👾 ───── *ೃ ‍୨ EVERYTHING CANON IN THE HASHTAG MINIVERSE: A DETAILED EXPLANATION OF ALL THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW.

Plotlines, plotlines and even more plotlines! At first I thought a combined piece of all the writing pieces that focused or circled around these plots would be a good idea, but then I realized, It’d be better to have them layed out like this so it’s easier to understand!

CLEM X YUAN: THE PROBLEMS THAT COME WITH DATING YOUR BEST FRIEND’S BROTHER.

A little backstory is needed on this one. So, I used to have a piece up about Yuan (@stariified) and Liling’s complicated relationship but I removed it because I didn’t think it was that necessary. It briefly detailed a situation that confirmed Liling’s hatred for Yuan completely.

Liling used to be bullied relentlessly whilst in school, when on the other hand, Yuan was absolutely loved by everyone. He was never really a very brotherly figure to her and often ignored or pretended like she didn’t exist when they were near each other. To wrap up the piece quickly, Liling ended up in the hospital due to some…reasons, and a bigger grudge on Yuan than she did before.

Fast forward a couple of years, they’re past debut and Clem has replaced Yoora as Liling’s so called ‘best-friend’ (I’ll get into that later) and now they’re closer than ever before. But instead of following the ‘siblings are COMPLETELY off limits’ rule (I mean, you would think so after seeing how that trope ends) Clem took it upon herself to get drunk (She was actually pretty sober) and hook up with Yuan after a party at the Comet House (Will be explained at a later date, just know Melody Media owns the place)

Liling ended up finding out through Yoora (Jealous + snitch alert if you ask me) and she confronted Clem which basically was just Liling being super pissed and Clem being super unbothered. Liling eventually got over it but she still absolutely despises Yuan and Clem absolutely loves Yuan! We don’t know if Yuan really likes her like that yet. Great Dynamic!

LILING X KIJUNG X ELIAS X DAWN + JISEOK: OKAY WAIT, WHAT’S GOING ON HERE AND WHY ARE THERE SO MANY NAMES?

Once again, a backstory is most definitely needed and is very important to understanding this plot, it gets really complicated. First, let’s address the people involved. Liling is obviously a member of hashtag, we know her (hopefully?). Kijung and Jiseok (an honorable mention in the story) are apart of a group called Everlast under Melody Media. Cody’s in the same group as them if anyone remembers him, so that might ring some bells.

Anyways, I was planning to make a blog for them so that’s coming soon! Back to the point, Kijung and Jiseok are members of the same group they know eachother blah blah blah. Liling & Jiseok are like two peas in a pod, great friends, whatever you wanna call it but Kijung and Liling have a lot of history. They used to date, let’s say from 2022 - the middle of 2023, after that the relationship ended they’re still friends but there’s some tension. Moving on! We have Elias…he’s meant to be Liling’s manager for when she has solo projects and schedules but then they ended up ‘falling in love’ and started ‘dating’ in October of 2023.

I say ‘dating’ because they weren’t really, that’s just what Liling liked to call it. Two months later they end up breaking up (???) because he cheated on her with one of Melody Media’s creative directors, Dawn Wolfe. I love Dawn so much but she was not cool for that. Obviously, Liling still loves Elias very much, peer pressure (Clem) just told her that she should break up with him otherwise she would look stupid (she would). In the piece i wrote for this, both Kijung and Elias were about to throw themselves onto a road for her (not literally) and Elias ends up meeting up with Liling whilst he’s drunk and Liling finally decides to think for herself. She just tells him to stay away from her and their story ends there.

I think this is the most important plot because it’s basically the reason why Liling is on a hiatus, i’m sure you’ve seen the articles (hopefully??) and she isn’t really acting like she’s on a hiatus but she formally is. Hashtag will probably have a full album before she’s back so let’s say the hiatus will probably last a couple more months.

MINSEO AND HER TWITCH SCANDAL: IVE TRIED SO MANY TIMES TO EXPLAIN THIS, SO HERE WE GO!

