Our new print imagines if Hemingway, Gertrude Stein and F. Scott Fitzgerald had formed a jazz trio - oh what a mournfully joyful noise they would have made *hic*! one thing about Frank Sinatra songs you must know is that if he sang it Billie Holiday also probably sang it first and also better.

love it when I'm listening to jazz and the band decides to just kinda abandon the song and make violent noises for a bit. and then they flawlessly return to the hook at the same time. gives me life

If anyone in particular had anything to say on a post we reblog, we might tag it as #[name]posting. Also you will see words in their text colour and quirk (if they have one).
We may come back and edit in links to posts with more details. Or not.
We are almost all trans, but it will be only mentioned below if that has caused a name change from our canon counterpart.
Just call us AirPrime if you want to talk to us/the account in general.

The Transgender 30's Jazz fandom's gonna love this one!
To the tune of Louis Jordan's "You Died Your Hair Chartreuse:"
Trans Rights (Trans Rights)!
Trans Rights (Trans Rights)!
Though you pick a lot of fights
You picked the most
with that Reddit post
where you only said Trans Rights

Being in music school is so dumb. I see people in STEM doing labs and shit and meanwhile my homework tonight is to just listen to jazz radio and write down the music I liked.
Anyways the station I was listening to played a Nina Simone song and it reminded me that Sinnerman existed. If you haven’t listened to that song you probably should ! There’s not really words for the way it makes me feel.

I like Japanese jazz. The jazz scene in Japan is great: CASIOPEA, SEATBELTS, Hiromi Uehara, Akira Ishikawa, so many more, all make excellent jazz music that's a delight to listen to. When I hear the term "Japanese jazz," I compartmentalize it as "probably good jazz."
However,
I have stumbled into Take Five by Minoru Muraoka.
And it has replaced that compartmentalization.
This is Japanese jazz.

Kinda pissed I can't listen to Bitches Brew without thinking about the Orphan of Kos, tbh. Really wish I first listened to that album in literally any other context than "five days in to a whole week of beating my head against a boss fight" because its quite nice really but everytime I put it on I just think of that wrinkled BITCH
