Send me a PM for inquires. Oliver "MAGIC" Räke leaves his first graffiti traces in Dusseldorf in 1984. He is quickly known across the borders of the city and throughout the state. He is one of the true graffiti pioneers in Germany and has the status of a legend. In the late 80s and throughout the 90s he is collaborating with numerous infamous protagonists from the scene like Loomit and How and Nosm. He uses methods that can be described best as Post-Graffiti, avantgard precursors of what is known as street art today. He experiments with the method of tagging using various materials. The serial endless reproduction leads him to print making and the casting of sculptures. Here Oliver is always consistent in his subjects. A hand, that seems to hold a spray can, objects like a power box, that is used as canvas for tagging. The fence that separates him from his creative space, appears in his work again and again. The fence as a symbol of a border, of being against something, being anti, being outside of a society. In all his creations he breathes and lives his graffiti experience. Everything he creates for the inside is connected with a process from the outside. With his concepts, he continues to push the boundaries of understanding graffiti. ▼Info Het allereerste HIJS Live event is een collabo tussen de Nederlandse street art crew CFH en de New Yorkers van The Bushwick Collective. Rewriters010 brengt deze twee crews samen voor een uniek en tijdelijk te bezichtigen kunstwerk in de Rotterdamse wijk Crooswijk.

Op 4 en 5 maart kun je de artiesten van beide crews gezamenlijk live aan het werk zien in de Boezemstraat, op het huizenblok dat loopt van de Vaandrigstraat tot de Tamboerstraat. Er is een parkeerplaats recht tegenover de spot, dus drop zeker langs voor die live painting action!

De collabo is tevens een preview van wat Rewriters nog meer in petto heeft voor Crooswijk. Stay tuned voor updates en download de app!

▼Rewriters Hiphop In Je Smoel startte twee jaar geleden met Rewriters om Rotterdamse street art in de picture te zetten. Dit resulteerde in een route inclusief app met meer dan dertig muurschilderingen in het centrum van Rotterdam. Binnen de route realiseerde Rewriters in samenwerking met lokale kunstenaars dertien muurschilderingen. Inmiddels zijn ze ook actief in andere steden zoals Capelle a/d IJssel en Delft.