I’ve had so many variations of this plot that I don’t even know what to say (Lies, I do). Firstly, it was going to be Minseo’s plot, then it was Yewon’s (she’s not important anymore) and now it’s back to being Minseo’s. It’ll stay that way, her being a twitch streamer has always belonged to her (runs through her veins!) Anyways, Minseo used to run an account called SEOTALK (there’s also been many variations of the account name, but this one makes the most sense) and it actually ended up doing really well, better than what Minseo was expecting. She’d always wanted to be ‘famous’ she just didn’t want her face to be the main focus point.

So, she used a mask and wore these thick glasses every time she streamed to somewhat hide her identity (she did not do a very good job. at all) and nobody questioned a thing. Sometimes, Minseo would just talk to her screen for a few hours but her most popular streams where the ones where she would play horror games. People just seemed to love her reactions and commentary so much that I think it got to her head. Minseo took this opportunity to incorporate other things into her stream, and that is where the downfall of SEOTALK began. Soon enough, she began to talk about idol groups and answer controversial questions about them, and oh was it bad.

She had no filter (okay blunt queen) and would just run her mouth for hours and hours until she felt like she couldn’t open her mouth anymore. At the time, there were mixed opinions. Some people thought that her comments weren’t necessary and others found it extremely funny or extremely insensitive, inappropriate and offensive. Minseo ended up abandoning the account for a little while and then she debuted, so the account and its streams had to be deleted but obviously, people had recorded them and some were still uploaded to youtube by other accounts. A few months after Hashtag’s debut an article about who SEOTALK was came out and it revealed to the public that it was of course, Hashtag’s Minseo.

This was Hashtags biggest scandal at the time and almost sent them into ruins (ALMOST). I was going to make this plot part of a youtube series that detailed all the scandals Melody Media had kept hidden, but that wouldn’t make much sense, you know? Minseo had to issue a formal apology and everyone eventually got over it after the initial shock. It’s an inside joke in the fandom now, but Minseo now refuses to acknowledge it.

CLEM AND YOORA HATE EACHOTHER, WELL JUST YOORA ACTUALLY, HERES WHY.

There actually is no reason, no major event that caused them to argue, Yoora just genuinely does not like Clem. She hasn’t liked her since 2018 but she was able to put it aside and work with her without any passive aggressiveness shining through her cute little facade. That was until Clem slowly started to seep her way into Liling’s life like an annoying little fly (Yoora’s words, not mine) to the point where Clem ended up replacing Yoora’s best friend spot which quite literally, ticked her off.

Now, Yoora makes it her life’s goal to piss Clem off at any possible time she can. Shoving her, tripping her up, making sure her food is burnt, like kid stuff. Because she’s a child. Anyways, Clem doesn’t feel the same way, she just does not care about a lot of things in life so why should she care about Yoora, of all people? Clem just simply finds it funny so their beef is practically one-sided. Liling has no comment she’s just really enjoying being the center of attention!

YOORA X HANJAE. OH AND WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON WITH YOORA?

There are already a lot of posts that explain the YooJae (Yoora and Hanjae + find him @/intoloopin) dynamic/situation, there’s not really much needed here, so i’ll link them here, here and here if you haven’t already seen them. I’m re-explaining in more simpler terms if you don’t understand. All you need to know is that their relationship started off as a fake one, a beneficial stunt for two best friends if you will, and it was quite successful for the pair. Then the rumors started to circulate and a twitter account exposed their fake relationship with a thread. Responses were interesting, to say the least but that wasn’t their main goal, so not much attention was directed towards pleasing the public. One thing lead to another, a lot of silence and tears (On Yoora’s behalf), and they began to actually date (FOR REAL. LIKE FOR REAL).

Now that their dating is basically publicized, like it was lowkey obvious they did not do a good job of hiding it, Yoora is literally not allowed to hang out with anyone anymore else. The media already thinks she ‘needs help’ so people are like “okay why do you have friends if you have a boyfriend” (THEIR WORDS not mine.) so she’s been in hiding for a very long time. Now for the more recent Yoora news, she posted some stuff on her private instagram (post is here) that was very…ominous. It has a lot to do with something i’ll explain later (in the ‘yoora’s kicked out of the group??’ section) but just know she’s like super close to taking a break (hashtag disbandment when?? joking!) and will most likely end up with no lines in their next comeback (HER CHOICE!)

