pretty good at containing himself when you’re in public

you have weekly dates and you rotate who gets to choose the activity every time — so one week you could be spending a quiet afternoon talking and laughing over steaming cups of coffee/tea/hot chocolate, the next you could be learning some martial arts, and then the week after that you could be going up to zen’s hangout to stargaze (it’s a complete mixed bag and you all love it)

I am so sorry this took so long XD I've never even considered writing for Vanderwood, but he seems cool. I should write for him more. It's a bit ramble-y, so sorry! I hope you enjoy :D

Zen:

He had no idea. Like none

Once he finds out you’re a secret agent, he is BAFFLED

He worries for you as a first instinct, but quickly learns you’re capable of handling yourself

He will observe your work, and praise you for it despite not knowing what 90% of it is

You try and keep him out of it, and he respects that

He acknowledges that it could be dangerous, but it makes him respect you more

His work can be dangerous to some degree, but nothing like yours

He will stand down if you expressed not wanting to involve him in something specific

Otherwise, he’s there for you when you need to talk about a particularly difficult assignment

It’s also very time consuming, but he also works…a lot. So in a way, it kind of works out

He’ll send you gifts to your shared house, (before it was a po box because there was no way you were telling someone new your actual address, agents have spent way too much time trying to find that information, thank you very much!) and you send presents to his sets so you both have things that remind you of the other!

Overall he’s very trusting. He takes pride in knowing one day…one day you’ll fully open up to him. 

He waits patiently for that day to come

Jaehee:

She has some idea that you would be a secret agent

You and 707 talked sometimes in the rfa chat…and there was a clicking sound in her head once she knew 707 was an agent

All those code words…the fact you’re rarely in the chat, and when you are…it’s almost brief

It made sense to her

She’s a bit more curious than Zen, asking questions calmly but carefully as to not sound too…curious

But she ends every question in a “You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to/can’t” 

She’ll respect your boundaries, as she has some of her own, and she is a kind person at heart

She gets worried when you’re gone on a job, but takes the time to catch up with you after you’re back

If you wanna talk about the job, she’ll listen! If not…she’ll make your favorite beverage and give you a cake/pie she hand made herself just for you! 

As a woman who used to have a lot of obligations and authority in Jumin’s company, she knows when she can or can’t talk about details of an assignment

So she’s perfect at knowing when to pry and when to leave it be

Yoosung:

He is…not like the other two. He NEEDS to know anything and everything

He’ll pout if you don’t tell him something of a job, and even whine 

But he’s not heartless, he won’t genuinely be mad, just concerned

His prying comes out of his fear of abandonment and concern for your safety

He knew being a secret agent could be dangerous, ever since he went with 707 on an assignment that caused both to come off worse for ware

Once the initial fear wears down some, he’ll look at you with stars in his eyes

“Please, please, pleeeeease tell me what you did on your last mission?” 

He’s a golden-retriever boyfriend, and can get excited easily

You fear for that, given your job, so you keep many details private

But sometimes you can’t help but fall for those big eyes all over again, and tell him SOME details on your latest jobs

His excitement only ever falters if you were put into danger

(You don’t have the heart to tell him you are ALWAYS in danger)

Then he gets worried and asks questions about your safety rather than the job

He would be devastated if something happened to you, so you’ve learned to keep the dangerous details out of the stories unless you have an obvious wound/scar, in which you downplay it immensely

At some point, he demands to go on assignments with you when you come back with a particularly nasty wound

He could get hurt…but nothing like the people who aimed to hurt you. They get no mercy from him and it can be alarming to watch…

He just loves you so much…

707:

He knows SOMETHING is up

As soon as you were added to the rfa chat, he did an immediate background check

It was clean…too clean

And as far as he could tell, the background only goes a few years back and you were more than a few years old

He becomes increasingly intrigued, and tries to question the possibilities

You could be from a foreign country, but there would still be a paper trail there

Witness protection was a possibility, but that didn’t feel right either

It was when you met in person at the RFA Charity Party that he put the pieces together

The stance of someone who was well guarded shone through your nature and made him certain you were an agent as well

After that, he interrogated you often

In turn, you interrogated him

It was around the same time that you found out each other’s identities for certain

After that? You started working together. Might as well, right?

