Can I request the bros' s/o crying after hearing their boyfriend saying that they were proud of them ? Turns out that nobody ever said that to them, not even their own parents (Happend to me and I couldn't stop the tears XD)

Osomatsu:

• He's so used to praising his brothers over such trivial achievements, he'll stare at you blank faced for a moment.

• But as you go on to tell him that you've never really been acknowledged like that before, he feels something in his heart clench. Since he's the eldest, he's never really been praised much either. Come to think about it? You're the only one who actively does these days.

• He completely softens up. "Hey now. Im only praising you because I think - nah, I know you're pretty great. Uh... it makes me really happy when you praise me too, y'know. So let's keep praising each other in support, yeah? Us against the world, babe."

• He'll plant little kisses all over your face, then probably suggest a little love-making to lighten the mood, knowing him.

Karamatsu:

• You've been crying for about .001 seconds before he wraps you up in a strong yet sweet embrace.

• "Oh, my honey. It plagues me that you have not received but the sweetest words for your efforts. But no longer! I will do everything in my power to ensure you are aware of your virtues at all times!"

• He relishes in praise himself, so if you butter him up enough he'll probably have a little weep himself.

• He'll hold you until you're quite literally begging him to let go as you do, in fact, enjoy breathing.

Choromatsu:

• Tenses up as soon as you get emotional. Immediately thinks he's done something wrong, that he's upset you, until he manages to compose himself enough to listen.

• He's honestly pretty surprised that you haven't gotten much validation, he thinks you're super charming!

• "W-what? You've never been..? That's awful... well, if it makes you feel any better, I really do think you're something special, a-and you mean a lot to m-me..

Oh God, I made this embarrassing..."

• Be careful when praising Green. He'll either get super bashful or super self-absorbed. He is still Rising Chorofappyski, after all.

Ichimatsu:

• He would have been extremely nervous to compliment you in the first place, through fear of you finding it pathetic. So it may have come through some divine intervention (ie, esp kitty).

• Freaks the holy hell out once you start crying. Begins apologising profusely for letting something so stupid come out, he didn't mean to be a creep, but... what?

• "You... ah, I guess we're alike, then. The difference being, you definitely deserve more praise. You're really lovely, and kind, and sweet, and you even put up with trash like me..."

• Kitty cuddles all around! Make sure you let him know he's loved too, he needs it.

Jyushimatsu:

• He's really confused! You're his super special sunflower! You're really something else! How is everyone else too dumb to see that? He tilts his head.

• "Hey, Hey! No tears! You only deserve super big smiles, okay! Super big smiles for my super sunny y/n! Here, I'll show you just how muuuuuch you mean to me!"

• He runs off, and returns five seconds later with a bouquet of, you guessed it, sunflowers. They remind him of you because they make him happy, so they should make you happy too, right?

• He puts a flower in your hair and gives you an eskimo kiss. You're definitely smiling now.

Todomatsu:

• He's probably called you a cutie in public, while shopping. It's an offhand comment, just something to make you feel appreciated.

• He initially feels guilty once he realises that's an oddity for you, but figures it's his responsibility to give you all that you missed out on before, right?

• "Awww, hey, don't cry! I promise you, I'll do whatever it takes to make you feel just as cute as you look, okay? Why?! Isn't it obvious?! I love you, silly!"

• He buys you a frappé to keep your mind off it, but you wake up next morning to an Instagram post going over just how much you mean to him.

Commentary: so this one was actually quite hard for me to write tbh. the other ones ive projected my experience in, and while i have actually had erotomania my situation did not align with this scenario and thus it might not be as accurate. also while i dont like choro that much no more i tried not to let that bleed too deeply into the story itself. choromatsu is definitely a huge asshole at first but idk i think the pay off is worth it! do not @ me for the amount of todomatsu involvement.

Choromatsu Part 2

It starts out innocently enough, doesn’t it?

When admiration turns into affection, when affection shifts into fondness, when fondness morphs into infatuation, when infatuation changes into consumption, when consumption leaves a taste for obsession, when obsession makes mania overtake your senses, when mania leaves you guilty, when that guilt shields you from the wrong doing of lust.

When the shield of guilt warps into psychosis.

When psychosis lies and says it’s love.

When reality drops through the floor and leaves nothing left connected to the actual world outside of the concert venue.

Choromatsu starts off semi-normal, he’s a man in his twenties who has never dated before. It’s okay for him to practice with romantic fantasies with fictional characters, a lot of people do actually. People with spouses and children and productive lives do it too. It’s normal.

A light novel character Choromatsu likes is his first object of devotion. Then he moves to another, and another like a moth chewing holes through sweaters. That pit inside of him isn’t getting full.

Karamatsu eyes the light novel skeptically, “Isn’t she young?” Karamatsu asks critically. “In the first series, yeah. I’m more interested in her in the third series after the 2nd time-skip.” Choromatsu says pointing at his shrine.

“Karamatsu-niisan, Momoko-chan’s cute when she’s young but not like that.” Karamatsu frowns and drops the subject but after that point seems to be wary around Choromatsu’s anime merch. Like he’s judging Choromatsu for something he hadn’t done. There’s a perception of Choromatsu that isn’t accurate.

Karamatsu skips past Totoko’s entry in their high school year book and covers her picture. “Let me see?” Choromatsu asked and Karamatsu reluctantly places the book down.

“Karamatsu, you’re being weird. Totoko-chan is a minor in this picture, don’t you know that’s a crime?” Choromatsu side-eyes his brother and closes the book.

After all Choromatsu does like Totoko, but not her as a child.

When thinking about Totoko - Choromatsu’s shared childhood friend she’s has always been someone Choromatsu adores. She’s so cute and violent, and Choromatsu would never do anything that would make Totoko-chan actually hate him. He would teeter close, but Choromatsu always proves himself useful in the end. The pit says that’s not right, it’ll do for now but no. It’s still not full.

There’s an idol that Choromatsu sees in passing. First Osomatsu ruins his meeting with her but she didn’t seem to hate Choromatsu. Didn’t post on her Twitter about him or his shitty eldest brother. Nyaa-chan thanked her supporters and Choromatsu fell in love. That was Nyaa-chan’s first message to Choromatsu.

Thousands of yen poured into buying Nyaa-chan, he has to own every single piece of merch with her face. He has multiple copies. Choromatsu keeps running into her which feeds the delusion that Nyaa-chan loves him back.

Then Choromatsu finds out, Nyaa-chan is attracted to his face. Just not his personality, in fact she’s attracted to the one of his brothers he would hate the most. Stupid Osomatsu! Why him and not Choromatsu?! Is it because Osomatsu is an alcoholic?! Because he’s shitty and openly a pervert?! Should Choromatsu be an open pervert?

