Bear dreams buttons for hair ties. These 2.5 cm buttons were my quick idea for the animal theme in aiming for. Each .9cm fish and thought bubble took me about 1.5 hours to make. I used French knots to make the scales and wrapped around the knots to help make the scale shape. Though they were my quick makes, I'm not satisfied with making just easy embroidery pieces. I know I can do better, which is why the fox is the main piece! The bears are still cute and a favorite of mine. I think the sleeping bear is my favorite. A couple of lovely, hand embroidered pansy hair ties have been sent off to Alabama. They were a lovely gift to one lucky lady. The air is starting to chill in Tokyo, after a very hot summer. I'm a mini Jinbei factory!! I now have two sizes of the Ocean pattern Jinbei in white, and two sizes of the cow pattern. Next I'm hoping to make more of the Ocean patterns but in blue and dark blue. Actually this took me longer than I expected to make the two ocean jinbeis. Mostly because of low energy levels. My daughter had been waking up at night every night! So not much energy to make... The embroidery for the earrings are done! These past few days, I've come down a bit with a small cold. Some sneezing, but mostly this cold is zapping the energy out of me. Early bedtimes and morning naps help a bit.
