hi hi i was inspired by the reaction to my OC treestar from the amazing commission i got from my sibling meroaw! so i wanted to post a little more about treestar along with some pics i’ve done of her. Treestar, born Roar of Falling Tree, is a really very small scrappy she-cat with long fur. She, alongside two other loners, are visited by a medicine cat spirit and are guided to found Clans to unite the loners in the area so they don’t die out Treestar founds TreeClan as advised but sees more potential in the concept of a Clan than her fellow leaders, Hollowstar and Ridgestar. More events occur, TreeClan becomes a very populous Clan with a few very different rules. Long after Treestar has passed, her legacy is challenged by Smokestream, a feisty warrior who has suffered greatly due to Treestar’s lasting reach on the Clan Thats all ill say for now thanks for reading :)

yes, i have eight :] script on both shins directly under the kneecaps (“black swan” curving around one and “i’m dying not to hurt you” under the other), my right outer calf (bluestar from warriors, with art by @meroaw), my inner forearm on both sides (my dog pretzel in b/g realism near my elbow and a cartoony clown bat on my wrist on my left arm, “i got a hollowpoint smile” in my best friend cass’s handwriting with a simple hollowpoint bullet on my right) and my outer forearm on both sides also (american traditional curved dagger on my left arm, neotraditional portrait of the angel of the waters/the RETURN angel from the drop curtain at the 2019 reunion concert with “HEAVEN HELP US” curving around her near my wrist)!

8: want any tattoos?

yes, but i’m assuming you’d like specifics, so let me lay out i few i have planned for the future:

the biggest future tattoo i have planned is my backpiece — a black swan pulling a red ribbon off of its neck, wings spread so that they go across my shoulderblades and onto the backs of my arms. i DO already have an artist in mind but this is a far-future kind of tatt just based on the size/subsequent cost and the fact that the artist is one i’d have to travel to see

i definitely want star wars/trek tattoos; i have a deposit and design on file with a studio in savannah for a star wars tattoo but again that’s one that i’d have to travel for so that will have to wait until the next time i’m in sav. i have a vague idea in mind for a trek tattoo but that’s a small sort of thing that i might ask for for a christmas or birthday gift…and i know i want a grogu+mando tattoo somewhere but that’s even vaguer.

my friend @andpierres has a design on hold for me as well that i’m SO excited about but that’s one that will also have to wait for an overlap between “nico is licensed to tattoo on other people” and “pi can afford travel expenses to cali and to pay for the session and tip” situation ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

and finally @/anothersuperstition has everybody hates the eagles flash designs that i’m planning to purchase tattoo tickets for but again, even once i’ve gotten the rights to get the two designs i have my eye on tattooed i don’t know when i’ll be in the market to actually get ink done unfortunately 😭 i’m in an interesting financial situation rn as i’m still looking for permanent employment and even once i’ve found a job tattoo money will be prioritized under saving for emergency expenses and for eventually moving out on my own.

Wings of Fire Is Out

Wings of Fire is no longer in the running for best childhood book after losing to Artemis Fowl by an incredibly close 1.2%. There's been a lot of love for this series, so I'll be providing some ways to get to know the series and the fandom.

A quick summary: Wings of Fire is about a continent filled with many species of dragons. They all have different skills, appearances, and kingdoms, but most of the continent is being forced to take sides in an inheritance struggle for the SandWing throne. It was prophesied that five dragonets, each born on the brightest night, would end the conflict and choose a new queen. Those five dragonets, having grown up in secret, are now forced to fulfill the prophecy and save the ones they love. The series is split into smaller arcs of five, each set in the same world but focused on different characters.

I’m not back… yet

So that January return didn’t work out did it? But never fear! I do have an update <3

Firstly and less excitingly, I’ve officially retired Lithaira and her friends. I actually did this IRL like midway through last year and ran this blog on buffer content until I went on hiatus. I made their story when I was in my high school years, and now as an adult I’ve outgrown what I did with it. I still love a lot of what I did, so I’m keeping my favorite parts and tucking them away for another project (not the one I’m currently working on). But those four and this world is retired now, and I’ll be adding a Retired tag to all their posts.

With that out of the way, time for the fun part! That new project I’m working on that sent me into hiatus in the first place! I’m not ready to reveal any details yet, but I’m almost there! What I can say is that this new project is going to be a serially published novella. My plan is one update a week for about a year. With a couple of pre-planned breaks between acts. I’ll be posting here on this blog of course, and also on Tapas! I’m aiming for an early spring release, so late March/early April.

I plan on posting updates and actual details to this blog soon! Just gotta get all my ducks in a row before I do lol. The only thing left for me to sort out before I start revealing stuff is my antagonist and a final plot revision. I’m pretty much set on everything else <3 In the meantime, you can find me on my other blogs if you’d like to see what I’m up too!

@painted-fanbird is my fan blog! This is where I post fanart and headcanons and whatever incomprehensible feelings I have about media that is not my own. The content I post here is not consistent, it’s literally just whatever is in my brain at any given moment lol. I usually post here about once a week!
