Ot7 x Reader

Summary: How they would be with their crush or S/o before enlisting and how they keep in touch.

A/N: Thanks to the lovely anons who requested this! I debated on whether or not I would post something about this, but since several of you asked, I decided I would. I did decid to make this more fluffy/crackish tho, cause I don’t want y’all getting too sad.(also, I struggled with this one a bit, so I’m sorry if it’s shit)

Jin:

I think back a lot on how he said before that he’s allergic to seriousness, so other than when he first tells you about going, I think he tries to keep things really light and upbeat.

Probably spends the whole week before leaving asking you to shave his head. “I’m not doing that!” “Why not? It’ll be a bonding experience!”

Leaves several little notes/letters for you(similar to his messages for Army) saying how much he loves and can’t wait to see you again. Plus, you’ve seen how frequently he posts on weverse, so you know he’s texting/calling you all the time.

Yoongi:

Since he’s in public service and getting to stay close to home(I think?), he really tries to avoid making a big deal out of it. Like, it’s obviously still a major shift in his life, but being able to still see/talk to you regularly would make it a lot easier.

If you live abroad tho, he would take it a bit more seriously, making sure the two of you talk as regularly as possible.(since they’re not allowed to travel abroad during service)

Literally keeps a list of things he wants to tell you/talk about whenever y’all call/video chat so he won’t forget anything.

Hobi:

He makes a point to spend as much time with you as possible before he leaves, making little bucket lists of things for the two of you to do together before and after enlistment.

Lowkey keeps flexing in his uniform(you’ve seen his insta, you know it’s true) “I look kinda good tho, right Babe? Babe?” *😑agrees but won’t admit it*

He misses you so much, and he calls/checks in with you every chance he gets(honestly, y’all talk more than me and my besties, lol)

Namjoon:

He’s rather solemn and serious about the whole thing, though he tries not to talk about it too much, trying to focus more on enjoying your time together rather than dwelling on what’s to come.

Y’all probably spent the whole night before he left awake and talking about anything and everything, not wanting to lose any time together on sleep.

Tries to call/message you as often as possible, getting over-excited to catch up on what’s going on in your life and share what he’s doing.

Jimin:

He spends the last couple days before leaving practically fused to your side, trying to soak up as much time with you as possible. He doesn’t say anything, but you can tell he’s anxious abt all of it.

Another that would probably leave you one, or more likely multiple notes/letters for after he leaves for you to read whenever you’re feeling down(totally didn’t read them all in the first week, wym?).

He messages/calls you every chance he gets(probs featuring an appearance from Jk, if it’s true abt them getting to stick together)

Taehyung:

He takes a semi-unserious approach to the whole thing. Like, he’s very sincere and open when you have the initial discussion about him leaving, but after that he’s just making little cracks about it here and there.

“You know, it’s kinda like the plot of a drama.” “It’s really not.”

He’s so dramatic abt missing you, calling you constantly. Another who would likely leave you little notes for when you’re feeling low, though his include random suggestions like eating at certain restaurants y’all like or watching your fav movies/shows.

Jungkook:

As we’ve seen with his posts from the past couple weeks, I think he would be somewhat somber when he first talks to you about everything and maybe again right before he leaves, but the rest of the time he’d try to keep things light and unserious.

(you know he’s constantly trying to get you to rub his head after he gets it shaved🙄)

Obviously, he misses you like crazy, but he tries not to let on too much at first when y’all talk, but it starts to show when he admits you’re always the first person he calls or texts.

It's been over a week

And I'm still trying to digest and come to terms with it.

I know I said that I take comfort in them being together, and I got to say, that is a big big help in dealing with their departure, and yet, can't help but be sad and worry like a mom that just sent her kids off to the army.

Watching JM's live with JK's that followed (a few hours later and after their family dinner) was heart wrenching. JM struggling with his shaved hair was heartbreaking.

This clearly was not easy for them.

JM the next day (in the BTB).

I can't help but wonder, after the initial annoyance of getting a minute or a little more from the two's enlistment day, if the whole thing was just too emotional and more than what they themselves wanted to share publicly.

Again, seeing how JM is struggling, and JK knowing and comforting him. That look on JM's face when JK does that. Ugh, how I wish they didn't have to go through this. But they did. They are. And now it's time to come to terms with it.

I guess having lived it, done the army thing, gone through basic training and military service I have a little more insight as to what they will be going through, and that also gives me some comfort, because yes, it's going to be hard, both the physical and mental aspects of it. The structure, the loss of individuality, the harsh physical and mental training. But, a. they are 2 of the most driven people I have seen, a work ethic and a need to excel, and they will attack this (so to speak) no differently; b. they have been through so much getting to where they have gotten. Yes, the structure is a little different, but they are no strangers to being in a structured environment, told what to do, when to do it, how to do it. Basically, they are used to doing what they are told. Strenuous physical activity is no stranger to them as well. Experiencing struggles teaches you that you can prevail. Teaches you that you are strong enough to get through it. Teaches you that there is a light at the end of that tunnel. And knowing that, at times of hardship, can mean everything to the person going through that.

