Glücklicherweise gibt es das geheime Department of Truth, welches die durch Willenskraft entstandenen alternativen Wirklichkeiten zurückschlägt. Genau diese Regierungseinrichtung rekrutiert Cole. Doch bald erscheint ihm nicht mehr sicher, ob er auf der richtigen Seite steht... 📍 Nach " Das Haus am See" hatte ich mich sehr auf Department of Truth gefreut und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Auch hier glänzt James Tynion mit einer originellen Idee, die im "postfaktischen Zeitalter" darüber hinaus aktuell ist wie nie. Der Gruselfaktor ergibt sich als Kombination aus dem Ambiente und den Verschwörungstheorien, die für sich genommen bereits schaurig genug sind. Diese sind aus der realen Welt entlehnt, sodass man viele Anspielungen finden wird. Cole Turner ist wie der Leser selbst häufig überrumpelt und es entstehen mehr Fragen, als beantwortet werden. Aber so soll der erste Band einer Reihe ja auch sein. Die Zeichnungen sind furchtbar im besten Sinne - Skurril und surreal, wie das uneheliche Kind von Hieronymus Bosch und "Arkham Asylum". Batman e o prefeito Nakano acabam por unir forças contra criaturas que assolam a cidade como visto na edição anterior, ainda tendo que lidar com o Pacificador 01 . .