ANNIE AND HER SIBLING DYNAMIC + HER CRAZY FAMILY DRAMA

So, Annie has 3 other siblings: Melanie, Milo and Melodie (I am not creative with names) and Milo is her twin brother, surprise! Now, all their names start with m’s on purpose, no, it’s not because I was lazy. It shows how the other 3 siblings are much more connected and how Annie is always left out, even when mentioning names. Also points to the fact that her parents did not care for her as much as they did for her other siblings and couldn’t be bothered to come up with a name even a little related. (okay maybe her name is a little related since her sister’s names end in ‘ie’ as well. ignore that.) But Milo hates Annie.

He hates his whole family but finds a special place in his heart to care for Melanie and Melodie but when it comes to Annie it’s just pure hatred (I have a very common pattern of siblings hating each other. no family can exist happily here) and he couldn’t stand the sight of her. There have been some times where Milo has taken upon himself to care for Annie, but other than that, it is not all sunshine’s and rainbows out here. When I was writing, I thought that I could have this moment where they finally understood each other and that did happen but it was a little slow and not how i imagined it. So, I think it’s better for them to understand each other but not be super close, they’ll get to that point later. Favoritism is definitely apparent in Annie’s family and she is not a favorite.

YUNHEE AND REIKO ARE THE ONLY SANE ONES HERE, THEY KEEP TO THEMSELVES. MOSTLY.

I think not! I just haven’t developed them as much as I have developed everyone else, and that’s totally fine! Not everyone in the group needs to have something going on, but I’ll probably find some way to sneak them in and allow them to have bigger roles in the cupidverse. (yes, that’s what i’m calling it. stay tuned something BIG is coming. not really, i’m just making a company blog…) Yunhee is already involved in the ‘Myungjae & Minseo’ plot as a protagonist. She needs to stop them from getting what they deserve! (love) Reiko is just an angel, truly, I love her but there’s not much she can do for me as of now. When I figure something out for these two, just know it’ll be absolutely diabolical.

KANG MINAH. UHM WHOS THAT? NEVER HEARD OF HER? WELL YOU’RE ABOUT TO!

Originally, Minah was going to be a Yunjin fc (kep1er) but I thought she would be a better fit for Annie so I need a faceclaim for her later, not important right now! She was basically a pre-debut member that trained with Hashtag, expecting to debut with them. Clearly, she didn’t, but she might pop up somewhere else in the cupidverse (maybe…) Minah was actually a very known trainee under Melody Media, but not for good reasons. She was (affectionately) nicknamed ‘Baby faced Bitch’ because she had a baby face and was not very nice to anyone, to put it lightly. Liling looked up to her a lot and Minah was usually her sweetest when with Liling.

There would be the occasional break down where she would snap at Liling but other than that, she was pretty good to her. The rest of Hashtag hated her, especially Reiko. Reiko is the peacemaker of the group, that’s what she likes to call herself, and she’s generally level-headed. So when a generally not level-headed person comes along, it’s obvious they’ll struggle to be friends. And they did struggle. The only person defending Minah was Liling and it tore the group apart, before they could even debut. Melody Media took it upon themselves to remove her from the pre-debut group (they’ve never done such a thing, surprising) and the group went on without her. Minah’s a favorite so she’s definitely coming back, just not with Hashtag.

OK WAIT, THERES MORE. YOORA WAS ABOUT TO BE KICKED OUT OF THE GROUP?

I didn’t develop this plot too much but it is still very much canon. The piece on this plot explains a lot but the basics are that Insu (Melody Media Executive) and Liling are eating lunch together (he decided to break the news over some burgers??) because Insu and Yoora have been entangled in some sort of scandal (I didn’t really elaborate as to what kind) which has lead Misook (Melody Media Ceo) to consider removing Yoora from the group to minimize the backlash. Liling tries to argue for her and she thinks it’s unfair since their manager, Nari has been sleeping with practically the whole company (like literally, and it’s not good. i don’t get the appeal) but she hasn’t lost her job.

Obviously, Insu is stunned by this and says nothing (he’s not very bright) so Liling talks some more and they agree on a statement being released which clears Yoora of all rumors and she gets to stay, yay! This affects Yoora’s mental health though, which caused her to spiral, like I mentioned earlier. She has a tough time dealing with a lot of her emotions and just blurts everything out into an instagram post leaving all her close friends confused. As of now, Yoora’s much happier than she was last year but she’s still unsure about her place in Hashtag.

