Just imagine Kipperlilly rolling up to the new guidance counsellors office after the pervious one got killed to bring back some kids to life. And she sits there complaining about not having a tragic backstory since every rouge needs a tragic backstory, and that it’s so unfair that Riz has one. He’s got a dead dad, a mom who over works, a missing baby sitter, and he’s poor. And she’s got a pretty much perfect white picket fence life. And all the while the werewolf guidance counsellor who stays as half wolf as a from of a political statement, who less than a few weeks ago was a drug dealer and super down on his luck and life was just over all bad for him has to be like “hmm yea unfair… how about your adventuring skills?”

Sandra Lynn is such a great character. She’s fucked up from her past, she’s made a lot of bad choices and kept secrets that hurt people, she’s divorced, she cheated on her partners, she’s repeated destructive behaviour stemming from low self-esteem/self-image issues but she keeps fucking trying and building healthier relationships with her partner and her daughter and she’s brought two other girls who have had traumatic pasts into her home with Jawbone and tried her best to be there, look out for and help them. And that’s so important. She can’t undo what she’s done as a young woman but she can protect these girls, give them a home and help them make better choices. It’s not easy. Fig and Kristen push back and test boundaries but since reconciling with Fig in freshman year, Sandra Lynn hasn’t stopped.

I want to put all the people Sandra Lynn has slept with in one room to see what happens, specifically to see who would punch Bobby first

I feel like this last episode really has been such a big reminder that Jawbone is not in any way trained to be a guidance counselor. Is he amazing at his job yes he’s great he’s helped so many kids but he is not legally qualified, plus there’s the added factor of him only having the job because of a party of students who are currently at the school and his adoptive daughter stepdaughter and the kid whose been living with him for months all go there so he can’t be truly impartial in matters concerning them like he’s supposed to. Do I think he shouldn’t have the job no because he’s amazing at it otherwise but I do think that there should be a second counselor with no connections to any of the students

obviously this is a fictional world and elmville has people die all the time. I still think it’s funny how jawbone is a mandated reporter and didn’t have to report… a students desire to kill her classmates?? what is in that handbook?? i’m just so curious what he HAS to report

Brennans face when every single person has to chip in for Riz to get above a 30 on an investigation into Kipperlilly’s file
help from adaine, guidance from kristen, bardic from fig, flash of genius from gorgug, +6 points total from a 26 to a 32

Fucking love how Brennan is like:
here are the parents figures, some of them are straight evil, some of them are bad, some of them are good but none of them is fucking perfect

Riz’s first game on the Owlbears is a hot, sweltering day, everyone in the stands sweating as they cheer and jibe at the teams. Kristen Applebees with pale skin, red hair, and a multitude of freckles is no exception. Jawbone had shoved a sunhat on her before she left and Adaine and her traded sunscreen back and forth and she stayed hydrated she did, she really really did.
But three days later and in the middle of a flare. A flare that started the morning after the game.
-
Or: Kristen has a flare up. It ends with her in the hospital.

So like... there should be a second guidance counselor/therapist at aguefort right? Cause like Jawbone shouldn't be therapist for the bad kids because that is unethical (dual relationships. Impossible to be unbiased etc.). He also probably shouldn't be the therapist for kids who have a problem with the bad kids as that runs into the same problem of not being able to act as a neutral party due to your personal connections. He isn't helping kipperlily to the best of his ability because he is trying not to be to favorable to the bad kids but in actuality by not showing Any favor to the bad kids it's perpetuating kipperlilys unhealthy thinking and rage issues.

How long do you think it took for Sandra Lynn to tell Jawbone that Bobby Dawn was the one who ruined her life. How many times did he complain until she broke down crying because she thought she had escaped him. But she hasn't. He had wormed his way back into her life once more, and was trying to do to her daughters what he did to her.