Their age, being mostly older than others enlisting (most do so at 18-21) has it's advantages and disadvantages. Advantages being having that insight and life experience that they have, especially starting their careers at such a young age. Disadvantage being that at this age they are all grown up, as in mostly know who they are, what they want to do with their life. Having to leave all of that at the door is not easy and takes adjusting to. But they are resilient. And their life experience and struggles they went through over the years will, as mentioned, definitley help them get through this as well.

For my sanity and mental well being I'm going to ignore the geo-political fuckery going on right now. Does willing things not to happen make them not happen? I'm going to go with yes on this. Don't you dare contradict me here. Let me live in my fantasy world at least on this one.

So yeah, it definitely won't be easy. Having each other's back there will definitley help, although having to keep their hands off each other in public will definitley be a challenge they will have to deal with. I digress. They will be ok. They have each other. They will get through this, and who knows, perhaps at some point (probably not basic training, cause that sucks) they might even enjoy their service (enjoy what they will be doing, feel satisfaction in their contribution to their country, who knows...).

And yet, knowing all of this, I'm still sad.

Because I already miss the shit out of them.

And it's kind of funny, because I know there is plenty of content coming up, including actual Jikook content, like just the two of them without the group as a buffer content, and that is definitely something to look forward to. And it's not like we were seeing them on a daily or even weekly basis before they enlisted (there were periods of time we were parched with them not to be seen or heard from for ages).

But this feels different. I guess knowing that even if they wanted to reach out, at the moment, they can't. Knowing that there isn't a chance of a JK restaurant visit popping up, or a surprise live makes it all so very real.

I'm not going to do the day counting. For me, that makes dealing with it harder. Maybe when we are down to two digits, definitely not before. I think I will just sit back, enjoy the new content they share with us, go through old content (there is so much out there, enough to definitely get me through the next 18 months, sob sob).

As for myself, well I'm not going anywhere.

Yes, I have something going on right now and am posting less often, but I'm still here, still around and will be posting and answering your messages.

We will all get through this together.

there’s so much misinfo going round atm, see lots of people saying that after jk enlists with jm and does the boot camp he can apply for some special ???something and will leave separately where he is stationed or that just because jk / jm are enlisting on same day, they only will do basic training together then go to separate places ? and that they only chose the enlisting together option because it meant they could make sure they were out in time for june ?

ik it’s a bit hard to follow maybe with different sources and not real confirmation but do you know if any of it is true? my understanding was that they did the “enlisting together” scheme thing, (ie. it’s a purposeful application, they knew they were choosing this way) which meant they’ll at least be in same living quarters etc the whole time until they’re out ?

Hi anon. 😳 I am terrible when it comes to the serious stuff and have the attention span of a toddler when such topics arise. My mind registers them as boring and so I don't retain the in4. But my friends delved deep into this so I will gather as much as I can and do my best to explain the sitch

Let me start by correcting the biggest misinformation of them all. Thanks to fucking Mina with her fake subs and reaching conclusions, the vermin are confusing "Special Task Force" with "Special Forces"

JK said he wanted to join special forces. Well and good

But thats not what V is doing. V applied for Special Task Force which, while not easy (he said in the live its why he enlisted there, to challenge himself) its nothing compared to special forces. Special forces is HARD CORE. Its no joke. It's for those who actually want to go to war and proper fight for their country. Not for those fulfilling a mandatory duty... One they wouldn't do if they had the choice. Special forces, those people actually wanna be there. And if u know JK then u shouldn't be surprised that he would say something like this. Of course our dare devil bunny would enjoy joining something as risky as special forces.

But guess what? No one stopped him. He still could have gone there if he really wanted to. Just like in Winter package. No one told him to give up zip lining for beer tasting. He did that off his own volition since Jimin was going beer tasting. JK's happiness is where Jimin is. Period. (Suga's presence played a big part but we don't talk about Yoonmin)

(Edit: the whole thing takes almost 8 years to complete which again, is not something JK would actually do if he wanted to still stay a member of BTS. And of course satellite Jeon would again, never do it)

Jikook wanted to use the buddy system and they applied where Jin is on purpose because since the location is so risky, (front lines) not alot of people apply to serve there. So the chances of them being accepted were pretty high. I already talked a bit about that here.

