Strange
You never really thought if this could happen, falling in love, something strange that you hadn't had the chance to experience, it felt weird but right. He never tried to get romantically close but… That seemed so attractive that he wouldn't mind looking for a girlfriend a bit like the others did. He only focused on himself, on his goals, on his ideals.
The way he looked when he was enjoying what he was doing caused indescribable things in you, it's like listening to someone you love about something they love, that feeling that you could be there forever just watching and trying to understand why he likes it, even if you never understand why.
It was strange the way you softened your heart for someone who was unaware of your existence and someone who never considered you more than a nuisance.

Shoto's father would never let him be with a boy. Never. And definitely not the one with black hair and sparkly eyes and a hand that Shoto wants to hold and-
Shit.
Shoto's got it bad.
-
Shoto invites Hanta to a house party to try and work out his feelings. But it just makes him think more about how his father feels about boys with boys.
Inspired by the song 'Car Lights' by James Marriott.

TW: homophobia
contains: endeavour bashing, confused shoto, flirty sero, kissing with tongue, a house party and a first kiss
Am I allowed to feel like this? Shoto thinks whenever he looks at Hanta. Sero Hanta. The boy with the flat hair. The boy with the tape in his elbows. The boy with the grey eyes. The boy that, for whatever reason, Shoto thinks is the most beautiful boy in the world.
But Shoto isn’t allowed to think that. Hanta is a boy. Why should he feel like this about a boy? Someone who’s the same gender as him?
His father will hit him if he ever finds out. So Shoto intends to keep it a secret. A secret until his father inevitably finds out. He will find out, sooner or later. It’s only a matter of time, Shoto thinks. A matter of time until his father finds out that Shoto isn’t as straight as he thought he was.
The thought makes Shoto want to bite his fingers off. Because what if his father does find out? And what if Hanta then finds out what his father is really like? What then?
He jumps when his phone goes off and he picks it up. It’s his older sister, Fuyumi.
Fuyumi
Hey Shoto, Dad wanted me to ask you if you wanted to come back home for a house party? You can invite one friend xx
Shoto smiles at the ‘kisses’, as Fuyumi calls them, at the end of her message. He pulls up his keyboard and messages her back.
Shoto
Do I have to talk to him?
Fuyumi
Not at all Sho x
Shoto
Okay. I’ll think about it. Thank you.
She sends a red heart back and he puts his phone down. Now he just has to work out who to ask. He has an idea, but whether or not he’ll have the courage to ask, he doesn’t know.
~~~
The roof of the Class 1-A dorm building is probably the only place that Shoto really feels safe on. It’s weird–it’s a roof, but with the wind blowing through his hair and the view of the city of Hosu below him, it’s comforting.
And someone else comes up here every night.
“Shoto!” Hanta shouts, grinning as he sits down next to the boy with the two-toned hair. “I didn’t think you’d be up here today!”
“Hello, Hanta.” Shoto looks at him and immediately feels it again. The twinge in his chest. The urge to lean in. He sees the sparkle in Hanta’s eyes and fuck, he’s got it bad. But he looks away and tries to think of a conversation starter.
The party. His brain tells him. Right. “Hey, Hanta, my father’s holding a house party soon.”
“He is?” Hanta grins and Shoto wishes he could be blind. “That’s so cool, I wish my dad would do something like that.”
And Shoto wishes his dad wasn’t Endeavour. “I can invite one friend. Would…” Shoto, compose yourself, damn it. “Would you like to come with me?”
Hanta’s grin reaches both sides of his face. “Seriously? I would love to!” Thank the Gods. “But…isn’t your dad a…rough spot?”
“My sister said I don’t have to talk to him. And I know the way up to the roof of my house. Nobody will find us up there.” Hanta nods. “I’ll find out the time and date and then send it to you, okay?”
“Sounds good! I’ll keep my calendar free!” Shoto nods and silence falls between the two boys. Silence between them is never bad or awkward. They just…understand each other.
Hanta has two sisters and a brother. They play a game called ‘Minecraft’ together, which Shoto had never even heard of before until Hanta made him play it in his dorm.
Shoto died. Multiple times. But it was all worth it to feel Hanta’s hands on top of his as he showed him how to use the controller.
Shoto instinctively moves his hand to touch Hanta’s, then pulls it back. No. He isn’t allowed to do that. His father would hate him for it.
Then Hanta moves his hand. And interlocks his smallest finger with Shoto’s.