Or is it because of this burden that’s attached itself to Choromatsu?

Bright eyes and a bubbly voice, you’d be perfect if Choromatsu felt even an inkling of attraction towards you. All at once Choromatsu has to focus attention on repelling you as you stalk him.

“Haha haa, look Choromatsu is getting a taste of his own medicine!” Osomatsu laughs with the mean-spiritedness of a child.

“Choromatsu-niisan, you should be happy a girl likes you that much! Don’t be ungrateful, I’d kill to have a girl follow me around like that.” Todomatsu scolds him rudely, “When she realizes what a piece of shit loser you are you’re going to regret not at least having sex once.”

As if that’s the issue!

Every time Choromatsu steps out of the house there you are sitting on the bench.

“Choro-chaan!” You call out, “Look, look! I’m wearing the same long sleeve as you! We’re twins!” Your voice is affected, Choromatsu can tell you’re straining to sound cuter than you actually are.

You wave around a poster in his face, one of Choromatsu kissing you. He pushes it away, “Go home.” Choromatsu tells you already annoyed. Why couldn’t you be a cute girl instead, Choromatsu mentally laments.

You’re a lot shorter than him which would make it awkward to kiss. You weigh probably twice as much as him which would make it hard to pick you up, you’re not even sexy-fat which is a huge disappointment. Your curves don’t appeal to him, Todomatsu’s the one into thighs, not Choromatsu. Your bust is too awkward of a size, he doesn’t like your double-chin, and you should start wearing your glasses again because Choromatsu hates seeing you walk into windows. Your hair isn’t dyed a color he likes, after all it’s not like Choromatsu picked green by choice!

“Let’s go on another date today, Choro-chan! I just got back from my doctor’s appointment so I really want to hang out with you today, I’m feeling a bit lonely.” You follow him like you’re floating on air. Your soft voice grates his ears.

“Ah, really. Get well soon but I want to remind you that we’ve never been on a date and never will. Go home.” Choromatsu doesn’t slow down his pace or glance at you, not for a second even when you struggle with those stubby legs to keep up. You sound fine and you’re energetic enough to chase after Choromatsu. You should use that energy to recover. “Don’t you have a job or something to be at?” Choromatsu rolls his eyes.

“No, I can’t handle people yelling at me very well. I’m really sensitive actually. And don’t forget we’ve been on tons of dates already, plus I saw what you posted about me last night! So romantic!”

What the hell are you talking about?

“What? You’re delusional.” Choromatsu shouldn’t have asked.

“I wrote a post about you first and you posted that tweet about your true love!” You gush twirling your ultra long hair. Choromatsu can see it in the corners of his eyes. Why even grow it that long, you’re not Rapunzel.

“That wasn’t about you, it was about Nyaa-chan. I have never tweeted about you and never will. Stop following me and go home.” Choromatsu’s true love just so happened to be taking selfies at Chibita’s with the caption ‘Wish you were here with me.’

Choromatsu wanted to give up his love for Nyaa-chan but how could he when she keeps saying such sweet things to him. Now he just has to get rid of this nuance before Nyaa-chan misunderstands.

Obsessive and delusional people like you bother people who are attuned with reality. It’s sad but Choromatsu gets why you’re attracted to someone normal like himself.

After a few paces Choromatsu doesn’t hear you bothering him anymore and when he turns around he cheers because he gave you the slip.

“Score 1 for Choromatsu!”

The next day when Choromatsu leaves the house you’re not waiting for him. It’s a bit surprising but lucky for him! You’ll probably find him while he’s out anyways like you always do.

Choromatsu runs his errands with anxiety because he’s been out for several hours and you can appear at any second. When he rushes home without seeing you once Choromatsu feels relieved.

The next time Choromatsu goes out with his brothers Jyushimatsu asks, “Where’s Choromatsu-niisan’s girlfriend?” while looking around.

“Jyushimatsu, she isn’t my girlfriend.” Choromatsu says loudly. “I don’t like that type of girl at all, I like cute girls! Like Nyaa-chan and Totoko-chan.” Choromatsu watches his brothers pale, “She’s really big isn’t she? And her voice is sort of annoying, not at all adorable like Nyaa-chan’s! She’s also trying too hard, I like girls I can chase after but she’s too easy. Girls like that are the worst, right? Plus she’s insane so I wouldn’t ever date someone like that. Oh well,”

Choromatsu sighs loudly, “I get it because I am irresistible, but don’t worry even though I’m popular now I won’t leave you guys behind. I have my pride after all.”

“What’s with this atmosphere?” Choromatsu looked at Karamatsu, “What’s wrong Karamatsu-niisan?” Who then turned away. “Ichimatsu?” Ichimatsu pulled his hoodie over his eyes and shook his head.

As he spoke Choromatsu’s brothers shrank up and smiled awkwardly. Todomatsu creeped a bit past Choromatsu while making shushing sounds.“Totty, what are you doing?” Choromatsu finally looked behind him and there you were.

“Ah, there you are. Go home.” Choromatsu says casually.

When you meet his eyes you don’t wail or burst into screaming tears, you don’t react violently or anything. You just scrub your eyes and smile at him painfully.

“H-hey, heyy… It’s alright Namae-chan… Choromatsu-niisan was just joking. We all think you’re really pretty,” Todomatsu tries to pacify you by smoothing down your ridiculously long hair.

“I wasn’t.” Choromatsu tells you. “I don’t like you, leave me alone.” and begins to walk away.

Once Choromatsu turns his back to you he can hear his brothers attempt to console you, which they probably shouldn’t waste their time on. He could understand if you were pretty or something but someone like you?

You’re probably used to this sort of treatment anyways, after all you’re the one who’s the problem and refuses to look at yourself critically.

When Choromatsu’s brothers get home he’s jumped and then scolded by the group for being so callous.

“That was low even for you, Choromatsu.” Ichimatsu whispers under his breath. “Choromatsu-niisan, you’re supposed to reject girls gently!” Jyushimatsu says with his sleeve covering his mouth.

“C'mon, Choromatsu. She’s not that bad. I think she’s cute, right Karamatsu?” Osomatsu looks at Karamatsu. “She’s ugly, and you’d fuck anything with legs Osomatsu.” Choromatsu groans loudly.

“I think she’s cute.” Karamatsu says and the group agrees.

“Then you date her.” Why do they even care?

“Do you really mean that, Choromatsu-niisan?” Todomatsu asks who has been suspiciously quiet the whole time. He’s tapping on his phone like he’s disinterested in the conversation.