MINSEO X MYUNGJAE: SHY BOY X REALLY ANNOYING AND WEIRD LOUD GIRL!

Everlast mention! (AGAIN! i love those guys) Myungjae (Reese) and Minseo are a whole thing, I don’t know what type of thing but they are definitely a thing. I was going to pair Yunhee and Myungjae together but they’re just mc partners for Inkigayo (I was gonna make this whole post for them but I was like no, not important enough). Minseo is very jealous of Yunhee, and the fact that Yunhee is better than her in all aspects doesn’t help. She thinks Myungjae might end up with Yunhee and I think so too (joking!).

There’s a piece that explains their relationship pretty well (here) and it’s the only piece I have up (more coming soon, i swear) because it’s the only piece i’ve written that is completely accurate to the plot and isn’t all jumbled up everywhere. He’s whipped for her, she’s whipped for him boring stuff (joke, again!) but there’s not much going on with them right now, they will be expanded on in the future and i have some…great and definitely not life altering things planned for them!

The Only One || JJK || Ch. 45 (Epilogue)

Pairings: mafia!jk x fem!reader

Genre: smut, angst, mafia, contract relationship

Warnings: Prostitution, torture, blood, use of drugs and weapons

Summary: You've always wished for a better life. Every single day at work, you were hoping something would change. Although you didn't think that change would come in the form of one mysterious man and a contract.

His controlling and selfish behaviour only wanted to keep you away from any other man that wasn't him, and you only had to wait for him.

Too bad you really thought you'd be smarter than Jeon Jungkook.

MASTERLIST

Over the last techno tracks of the playlist, drowned by the thick walls separating the nightclub from the basement, the dry and hollow sound of the wooden bat against the stomach and chest of the man collapsing on the floor echoed between the four walls.

—You really thought there would be no consequences? —Minho carried the wooden stick, placing it over his shoulder while he looked at the man kneeling in front of him— What did you expect? —he asked, squatting in front of him— Give us the money.

—I promise I don't have it —the man whimpered, moving his gaze down.

—You don't have it? —Minho was getting ready to use his bat again, before he was stopped.

He recognized that thick voice, which immediately made him drop the stick to the side of his body before he turned to his boss. Jungkook appeared through the darkness, followed by two of his men as he strutted his way next to Minho.

—So you don't have my money? Yet you kept my drugs? —Jungkook raised his eyebrow, looking down at the man— Look at me when I'm talking to you.

His jaw clenched as his fingers tangled on the greasy locks of his black hair, pulling him up and forcing his scared eyes into his cold gaze.

—Je... Je... Jeon, I promise I tried to, but I wasn't able to get people to buy it —he managed to speak while his lips trembled—. Please, don't do anything to me. I promise I'll work harder if you give me a second chance.

Jungkook bent over, slightly but enough to be heard without speaking too loudly, smirking maliciously.

—I'm not the one you should be scared about.

Kijung looked up at Jungkook, unable to hold back his lips from pouting when he heard that sentence. Everybody in the room knew what it meant. And the fact that it wasn't just one or the other, but the two of them dealing with the issue, showed how serious it actually was.

Every man in the room stood straight when they heard her sighing. Every man, except Jungkook. He looked at Y/n with a proud smile, waiting for her to join him, at the same time he stepped back slightly to allow her to get control of the situation.

—You had two months to sell what we gave you, what are you talking about? —she questioned, relaxed— Either our product isn't good enough or you aren't doing your job properly. So which one would it be?

Kijung was unable to hold her gaze, dropping it back to the floor as he tried to keep her from seeing his tears flooding from his eyes. Y/n felt her patience vanishing slowly, unable to hold back her fingers from hooking on his jaw to force him to look at her.

—I will guess you've been trying your best, because not only we trusted in you, but we gave you a business you feed from, right? Because if you weren't doing your job right, that'd be like an insult for us. So I'll assume the problem is with what we sell.

Jungkook looked at her from behind, impressed by how her Korean kept improving every day, but also finding himself admiring the woman she had become. He had been witness to similar situations a few times, but he was still surprised at how the sweet and kind soul she was behind closed doors was also that tough and intolerant freak that was about to teach Kijung a lesson.