Coldest and most dangerous. But before we panic, Jikook love snow so... thats good. But also;

2 things to note before we continue; 1) Tattoos are a none factor on why Jikook applied together or why JK couldn't be with V. They had 0 to do with that. And 2) All members and where they ended up it was their decision

They had to pass 3 rounds. Applying wasn't all. They had rounds to pass before getting accepted. So as we can see this was a whole ass process. They really worked hard on this to make it happen.

The buddy system is there to help friends cope with this difficult mandatory thing that the government insists on doing to their young men. It's there to help them cope in any way possible. I imagine mostly mentally. So why would they train them together then separate them? ❓❓❓

It is said that you should make sure the person you apply with, is a person u get along with super well because for the next 18 months you will be together every moment of everyday. It's krazy to imagine that JK wouldn't rather do this with his actual boyfriend V, instead. Krazy. 🤯

Anygays, no need to worry my good people, Jimin and JK have got each other's back. All that's left is to wait for them and pray for them. May they always hold hands 🤭

Whenever i see things like this, i am reminded why i decided to leave shipping spaces. Jk is a sorry excuse for a boyfriend because he left a concert without telling Jimin he was leaving yet everyone and their mama wants Jungkook to do for other people the things he has done for Jimin for years. Everyone wants a GCF, everyone wants Jungkook taking their someone else to Japan, everyone wants Jungkook to make big pancakes for them because they have penalties. Everyone wants Jungkook to go over to someone else’s house and cook for them everyone was praying on bended knee that Jk did for others what he did for Jimin during FACE era. It’s funny because deep down, everyone sees and knows that Jungkook doesn’t make the same effort for others as he makes for Jimin and that is why for years, we have heard endlessly how everything Jungkook does for Jimin is Fanservice and him not doing all those things for others is because their relationship is not for the camera.

We should accept that two people who had the chance to finally completely escape from each other for 18 months since they don’t like each other, instead choose to enlist together where they would have to see each other’s faces every single day for 18months? What does leaving a damn concert without someone else knowing have to do with how Jungkook and Jimin feel about each other? They were just leaving a concert back to their homes, it’s not like they were traveling never to see each other again and since some of you like to analyze things so damn much, i will like for you to analyze for me why on god’s green earth Jungkook will hate Jimin so much yet on their last OT4 Live that boy couldn’t keep his hands to himself? It’s always the same damn thing with little minded people. In 2021 at Harry Styles concert, we had people yapping about how Jungkook didn’t like Jimin because he spent the whole time at the concert being glued to Taehyung but what did we find out later? Wasn’t that the same period when we found out that Jungkook and Jimin were basically spending their entire days together? Going and coming back from concerts together, eating together, working out everyday together and to add to that, Jk was in Jimin’s room so much that even Tae thought Jimin’s room was Jk’s. Wasn’t that the same time we found out that Jk would go knock on Jimin’s door at 1am, stay there for about 4 hours at a time and then rinse and repeat? If we are to judge how much people like each other by how glued they are at certain points then why on earth was Jk singing and swaying with another member at a concert yet he wasn’t going to spend all his downtime in that member’s hotel room? He hated Jimin so much that he decided to go spend all or most of his time alone in the room of the member he hates so much?

Same damn thing happened at Hobi’s album release party in 2022. Before we got the Bangtan bomb, everyone was yapping about how Jk and Jimin were never seen together at the party and that meant they hated each other only for us to see them in the bangtan bomb “hiding�� in a dark corner with hands touching and clearly separating from each other when they noticed they cameras.

Should i also bring back their rookie days when everyone was so damn sure Jk hated Jimin’s guts because he always “pushed” him infront of the camera or ranked him last in looks only for us to find out from many sources that Jk infact would pile clothes on his bed and go sleep in Jimin’s bed and he himself later mentioned that Jimin is the member he spends most of his nights with. Jk hated Jimin so much that he chose to spend his only resting time hanging out with Jimin. I’m sure he used to strangle Jimin all those nights they were together alone.

Tae and Jk are the bestest of besties coming and leaving together to and from Yoongi’s concert yet that didn’t stop Tae from leaving Jk alone at a ski resort and journeying back home with his friends while Jk stayed there all alone. Jk and Tae are clearly besties by that didn’t stop Jk from not saying a single thing during Layover while he couldn’t shut up during FACE and mind you, he hates Jimin. Do u see how stupid you sound anon? So according to your logic, Jk and Tae must hate each other too because imagine leaving your bestie all alone at a ski resort and choosing to go back home with friends or imagine being silent during your bestie’s album release and not saying or doing a damn thing in support of it even though you were literally keeping up with everything some other member put out.

