It's been 14 years, and I can still remember that night pretty well. We 4 have not had the chance to visit the park(s) together, as a group, since GradNite. And we want hamm. From (just after) Rope Drop (8:15am) to Park Close (12am), riding everything we set out to, ended up getting a walk-in for Lamplight Lounge, and seeing Fantasmic. Disneyland Report: Walls up at Fantasyland and New Year's Festivities

Disneyland was quite busy on February 2nd, despite being the date of the Superbowl and having at least 4 rides down for refurbishment. Many guests were in jerseys or hats that displayed their preferred football team, perhaps indicating they would be watching the game than having fun with family at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

A huge eyesore in the middle of Fantasyland will be there for at least a few weeks as the walls and scrims have gone up around King Arthur Carrousel. It's hard to realize how vital hearing the songs of the carousel and seeing the colors spin are until they are gone, but it makes all the difference. On the construction walls are signs recapping the history of the construction and renovations of the ride. In 1954, Disney scouts located a vintage carrousel in Toronto, Canada. The carrousel was dismantled and shipped to California, where skilled artisans carefully restored it. At Walt's request, workers removed giraffes, deer, and other animals and replaced them with hand-carved horses so that every Guest could ride aboard a galloping steed. reads the sign on King Arthur Carrousel wall

Previous Next Across from the carrousel there are more walls up around Snow White's Scary Adventure. Walls feature art showing the Prince, which could be an indication of the addition of the Prince into the ride itself. The signage indicated the ride will be back in Spring 2020. The walls around Snow White extend around the exterior of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, which is still open.

Previous Next From a fantasy to a nightmare, for some, the Haunted Mansion now has giant scrims blocking the view of Gracey Manor. A faux wrought-iron door blocks the entrance and has several pieces of art depicting the decrepit house as originally designed. A sign here also indicates that the ride will be back up in Spring.

For some reason, the "Stand-by Wait Time" was "A" minutes long.

Previous Next Despite the closure of Haunted Mansion, Port Royal Curios and Curiositiies in New Orleans Square is packed full of fun merchandise, including glow-in-the-dark pins and these odd pins featuring black faced staff from the mansion.

Arriving before Valentine's Day are these adorable Mickey Mouse St. Patrick's Day 2020 plushies. They are priced at $21.99 and found in several stores, but pictured here at Pooh Corner.

Speaking of green, over at The Star Trader there was quite a display of merchandise for The Child AKA Baby Yoda. Not only shirts and spirit jerseys, but phone cases and car magnets. The sweatshirt pictured is priced at $44.99. Hope you brought enough beskar!

Not to be outdone, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge had a familiar droid rolling around with an appearance by R2-D2! Handlers for the droid helped a child send a transmission to General Organa when they weren't clearing a path from guests hoping to get a selfie.

Previous Next Going across the Esplanade into Disney California Adventure, Grizzly River Run is closed for seasonal maintenance, draining most of the river that makes up the ride. The interior of Rushin' River Outfitters is also closed, but some merchandise is available outside their doors.

Mulan's Lunar New Year Procession was a blast! Seeing Mulan and Mushu lead a parade of classic Disney characters in Lunar New Year costumes is really unique. They circle around the back half of the park, beginning and ending right by Paradise Gardens Park. There were also traditional performances involving dragon dancers.

The Festival Merchandise stall was a bit lacking, featuring only generic 2020 apparel available in most other stores.

Over in Paradise Gardens Park there was a beautiful display of guest-created New Year Wishes.

If you're ever in Disney California Adventure, don't forget to say hi to Francisco! One of the most visible Disneyland Cats, they roam around the fenced off area by Grizzly River Run around the corner from Soarin' Around the World.