Aware of where it was heading, he motioned Minho to open one of the small bags. Taking a small metallic straw from her pocket, she handed it to Kijung.

—Take it or I swear I'll mop the counter with your head until you snort it clean —Y/n warned him.

His hands trembled before he took the straw, getting up under the supervision of everyone in the room, heading to the messy amount of coke that was poured over the surface. He was about to make some lines with it, but Y/n stopped him.

—Snort until I tell you to stop —she instructed.

A thick gulp was visible on Kijung's throat, clearing it up before he took a deep breath, barely inserting the straw in the hole of his nose and starting to snort the white dust they had prepared for him. She was supporting her weight on her hand, comfortably resting on the edge of the counter, a few steps away from him.

As she motioned him to stop, Jungkook walked between them, holding Kijung down, and keeping him from taking the straw out.

—Is our shit good? —Jungkook pressed his head down, making the metallic stick sink a bit deeper into his nostrils— Or is it so bad that you'll have a problem selling it?

Kijung shook his head in panic, feeling Jungkook's hand down his nape pressing his head into the counter, letting him feel the straw sinking deeper, millimeter by millimeter. And he'd have gone on if it hadn't been for Y/n patting his back gently, reminding him they couldn't waste any more time there.

—You better sell it all out and have our money by the end of the week.

Again leaving it all on Minho's hands, Y/n and Jungkook left together, hopping inside the car they came in. Y/n kept checking her phone, huffing when she realized the time it was. It was already past eight in the morning, and she wasn't ready. She was already seeing themselves being late to their own wedding.

✸ ✸ ✸

Opposite to Y/n worries, they both were on time. He had it easy to get ready, but even she managed to get everything done on time.

And for sure she was ready.

There was something indescribable in the way she looked that day as she showed up with that long beautiful dress. Y/n had always been gorgeous in his eyes, but there was a brightness in her in that moment that he wasn't able to describe. And that same brightness made him hopeful, ready for the future they were heading to together. Y/n felt something similar, but her feelings were more related to the way he looked at her. His eyes shined bright under the lights, and there was a shy smile dying to burst all over his face that confirmed to her how everything they went through was worth it. And how everything they'd live together would always make them stronger.

All that ceremony was simply a way to let everyone know what they already had proved to each other.

Although maybe she needed to vocalize it to be completely convinced everyone understood.

"My whole life I've been looking for a place to stay, a place where I could feel safe. I've been looking at all the wrong places, not knowing what was exactly what I needed. Until you showed up in my life. I know we didn't have it easy, but it only made us grow closer to each other. It made us realize how much we're willing to risk to be together, and that's one of the purest ways someone has ever proved how much they love me. You showed me the meaning of home, of dying to run back to that roof that kept me away from everything that hurted me. You made sure to let me know I would never be alone as long as you were with me, and I want you to know that you will never be alone as long as I live. Today, we promised each other to keep by each other's side until we die, but I want to let you know that it won't be like that. Because this isn't something that could last only one lifetime. Even after we die, in all the lives I have to go through, I will always find you. It doesn't matter what happens, you will forever be my safe place".

Jungkook had tried to hold himself back from getting up, but he wasn't able to, standing up to kiss her forehead and wipe some of her tears away. Y/n hardly ever was the one dedicating that type of words to him, it was always the other way around, but the fact that she took the courage to say all those words to him, in front of all the guests... He indeed had no words to describe all the love that was pouring from the bottom of his heart.

He barely moved away from her throughout the party, which was more related to keeping the connections they already had than actually celebrating their union past the two hours. It certainly was one of the perks of working with her: she'd be by his side, and she'd be aware of every business he was in.

She also knew all the guests that were in the party, going from the Bangtan members to smaller families in Korea, including the Choi family, that agreed to go to build those buildings Jungho had tried to destroy months back.

As she mentioned once: they were both a team.

But even then, and especially that day, he couldn't wait until the party was finally over so they both would be completely alone. Ever since the day started, they had been surrounded by people. And, even if they were by each other, it felt completely distant at some point into the event. Y/n had been with her husband the whole part of the morning and afternoon yet, except for the slow dance they shared together, it didn't feel intimate.

A pair of hands trapped her hips from behind, breaking her short time alone by herself outside. Y/n smiled when she was aware of Jungkook behind her, slowly moving her arms around her body to pull her back against his chest.