“Of course I do! I’d pay one of you to get her to leave me alone.”

With those words Todomatsu looks up with relief. “Okay!” Then he goes back to texting on his phone with a small smile.

“Why? It’s not like you’re going to ask her out.” Yeah this is suspicious. If Todomatsu is going to pretend to date you in order to make Choromatsu jealous it won’t work.

“Huh? Why wouldn’t I?” Todomatsu tilts his head, “I mean you don’t like her and if she’s attracted to you she’s probably attracted to any of us, right? It’d be like a transfer of ownership.” Todomatsu sets down his phone now.

“She’s a person, not a car Todomatsu.” Choromatsu rolls his eyes, “You can’t be serious.”

“But I like her and you don’t. Why wouldn’t I ask her out?” Choromatsu looks at his brothers for back up.

“Can I ask her out too?” Ichimatsu points to himself, “Nono, Ichimatsu-niisan! I’m asking her out. I said it first.” Todomatsu waves him off. “Heh, I’ll throw my hat in the ring - Namae-chan get ready to convert into a Karamatsu girl!”

“Karamatsu-niisan, I just said I was asking her out!” Todomatsu protests. “Jyushimatsu do you wanna ask her out too?” Osomatsu grins, “Yeah!”

“I don’t get why any of you would want to. She’s ugly and fat and isn’t even sexy.”

Todomatsu turns to look Choromatsu dead in the eyes. “Who isn’t? Namae-chan is my ideal type, I mean she’s got to have really good belly button wrinkles. Plus when I saw her cry today it really made me want to protect her. Ahh, do you think she’ll wait for me outside everyday? I was so jealous watching her I kept thinking 'I know it’s bad but what if a girl was that obsessed with me? What would I do? How could I keep her that way forever?’ It’s such a turn on knowing someone only has eyes for you, not to mention the ego boost!”

Choromatsu watches his brothers nod in agreement. “You’re glorifying mental illness, Todomatsu.”

Todomatsu spins hugging himself, “When I make her mine she won’t even remember your name, Choromatsu-niisan!” Then Todomatsu runs over and shakes Choromatsu’s hands.

“Thank you, Choromatsu-niisan!” And with that Todomatsu skips out of the room with his phone in hand.

A few hours pass with Choromatsu rereading the same two sentences of Cherry Boy’s monthly and cannot parse them. Suddenly all of his brothers rush to the window.

“That dry monster wasn’t kidding! Isn’t it too soon to do this? Has he no shame?!” Ichimatsu curses, “I was going to wait at least three days.”

“No fair, Totty!”

“Shit, he got the drop on us.” Osomatsu watches with a bored glare, “Well if any of us had a real shot it’d be him.”

“She’s not going to go out with him because she’s obsessed with me, but let me see.” Choromatsu makes his way to the window and looks down. There you are sitting next to Todomatsu on the bench.

You’re not wearing green, your glasses are back on and your hair is a natural shade again. If Choromatsu strains his ears he can hear most of the conversation.

“Did you redye your hair?” Todomatsu asks politely, “No. I was too afraid to bleach it myself and my hair is really long so I can’t afford to have it done professionally… I just used hair chalk because it was cheaper. Maybe I should get it cut soon.”

Choromatsu watches as Todomatsu takes a lock of your hair and twirls it between his fingers. “It’s very beautiful though, it’d be a shame to cut it.” Choromatsu is flabbergasted when Todomatsu k-ki-kisses your hair!!

Todomatsu looks up and makes eye contact with Choromatsu. A small smirk plays on his face before it shifts into something genuinely nice. Then Todomatsu is back focused on you.

“Thank you.” You fidget for a bit.

“So, Namae-chan could you tell me what you like about Choromatsu?”

Your body tenses, “I actually don’t know. It’s like one day I saw him and wanted to be with him forever. I couldn’t stop thinking about him and then talking about him and then all at once I was in love.” You started tugging at your sleeves.

“I’ve been talking about him in therapy for a while, my therapist says I don’t know him well enough to be in love. And she said judging by his words he doesn’t love me. We’ve been doing a treatment plan and I didn’t believe that would work or that was true but after we ran through it she told me that if he says it in front of other people when I’m not around then to listen.”

Todomatsu puts an arm around your shoulder and you lean into his embrace. Choromatsu feels envious for some reason, “I might not be Choromatsu-niisan but I’m the next best thing in the looks department, plus I think you’re so cute.”

You turn to look at him, “I know this is sudden but will you go out with me?”

Choromatsu walks away from the window.

A few days later there’s a familiar sight, Choromatsu exits the house and there you are at the bench waiting for him. Your eyes light up behind your new pink frames and then quickly settle into disappointment. That disappointment becomes quiet dispair.

“Oh, you’re back? Go ho -…?” Before Choromatsu could finish his statement he looks down at outfit. Your hair is tied up and styled in its natural color, and your sweater is peach colored with a cream croptop, black shorts and pink thigh high socks. Your accessories are pastel and colorful.

There’s an absence of green however. But that’s not the issue because you suddenly stand up with a shy smile and seemingly walk towards Choromatsu. Just when Choromatsu was about to tell you to stay back he hears your name being called.

“Y/n-rin~!” Todomatsu pushes Choromatsu out of the way and runs over to you.

“You look so cutee, did you get all dressed up for me? Didn’t I ask you to meet me at the station?” Todomatsu smiles at you gleefully holding your hands.

“I couldn’t wait to see you because I…”

You look down nervously and place a small present in Todomatsu’s now free hand. “I got this for you. Um for our first d-date.” Why are you acting so shy with Todomatsu? You were so loud before, what you’re trying a different tactic with his brother?

It’s just a stupid phone charm, Choromatsu thinks while picking himself up. It’s not even something Todomatsu would like, look at his face.

“I love it! Thank you soo much, Y/n-rin! I’ll treasure it always! Let’s go, okay?” Your awkward smile is sorta cute. Todomatsu attaches it to his phone instantly.

Todomatsu pulls you away and you haven’t looked at Choromatsu again once.

This happens a few more times except you’ve been pointedly avoiding the Matsuno resistance. Choromatsu keeps seeing you in places, it’s not like like he’s looking to find you either. It’s just suddenly Choromatsu wants to go that that cafe, and the mall, and the pet store, if Choromatsu sees you at the art museum it’s just a coincidence and if Choromatsu accidentally runs into you waiting for his youngest brother it’s not weird if he tries to strike up a conversation.

After all you’re just doing this to make Choromatsu jealous.

It’s not working though, after all Choromatsu doesn’t even think about you.

