Mol, my malevolence ❤️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alice and Mol for my Turnip28 regiment are finally done and I'm incredibly happy with how these two came out! This project was a ton of fun and I can't thank everyone enough for the support as they followed it along with me these past few weeks! Now I just need to work on the rest of my army!

Laserburn, sci-fi combat rules by Bryan Ansell (Tabletop Games, 1980), a miniature skirmish game intended for 15mm figures, 12-20 per side. (Edit to add: Cover art by Tony Yates)
Laserburn includes many elements that were incorporated into the setting of Rogue Trader/Warhammer 40K a few years later -- an Imperium of man with megacities fed by wild frontier colonies, an Inquisition, Lord Knights, the Red Redemption, battle brothers with metal carapaces fused to their bodies, bolters, flamers, plasma guns, conversion beamers, and armor types including flak, mesh, power and dreadnought (tactical dreadnought armor in Rogue Trader was sometimes called terminator armor, a name that eventually became standard).

While I much prefer to make brighter minis, I’ve always wanted a go at trying todo a Turnip28 mini. While it’s still brighter than most lol, I’m really happy with it’s style and basing.
Turnip28 is a grimdark setting where root-vegetable people fight each other in muddy lands, he’s a carrot man!

TASTE THE RAINBOW 🌈
(Longbow LGB-7Q)
Still a W.I.P. along with Falconer in the back and Urbanmech not pictured. Hopefully this one will be leading my Alphastrike force.
I think the Pilot will be named "Skittles"

Vermillion Bird
I made a Vermilion Bird miniature from Iron Widow by @xiranjayzhao

This is scaled for many miniature wargames and I made it by combining Flipturz’s Cheetah mech, some wings, and feathers all from Thingiverse

Start your engines, the High Voltage Tabletop Bundle is now live on Itchio!
This bundle is live until the end of January 31st so don't miss out and grab your copy today!
The High Voltage Tabletop Bundle is a collection of tabletop games designed to play fast and loud - whether that's because they set up and play quickly, come packed with more action than a shounen battle anime, or fuel vibrant, energetic character moments in both success and tragedy. Laser gunfights, burning rubber, music so loud it wakes the neighbours.
This set of twenty games for $20 is curated to give you an exciting taste of what indie game design has to offer for those looking for some bite to their gaming.

Looking for something simple to learn to teach a group of folks new to the tabletop scene? We've got you. Hankering for something fun and fast to run for your long-time players in between campaign arcs? You'll find it here. Looking to capture the neon nostalgia of retro pulp and turn-of-the-century anime? Oh boy do we have that.
I'm super proud of the broad range of (delightfully queer) designers who have come together to make this bundle happen, from newcomers to the scene to some serious movers and shakers!
Your support will bring some serious delight to some excellent folks, so hop on over to The High Voltage Tabletop Bundle and Live Fast, (Polyhedral) Die Hard!

Hi, Fiona speaking, this is my yearly post cataloging what I've done during the year, I know I've been on Tumblr for about a month, but I feel like I want to post more here!
This is just what I have painted ~this year and my progress as a painter. I hope the following years are just as successful, if not more! I hope to meet lots of lovely people and get to talk about Warhammer and miniature painting!
Thank you for reading! That's all! 💕

Weird hobby tip: A while back I made this very crude boat shape out of cardboard, so that when I apply sand to my bases I can then pour all the overshot excess back into the container via the narrow tip.

Da Big 'Un IZ FINALLLY 'EHE! Also gorts for scale. This was my attempt to force myself to learn lighting effects, I'm still terrible at it, but I think irl it looks quite good, and I'm prideful of the fact I even finished him.

This is the Toff for my Turnip28 army. General Stolka, leader of the 13th Garlic Grenadiers. If I ever get around to it I'd like to write a short story about him, but for now here is the finished model I converted out of a Reaper Miniatures Half-Ogre Fighter, and a lot of Warhammer Fantasy Bits. I'm very happy with how he came out, now I need to start painting his Toadies and Followers.

Grenadier Models 1978 catalog, cover by Ray Rubin. This early catalog included the 25mm "Wizzards and Warriors" fantasy miniature range, the "Space Squadrons 2998" spaceships, and the 25mm "Starsoldiers" figures which were "inspired by G R Dickenson's Dorsai series, The Forever War by Joe Haldeman, and Starship Troopers by R A Heinlein."
Alongside the 25mm Western Gunfighters are a number of historical wargaming ranges that disappeared from later Grenadier catalogs -- 25mm Ancients (Sumerians, Egyptians, Republican Romans, Carthaginians, Imperial Romans, Gauls, Dacians, plus a gladiator set), 25mm English Civil War and Medieval Chivalry, and 15mm American Civil War.

An ODST Medic tentatively crossing a hardlight bridge to reach his squad
The hardlight bridge was really tricky but really fun to paint, I’m really proud of it, it’s based it on the Halo CE ones, here’s what it looked like before it was painted:

Been struggling with my camera the past few days so I decided to throw up a quick group photo with my phone for now. Need some catharsis from just getting these guys online. Better shots and individuals to follow in the next few days.