—What's my wife doing alone here?

Her head cozied on his shoulder, rubbing her cheek against his jaw as she breathed in deeply, feeling completely relaxed in his arms.

—Were you planning to run away from me? —he joked with a cheeky smile— I'm afraid it's too late.

—It just... doesn't feel real.

While looking at the lights that emerged from the tallest buildings in the city, she thought that maybe life was treating her a little bit too good out of nowhere. After so long, she finally had everything she could ever have dreamed of.

—This is real, babe —he kissed her exposed collarbone—. This is our life —he hugged her tight.

Y/n turned to him, wrapping her arms around her shoulders while his hands kept their place on her hips.

—We're already done suffering, Y/n —he assured her—. And I'll be by your side to make sure you never feel any pain again. I promise.

Before he was able to bend over to kiss her, a loud whine caught her attention, making her move her head back to look at the direction that sound came from. Jungkook tried to draw her attention back to him, but it quickly went back in that direction.

—Sounds like a dog —she frowned.

—You won't stay still until I go to see what it is, right?

Y/n didn't need to do much more other than smiling to answer. With a huff, Jungkook motioned her to stay in the terrace, as he stepped forward into the darkness, following the invisible path the noise was creating in front of him. He headed downstairs, hearing those sounds closer with every step he took, until the light from his phone found a pair of puppy eyes in the darkness, in between two cars that were parked outside the building. It only took Jungkook to take one step closer to notice how one of his paws was trapped in the gate that limited the area, seeing the small dog battling with the metallic bars to get out.

Y/n, who had been waiting for him, looked at the way his flashlight moved among the part least lighted in the parking lot, feeling a bit anxious until she saw him walking back upstairs with her.

With the difference that he was bringing something with him.

The brown dog, with big floppy ears, was cuddling, scared, to Jungkook. It wasn't too big, and it was obvious it was still a puppy.

—It was trapped there —Jungkook pointed with his head back to where he was—. And it seems like it has no collar or anything.

Y/n was too busy petting the dog to care about anything he was saying at that point, smiling foolishly at the small animal.

—You're so beautiful, aren't you? —she said with a baby voice— Yes, you are.

—I'll tell someone to take it to the animal shelter.

But the whine that came out of his wife's lips stopped him from even thinking to move.

—Bam has no business in an animal shelter.

—Bam? —Jungkook frowned— Did you already find him a name? —he was surprised by how fast she acted.

—I think we should keep him —she ignored him—. Let's adopt him.

—These beasts get big as hell —he insisted—. He won't be this cute forever.

—Come on, love —she playfully pinched his arm—. He will be our spoiled kid.

The dog didn't flinch when she took him from his arms, carrying in hers as if she was carrying a baby. Actually, the dog seemed even more relaxed and comfortable after she picked him up.

Her smile was so wide, and it radiated that vast amount of happiness he knew he wouldn't be able to ignore. He'd kill and die to keep that smile on her forever, he couldn't see why he wouldn't let a dog in the family.

Whatever made her happy, he'd give it to her without a second thought, just the same way she was willing to do so.

BACKGROUND/HEADCANONS.

O pequeno Kijung sempre teve o favoritismo dos pais depois de seu nascimento. Porém, com a irmã mais velha entretanto, ele sempre teve um quê de orgulho e que deveria ser melhor que ela em quase tudo.

Não que os pais não o amasse, claro que não, ele sempre teve amor e carinho e tudo que os pais podiam oferecer. Mas de algum modo, sua vida parecia girar em torno dos feitos que a irmã conquistava e no que ela era boa, assim a competição interna que ele tinha com ela cresceu e deixou de ser a rixa de criança e passou para algo cada vez maior e mais sério.

Se Yoojung fizesse natação, ele se dedicava ao basquete e se tornava o melhor jogador; se a irmã fizesse aulas de dança, ele fazia teatro e jazz para poder impressionar todos a sua volta, e mesmo que a mais velha nunca percebesse a competição infinita do irmão, tudo piorou quando ela foi chamada para uma audição e passou. Kijung tinha um certo desdém pela carreira da irmã, agora o foco dos pais seria completamente nas conquistas dela e não nas suas! Ele precisava estar páreo com ela não importava o quê…E assim, ele conseguiu uma audição para a Cultural Media e passou. Teria seu debut em breve e precisava de uma persona que cativasse o público e que o tornasse popular na indústria.