He hasn’t thought about how you stayed so strong after being rejected so much and how much Choromatsu admires that resilience. Choromatsu doesn’t feel affection when remembering your smile, nor does he fondly reminisce when looking at the gifts you gave him. He definitely isn’t infatuated nor consumed by thoughts of you.

He can tell because Todomatsu is baiting him because his annoying youngest brother would announce where he was going to take you next for a while after bragging about his dates. When Todomatsu stopped that, Choromatsu started visiting places you invited him repeatedly to.

Todomatsu foolishly lost his cellphone so it’s not weird that Choromatsu would meet up with him on his date after Choromatsu found it. It’s also not weird that Choromatsu would text you, after all Choromatsu is a kind brother.

“Ah, Namae-san.” Choromatsu calls out to you casually and you don’t look up. Instead you keep texting Todomatsu and looking at your watch with anxiety. When you send the message Choromatsu’s pocket dings. You look up at him with an awkward smile. It’s kind of cute.

“Good afternoon.” You peer behind him and Choromatsu takes a good look at you, you’re wearing more pinks.

“Is Todomatsu with you?” You strain your neck more. “I thought I heard his phone so…?”

Choromatsu fishes it out of his pocket, “It’s right here. He lost it so I was going to return it to him.” Your smile becomes stranger but doesn’t look happy.

“Couldn’t you have given it to him at hom -”

“Do you not like green anymore?” Choromatsu cuts you off with the question. “You haven’t worn anything green in a while and I thought you said it was your favorite.”

You shrink up and put your head down, “I don’t look good in green.” Your hands are balled up until you look up hopefully into Choromatsu’s eyes.

“I think you do.” Choromatsu starts before you cut him off, “But I look great in pink!” You look past him and shoot up when you see Todomatsu jogging towards you.

Choromatsu watches as you both hug and share a brief kiss. That should be Choromatsu kissing you. “Give me my phone back, Choromatsu-niisan.” Todomatsu snatches the device out of Choromatsu’s hand.

Choromatsu goes on another soul finding journey that same day and the resounding advice he got was go to therapy. So when he returns to Akatsuka ward that’s what Choromatsu does. He can’t stay under the same roof as Todomatsu or else he might become violent so Choromatsu finds a job with company housing.

With his male therapist Choromatsu grieves and talks about his own inadequacies, vents and builds a strong foundation with him. Choromatsu’s given a low dose antipsychotic which he takes diligently.

Choromatsu began therapy with the idea there’s nothing wrong with him, and his therapist seems inclined to agree. Or at least treats Choromatsu like he’s normal and well adjusted.

“Matsuno-san, we’ve been working together for a while so I want to know if I can tell you what I think?” Tsubasa says to Choromatsu after writing down a series of notes.

“Ah? Go ahead then.” Choromatsu braces himself mentally for the worst.

“I have several things I want to point out here and please tell me if these statements feel accurate from your point of view.” Tsubasa picks his pen back up.

“You put a lot of energy into how you want to be seen, right?” Tsubasa waits for Choromatsu to articulate his answer.

“I mean doesn’t everybody? I can’t think of anyone who doesn’t want to be seen in a good light. Everyone wants to put their best foot forward and be liked by as many people as possible. It’s better to cast a wide net and be popular than not.” Choromatsu fiddles with his company cell phone and the charm attached to it. It’s not a smart phone but Choromatsu doesn’t need something like that anyways.

“I think that’s true to a certain degree. Once I get a broader picture I’ll tell you what I think in a moment.” Tsubasa scribbles many notes on his paper quickly.

“You’ve mentioned feeling in competition against all of your brothers several times, is it because you felt that they had some trait you lacked? And did you feel inadequate and less popular because of it?”

Choromatsu has to stop himself from cussing Tsubasa out again, instead he swallows down the curses and counts backwards from ten. When he’s finished Choromatsu opens his mouth and promptly shuts it. Slap the rubberband now Choro-chan or else he might try to punch Tsubasa. The hell kind of question even is that?

The rubberband smacks his skin once and Choromatsu feels a bit better. It hurts him but it reminds Choromatsu a punch would hurt more and the consequences would not work in Choromatsu’s favor.

With gritted teeth Choromatsu breathes in and Tsubada watches tentatively with the physical distance between them greater than before.

“I’ve always been compared to my brothers. Everything we do, everything we wear, the people we know, everything. We’re a set so if one of us is better at something than the others isn’t it for the best to drag him back into place? None of us are allowed to stand out and we shouldn’t want to.” Choromatsu sighs and puts his head in his arms.

“But…?” Tsubasa asks and this question makes Choromatsu cry.

Hi, I wanted to ask you, can you tell us more about your thoughts on relationship analysis?

I’m assuming you mean this post (x)!

I thought the relationship analysis was really well-thought out, and it gave a lot of interesting perspectives. Like the Ichimatsu and Todomatsu analysis. I love the "domestic vs public party peep" idea. 

Ichimatsu does thrive having fun with his brothers, but he is mentally unprepared to have a "public party" persona after doing it for so long at 18 years old. Oppositely, Todomatsu is often bullied in the "domestic" setting by his brothers (poor baby). Some examples are the s1 mixer auditions, the s3 cooking contest, etc. Todomatsu is really good at having a cute “party persona” though when his brothers are missing.

Tho I am kinda nitpicky about some duos XD

Jyushimatsu vs Osomatsu

The magazine didn't really define their relationship imo. It just restated what happened in previous episodes. This meta about Bakamatsu does give some exposition though! Jyushi is the type who tries to cheer people up, and Oso is happy just being stupid with Jyushi, so its a win-win situation! Hence why are they are so stupid together. Neither of them have to worry about the other party and they can just goof around together. Like in the Wannabe Detectives skit!

Together, they can be stupid without consequence!

Karamatsu vs Choromatsu

While I totally agree with the magazine's analysis, I also think Karamatsu likes to tease/bully his immediate younger brother. There are a lot of instances of Karamatsu saying he'll "come back for Choromatsu" while running away and then not doing that.

Also in s2e10 Choromatsu helped Karamatsu confront their brothers about the chores, yet Karamatsu abandons Choromatsu at the end to escape. In the pre-movie skits, Karamatsu called Choromatsu cute, then explains that Choromatsu is cute because he isn't popular like Karamatsu. It's like Karamatsu likes to playfully bully his immediate younger sibling. There’s no ill-intent intended (still, it’s at Choro’s expense).

I love suiriku a lot but I don't see this side of Karamatsu talked about often unless its directed at Oso. I don't think Karamatsu purposely bullies any of his younger brothers besides Choromatsu. And yes Karamatsu is very honest with Choromatsu! I am not denying that. Karamatsu just likes to tease Choromatsu too.