Yeah. Shoto has it bad.
~~~
He lays on his bed for around an hour, wondering how the fuck to phrase a message to Hanta. Hey so I actually like you more than my father would ever like me to like a guy and I want to date you? He doesn’t even know how to date him, how is he supposed to know what it truly feels like to love someone?
Or should he just say, We can’t talk anymore because I like you too much and my father will actually kill you because he hates gay people and I don’t know why I’m saying this because we aren’t even dating and I don’t know how to feel about you because this is so confusing and you probably only see me as a friend.
His hand hovers over the send button for a few seconds until he sends a single word.
Shoto
Hello
The reply is instant.
Hanta
Hey! How are you?
Shoto
Good. The party is in three days at 5:30PM
Hanta
Okay! I’m free then!
Shoto
Good.
Shoto thinks that if he says the word, ‘good’ one more time then he’ll rip his fucking hair out. Why does he have to always say the same thing? Why can’t he just say something normal?
Hanta
You good?
Shoto
Of course I am.
Hanta
You just seemed a little tense earlier haha
Shoto narrows his eyes. A lowercase ‘haha’ from Hanta is never a good sign.
Shoto
Well, I could ask you that question. Got anything on your mind?
Hanta
A lot of things ;)
What is that supposed to mean?
Shoto
Elaborate?
Hanta
I’m just playing with ya Shoto. See you at the party
Shoto
Okay.
And Shoto falls asleep with the image of the winking face on his mind.
~~~
After an agonising three days of waiting, Shoto stands outside Hanta’s dorm. They’ve barely talked since the text messages a couple days ago, but that just happens with them. Their meetings are short but stay in Shoto’s mind for weeks.
Hanta grins when he walks out of his dorm, dressed up in a black tuxedo. Shoto clears his throat when he sees it, trying to keep the heat at his cheeks away. Hanta laughs and just grabs Shoto’s hand, pulling him down the stairs.
Now Shoto’s cheeks do heat up. They wait outside the school together until a black cab picks them up and Shoto sits in the front while Hanta stays in the back. Occasionally, Shoto catches Hanta looking at him in the rearview mirror, and he quickly looks out of the window to the side of him.
Fuck. Why is he still fucking feeling like this? He’s not supposed to. He can’t–he’s not allowed.
He should’ve just brought Bakugo with him so that he doesn’t need to worry about any of this. Bakugo can just talk to his sister and Shoto can sit on his roof. Simple.
But Hanta? Shoto doesn’t think he can last five more seconds in the same room as him.
Shoto catches Hanta staring at him in the mirror again. And this time, Hanta winks.
Fuck.
They manage to arrive at Shoto’s family house before he fucking dies and he steps out, going to open Hanta’s door before the boy opens it himself.
Okay. That’s fine. Shoto didn’t even need to open it anyway. It’s completely fine. Shoto definitely hasn’t maybe, definitely made himself look like a fool.
His sister grins when she sees him and runs up to the two. “Oh, Shoto, I’m so glad you could come!” She wraps her arms around him.
“Hey, Fuyumi.” She pulls away and looks at Hanta, still beaming.
“And you must be Sero! Shoto’s told me all about you!” Hanta smiles as he greets Fuyumi. “Now, come inside!”
Shit. Shoto doesn’t want to come inside. In fact, he’d much rather stay out here. But Hanta looks too eager. He walks forward, before he turns back. “Shoto?” There are too many people inside. The world sways under Shoto’s feet. “Hey.” Hanta puts his hand on Shoto’s shoulder.
“I’m fine-“ Shoto says quickly but Hanta grabs his hand and pulls him to go into the house.
And now it doesn’t seem that scary anymore.
Hanta pushes through the crowds, gushing ‘excuse me’s’ and apologising whenever he bumps into people. The guests don’t seem to mind, though. “You got anywhere we can go?” Hanta yells over the loud music that Shoto has drowned out as soon as they had walked in. Shoto nods and leads Hanta to the back of the house. “Phew! I thought I was about to lose a leg in there.”
Shoto almost laughs before he stops himself. No. His father could be anywhere. He can’t risk it. Not now. “We can get to the roof from here.” He pulls down a silver ladder and starts climbing up it. Hanta follows him. The flashing, colourful lights of the party fade away once they’re on the roof and they perch on the overlapping tiles, looking around.