Seus trabalhos em atuação mostravam que ele seria tão bom quanto era cantando, deixando à mostra sempre que falava com os pais, os certificados e até as notas dos produtores e managers. A única coisa que o irritava era ter que ainda sim, ser comparado a irmã mais velha e em como ela havia sido escolhida pelo público para fazer parte do Timeless, enquanto o mais novo só podia imaginar quando este tivesse seu debut.

* ´ 𓈀 WICTHERED : EVERLAST … a nine-membered fictional boy group under melody media, created by the mid 2018 survival show, EVERLASTING. the group officially debuted on november 20th, 2018 but originally debuted in JULY of that year.

after their ORIGINAL debut, they were met with a small amount of success, just barely being able to gain enough traction to allow MELODY MEDIA to continue promoting them, instead of the idea of completely scrapping the group and making a new lineup based off of the other trainees on the show. this never happened, however, as their DEBUT song was removed from all platforms and became inaccessible to the public before their now widely recognized debut with the single ‘SUPERHUMAN’ was released in november of that same year.

EVERLAST are known for their unique sound and are often referred to as the boy group who ‘make the noisiest music ever’ and ‘can barely produce two beats’. despite their controversial reputation, EVERLAST have now become a household name in the music industry despite releasing a failed debut and a few singles that only attracted crickets.

In Minseo’s mind, there is nothing that could ever be more embarrassing than socialising with people who you know really well, and to her, Myungjae was one of those people.

The problem wasn’t how close they were, but the tension that came with it. This was exactly why she constantly kept her distance from him during company outings, meetings and collaborations, or even if they would happen to bump into each other in the hallways.

Everyone seemed to claim that Minseo didn’t like him, but that wasn’t it. It was just that Minseo was very sure she liked him.

At first, she would attempt to wave to him or give him small nods here and there, and usually he would reciprocate, smiling widely at the sight of her. But recently, Jae would ten times out of ten quickly shut her advances down by urgently looking the other way or awkwardly avoiding eye contact, leading Minseo to finally give up and mirror the same uncomfortable energy.

It wasn’t as if she wasn’t comfortable with the rest of his group, in fact, Hashtag and Everlast were quite close, if that were the right word to use. So, there wasn’t really a definite reason for Myungjae to act this way but Minseo had just chalked it down to him being socially awkward—Or something like that.

Now that all that information had been explained, it would be a little weird to find Minseo perching on one end of the leather couch that had a few tiny rips scattered across its surface with Jae laid out on the other side, piercing two large holes into her head due to the way he was staring intensely at her.

Unfortunately, this was exactly the type of situation Minseo had gotten herself into. Originally, she was hoping to find Jiseok or even Kijung inside the small dorm, since she was most familiar with them, but her hopes had soon been diminished after she was told that the rest of the group were out, doing…something.

“I mean, you can still come in—if you want.” He murmured, slightly stepping to the side to further his invitation. “It’s just, kinda quiet here. I’m not used to quiet.” Jae gently scratches his neck, his eyes averting their attention elsewhere. Minseo blankly stared at him. He seemed nervous. He had barely given her enough time to think, let alone answer his question before he began to explain himself, when there wasn’t really much that needed explaining.

Minseo interpreted his short sentence to mean a simple, ‘Hey, do you want to hang out with me? None of my first choices are here, and you don't seem too bad’. She didn’t really mind, though. Minseo had nothing better to do. “Sure, Myungjae.” She couldn't bring herself to address him by his nickname ‘Jae’ that everyone, including her (well, only in her head), had always used because it simply sounded too unnatural coming from her lips.

There was also the fact that they were not basically strangers, they had normally been able to hold a proper conversation with each other before this, so there was no reason for Minseo not to feel as if she couldn’t shorten his name affectionately.

And that’s what led them to the current scene they were in, the strange pair struggling to come up with something to say to the other when the blaring sound of whatever show that was playing on the flat screen and the loud silence was more than enough background noise to keep them silent.