Choromatsu vs Jyushimatsu

I didn’t agree with this analysis initially, but after re-reading it I kinda do now. I know the magazine only goes up to s2 (2018), so the movie and s3 didn’t exist yet.

“Madness pulled from absurdity” does explain Choro & Jyushi’s relationship pretty well. Jyushimatsu brings out the mad side of Choro sometimes. And by the time of the movie, and s3, maybe it finally got to the point that Jyushimatsu had to develop a tsukkomi role for Choromatsu’s ideals. 

It was a gradual role reversal, maybe? Idk, this is a duo I love but also they’re positions have changed over the seasons and I’m not too knowledgeable about their dynamic.

Osomatsu vs Five Matsus

I agree with the overall message! Osomatsu is built to revolve around his brothers, and without them he is lost as hell. He also has mixed feelings about them, both wanting to care about them but also wanting his own identity lol.

I just don’t like hearing e24 being summarized as “Osomatsu is upset because Choromatsu got a job”. I mean Osomatsu wasn't bothered when Todomatsu got a job as a barista, he was just sad Totty didn't tell them! 

Its about how his brothers got independence. Osomatsu has this whole philosophy about "staying true to yourself" and "being yourself". It likewise implies Osomatsu is very uncomfortable about drastic changes.

After Nyaa quit her idol career for marriage, Choromatsu gave up his fanboy identity to grow up. And not only is he getting a job, he’s also moving out. It was,,, a very big change and it also involved Choro giving up a part of his identity. And Osomatsu didn’t like it at all.

And yeah, the situation only escalated from there onwards. I agree with the magazine’s analysis,, but every time I see the episode being generalized into this one sentence I just get weirdly annoyed asdhsdgs

It’s all about changes in character/identity! “Being yourself” and “forcing yourself to change to be an adult” are real fears Osomatsu has lol. And e24 basically captured that,,, At least in my opinion! His brothers took independence as a means of a dramatic character change.

Osomatsu probably hopes he can keep being “himself” while he can also be an adult at the same time. But e24 proves that he HAS to change. Seeing all his bros changing themselves to be proper adults, and leaving him alone, probably rekt him. His life does revolve around them. And Osomatsu has zero healthy coping mechanisms so yeah he was bound to explode in a toxic way.

Which is why s2e24 is so great! They got jobs and didn’t lose much of their personal identities. Osomatsu trusts and loves his brothers, but he’s also got issues lol. Sorry this last part went a bit off topic;; I don’t really have anything else to add so I’ll just stop here!

Osomatsu-San X Boyfriends! Part 1 (Oso,Kara,Choro)

(I know, I know, I’m splitting it in half. but I want to try and dedicate separate posts so I can really put my all into them, and just so it’s easier for me to soar through them, without sounding to redundant. Enjoy!!!)

Osomatsu

Handsy is an understatement. When he finally snags a relationship with his s/o, oh my god, you will not be spared a moment. He loves his man/male presenting s/o. 

For his favorite physical parts of you... expect lots of raspberries and kisses there. Expect him to constantly want to hold your hand, squeeze your thigh, or nuzzle into your neck. He’s a living, breathing space heater, and will do everything he can to stay glued to you/on you.

He, of course, will always mooch off of you, but most importantly: love to smooch you. 

He’s a simple man. He doesn’t want overly extravagant dates or grand gestures. He’s the type that wants to stay home and play games, and spoon all day (he hates to admit it, but he likes being little spoon as much as he does big spoon).

To his parents, anyone who can make Oso get off his ass get a job is a god send. Expect frequent phone calls, visits, and home-cooked dinners. They’re almost as enamored with you as their son, and make an effort to get to know you.

Even with you both productive and on your own, they insist you call them if you need anything.

Oso will definitely be the type that eventually wants to settle down. This may not necessarily mean marriage, but he definitely wants to live with you, have a nice little house in a suburb, and grow old with you. Whether you involve pets or children into the equation is up to you. Oso thinks adoption is a neet neat idea, and is definitely down for it and other alternatives.

Karamatsu

Tell him he’s pretty. Tell him he’s handsome. He craves validation, and finds it the most sincere when you’re threading your fingers through his hair. This baby is more than touch starved, but will not beg for it. But you can definitely feel his contented sighs and his warm cheeks when you give him a sliver of your kindness.

He can also crave the simpler things in life, but also loves grand gestures, fancy dinner parties, and going out on the town with you. He’s incredibly flexible, and his super power is being spontaneous. 

You’ll never have a dull moment with him. Whether you’re discovering his poems and songs hidden in the closet, helping him shop for new clothes, or taking him to places he’s never been before... you know that Karamatsu loves any moment that can be spent with you, beside you.

He is deeply receptive to physical touch and affection, and whenever you kiss him, kiss his knuckles, play with his hair... This man is P U D D Y in your hands.

Seriously this man would gladly jump down a flight of stairs, land in a forward split, and do vigorous jazz hands for a minute straight if it meant that you would pamper him as he should be.

He’s not spoiled... but he CAN be. And don’t expect him to back down when it comes to spoiling you.

He makes a lot of effort to be a part of and indulge in your favorite hobbies. Like to paint? He’ll be your muse. Like to sing? He’ll back you up with some guitar. Like to hike? Uhh... he’ll do his best. 

His parents, 10/10, will adore you and want you to marry him. ASAP. They know how much of an affect you have on their son, and will practically beg you to become part of the family.

You’re a ball of radiance and peace that befalls the family. But with Kara, they’ve seen him change into a sweeter, even more passionate guy. And they know that you’re the spark he’s always been missing.

Choromatsu

While some people make the off-putting statement that you “complete” someone in a relationship... people tell you that you actually bring Choro back down to Earth.

You can make him focus on what’s in front of him, in the here and now, instead of fantasizing and thinking of the “what if’s”. You’ve always appreciated his positivity and forward looking attitude, but sometimes you have to be realistic, too.

Choromatsu tries to keep his feelings for you in check, and not expose too much of himself that may be embarrassing, or maybe even adorable... but you always manage to get him to squeak out sweet nothings to you, while you have him in your arms.

He likes to work from home, as he’s the guy that can tend to hop from job to job, and evolve past a position quickly. Once he’s shown the miracles and niceties of working and having an income, Choro becomes a work horse. So, of course, you help him relax when he’s home, and keep him grounded when he’s stressed/overworked.

You both like to do simple, small dates, but you both really enjoy going on annual, INSANE trip. These are usually saved up for, and a combined effort on both of your parts. You could go to Comic Con, travel to an important job fair (for his or your work), go on a cruise, go to a Nyaa-chan concert.... it’s incredibly unpredictable, but the both of you thrive off of that! So what if you guys mostly worked hard?? You guys need to let off steam too!!!