Some of you continue to prove everyday how small your minds are. With the wake of every new content, we have people loosing faith in a ship or believing more in it. Tomorrow we will get some other form of content and Jungkook will go back to being the greenest flag, and then the next moment he is back to being an ass. It is kinda like these boys aren’t human being with layers and complicated feelings. It is like relationships in this life are supposed to be perfect on camera else people are jerks. JK and JM decision to enlist together.

⁠JK and JM felt it was in their best interest to serve together. This speaks to the bond they have, whatever their relationship is or is not. They both knew that tattoos could limit life choices for them, yet they still chose to ink themselves. During the live, it was Jimin who spoke about wanting to join the Special Forces. JK seemed to mumble something too. The unit they were speaking of is the ROK Special Forces unit that reports directly to the President similar to the US Army Green Berets or Navy Seals. Both JM and JK have the physical abilities, martial arts skills, MMA skills, etc to do this level of training. Tattoos ARE ALLOWED in this unit. The issue is it requires a 4 year commitment and serving potentially around the world. This unit is for a career soldier. The Unit V is enlisting with is Special Operations/Military Police. This unit only requires an 18 month commitment and yes, does not allow visible tattoos. Remember all members have tattoos.

Jimin and JK had to apply months ago for this companion program. It was a three stage process that took several months for approval. They most likely knew for years they were going to enlist together. Jungkook got his first tattoo in Sept 2019. All members had planned to enlist in the military in 2020, before COVID killed those plans. JK had to know when he got his very visible tattoo what the limitations were regarding the military, yet he chose to move forward. Even back then, he could not serve for 4 years. He and JM had most likely decided back then they were going to do the companion program. In 2019/2020, they were perceived to be much closer back during that time, than they are in 2022/2023. Yet, we now know how close they really were/are this year, in spite of limited public outings.

They both had the opportunity to apply to a multitude of units that would accept their tattoos, individually. However, they were limited in the units that accept the companion program. This should tell the naysayers that Jimin and Jungkook have a tight bond. They gave up other units that would have been a lot more comfortable and safer (locating land mines) if they had enlisted separately. We may never know the true reason for the joint enlistment, but obviously they are close friends who love and depend on each other. This has nothing to do with shipping, but simply the bond between them. They are looking out for each other verses meeting individual goals or challenges.

I just know when Jennie hit send on those paris pictures, she and Tae were laughing like evil maniacs. Do tkk really think because they are a loud group and trend Tk just cause they breath next to each other, they will somehow convince people Taennie never happened and Tk is real? The entire world watched Tae & Jennie's dating life get exposed little by little, by a hacker, until they took control of their situation and went public in Paris on their own terms. The whole world is laughing at that cult. So why are Jkks even entertaining Tkk at this point? Its pointless. They are always gonna claim atomix is a private date, even with proof from Atomix it was a OT7 dinner. They will always crop members or their friends to push their ship. Its a TK private date, but all members are there. Its a TK bowling date, but Wooga is there. Its a TK skiing date, but Wooga is there. Its a TK concert date, but Nicole is there with JK for some reason and Jennie off to the side and a wooga too that Tae leaves with. Its a TK vegas date, but Hobi is there. Its a TK house date with an impromptu live, but Hobi is there. Its a TK online gaming date, but Wooga is there and Tae living with one of his Wooga members. It's a TK LA beach & dinner date, but Jimin is right there and seems RM was at that dinner, since he posted a picture. Its a TK hotel date, but other people are there. It's a TK premiere date, but other people are there. Full blown stupidity. My ship is a couple, but they don't spend couple days together, confirmed, but they do spend couple days with others, confirmed. They spend time together, but on couple days, is where they draw the line and don't? Its Tae telling us he was alone and slept through Valentines and a couple weeks later its Jk out on White Day with Jimin for me. Two couple days back to back and NOTHING from your ship. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.

Also HELLO? Tae had another man living in his apartment. Someone he also is extremely clingy to and all over when he's around him. And MF's act like JK is jealous over Tae. Bitch please. JK don't give a fuck. Tae out here with a girlfriend and another man living at his house and MF's think JK will just be okay with all this? I'm fucking wheezing. The man was doing cartwheels on live singing Jimin songs, the day the Taennie news broke. He is the most unbothered person when it comes to Taennie. So why not leave him out of Tae's business?

