Which of the minor jōnin characters who aren't senseis would be the best sensei? Genma, Hayate, Izumo, Kotetsu, Raidou, etc. I think the background jōnin are underappreciated sometimes

Well, not all of them are jonin (some are chunin), so I'm gonna add under the pretense that they either got a lucky promotion or got in trouble, so now they have to deal with the genus sjdjdjdjbd.

Hyūgaclanweek day 7; the last day of the hyuga week, but not the last art with them!

august is rich in events in japan, but one of the most interesting for me is the edogawa fireworks festival, because the fireworks are beautiful, and warm their sparks from a distance in the face, making you hold your breath from an incredible sight! especially if they are reflected in the water, like at the festival itself, and you completely fall into this whirlpool of warm sparks!

let's enjoy the fireworks and the hyuga clan together! because both of these phenomena are beautiful 🎇🪭🌸🎆

The Hyuga clan stuff makes no sense.

Ko Hyuga is apparently a main branch member, but Hizashi, Hiashis twin brother and therefore the son of the former clan head, is not. You are telling me that the twin brother of current clan head and child of former clan head is not, but this random Hyuga is?

By the traditions explained in the manga of the main branch/side branch we get during the Chunnin exams either Hinata or Hanabi should be sealed, depending on which one of them becomes the next clan head. And since Hinata was basically disowned it would most likely be her. And this all also basically implies that the only people who are a part of the main branch are former clan head, current clan head and their heir (the next clan head). But apparantly not because Ko Hyuga.

The Hyuga clan just needed so much more focus and development to make this all make sense. And like I have seen people try and makes sense of this with explanations like Hiashi and Hizashi were twins or the treatment of men and women being different. And like this is interesting, but it’s just assumptions, nothing of this is actually established in the text and it doesn’t help with making sense of the whole situation since it’s not established canon. We don’t know what Kishimoto was thinking, and most likely he wasn’t. And like considering Kishimotos track record with the story it’s probably just unintentionally inconsistent like with most things in Naruto.

Sorry, for ranting. The Hyuga clan just derserved so much better and I think it’s one of the biggest examples of wasted potential in the manga. Like theres just so much potential for different plotlines and interesting characters and we just got nothing.

Headcanon: Hyuga Family Tree

So, for me this is how the tree looks like based on my HC and some others that I have borrowed from the fanonverse I read on many different fanfics, in case someone might find it useful.

Explanation

Main Tree: Main Branch and Branch house main connections:

Elder Hyuga: Hiashi and Hizashi's father

Hiashi's Family: Haruru (Wife, OC based on the anime), Hinata (Eldest daughter), Hanabi (Youngest daughter)

Hizashi's Family: Naomi (Wife, OC, Branded), Neji (Only Son, Branded)

Haruru's Family: Hana (Mother, OC, Unbranded), Hideo (Father, OC, Hyuga council, Unbranded), Tetsu (Younger Brother, Unbranded, Ao took his eye, Deceased)

Tetsu Hyuga's Family: Nadeshiko (Branch house, OC, Branded), Ai (Daughter, OC, 3 years old, Unbraded)

Hoheto's Family: Himself (Branded), Iroha (Son, Branded)

Natsu's Family: Kaya (Elder Sister, OC, Branded), Herself (Branded), Tokuma (Branded, so far, might change my mind)

Not sure about how to integrate Ko, tho, so he is on his own little corner since he is part of the Main family

Notes:

Natsu and Tokuma are a pair thenks to @smmrinchicago drawing

And the relationships of the hyuga boys are inspired by the drawing of @oivsyo where the boys are having a bath

A character in the elder generation named Hideo is thanks to many fics having a variation of said name (Hideo/Hideto)