You guys have evolved into a relationship that is healthy, domestic-like, and just all around balanced lifestyle. You amaze his parents with how dedicated yet independent you both are. They have bets that Choro will definitely want to marry you in a few years, but they’re relieved that Choro is taking his time, and just enjoying his “glory years” with you before tying any knots.

(Aaaaand, that’s it for part one! I’ll be coming back with the other 3, younger NEETS whenever I feel another surge of inspiration! I’m trying not to overdo it, because I’m currently going through a STRESSFUL transition into a new job. Ciao!)

“Love?” [Osomatsu X Reader]

This was written on Wattpad, but I decided to post some written stories here too. Anyways, this was requested for a while back on Wattpad, but I decided to share it here on Tumblr too. 

"(Y/n)-chan, it's an emergency! (Y/n)-chan!!" Osomatsu screams, bursting into your room.

You turn your head, eyes wide as Osomatsu runs into your room, a face full of distraught in urgency, "What's wrong?! Did Karamatsu go missing?!"

"No--"

"Did Choromatsu lose his Nyaa-chan tickets?"

"No--"

"Did Ichimatsu lose ESP Kitty again?"

"No--"

"Did--

"No!" He interrupts you before you continue blabbering anything about his younger brothers. He pants, still recovering from running to your house. "It's not about my brothers," He sucks up a breathe, "Totoko-chan's looking for a boyfriend!"

"..." You stare at him. "Eh?"

"I know right! Now's my chance, (Y/n)-chan! I can finally ask her out!" He cheers, jumping up and down, doing handstands and dancing around chanting, 'girlfriend' with a blush on his cheeks.

"Oh..." You feel your heart throb painfully, a heavyweight pressing on your chest, watching Osomatsu cheer on, extremely happy that Totoko was looking for a boyfriend.

You knew that Osomatsu has had a crush on Totoko ever since he was a child. Of course, he would, she was much prettier than you anyway! (You're very beautiful, don't listen to my writing). You sigh and force on a smile as you block out the sad feeling in your gut, trying so hard not to shed tears right in front of him.

"That's very," you swallow a breath, "good to hear...!"

Osomatsu stops cheering, before taking your hands in his, "You gotta help me!" He exclaims, his eyes glistening with confidence. "Train me."

"...What do you mean?"

"Train me to become a good boyfriend for Totoko-chan!"

"What--"

He goes on his knees, not even letting you answer, "Please! Please! You're my best friend! You gotta help me! Please, please, please--!"

He grabs on your ankles, repeating his begs as he cries at your feet.

"Okay, okay! Please stop!" You beg back, hating Osomatsu begging for someone that can never be you.

"Really?" He immediately gets up from the floor and stands up straight, "That was easier than I thought! Lucky!~" He rubs his index finger under his nose and laughs.

You glare at him before crossing your arms, "Fine. Okay, when do we start? Tomorrow? Next Saturday? Sun--"

"Now!"

"Now?!"

"Yes!"

You open your mouth, struggling to find words, before sighing out in defeat. You were happy for Osomatsu, you were. But knowing that fact that he's come for your advice for a woman that he loves on which was not you, it was very hard not to hold in the heavyweight in your chest. But as long as he was happy, you were happy

You turn to him, "Okay, fine."

"Show me how you'd dress if you were going in a date with Totoko-chan." You say.

You were creating up scenarios and observing how Osomatsu would react to them, before giving him advice and correcting things. Osomatsu immediately dragged you to his home when you agreed to help him, making it easier for you to create scenarios when everything he owned was in his house anyway.

He shuffles behind the paper door before opening it with a grin. Osomatsu was wearing his signature red hoodie with some jeans that he always wore.

"What? You didn't even change." You acknowledge, an eyebrow quirked at his actions. "Huh? I can't wear what I like to wear on dates? Lameee." He drags out his last remark, arms crossed behind his head as he puckers his lips in disappointment.

"Well, you can wear what you like on dates as long as it's casual. But knowing Totoko-chan she would always want her man prettied up for her to brag about on social media, you know? Try something more... formal." You critique, snapping your fingers in emphasis.

Osomatsu nods and hums at the same time, "You gotta point, (Y/n)-chan... so what do I wear?" He tilts his head.

"You can always wear a suit."

Osomatsu runs over to the closet and changes into the usual blue suit that he and his brothers all have. "Tada!~ Will Totoko-chan date me now?~ Hehe~" He winks.

You smile at him, eyebrows arched in appeal, "...Well," You say, trying to find the right words, "It can work, but do you have any other suits?"

He shakes his head.

You sigh, 'That won't due at all.' You think to yourself. You clear your throat, "Well since this is just training, make sure to buy a new suit because your blue one is overused and a bit old, is it not?"

"Ehh? But suits are expensive!" He pouts, puckering his lips.

You find yourself guilty as you pull out a 10,000 yen bill ($100). "Here, don't use it on Panchi--"

He swats it away from your hands as soon as you pull it out, "Yahoo! I can win big looting with this much money!! Yaho--" "AHEM."

He stops when you glare at him, "Use it on a cheap suit. Don't you use it on gambling, Oso. This is serious. Do you want to be Totoko-chan's boyfriend or what?"

He immediately calms down and sits on the ground, face serious, ready for your next scenario.

You didn't know why but you would felt a bit happier if he spent the money on Panchinko than Totoko. But you clear those thoughts from your head and tell him to stand up.

"How would you hold her hand?"

Osomatsu grabs your hand and interlocks his fingers into yours. You feel your heart hammer in your chest and eyes grow wide as your cheeks grow red. 'No,' you think. 'I can't, this is for Totoko-chan, not for you!'

You hold his hand, feeling it, before your face scums up in disgust, "Why are your hands so clammy?"

You feel Osomatsu tense up a bit, "Uh... umm."

Oh my fucking God. EW.

You yank your hand away from his, wiping it on your pants. "Gross! Gross!" You yell, the feeling of his clammy hands lingering on your hand was still buzzing strong. "Lesson number one!" You exclaim, "Wash your hands after jerking off!!"

It was late evening as you took Osomatsu out for a walk before his brothers go home, not wanting them to interrupt your 'dating session' with Osomatsu.

Your cheeks were still flared up a bit, knowing that you indirectly touched his dick from his hands. Disgusting. But honestly, you touch both his hand and his dick? What a combo-- Okay, that's enough.

Your lesson this time was trying not to make the atmosphere awkward with your date. That was important. But it was a bit difficult, knowing that you just held his clammy hands after he just recently jerked off. Even Osomatsu was flustered. Strange.