You learned to respect each other’s work, and became each others special person to tell anything and everything to

Who else better to understand an agent’s work than…another agent

Jumin:

At first, he couldn’t find the time to care about you…(as mean as it sounds)

But after 707 told him something was off about you, his curiosity peaked

He cared for the other members of the RFA, so he found it a personal mission of his to figure out if you were dangerous to work with

And yes…you were…just not to the members of the RFA

He paid 707 a generous sum to investigate everything about you

He declined the money, but after more persuasion from Jumin he just had to accept

It took some time, but 707 was able to inform Jumin that you were an agent from another agency

Jumin remained guarded in this time, but when 707 told him you were one of the good guys, he relaxed a bit

He would invite you to his building for dinner and a drink, and eventually you both opened up about the weight on your shoulders

Jumin was in charge of a lot of people, and it was completely new to you

You just worked alone

But to the same end, Jumin couldn’t comprehend how you could do work for you and you alone

You both talked about the ins and outs of it, and ended up longing for the other’s positions, before reality set in and you realized the work you did fit you better

Jumin has very similar, but very different problems that you have

You’ve bonded over weights carried, and find yourselves able to relax more in the other’s company

On the outside, you looked like a high-class couple. And well…you were

And it worked for you two

Vanderwood:

He’s PISSED when 707 informs him that another agent is working in the RFA

It makes him more invested in the chats, often trying to read through 707’s chats, but he isn’t having it

707 jokes that he can join the RFA, but neither party really wants that

Instead, he does a lot of research on you

Finds out exactly who you are and what agency you work for

He’s a bit relieved to find you primarily work alone

Technically you don’t even have a boss, a freelancer if you will

Just…as a secret agent

In a way that also makes him more hesitant, and spends days upon days between his own assignments learning more about you

At one point, you message him on his personal cell

“Nice to know I have your interest, Vanderwood. You could just message me instead of stalking me online, but I suppose that’s more fun.”

After that, you talk regularly

At first it was a mutual distrust, but eventually turned into something more

He found he kept your identity secret from his own agency, and even offered to take his personal time to help you with assignments

He knows you don’t really NEED his help, but he offers anyways

Working with another agent…maybe it wouldn’t be so bad?

you can't remember when your heart started fluttering around jaehee, or when just hearing her soft voice and even softer giggles was enough to have you blushing. and as time passed, it became harder to keep your feelings at bay. every time she entered a room, your eyes were drawn to her, and every time she popped into the chatroom, you immediately abandoned the conversation you were having just to talk to her.

your quiet admission had jaehee weak at the knees. never before had someone spoken about her with such softness, with such love in their voice. you jumped when you saw her standing in the doorway and stuttered out a quick goodbye to zen as she made her way over to the sofa you had been sitting on. "you can pretend like you never heard that." you offered, voice barely above a whisper as you stared at your phone. fear was coursing through you and your mind was racing with all the ways she could react. would you lose her as a friend? would everything be awkward and stilted now?

you hadn't, however, counted on jaehee warmly smiling at you and moving to grasp your hand between hers. "i had hoped...of course, i didn't want to be selfish, but i had hoped you harbored feelings for me." jaehee spoke, her thumb lightly caressing the length of your palm. "i...i really like you." she admitted, glancing up through her lashes and chuckling at the way your head whipped up. "i just never thought i had a chance, so i...didn't want to say anything. didn't want to overstep any boundaries."

additionals: you'll be a college student just like yoosung for his part and you'll both be sharing an apartment. as for jaehee and jumin, just around the same age as them

jaehee is one tough cookie that's for sure. when she's working she is WORKING. no distractions and barely any breaks until work is done. well, except the occasional bathroom break, checking on the rest of rfa and calling jumin to update him and talk with him about his schedule

let's say jaehee had promised to spend some time with you but then got some unexpected work dumped on her last minute

she'll be extremely apologetic, promising to spend more time with you and to make it up to you once she's finished, and that's the last you hear from her for the past few hours

although you don't mind jaehee working, you definitely don't appreciate her work stressing her out and her having to put off hanging out with you for the nth time now

so what better thing to do than to try and pry her from work right? besides according to the call with jumin, it doesn't need to be finished tonight so she can still put it off for later