Also, Its Jikook taking their first trip alone and together, but that isn't a private trip. It's Jikook together alone on Silver Day in NY, but that's not a date and Jikook in Connecticut, but that's not a private trip. It's Jikook taking a private trip to Japan before enlisting, but that's not a couple trip. It Jikook watching The Avengers with no other members, but that isn't a date. Its Jikook ice skating alone, but that isn't a date. Its Jikook out shopping alone, but that isn't a shopping date. It's Jikook together on White Day eating, but that don't count. Its Jikook together during Chuseok, but again, it doesn't mean anything. Its Jikook together on JK's bday alone (bonus for Tae asking Jimin to come sleep with him, instead of the birthday boy, WHOMP WHOMP) but that also doesn't count. Its Jikook ALONE drinking, bridal twirling and hickey sucking, but that also doesn't count. It's Jikook enlisting ALONE and together. Like get the fuck out of here, your ship will never be in Jikook's league. No one is playing your silly fucking games anymore. You ship isn't real and you can't even argue it without looking like you need a straight jacket at this point. Tae put the final nail in the coffin and Jennie buried y'all, while Jikook walking together over your graves for the next 18 months. Its over and done. Move on. You got 18 months to get your life together.

Jikookery in the new Beyond the Story Doc

Don’t expect think pieces/summary posts from me on a regular basis because it’s only when I feel like I have something unique to say. I definitely agree with the majority of the opinions that I’ve read on the doc being sloppy timeline wise and not showing us much else new. This was in my drafts and I forgot about it, so I’m posting it.

But these last couple episodes were gems. And posed something interesting. I had seen the Jikook moments sprinkled on Twitter, but I had to wait to watch the episodes until I got off of work. In the context of the episodes, I think they mean sooo much more than how they can be perceived alone as snippets. Every other member besides Jin (who was with a non idol or celebrity friend group which warmed my heart so much honestly) was featured alone except Jikook. And I doubt all of them are truly alone as in they don’t have a significant other that they could have been seen relaxing with. And I think the answer is quite simple: because Jikook are always together and they have the power of plausible deniability because they are bandmates right?? That means they could never be together according to the court of homophobic public opinion and probably statistical data right??? I know everyone is freaking out about the date on the refrigerator when hunky bf JK cooks dinner at Mimi’s place but I think it’s actually very interesting that they chose that specific date to film them together. And it was the day before White Day too when they were also seen together. *sigh*

Maybe they thought it would be less weird for Jikook to be seen decompressing and hanging out right after a concert versus bringing a film crew in during their actual personal time that would expose them seeing each other outside of “work”. Jikook were very private too leading up to their companion enlistment. As much as JK went live even, we never saw the two of them together except for the minute where JK shows up on Jimin’s Face Documentary which was live, so I lied. I have no doubt that they saw each other all the time even if we didn’t see evidence of it. But that’s the point. They probably wanted to continue having their privacy. We don’t know what the date was when Jin with his friends but I would guess it probably wasn’t the day immediately after their last big concert in Korea. The other members I can’t say for sure but someone could probably analyze their hair or something and determine it was a later date. The point is that Jimin and Jungkook still wanted to be filmed hanging out together for the doc when none of the other members chose to film together. To me, that really speaks volumes to their bond and closeness.

I'll give jikook antis this - we saw less of them together in public in 2023. This isn't completely unexpected considering how Jimin was probably making pjm2 and also working on the final touches of face and it's promo and JK being totally slammed with working and promoting golden and his singles in the latter half of the year. Plus it does seem like their schedules did not align at all.

But everytime we did see them, they seemed way softer with each other than usual don't you think? The Weverse interactions - cute, the flirting during JK's morning bed live - oh my god, JK jumping on chat during Jimin's live after his performance and JK doing his extended Jimin lives - adorable and don't get me started on him teasing SMF Pt 2 and Letter and reacting to Angel and Vibe over multiple lives and talking about him and Jimin's rainy day fight. Him calling Jimin's name became a trending Tiktok sound 😭

Apart from all that they were also super cuddly. Their cute hug while sending off Hobi, Jimin hugging JK in the airport and JK putting his head on Jimin's shoulder, JK being extra touchy with Jimin during their final wlive before enlisting, coming in to see Jimin during his documentary live before leaving for the day - he didn't even mean to join, he just wanted to see Jimin before he left.

This is them being distant? This is them broken up? I'll say this, if me and my ex were working in the same company, I'd probably veto a project where we have to travel to different countries together for extended periods of time and waste my valuable free time before enlistment. Also wouldn't enlist with my ex. Or my work colleague that I'm not very close with.

This is the state of them when people think they're not close! Even when they're not jikooking at normal levels of jikooking, they're still doing all this 😭

231125 Jikook Trip to Japan

The airport photos, SO CUTE.

Although the absolutely problematic bullshit that's the people crowding them that close?? The fuck?? That's a separate conversation though.

Also JK filming with the GoPro! Hopefully that means we see some footage from this trip eventually! I won't be mad either way though. I have no idea what to expect from this travel show they've teased us with and if this Japan trip will be part of it or not. I'm excited either way!

