Desert modern Graffiti house by Matt Dougan This is the 3d architectural rendering of the front elevation for my concept desert modern home . I based the finish painting of the homes stucco on my painting which I did in the manner of the graffiti I see on the train boxcars. I am a fan of graffiti + the Mexican architects Ricardo Legorreto + Luis Barragan who both used vivid colored stucco + arranged geometric forms + windows in play with light. This home has the colors, textures, form + finishes indicative of the southwest U.S. , Mexico + the west coast. This home would be awesome in Malibu, Joshua Tree, LA, phoenix, Tucson, taos, santa fe or mexico. Happy snowy day after thanksgiving from beautiful Sedona, AZ, we and most all of northern Arizona are supposed to get more this afternoon and evening. Some areas around flagstaff have gotten over 2 feet of snow! I spent the morning clearing heaving wet snow from the tree branches as it was breaking limbs and I had to trim some branches off as well. Rear Elevation / deck side towards the view Architectural design concept for Minimalist Air bnb studio residences wrapped in rusted steel panels and built on steel piers for Sedona, Az. Designed by Matt Dougan. There will be 4 units total with the 4th unit built slab on grade for ADA access. All will have open studio concept with bed facing out to the views with a fireplace and kitchenette. Bathroom will be behind bed headboard with sliding mirrored wall so one can see the view from the bathroom if they like as well. These would be awesome on the coasts like in the hills of Malibu as they would be fire retardant with the all steel wrap.
