Hello and welcome to "Del wants to ramble about the Outer Range season 2 trailer." I hope you're ready for a whole lot of nothing...

The CGI continues to remind us that it is, in fact, CGI. What the hell is this?

Flash scene of Wayne burning his damn house down. I'd know that bald spot anywhere.

Y'all already heard me ramble about this, but there's something wrong with this dinner scene. Aside from us knowing that the family is not together, there's one major oddity in the background.

Rhett's truck is an entirely different color.

That's his lightbar with the iconic four lights. Still a single-cab GMC Sierra. But Rhett's truck is blue. Not tan.

Wilder, we see Rhett's truck a few scenes later! You can even see how the hood is bent from hitting the billboard.

We finally confirm that Amy is 8. Even though the writer said she was 9...😑Brian Watkins, I had faith in you being correct. If you squint, you'll notice that Rhett's right hand is wounded. I doubt this stems from the rodeo because he always uses his left hand to hang on to the bull. The only injury we saw was to his left shoulder.

I'm taking the guess that up until now, Rhett likely didn't know that Amy went missing during the rodeo. Which may cause him to realize that Cecelia never abandoned him; she was just looking for Amy.

In the official Season 2 press notes, the following is mentioned: "After Amy's disappearance, Rhett is torn between his dreams of starting over somewhere new with Maria and being a dutiful son to Royal and Cecelia." So, I can assume that this might be what sets that into motion?

MY TOUCH THEORY IS DOING THINGS. Look at Autumn's hand. Royal's touching the back of it, and as soon as he pulls away, the cute cosmic lights stop.

I'm so happy to see this random side character make a return. I was so nervous that she was one of those characters that appear for two minutes and that's it.

...this is a wild way for Joy to get in touch with her roots. But unfortunately for her, talking about it will more than likely get her a one-way trip to a psychiatrist.

This gives me so many thoughts. Rhett's shorter hair. He's a hand holder, your honor! Sentence him to a lifetime of snuggles and interlaced fingers!

So we know that for sure, Joy will somehow return to the present timeline. I don't know who could be driving this vehicle, but it looks a lot like the one that was sitting in the Tillerson's driveway in S1. We know Billy drives the older red vehicle, so this can either belong to Luke or Trevor.

Hear me out, hear me out. We can assume that the blonde woman is Autumn, considering the whole...cult thing. We've seen a handful of scenes of her with Luke in this trailer, so what if that's him holding her hand? That hat silhouette looks an awful lot like the one we saw in S1.

Alternatively, It can also be Rebecca and Perry, but I have no evidence to back this other than the blonde hair.

I cannot be convinced that this is a real scene. It's gotta be some kind of dream that Royal is having, especially when you take note of the little white things floating around. It gives a sort of dreamy effect.

THIS IS SHERRIF JOY! Not only is the outfit the same in the following scene (not the one of her running lmao, that's just to show you what the gun looks like), but you can see the gun on her hip.

The hand on Rhett's throat is smaller than his is. Look how thick his fingers are compared to the mystery ones. I'm betting my left foot that this is a female character doing this to him. Autumn and Rebecca are on my list of suspects.

But also, what the hell is he looking at? Never once is he looking at the person doing this to him; he's looking at something behind the camera. Baby, what did they do to you this season?? 😭

I hit my picture limit, but Wayne (I think) diving into the hole made me giggle. He picked such an iconic pose.

Someone says quote "Time reveals all." But I don't think we've heard this voice before?? Who the hell is speaking?

This final shot is insane. Don't know who is coming out, presumably Perry or Wayne, but you could ABSOLUTELY spin Outer Range as a horror if you really wanted to. The elements are all there; they just need a little reworking!

The title of 'Serpent Princess' was because the cast f Riverdale started to call her that during filming and interviews

While rehearsing for Carrie: The Musical, she was Chris Hargenssen while Spencer, her boyfriend at the time, was playing Tommy Ross, and during one rehearsal, she pulled the rope with the bucket (empty) and accidentally hit him in the back, he was okay, only a bruise for a few days (they broke up in january because he moved to Iowa)

The one sided feud with Kira started because she thought Y/N last name was weird and funny, until she found out who was her father

April Foolishness :Buffy the Vampire Slayer

So TV shows based on movies are pretty common but I have to say the most sucesful show based on a film for my money has to be Buffy,because the show is so iconic .....People forget its based on a movie.Now the film has a cult following but nowhere near as big as the shows .Will do some show comparisons but will keep tio a minimum as tonally they are worlds apart ,as this film is firmly a comedy when the show is a bit of a genre buster .Think of this as sort of the rough draft