The most precious as fuck airport photo sequence/video had to be JK snuggling into Jimin on the walkway and being the most precious people finding peace and comfort in each other ever. I MELTED

Jimin posting photos JK took for him to Instagram right after Golden live stream replay ended. I know that was on purpose, he was for sure being considerate of that! Lol but he looks so cute and so happy!! And the restaurant staff confirming that Jikook had dinner there. Hopefully they had a great time too!

And this ARMY posted a question/theory about them revisiting GCFT places they went, which would be devastating as their trip before enlistment lol guess we will see if they did if we ever see more footage of this trip!

I love them so much!! Hope they had the most beautiful time in Japan together!

JK loves teasing Jimin

JK cut him off in his prime and then fell about laughing. Jimin as usual was indulgent. This whole live, man, there's a definite change of mood, JK being particularly demonstrative and attentive today. Jimin looks like he still has a lot to do before enlistment and it's playing on his mind. His cold must have set him back quite a lot.

Jikook in Japan November 2023

What we have so far.

First thing first, I want to thank all of you for your good wishes in the comments to my last post. I did miss you guys, and I'm hopefully on the mend, if not fully there yet.

So, JM and JK in Japan. Do we all see just how big that is? We know just how important their trip was in 2018, they told us all about it ever since. And now we have them travelling to Japan again, one last trip before enlistment. Together. They spend time in Tokyo (we know cause they flew into Tokyo - great detective work going on here - and the pics that JM posted on his IG - and I'll get to that soon too). But they are also travelled to Sapporo, where they are right now. Sapporo, where this happened back in 2016, just to remind you all.

Anyways, let's go back a sec to their departure. Cause why not, really?

As they walked into the terminal JM signalling JK to come in closer to him.

And after going through the departure doors while waiting for their security check.

Same same...

JM came to us last night posting on IG with two "my boyfriend too my photo" pics.

Are they doing a walk down memory lane? Is JM sending us down memory lane? I mean, let's get real here. They know. They see it all. They knew about the threats and hate preceding their trip, they know about Jikookers talking up this trip, Jikookers love of GCFT. And in saying that, was his choice of pics posted just random or purposeful? My bet is on the latter. Everything JM does is thought out. That is, until he has JK standing right in front of him. That's when he loses control, lol. And that, my friends, is why JM is unwilling (and probably rightfully so, as hard as this is for me to admit) to go live with JK. I kind of think that JK realised the same of late, after that live tiddy grab, lol.

JM posted at 11:44 pm or 23:44 pm. And here are the numbers.

I'm done with "it's a coincidence", cause it is not. It wasn't when JK started lives at 11:08. It wasn't when JK posted his letter to Army at 6:13. And it's not now either. At this point that's what I believe. Take it or leave it.

And just incase those that saw them leaving for Japan and are still struggling to come to terms that perhaps the two are literally travelling together, we had someone that saw them together in said restaurant eating together, sitting at a table for 2 (and not for the lack of bigger tables available at the restaurant).

We also saw the two leaving for Sapporo. Of course, again, said very 'nice' - NOT - people having a field day with them not caught in one frame on their way out of Tokyo.

And I guess just for these 'nice' people's benefit (not really, but am I a bad petty person for being glad they got this right in their faces??) we had the two arriving in Sapporo TOGETHER.

Also looks familiar.

And did I mention the matchy matchy grey coloured sweatshirts?

At this point nothing surprises me anymore.

So Sapporo. A winter paradise. A city known for it's beer and breweries. The city that recognized same sex marriages. A known couples destination.

There have been sightings. And they are mostly keeping the information to themselves at the moment, seeing that the two are still in Japan. But, point being the two aren't hiding it. They are out in the open, together, enjoying themselves.

I know that they are having the time of their lives.

I know they are creating cherished memories for years to come.

I know that they are and will be happy!!!

I know that.

hi, no worries if you have no idea but i was just wondering if you know whether any other idols have done the paired enlistment thing before? or are jikook the first??

IF this has been done before by other idols, it wasn't talked about much because no one has been able to find it. So I'm thinking Jikook are the first???

We gotta remember other Idols enlist individually when its their time and the groups take a break as they wait for their members to get back. BTS were the first to use this strategy of enlisting at the same time, serve together so they can come back together. I have a feeling this is yet another thing thing more and more groups will emulate. Its smart as hell!

Idk if any other idols have done this before but Jikook are the only ones u will find if u try to look this up.

Can we talk about their numbers for a sec?

I mean, of course JK is the one who applied first for them to serve together. Of course he is!

My precious, wonderful satellite Jeon who doesn't handle separation anxiety very well 🥺🥺🥺 I'm not saying he cannot live without Jimin... but that's exactly what I'm saying....