“It’s beautiful up here.” Hanta whispers, looking at Shoto. “But, hey, not as beautiful as you.”
Shoto feels his cheeks burn. “Are you flirting with me, Hanta?”
“Maybe. What’re you gonna do about it?” Shoto almost turns before he stops.
“Don’t.”
“Don’t what?”
“Don’t say things like that.” Shoto says. “It’s not safe here.”
Hanta purses his lips as he looks around. “Why not?”
“My father. He’s- he’s not very nice about these things.” Hanta doesn’t look mad. If anything, he looks concerned. “Aren’t you mad?”
“Shoto, have you really let yourself believe him?” Shoto makes eye contact with Hanta. “Seriously?”
“He’s my father-“
“Just because he’s your father doesn’t mean he rules your life. Just because you’re related to him doesn’t mean his opinions matter.” Shoto stiffens at that. “Shoto, I’m going to ask you one question. Are we friends? Or are we more than that?”
Shoto opens his mouth to protest but Hanta cuts him off. “Don’t think about your dad. Think about you.”
Shoto looks to the side. He wants to be more than friends with Hanta, he just knows it. He knows it from the way his pupils dilate when he thinks about Hanta, he knows it from the love letters plastered on his walls that he wrote, he knows it from the thrill he gets from sparring with Hanta, he knows it.
Shoto nods. “I want to be…more than friends.”
“Then stop being so tense.” Shoto looks at Hanta, the latter of which is smiling vaguely. “Loosen up.”
The boy with the multicoloured eyes and hair, the boy that Hanta can never take his eyes off of sighs. “How do I loosen up?”
“Let me teach you.” Hanta cups Shoto’s face and starts to lean in. He stops when he’s close and waits for Shoto to do something, anything.
Shoto stares at him blankly. Then, he leans in and pressed his lips against Hanta’s.
Their first kiss isn’t pretty. Teeth clash, tongues collide sloppily, and neither boy knows exactly where to put his hands. But after they pull away at first, Shoto puts his left hand at the back of Hanta’s head and his right hand at Hanta’s waist, then leans in again.
Hanta moves his arms to wrap around Shoto’s neck as their lips press against each other’s, and this time the kiss starts out slow. They ease into it, and soon Hanta pushes his tongue against Shoto’s lips. Shoto instinctively opens his lips, and Hanta pushes his tongue through, making Shoto gasp as he feels it against the top of his mouth. “This okay?” Hanta mutters.
Shoto nods, then leans in more, his hand on Hanta’s waist moving to the boy’s chest. His other hand grabs a fistful of black hair as he presses his tongue against Hanta’s. Shoto grins as Hanta gasps, then the former tilts his head to get a more comfortable position.
They’re learning. They both try to stay at a steady pace, but soon get too eager and just make out until one of them needs to take a breath. But before either boy can pull away, a voice behind them makes Shoto pull away quickly.
“If you’re going to make out with a boy on the roof, could you at least do it where I can’t see it? I don’t need to see your tongue down his throat.” Natsuo. Shoto’s older brother. Shoto sighs as he sits down next to them. “And you’re lucky dad hasn’t seen you yet.”
“He won’t.” Shoto says. “He doesn’t know the way up to the roof.”
“Yeah, because his fat ass would break the ladder.” Hanta laughs at that, then stops when the two siblings stare at him.
“What? It was funny!”
“Shoto, is this your boyfriend?” Shoto’s jaw drops at Natsuo’s question, but Hanta is quick to respond.
“Mhm.” Hanta grabs Shoto’s hand. “He is.”
“I am?”
“You are.” Hanta laughs at Shoto’s sudden shocked expression. “What? You thought after we made out it was just nothing?”
Shoto looks back at Natsuo to see him fake-gagging. He shoves his brother, then turns back around. “No, I just-“
“Okay, I’m leaving now. Go make out more if you want, but don’t choke each other.” Shoto rolls his eyes at Natsuo’s comment and Hanta cups his face again.
“We need to find a place where we won’t be found.” Shoto nods. “Come on.” Hanta tightens his grip on his hand and they go back down the ladder, then start to run.
“Where are we going?”
“You’ll see!” Hanta laughs as he runs, causing Shoto to laugh too. “I’ve never heard you laugh before!” Hanta looks over his shoulder and smiles.
Yep. Shoto still has it bad.
“I don’t do it much.” Shoto says in a quieter voice, almost crashing into Hanta as the latter stops. “Where are we?”