The look Myungjae was giving Minseo, was making her feel a little insecure. Maybe he didn’t actually want her there and she was dreaming when he gently smiled at her and grabbed her hand, before turning around and locking the door once she was safely inside. Or maybe, there was something wrong with her. It could’ve been her hair and the way it clumsily fell over her eyes or the small cut on her forehead that stuck out weirdly and didn’t match the rest of her face.

Minseo had always been told that she could at least try and put more effort into her appearance to be appealing to others, but she never really listened, it made her feel unwanted. She let those thoughts pass, and settled on the fact that once again, Jae was just miserably awkward. Minseo shifted slightly in her seat and felt Myungjae’s eyes sharply following her closely.

It was a little odd.

She wanted to speak up, but whenever she tried to open her mouth, she would close it again in case she said something that sounded stupid (almost everything that she said was stupid, and Minseo knew that, but that didn’t matter much now) and ended up ruining the silent bond they had.

“Do you—uhm. Do you want to change the channel, or something?” Myungjae asked quietly, his hand lazily gesturing towards the remote that sat between the two.

It was as if her thoughts had been answered.

That, or her efforts had not gone unnoticed by Myungjae and he had decided to end her misery. Even if it was a little embarrassing, she appreciated it. She wasn’t really looking at the screen in front of them, so switching channels didn’t interest her at all, but she had to take her chance and make conversation. “You don’t like Winx Club?” Minseo replied, smiling teasingly. Myungjae looked panicked, clearly not wanting to upset her in any way as his eyes widened and his features stretched out across his face.

“No! Musa’s my favourite. I just didn't know if you liked it. I mean, I did sort of invite you over so it’s your judgement against mine.” He said, eyes looking anywhere and everywhere that wasn’t Minseo’s round-looking face. Cute. She shrugged it off, shaking her head lightly.

“I’ve never met a guy who likes fairies before, it’s new.” Myungjae groaned, covering his face with his hands as he flushed a bright pink. “I’m not weird, or anything. My sister used to watch them a lot when she was younger, so I did too.”

Minseo took this opportunity to shuffle towards Jae, and did so successfully. “I’m not making fun of you, I think it’s pretty cool. Plus, now I have someone to watch it with, my members hate anything magical or anything to do with fantasy and think it’s childish .” She gently pulled his hands away from his face and placed them in his lap, still holding on to them.

She blinked up at him, silently following the movement of his eyes, until they settled on her own. Minseo knew that she shouldn’t try to kiss someone based on the sudden urge to, especially since they had previously been talking about mythical beings for the past ten minutes, but the urge was strong.

Myungjae cleared his throat.

She flinched a little, creating a small gap between their legs and uncomfortably looked off to the side.

She waited a few seconds before raising her voice, slightly. “So, do you have any other hobbies?” Myungjae stared at her, his eyebrows raising slightly the longer he looked. “You can let go now, y’know, unless you don’t want to?” He looked down at their intertwined hands, laughing loudly and began to gently run his fingers across Minseo’s thighs.

Minseo was confused.

She could've sworn this was the same guy who usually almost sprinted away at the sight of her, so why was she the one beginning to get anxious?

“Okay, I’ll take your silence to mean you’re not letting go anytime soon.” She had forgotten to reply to him, it was a bad habit. He continued, “Hm, I mean, I play the guitar...” he trailed off, ceasing all other movements to press lightly on Minseo’s knuckles. “Sometimes. I’m good at it, I’m always busy, so I don’t practise or play too often.” Minseo tried to hide the way her smile broadened at his words and hummed, tight-lipped.

“I like guys who play the guitar.” She stated calmly, an excited glint in her eyes. “I think it’s pretty hot.’

Myungjae’s face flushed again, this time a hot red, but instead of hiding away and choosing to stay quiet to pretend like he didn’t hear what Minseo had said, he quickly leaned in towards her and grinned as he wrapped his arms around her waist, in an attempt to fluster her. “Yeah? You do?”

As much as Minseo would like to say she did quite well and didn’t react, it would be a lie.

She slapped his shoulder lightly, attempting to take it as if it were a joke. She pulled away from him only to turn and rest her head on his shoulder, and he turned back to his original position, his hand still placed on her hip. “Yeah, I do. Now, can we actually look at the screen, please? Bloom’s about to save Sky like the bad bitch she is.”