Jikook probably since the beginning of the year (or after FACE and what JK went thru) knew they wanted to do this together. And when it was granted they went about their projects for the rest or the year knowing they were enlisting together. The fandom hated and hated and hated not knowing Jikook were gonna serve up the biggest "fuck u" of them all when the time came. What a wonderful time to be a Joker

THE SNOW blankets the entirety of his car.

Disguised under the frail and the fragile layer of ivory coruscation, the blue begs to be seen. Not yet, thinks Jeon Jeongguk. You've already made a spectacle of yourself. Now that he is having a wistful look at his precious possession, his heart takes in all the unblemished beauty before his body. The twinkles, those little fuckers, hide under the plum-infused heavens, but once a car interrupts the ice cold quietness of the night, Jeongguk unmasks their playful secret. You look so cold, but look at how pretty you are. He can't help but think of the girl he is waiting for. She is as sturdy as the bark of an oak tree, but once the snow melts on her skin, it leaves the glitter in its wake. The glitter he likes to collect. Gather. And carry as a keepsake in his wallet.

She has always been his Tinkerbell and Jeongguk ponders over that thought as he reaches into the depth of his pocket to pull out his packet of cigarettes. Blue and white—akin to the state of his car. He lights the end with a lighter that must have been misplaced. The color pink beams at him on his palm. Fuck if he knows how that ended up in his winter jacket, but he returns the smile until the smoke burns in his left eye. He puts the body of the cigarette between his fingers, eyelid closed, and with his ring finger he traces over the ghost of his lip-piercing. His tongue, out of habit, licks over the hole but does not find what it searched for. The piercing is gone and so is a part of him that he thought would live forever within him. Jeongguk sighs and takes a fat puff of his cigarette.

Crunchy footsteps sound behind him and he turns around. His Tinkerbell walks towards him and the barren trees, dressed only in the flimsy nightgown of winter, almost intertwine to make a crown over her head. Her hair, the scent of a dark wine, cascades in soft curls over her white woolen coat and pink scarf. Snowflakes have long stopped their fall, so Jeongguk does not find them in her midst, but he proceeds in the rampage of his curiosity over the sweet perimeter of her body. Her coat ends below her knees and it is merciful enough to reveal her legs to him, warm in thick tights, and her feet shod in shoes he knows too well.

He probably should fight the smirk forming upon the thinness of his lips. But Jeongguk decides he does not want to.

"Hey you," he says to her, the deep dimple of his cheek also acknowledging her. The smoke does little to conceal it.

She smiles at the greeting, the fullness of the cosmos glistening in her eyes. Jeongguk sees the order and the pattern of the world within the twinkle of those browns and he understands all of the sudden. He understands the whole world.

Looking up at him, she giggles. "Hey you."

He scrunches up his nose at her sweetness, a grin taking full form. He missed it—he missed her nectar.

In the past, when Jeongguk devoted more of his time to her, he discovered that this was her thing. She took pleasure in imitating a person's gestures and facial expressions if it sparkled a warm rumble of laughter in her chest. She was the girl who noticed profound details in people, whereas he was the man, whose heart longed to unbury the composition of his surroundings. Snow, the drowsy heavens, the trees and the misty fuzziness of it all when he steps on the gas. She had a wonderful memory, capable of remembering the certain movements of hands or mouths, the lift in the eyebrow or the intonation in someone's storytelling. It grew roots in her, it sweetened her blood and the whole room burned with flare at the start of her charades, but it never made her her in the slightest. She was still her own person. Ordinary to the fullest. With no quirkiness to her articulation. She kept her hands folded, the muscles on her face untouched by a fervent emotion. Shielded she was. She always was.

People versus art, it would seem.

He never cared much about people. Though, on the other hand, that was then. He doesn't know who he is now, half-empty, a new shape of forever extending in his bones. He wonders, for a mere second, as he regards her face, if she changed at all. Time passed between them, no matter how strongly he wishes it didn't in the least.

It differentiated her from everyone else, her ordinariness. It would pain him to bid his goodbye to it.

His heart quivers with the threat of anxiety. He blinks, lifting his hand and rubbing his thumb back and forth along the apple of her rosy cheek while taking a long drag from his cigarette. This is a good distraction, Jeongguk thinks to himself, his grin dropping to a melancholy smile. Has anything been changed in you?

Her skin feels the same as it did in the ostentatious time before. Back and forth, the ebb and the flow of the sea. He enjoys the innocent touch he can give her, gladness clutching his chest that his past memories are now replaced by new ones. They can't snicker at him in the dead of the night anymore. He has control now—he is living in the moment.

She leans into his touch. The anxiety backs away. It occurs to him, as light opens within him from her responsiveness, that she is saying something to him from the depths of her eyes. He can't figure out what it is. It has been too long; he has forgotten the language. More? he tries.

Jeongguk anchors his palm on the top of her head. "You missed me?"