In this 1992 film Buffy(Kristy Swanson ) is a cheerleader informed by the Watcher ,Merrik (Donald Sutherland) that she is the Slayer,the chosen one reincarnated through the centuries to fight the evils of vampires ,specifically Lothos (Rutger Hauer )

So the movie is a fun slice of early 90's cheese ,and I so see the cult following and the early marks of the TV show .I think the cast is solid with some of my favorite bits just spotting the likes of young Ben Aflek and Hilary Swank .Luke Perry is great as the love interest,I think he added something to a character who couldve been bland ,David Arquette is a scene stealer as a vamparized teen .Stephen Root probabbly gets some of the best jokes in the movie,hes a small character but him talking about his experience with acid got a big laugh .Donald Sutherland I think brings a sense of gravitas to the mentor figure ,and theres a nice dramatic moments where he and buffy just chat and he brings up that he wouldve liked to have been a Boot maker that I found sweet .Paul Reubins doesnt have a lot to do as the villains henchman but his looks and a feew funny lines (AS well as his improvised final scene) make him stand out .My favorite character has to be Rutger Hauer as the villain Lothos ,he just such a fun campy villain ,very classical vampire .Kristy Swanson I feel gets sadly overlooked,and unfairly compared to Sarah Michele Geller .Keep in mind Geller had 7 seasons of character development ,Swanson had one movie ,and Swanson really sells the transformation of cheerleader to Slayer

In terms of negatives.....I honestly feel the script is a bit weak or that a lot has been cut ,because is Lothos in love with Buffy ?Why does Buffy freeze with Lothos ? I dunno I felt very lost at some places .Also while Buffy thinks Merrik is initially a crazy guy or pervert ,she treats this weird old guy WAY to casually.Also if your into the show and decide to watch the movie,be warned the vampires are so diffrent ,being more classical types and a bit goofy ,very jarring to how monstrus the vampires in the show are

So I was scrolling through your page and I saw a post where you recast TVD with 90s actors. And I wanted to ask; which iconic 90s character (tv or movie) do you think is most alike to the TVD mains?

well that's sort of what that list was because a lot of the actors played the type of characters that the mains would be. so for instance, neve campbell, julia, party of five whose parents died in a car crash six months before the show begins who has to deal with teenage stuff and the grief, i could see her being an elena equivalent

damon should be luke perry i.e. dylan in 90210 or he should be spike, that's his mould

Bonnie would be Buffy in terms of her actions and her sacrifices

Firstly I would like to thank Sub Zero for breaking the Steve Blum curse for me. Now with that being said ofc his voice for subz is the most iconic one and I like it a lot but I think I like it BECAUSE he is voicing an older sub zero, idk how well mr. Blum would pull off a young kuai in his late 20s, for me. Regardless, 💙.

On terms of pure tone of voice, Idk how well I like Jim Miller in mk8/9 bc I think its just a TAD bit too deep, but one thing I really do like is how he makes him sound soft, like it cant be just me that hears it right? Maybe its inherent to kuai in mk8/9 but mr. Miller makes him reach critical meow meow levels

Like said above, in terms of pure tone of voice, I gotta say I enjoy Bayardo De Murguia as kuai in botr, but only when he's masked up, like idk maybe the slight reverb adds smth more but I buy him a lot more that way than when hes unmasked at the beginning

Nothing to say much about Ron Yuan in snowblind other than his voice and acting were very fitting. He is more emotive as sub zero in there than as scorpion in mk11 but I know its a matter of direction and not a critique on his work

Im extremely fond of Luke Perry as subz in the defenders cartoon bc if I had a nickel everytime a blue character captured my heart while also having a nasally voice id have two nickels yknow yknow

cant wait until we get proper audio of Daisuke Tsuji as kuai in mk12 bc we heard one (1) line from him in the lin kuei trailer whoch sounded pretty good with him being hammy, but im waiting for the clean lin kuei bros cutscene where they climb the wall bc his normal-speaking voice sounds much softer and if theres one thing about me its that I like softer spoken kuai liang.

See, hot take but I like mk11's noob saibot's voice, the raspy whispery voice makes him more inhuman which fit imo, also I know it killed Sean Chiplock's vocal chords so he has my sympaphy.

Who doesnt have my sympathy is whoever directed Kaiji Tang to voice bi-han like that in mk12, see the reason I tolerate mk11's bi-han's voice is specifically bc he is noob, regular bi-han having that aggressive raspiness seems cruel to mr. Tang's vocal chords especially when you hear his more normal speaking voice like when he dubbed Ichiban in yakuza 7, which would ALSO be a fit for bi-han if he sounded just more agressive. Like hell, even in mk mythologies bi-han has never sounded as raspy as that.