"jaeheeeeee" "y/n, you know i'm still busy. i promise, later. just let me do this for a while"

this went on for some time but as said earlier, she is one tough cookie. she won't just step away from her work that easily unfortunately :(

you decide to let her work for a bit while you formulate a plan. you don't want to actually do something that'll irritate or stress her out, but it needs to be something that'll catch her attention. so with these you manage to come up with something!

quietly sauntering up to her, you gently poke her one the back to get her to look at you, something that she does with a sigh wondering what you were up to this time

"what is i-" but before she can talk she's cut off by a pair of lips on her cheek, stunning her into silence

"pretty sure jumin hasn't mentioned a deadline, so how about you put that off for later and hang out with me for now?"

jaehee, having nothing to say just nods and closes her laptop after saving her work. you think you've broken her, until she too gives you a kiss on the cheek with red tinting her own

he's extremely busy, much like jaehee! he's always got work on his shoulders with not a lot of time for rest unfortunately :(

just recently he got some work that's highly important and required his attention, so he's been working on it for some time now

it's been several days since he's started on this task and unfortunately, he is still quite far from done. he promised you and elizabeth the iii some time today but that doesn't seem to be the case

jumin hasn't had something to eat and drink in a while so you ask some of his maids to let you being him some snacks and a drink

with both snacks and drinks on a tray you knock on the door of his office before entering when you hear a "come in" from him. taking a peek inside you see jumin on his desk, fingers tapping away on his laptop as he proceeds to type, ignoring the fact that you're about to enter the room

placing the tray on his table, you take a look at his focused face, before sighing realizing that he is still choosing to ignore your presence in the room

sauntering up behind him and taking a glance at his monitor, you see that he's made some fairly good progress over the past few days. and considering how hard he's been working, a moment of rest wouldn't be too bad for him now, would it?

"hey jumin, don't you think you should take a break from that first? i mean, you've been working hard for the past few days. a well deserved break wouldn't be so bad"

he doesn't say anything. you wonder if he's purposefully ignoring you or if he's just way too immersed in his work

thinking the latter, you press a kiss to his cheek, making him fully face you now. so that's how you get his attention

although seeing him be happy and have fun is good for you, it would've been nice if he at least acknowledged your presence right :(? does he even know that you're here?

"yoosung? i'm home!" you call out from behind him but he seems to still be oblivious to you being there

with a huff you sit on the bed, waiting for him to at least greet you with a hi or maybe a welcome home but there you are minutes later, no "welcome home" or "hello" having been said by him

finally deciding you've had enough, you decide to let him know of you being here but-- are you really just going to let such a perfect opportunity to mess with him get past you?

with a snicker and a devious grin on your face, you creep up behind him seeing that he's in the middle of another fight it seems and laugh as you proceed with your next actions

you pull off his headphones catching him off guard and proceed to give him a kiss on the cheek

"y/n?! y-you were home al-already?!" he shrieks, completely abandoning his game as he tries to cover up the fact that he's absolutely flustered. you can hear the confused sounds of his guildmates coming from his headphones, most likely having heard his shriek and wondering why his character isn't moving

"well, you certainly would have known if you looked up from the monitor from time to time" you say, but he's not even paying attention at this point, still 100% flustered from what just happened, he's so red you wonder if you've broken him

seems like this could be a new way to distract yoosung from lolol and to get him to stop playing for a few minutes! it's highly effective and the outcome is quite an adorable one too~

I stretched my arms in front of me letting a small yawn leave my mouth. I glanced over towards Jae-hee her eyes basically glued onto the tv. The reflection giving a slight glimmer to her usual brown shadowy eyes. I felt odd. I couldn’t figure out the perfect word for describing how I felt. How my heart seem to stretch and turn in painful ways as if it was trying to leap out of my throat. Zens singing ran through the speakers of my television and off the white walls of my room. His voice seem almost like an angels voice to Jae-hee. Perhaps the angel told her Jumin would no longer overwork her,giving her vacations. What else could have her smiling like she had discovered the worlds treasure. Slowly Zens voice faded as blackness swept across the screen.

“Woah,” Jae-hee voice came out heavy and breathy. “I almost forgot how beautiful his voice truly is. My imagination could never quite match the impressing vocal range he was able to reach. I won’t even go into too much detail about how pretty he was. How the lights basically shined off his skin like porcelain,quite,” Jae-hee paused a small smile on her lip. “Quite breath taking honestly,” She turned her head to look at me.