“Use your fire to light up the lanterns.” Shoto nods and shoots fire into the lanterns that he can see, which soon light up the landscape around them.
They’re on a wooden bridge, over a river full of coy fish. Shoto’s eyes widen when he looks over the edge, holding onto the railing of the bridge. “Holy shit…” He whispers. Hanta laughs and grabs onto the railing next to him.
“I found this a couple years ago and wanted to reserve it for a special moment. Nobody really comes here, the area around it is all overgrown.” Shoto looks at the darkened trees on the other side of the bridge to see that it is, in fact, overgrown. Very overgrown.
Hanta smiles and leans his head on Shoto’s shoulder. “Promise me you won’t listen to your father’s opinions again?”
“Promise.” Shoto mutters.
“Now come here.” Hanta grabs Shoto’s face and leans in, stopping just before he hits Shoto’s lips. And when Shoto leans in, he smiles.
The cars lining the road behind them light up the moonlit sky full of the constellations both boys would steal for another in a heartbeat.
Lab Rat
To be honest, this was what you wanted, right? Being by his side will cost what it will cost, how stubborn you are, you never understand, no matter how much he shows you, you always came dragging yourself along. Why would someone like you mess with such a vengeful villain like him?
Perhaps it was his arrogance and flirtation that caught you, but you were not the only one, you never were, you are not, and you never will be. He has a choice, knowing him will conquer any girl to satisfy his most twisted desires. He uses them and then gets rid of them, that was the only thing he didn't do with you, oh poor thing, the little mouse feels special because they treat it differently. Big mistake.
don't complain now, you're the one who has endured the most by her side, you've taken all her tantrums and outbursts you end up with some burns but it's not something that can't be cured with a couple of bandages, you should be happy, happy to be sick of love for someone who hardly recognizes you. You let yourself be carried away by pleasure and here you are, on the floor with cuts and your medications all over the room, everything is spinning and after a long time your mind becomes lucid.
The day he gets tired of you and you no longer serve him, he's going to leave you to your own devices or maybe you'll end up like all the others, remember your place, Dabi said, you're just a simple laboratory mouse, when he finishes experimenting with you, you're going to die for all the side effects of the devotion he showed him and the "love" you thought he showed you.
Heart Eyes
- hey, what happens to your eyes?
- "Nothing, they are as always, full of my love for you," kirishimq said with a smile. That damn smile that he only dedicated to me was no longer the same, it felt plastic and false like your feelings in the last two weeks.
- Yes, I'm glad that it continues like this- I knew that it was fake, I realized that your eyes were not the same ones you had when you were in love with me, it's better to finish this before I hurt myself seeing who the person is for which your eyes are heart-shaped now.
SOMETING BETTER  (SHOTO TODOROKI X READER)
''Spring came and showed more than its flowers with bright colors
with it came a thought that ate at my brain and made me spend my sleepless nights
I don't know if I was overthinking or exaggerating but every time he walked by my side I felt insufficient as if my existence did not meet the requirements to be his partner
a feeling that made me fill with sadness and made me wonder
am i good enough? why did he choose me? Is he making fun of me? No, he is not like that
He would never make fun of a person, his heart is too innocent to do something like that, but... why does he treat me like that? being that there are people much more qualified to be with him, why would he have to settle for me?
If this continues like this I'm going to go crazy, I can't deal with this anymore, it hurts me to see that he has to settle for anyone just to keep up appearances''
at night when everyone was asleep a shadow slipped to the boys' wing looking for a certain family room and without making any noise left a note in front of the door
the morning came and the birds sang a beautiful day to begin, a young man with straight bicolor hair prepared to leave opening the door of his room, seeing a letter on his carpet, he picked it up and opened it with intrigue
"dear shoto todoroki, I want you to know that you are the love of my life but my bitter feelings and afflicted thoughts have done nothing but wear me down little by little to the point of questioning what I should do"
Todoroki read the letter now having an idea of who sent it but he was surprised at the purpose of the letter, he continued reading line by line until something caught his eye, it was not good and he knew it, he opened his eyes and his heart beat strongly for him pain that he felt to the point that he grabbed his chest trying to calm the tears that warned him to come out to continue reading what would be his ultimatum, finally breaking his heart
''I don't feel enough when I'm with you, I always think that you should be with someone better and I only wait for the day when you break my heart, but, I decide to free you from the chains that you have tied, I really love you shoto but we have to end it this''