"Osomatsu, try to start a conversation, it's getting awkward..."

"Ah! Right, right."

He clears his throat before he thinks to himself for a moment, "So, um... (Y/n)-chan," He starts off, "Did you like the date?"

Him using your name as training was a bit difficult, not knowing if he was getting into character or not. But you really wished he wasn't. "It was really good, Oso! Thank you for taking me out!" You giggle, smiling.

He giggles too, his cheeks dusted with pink.

"But if Totoko-chan didn't like it, what do you say?"

"You ungrateful, bitch."

"NO!"

"Eh--"

"For the love of God-- NO! That's the last thing you wanna say to her!" You say, trying so hard to contain your laughter.

"Ehh? But I'm trying my best! I'm sensitive here!" He puckers his lips and pouts again.

"Yes, I know that, Oso. But please just be gentle on women. If you really rile Totoko-chan up, I don't want her to hauler up your ass!"

"Oho~? You care about me, (Y/n)-chan. You're so cute!" He teases, him ruffling your hair.

"Of course, I'm your best friend!" You force yourself to say 'friend', trying not to damage your heart than it was already was.

Osomatsu remains silent at your remark before he yawns, "I'm tired."

"Don't yawn during your date, she'll think you're bored of her."

"Geez, why are women so complicated and overreact to everything we men do?" He rolls his eyes.

"I don't know, that's how this generation works now I guess." You pause, "But you're tired, right? Let's end the training session for today for we can continue tomorrow." You stop walking and look at Osomatsu.

"But I'm gonna ask her out tomorrow!"

"What? But that's too soon!"

"Eh... you win some you lose some. I gotta shoot my shot before anybody else gets on that sweet piece of ass!" He laughs.

Your eye twitches, trying not to kick him in the balls. "Osomatsu, don't say that at loud in front of Totoko, she'll just think you're just using her for a one night stand."

Osomatsu sighs and nods, "Fine, fine."

"Okay, before we go on our separate ways, let's review," You clear your throat, "The first thing you're gonna do tomorrow?"

"Buy a suit."

"What should you always do with Totoko-chan?"

"Listen to what she has to say, and don't question too much about her."

"Good. What about on a date?"

"Start conversations, and don't talk about yourself. Let Totoko-chan do most of the talking and only answer if she's asking you."

"What's another important thing you should remember?"

"...Smile at the appropriate time-- god, why do I have to do that?" He complains.

"If you stare at a girl and smile at her the whole time, she'll think you're a huge creep."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." He says.

"And the last one for now: when should be the appropriate time to confess?"

"When you feel it in your gut and she has your attention..."

You smile, "Good! You did great." You say, ruffling his hair as he chuckles.

"Anyways, go get plenty of rest now, and go get Totoko-chan tomorrow!" You say, before you part ways, waving.

Osomatsu watches you go, a blush on his cheeks. He feels his heart hammering when he remembers the feeling of your hand run through his dark-brown locks. It was comforting. Really, really, comforting. He understands why Ichimatsu really likes head starches a lot now. He watches your figure disappear from his sight.

His body was tense.

His mind was trying to memorize what was his plan for tomorrow but it was all wiped down to one thing: (Y/n).

Why was he feeling like this? This was for Totoko-chan, right? When he tries to replace the image of you with Totoko-chan, his feelings turn a bit sick before automatically picturing your face once again.

Oh.

God... how was this gonna work tomorrow?

You dig your feet into your ground, a nervous blush on your cheeks as you lean against the tree. Why did Osomatsu call you out? Was he going to need help shopping?

"Oyyy! (Y/n)-chan!!" Osomatsu calls, gaining your attention. You turn your head as your eyes grow wide. He was wearing a red suit, what was going on?

"Oh wow, Oso! You look great!" You compliment. You felt a bit relieved that the money that you gave him was not spent on Panchinko but on a really great suit. You felt proud of yourself for that one.

Osomatsu giggles, a blush on his cheeks. "Thanks! You look hot too, babe!"

Woah what. You feel your cheeks redded at the sudden nickname, "W-Woah, where did that come from?" You ask, but secretly, you really liked it.

Osomatsu rubs his index finger under his nose. "Hehe, just thought I'd try it out."

You smile before you tug on his suit, "Not that I'm complaining, but why are you wearing your suit now? You should take it for Totoko-chan later today." You note, crossing your arms.

Osomatsu's cheeks dust with pink, "Oh... it's nothing really. Don't mind me." He says, shaking his head. "Okay...?"

He clears his throat, "Okay, let's go, I'm going to take you somewhere where you haven't been before. It's gonna be great!" He laughs, his hand gripping on your wrist gently before tugging you forward, making you run with him.

Shock is the only thing you can really feel at this moment. But nonetheless, you really enjoyed it.

"How'd you reserve such a restaurant like this?" You say, sitting down at the table where the server led the two of you too.

Osomatsu giggles, "Secret, babe."

You blush again, "But I thought this was for Totoko."

Osomatsu's eyes widen when you mention her, trying to find his words, "...I'm just trying to pay you back."

"Oh! Well, you didn't really need to go this far, you know?" You smile at him.

Smile at the appropriate times

Osomatsu smiles at you, and shakes his head, "Nah, you deserve this. Besides, you've been too nice for a NEET like me."

"Wow, that is the first time you really admitted that you're a NEET." You raise your brows at him.

He stammers for a bit, "Well, I don't know. It just slipped out, babe." His poor excuse made you giggle at his awkwardness.

A server comes to your table as the both of you order, with smiles on your faces.

Silence grows between the two of you, as Osomatsu can feel his feat sweat as he fumbles with his suit.

Start conversations

"So um, (Y/n)-chan," Osomatsu starts, clearing his throat. "How are things lately?"

"Um? We just hung out yesterday. But I guess things are well. How about you? Ready to confess to Totoko later today?" You ask, leaning into the table, taking your drink straw in your mouth.

He feels himself grow uneasier by the second, he didn't want to spend the whole date... wait date? Yeah! Date! The thought was burned into his head as his cheeks flare up a shade of red. "Y-Yeah! I'm so r-ready!"

"Are... you okay?" You ask, leaning up, sitting straight.

"Yeah, sorry about that."

"Don't worry about it."

He dares himself to look up at you in the eyes as his lips fall into a flat line. He wants to change up the subject about (Y/n) but how?

Listen to what she has to say, and don't question too much about her.

'Right, right.' He thinks to himself, confidence coming back to him. "I'm just wondering, what are some random facts about you?" He blurts out.