“Yea,” I couldn’t control how low I spoke. It honestly wasn’t on purpose. I felt horrible, my heart thumbing against my rib cage filled with guilt. I didn’t want her to stop loving Zen acting or even his looks. Cause it would be unfair and maybe a tad controlling. I would be lying though if I didn’t say part of me, an extremely small part of me disliked Zen. Of course Jae-hee adored his looks,everyone did. Which had me feeling…less then. I can’t be up to Zen standards. My hair doesn’t shine like silver pearls in any sort of light. My eyes aren’t the natural color of Argyle Everglow diamonds. My skin isn’t spotless at every little inch. My face doesn’t glow like glitter. My voice doesn’t sound like a one-man symphony. No matter how hard I could try. I almost didn’t notice the dent in Jae-hee forehead as he eyebrows furrowed.

“Are you okay,” Jae-hees voice came out slowly as if she was speaking to a scared kitten. I opened my mouth to speak only close it immediately. Unintentionally letting a huffing sound come from my nose.

“Yea,” I felt my face contort creating multiple micro expressions in less then a second. “Just…tired” I forced a smile. The tv began to unfade, revealing someone on a stage. “Oh-" I pointed towards the tv. “Act two is starting,” I repositioned my body to fully face the tv. My back was straight,barley touching the back of the couch. My arms starched so my hands can rest,clutching my kneecaps. I didn’t even see Jae-hee reach for the remote and turn the tv off. “What-why’d you do that” I turned my head. “We can’t rewind this. It’s the live show,”

“That’s okay,” Jae-hee smile was genuine. “I’m worried about you,” she scouted closer until our shoulders were touching. Her slender hands grabbed the side of my cheek. “Are you sick,” her opposite hand laid against my forehead. Her eyes twitching around my face, examining me.

“But-but” I stumbled on my words. My eyes glance at the tv then back at Jae-hee repeatedly. “We don’t know when we will be able to watch it. I know you’d be devastated if you missed it,” Jae-hee shook her head at my words.

“I’d be more then devastated if something was wrong with you and I ignored you,” regrettably, I could feel the brim of my eyes trickle with tears.

“Oh my god,” Jae-hee voice raised. “What happened, you didn’t get hurt without be noticing did you,” One of her hands left my face. The other one was used to turn my chin around.

“Sorry jae,” I grabbed her hand off my cheek. “I’m not hurt,” I wrapped my hands around hers. Holding her hand like a lifeline. “God,” I chuckled whipping a stray tear. “This is embarrassing,” I tried to joke. Jae-hee wondering,worried eyes seem to pry my heart open to force me to speak. “I’m sorry it’s just,” I looked down at my hands that were still cupping hers. “Sometimes I just-kinda feel” the words felt harder to say then they should’ve been. I watched my thumb crease her hand. “I feel like I’m not enough sometimes,” Finally I was able to look at her again “I’m not as pretty and talented as Zen- and-and Im not trying to-like” My hands squeezed over hers. Her free hand grabbing one of my hands. I was honestly lucky to have someone so patient as my girlfriend.

“I’m sorry I made you feel that way,” She spoke softly.

“No you didn’t make me-" Jae-hee cut me off.

“I did and I didn’t realize that. I made you feel like the person I loved was Zen or someone similar to Zen. But I’m not dating someone who looks or acts like him. If given the chance I wouldn’t date him” Her free hand went to my cheek. “He is beautiful but he’s not you. He doesn’t make my heart flutter just from a small glance like you,” Her thumb moved across my cheek. “He doesn’t make me smile and laugh like you. And yes he is beautiful but compared to you, you’re a goddess,” Jae-hee smile seem to grow,showing her teeth. “I could go on and on all night,” Her hands traveled down my cheek until it stopped on my nape. Her thin fingers resting on the back of my neck. “But honestly I don’t think words can explain how much I love you and how much you mean to me,” Jae-hee short hair fell,covering her eyes. She spoke to me as if she was reading a poem. Written by John Keats himself even beyond his grave. With a smile I leaned closer to Jae-hee, unable to express in words how she made me feel.

“Now I feel kinda silly,” I said in a low tone.

“It’s okay, we all have our moments,” Using her hand on the back of my neck she pulled me in closer until our lips were inches apart. “I love you no matter what,”

“I love you too Jae-hee” I filled the gap between us connecting our lips.