He pats it a few times and watches as her eyes grow bigger and brighter. He never thought it was possible.

The remembrance that she never made the first move, but invariably waited for the green light of his first move, infuses his veins with a buzzing sensation. It scurries to each blood cell to make itself at home. Of course she did not flung herself at him, ask him questions, warm up his ears with the heat of her palms. Her submissiveness was the center of her being. The silent go, the permission. She thrived off of it. That is how she existed within the moonless woodland of his mind all that time spent apart. He could not forget that, even if he tried his hardest.

Go, Tinkerbell, Jeongguk thinks, pushing the little flyaways across her forehead to their rightful place. I allow you. It amuses him in such a loving way.

He wiggles her head, messing up her hair in the process, then lowers his hand to pinch her cheek hard. She groans and wraps her small hand around his wrist. Jeongguk finds it still warm from the confines of her home. His stomach moves under his jacket in the way he remembers it used to. The memory of all the times she touched him, a film of private pleasures that only he was acquainted with, spreads goosebumps over his arms—goosebumps like growing twigs of hardness that makes him strong. Fast passing memories that abandoned him during those long months he was gone, a year full of winter, longer than the current winter breathing in their lungs, they come up for air in him. He cannot seem to stop it and he holds his breath, daze intoxicating his mind. The trees are swaying. He is lost.

She punches his shoulder with her fist so he could let go of her reddened cheek. Once, twice. Oh, he is found. Then, she presses herself against him and envelops him in a hug that was long overdue. There you go, Tinks. Atta girl.

"'Course I did," she replies, her voice muffled against his jacket.

Warmth spreads across Jeongguk's heart. Such a strange, foreign feeling.

He pulls away to take the last puff of the cigarette. The only way he knows how to deal with his tenderness. She watches him and before he throws it away, she grabs his hand, stealing the half burnt body from his fingers and placing it between her rosily powdered lips. She takes a long drag, just like he did.

Nothing has changed. But he fears it might be an illusion.

"Have you smoked today?" he asks, quirking an eyebrow at her.

She scoffs, averting her gaze and taking another drag. "No."

Despite his fear, he remains calm as if emotionless. "What did you do all day?"

Her eyes remain fixed on the snow on the sidewalk beside her. "I napped."

Jeongguk chuckles. His teeth might hurt from her saccharinity.

"You haven't changed, have you?" he breathes the question, half hoping it is true.

She blinks up at him and tilts her head to the side. She must be thinking of what to say next in that cotton candy mind of hers. How endearing.

"And you still don't finish your cigarettes, do you?" she murmurs at last, lifting the cigarette with a smile to prove her point.

So she remembers him as deeply as he remembers her. The softness of her voice causes his eyes to lower into slits. He missed her. He missed her painfully. He can't stand it, the growing twigs, the warmth, the buds of flowers that burst open within his heart. It is too much at once.

"Snuff it out and come," he orders, turning on his heel to head back to his car.

He feels as though he was drunk on his tenderness, almost staggering. He inhales the winter through his nose and straightens his back. This has to stop. This has to be kept at bay. The decision strengthens his legs.

"Wait."

Jeongguk hears her call, but he is already occupied with sweeping the snow away from the hood. He hears her suck hard on the bud to enjoy the last of her nicotine delight and puffing out the smoke into the iciness of the now prolonged night. He listens, and it paints a grandiose composition of a specific painting in his mind. Trees, a crown, a fairy with frail wings in the middle, the twinkles of snow. But he shakes his head to rid himself of that picture. He walks over to the passenger side and removes the ice for her with ease. Though the hesitant crunch of her footsteps forces him to look at her.

Wobbly legs. Unfocused eyes. It adds to the half-true illusion that she hasn't changed at all.

Jeongguk rolls his eyes, but it is a play for her, a charade. He opens the door and wraps his hand around her arm when she reaches him, guiding her carefully into the heat.

"Don't finish it so fast next time," he tells her, eyebrows furrowing at her impetuousness.

"Haven't heard that in a while," she retorts, looking up at him with her round eyes.

A dagger pierces through his heart, taking with itself all buds of growing flowers. The understanding of his feelings eludes him, leaving him barren and shivering in the cold.

Jeongguk closes the door without a word. He gets behind the wheel and indulges in a deep breath. Tinkerbell watches him, a small smile playing a dangerous game with him upon her lips.

"It's cold," Jeongguk comments, but it is a lie.

He, too, is disguised now under the frail and the fragile layer of snow. But there are no twinkles. No. How could there ever be? He hasn't touched her yet in a way that would make her gush with glitter.

With that in mind, Jeongguk starts the engine. He has to touch her. His tenderness will stoop like a wounded animal.

It is the only way.