You blink, "Umm... well, I really like (favorite food), and I enjoy (favorite hobby), and hang out with you if that counts as a random fact, haha." You laugh.

'Was that a flirt? Was she flirting?' Osomatsu questions himself, his eyes locked on your joyed expression, admiring your amused face.

"What about you? What are some facts about you that I don't know?"

Osomatsu yelps, realizing that you were asking him a question, "Oh um... I did... I did ballet as a child--"

You burst out laughing, "Oh my god really?"

"Heyyy!"

"Don't get me wrong, it really suits you." You say, giggling to yourself.

"Is that an insult? You're so mean, babe!" He crosses his arms, making you laugh even more.

"No! No, I'm sorry! Please continue." You encourage.

Osomatsu huffs, "I'm really good at shooting games at the arcade."

"Ooh, that's pretty cool! I'm not that bad at those games."

He smiles, "And um... I don't know what else there is, haha~" He puts an arm behind his head, laughing it off.

"Don't worry about it." You say, laughing with him.

The server soon comes with the food, as the two of you dine in, conversing in conversations and having good laughs. He was doing a good job avoiding the subject of Totoko because he remembers these tips:

"Man I'm stuffed!" Osomatsu says, stretching.

"Same." You whine, walking out of the restaurant.

"Their food was top notch, would go there again if I had money again." His remark caused you to laugh.

"Where'd you get the money anyway?"

Osomatsu freezes up, "You..."

"Eh? Me? I thought you used it for the suit!"

"No, no, my dad came with me and bought me a suit to dress more appropriately." He says, rubbing his finger under his nose.

"Ahh, okay." It made more sense how a high-quality suit was bought more than 10,000 yen.

"Let's go, I wanna show you something," Osomatsu says, taking your hand into his. His hands were no longer clammy, it was soft. You were glad that he listened to you.

The two of you walked, hand in hand, listening to the crisp air as you walked down the sidewalk. The atmosphere wasn't awkward, so Osomatsu didn't bring up any conversations.

The two of you stopped at the park before he invites you to sit down on the bench with him. You smile before sitting down close to him, his hand still in yours.

"Woah, the stars look so pretty tonight." You say, looking up. Osomatsu looks up at you before gulping, a blush on his cheeks. His hands begin to grow sweaty as he holds yours a bit tighter.

You turn to him with a smile on your face, making him blush. "Thank you so much for taking me out today, Oso. I really appreciated it." You giggle, caushing him to struggle to find his words.

You looked so pretty in the moonlight.

Your smile.

Your eyes.

Your personality.

You were beautiful.

He gulps.

Confess when you feel it in your gut and she has your attention

"(Y/n)-chan," he calls, putting his free hand on top of the hand that was holding his other hand. "I need to tell you something."

"Yes, Oso?"

He feels his heart hammer out of his chest before he sucks in a breath, "I... I really like you! Please go out on a date with me again!" He shuts his eyes and places his forehead on your folded hands, bowing.

"I know I asked you for help about Totoko-chan, but I realized..." He raises his head, nervous tears in his eyes, "That I like you! Not Totoko-chan." He halts, "Please!"

Your eyes were wide as you stare at Osomatsu with your lips agape. You struggled to find words. But the only thing that comes in your mind repeatedly.

'Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit, holy, shit--'

You feel his hands grow loose on yours, realizing that you were frozen up for took long. You quickly grab his hands again before making him face you, "Of course! Osomatsu! I'd love to date you!" You yell in his face, releasing all your built-up feelings for him, not knowing how to fully express it.

The next second, you feel yourself being lifted in the air, Osomatsu's arms on your waist and spins you around, him crying out in happiness. He drops you gently on the ground before he pulls you into a hug, and kisses your temple before screaming out, "Thank you so much Akatsuka-sensei!!!"

The Matsus’ Flaw: In A Relationship

There’s many deal breakers in a relationship. Many of them can be serious red flags and some of them are minor things, like flaws that they can’t change or refuse to. In any case, there are reasons and whichever they are doesn’t matter as you can end a relationship at any time.

Osomatsu’s flaw is his gambling. Its also a major red flag, especially since he seems to think its okay to take money from his brothers to do so. If the relationship were to progress into marriage, that’s definitely something that needs to be resolved and discussed. Because if it ever became a problem that interfered with your lives, then that’s something you can leave him to deal with alone, help, or divorce if you are married.

Karamatsu’s flaw is basically not standing up for himself. Everyone he can protect, but who’s protecting him? He’s a sweet man and keen on helping others if possible. But its so easy to walk all over him and take advantage. It’d be so easy to guilt trip him into doing something he may have wanted to say no. This isn’t necessarily a deal breaker to some but others think differently. He’d be looked down upon as weak and a pushover. He’d be characterized as someone’s who easy to manipulative.

Choromatsu’s flaw may as well be his adoration for Nyaa-chan and impulse spending on her merchandise. Adoration may not be the right word for his ‘admiration’ of her. Infatuation or obsession may work better. This could be a deal breaker for those who don’t like Nyaa-chan or even those who do. Because it could start out innocently but then he’s forgetting anniversaries, birthdays, family events, dates, and anything else, all in favor of his favorite idol. It would make you question if he loves you or if he loves Nyaa-chan more than you. And you’ll be competing with someone you shouldn’t even have to. And the impulsive spending can become a problem because his wants will outweigh the needs.

Ichimatsu’s flaw would be his lack of communication and his inability of controlling/expressing his emotions. With lots of relationships, there comes some form miscommunication. Whether you misheard your SO and did Y when they wanted you to do X or not being clear enough. Point is communication is key. Ichimatsu seems like someone who has a hard time communicating and also expressing himself. If he’s angry, he may just stay angry the whole day and probable doesn’t want to talk about what made him angry in the first place. To some, this isn’t really okay. Because if he gets angry or upset with you and doesn’t want to talk when you do, he’ll just stonewall you. 

Jyushimatsu’s flaw is his love, care and obsession with baseball. Basically think of how I explain Choromatsu’s. They both fit with each other, even though they have different hobbies. Having hobbies and stuff is good when its healthy. Obsessing over the hobby is where it can get bad because all that focus, time, and attention he puts into it, he could have put into the relationship.

Todomatsu’s flaw is his obsession with social media. If you’re anything like me or someone who doesn’t necessarily likes social media, then this is a total deal breaker. Todomatsu seems like the type of person to never stop posting about the things going on in his life. For some, it wouldn’t be so bad if you’ve made clear wishes that you would rather if he doesn’t post about you or any problems you guys may face in your relationship. Because why have internet strangers all up in your business? But if he disregards this, then what’s the point of continuing said relationship in fear of some stranger thinking you’re the bad guy?
